FS Moscow event

Teil 6

The last event of this year was FS Moscow. And I couldn’t expect that I will be there not as a participant but as an organizer.

I’ve took a post of Chief Event Manager and one of my tasks was a visa support of international guests – judges and teams as well - and it was the moooost interesting task :D

As I already told I was responsible for preparations for visas in my team but it was European visa, but in this autumn I worked on Russian visas for our guests.

When I’ve prepared badges for judges my colleague Anastasia told me that will be very nice if I will write the “International Expert” on judges’ badges... But she didn’t tell me why :D but then I understood that I should write “inDernational expert”

I started to work with guys in time but organizers on another side of this business weren’t very quickly. So, I had time to check all websites for getting the Russian visa in Germany, Netherlands, Czech Republic and Estonia. Everything happened not in time and in unexpectable moments, and that’s why some guys from Brno and Tallinn couldn’t get invitation from organizers but with the help of our university I can make invitations for them from our university (thank you, Kate, alumni of our team are everywhere <3)

Despite the fact that invitations were “fast” guys couldn’t get the visa in time… but my negotiation skills have helped us.

I experienced phone conversations with representatives of Russian Consulates in Germany, Czech Republic, Estonia, Netherlands…. Actually with all countries from where we have waited for our guests. Finally, all guys have received their visas (honestly I was very nervous until the moment when they’ve received it)

Especially I was nervous about judges because of they all are from different cities and did everything independently. If teams were in consulates with the group in case with judges, I thought that I should support each of them and sometimes I thought that I was annoying. But these days for me were like a work at kindergarten :D

Ok, the moment of arrival in Russia has come. Russians are very hospitable people and if guys from Brno and Tallinn were with their teammates it wasn’t so difficult and fearfully to find the way from Airport to Hotel. But anyway I was ready to help guys in every moment))

In cases with judges, we decided to find a person who will meet them and accompany on the way to the hotel. BUUUUT… one of the judges didn’t want to accept the help of meeting person, I’ve thought that he is just this kind of people that don’t like a company with strangers and I even asked him if he likes adventures but he was sure that he doesn’t need help. OOOOKKK. But in the day when he came – he's got lost in the Belorusskaya station but the final destination was Gorky Park :D ahhh. ok, he’s passed the half of way and fortunately, guys found him and everything was good ;D (Moscow is the angry and dangerous city)

After this situation, he’s got the nickname Selbständig (independent) <3

One evening after event day we decided to go to Bar with our German guests and it was very interesting to see their reaction on Russian October Fest. I’m not beer expert but I guess Russian beer is not so good as german :D

Days of events didn’t have some super interesting situations. But I’ve experienced a cost report judge role and it was very hard for me because of we had 12 teams and only 10 minutes break between them. I hope that no one hates me after that :D

Ok, in last day we’ve found some free time and I offered to judges and TU Brno Racing guys to come and see our laboratory and university in general. I came back to kindergarten despite I was the youngest person there but I didn’t want to lose someone in Moscow metro :)

I showed to guys our laboratories, we discussed some things about our projects and then they’ve told me that they wanna eat and it would be good if it will be Russian food. And the first thing that has come to my mind is Teremok in Serebryaniy Dom MALL :D (guys from my university know this place) that’s not a bad place but definitely not for foreigners. We’ve come to Teremok and it was a work shift of one lady who is veeeeery annoying, I told her that these guys don’t speak Russian but she continued to offer them something else :D ok, we ordered 10 units of double portions of pelmeni! :D very Russian food but ladies that worked at this café wasn't so happy but they could make it for us :D when security workers drove us out of the fact that the mall was closing we started to search for another place where we continue our party. We’ve gone to arbat street and tried to find the right place but almost everywhere was face control and dress code and despite the fact we looked awesome we didn’t want to try to make party among luxury Moscow people :D

They don’t deserve our company :P

We finally found the bar at the beginning of New Arbat street and had a good time together.

That was the last night with judges but on the next day, we planned with Brno guys to go to Ostankino Tower…) We came to VDNH station and decided to go to Ostankino by walking. In Moscow all these days the weather was very good. So we enjoyed the weather, Moscow and guys were wondered that drivers can pass pedestrians on road :D

When we finally came up to Ostankino Tower and passed all security checks we came to the ticket office and they told us that all tickets are sold out !!! We continue our trip at VDNH area, and even sent letter from Russia by Russian Post - the fastest post in the world :DDD

But anyway I was very happy to have a chance to meet my FS friends in Moscow and spend time with them <3

And all my efforts were worth it. I felt as a part of your team <3 and will be happy to see you in Russia again :)

Съездили на First Saturday в парк Погуляли и собрали баннер с планетками.Вспомнили отчество Гагарина и сколько минут он провел в космосе 😊 В Сокольниках почти весь снег растаял, по тропинкам приятно гулять. Правда, частично парк перегорожен различными заборами 🤔 реконструкция? Не поняла. От метро до парка тоже все перекопано и перегорожено 🙄 приятно удивили палатки с фасфудом - глинтвейн, булочки, хотдоги, пицца, блины, кукуруза и можно пластиковыми карточками оплачивать.
