🌿 favorite comfort food: as far as what i can get at home i really love when my dad makes fresh soy milk. it varies all over china but in shanghai (where both my parents’ families are from) you drink it when it’s fresh so it’s warm (it’s not like, milky, it’s just like soup) and you season it with scallions and sesame oil and it’s sooo good, i always look forward to having it when i come home from uni for holidays. but i also love a good in-n-out burger bc ya girl is from the #west lol

🌼 favorite alcohol (or hot drink): i LOVE bubbles and rosé but my default drinks are irish coffee if i’m at home or school, gin and tonic when i’m hanging out with people or by myself (or a tom collins, which is same idea), or a pornstar martini if i’m feeling trashy lol

🌷 favorite relaxing activity: practicing piano, probably, since i don’t get as much time as i’d like to, especially on my pianos at home :’)

🌸 favorite fluffy/feel-good fic: this is so hard and i usually read so much angst but...if you’re a deancas stan like me and looking for something slightly longer, highly recommend the breath of all things. if you’re a peter jakes hoe like me i really love champagne kisses and young and beautiful as well!

🌻 favorite calming scent: freshly cleaned linen! although again because i’m #fromthewest i love in-n-out so the smell of those burgers and fries makes me really happy

🌺 favorite relaxing or uplifting songs: my friend luke is an r&b singer lol i would highly rec may i ask and used to me!

🌵 favorite white noise: ocean sounds? i also really love café chatter and stuff, probably because i’ve worked in one for like the last 2 years.

🍄 favorite book to get lost in: the ensemble by aja gabel, if you’re in the mood for something more poignant, or beauty queens by libba bray, if you want a good laugh and also agree that the lord of the flies situation was bad because it was a bunch of rich white boys instead of richly characterized diverse teen beauty queens

💐 favorite chill-out tv show: brooklyn nine-nine or arrested development, if i’m not in the mood for crime and drama

🌹 best advice you’ve ever had: when i was going through college applications and i got rejected from my dream school i called my ex to console me and basically was like i’m never gonna be successful and everything’s awful i’m gonna drop out of school!!!! and he said “ivy listen to me you’re depressed but you’re not stupid, just know when you are better you can do whatever you want and everyone will love you even more” so that was really sweet and it’s stuck with me 'til this day
