plus the stuff about vee having her origin changed to fit the fan theory ones; you think they could split the difference by having her be someone who died and decided to join the executioners when she went to heaven since Adam is the leader and that’s a precedent that someone of them at least might be humans

The writers have a really huge problem building platonic relationships without the foundation of a stable friendship. Mr.Pigeon is a perfect example of their logic. Marinette is pouring her heart about the stress in protecting people from akumazation. Alya proceeds to say she's acting insane and needs a break. The latter part is good, but the source of the stress is ignore for "being real with her" & talking her down. Her solution in Adrien is BS. (Also, Alya was guilt-tripping seconds before.)

Even the arguably most “pure” relationship of JuleRose has issues. It’s hard to think of a relationship is the show that is just flat-out healthy without any “well, except...”s attached.

Yeah, Marinette has been told to not be able to say “no” from “Stormy Weather,” with Alya being the one to call her out on that.

Marinette struggles turning Alya down because she’s too nice and Alya is her friend. Alya has so many other friends but she turns to the one who has a bad habit of not being able to turn people down.

I wish there were more anti-Tony fics. Or simply fics where Tony is not portrayed as a benefactor of the avengers. Because he's not. I'm tired of fics always licking his boots.

God, me too. There are a couple good bashing fics on ao3, but personally I prefer longer, more coherent stuff where the focus is more on plot and less on the bashing. Just, some fics were Tony simply isn't right would be nice. There are fics that qualify, but mostly they have him be wrong and then make a ton of excuses, just like the movies to. Typical stan culture. One of the last marvel fics I read, which had stony as a side ship, was partly about Steve being angry at Tony for keeping secrets from him and acting recklessly. So how did the the author resolve this issue? By having Tony keep secrets and making reckless decisions (he secretly changed the Avangers base from the tower to the compound, which was then revealed to be exactly what Steve had wanted all along? The fuck???). Well done, I could have strangled Tony when I read it and was flummoxed when Steve immediately forgave him. Because that's how people see Tony I guess. He makes bad decisions but it's fine as long as they were the right bad decisions smh

Sorry this seems to have turned into a personal rant. Maybe we can start gathering some good anti Tony fics in the reblogs, if anyone wants to share. I haven't read any lately, but I remember Tony Uwu written by UnknownUnseenUnheard and You Could Make a Case for That by Gibbs_yeah very fondly. And now looking through the "Not Tony Stark Friendly” tag on ao3 I see a lot of newer stuff by Cornholio4 that I really need to check out (a Miraculous Ladybug crossover? lol)...

The park was empty save for Marinette, who was sitting on the edge of the fountain. Staring at the beautiful scenery around her. ‘Today’s so beautiful. I should’ve brought my sketchbook.’, she thought as she looked at the flowers in front of her.

“-nette! Marinette!”, Tikki said loudly, Marinette sat up straight out of surprise, “Were you even listening to a word I said?” The annoyance in the tiny goddess’s voice was clear.

Said teen girl gave an apologetic look to the kwami, she received a glare from Tikki. Marinette groaned, “I’m sorry Tikki, but this isn’t the first time I’ve heard this speech. Can you forgive me if I’m a little tired of hearing, “Lila’s a liar, but you have to be the bigger person. Even though she is destroying your social life and leaving terrible reviews on your family’s main source of income!” She threw her hands up in the air and gave a tired sigh. 

“No. You’re right Tikki, I have to suck it up for now. Anything I say against her backfires either on me, or Ladybug.”, She frowned, and clenched her fists. “You’re right.” She looked down at her hands and quickly unclenched her fists. She looked back down to her purse, Tikki placed her paw on Marinette’s hand. “I’m sorry Marinette, but if you get upset then you’re at risk for akumatization. And then t-”

“There would be no one who could purify my akuma, dooming Paris to Hawkmoth’s wish. Whatever it may be.”, Marinette said in a monotone voice, she moved her hand out of Tikki’s reach. “I know Tikki, I have to make sacrifices for the greater good.” She frowned.

“Hey, do you smell smoke?”,she asked Tikki, she looked around and spotted a giant cloud of black smoke. She gasped, “Tikki spots on!”

The bright pink light of the transformation overtook her body, and when it disappeared, she was Ladybug. She threw her yo-yo at a nearby lamppost and when it went taut, she was launched into the air. She landed on a nearby building, equal height to the smoke so that she could see the building that was on fire. She gasped, and fear filled her body.

It was her home.

She landed  on her balcony and rushed to her parent’s room, it was empty. She ran down to the living room, there on the floor was her dad. There were visible burns all over his back, she ran over to him. Her heart rate quickened as she hoisted him over her shoulder, she grunted as she walked over to the kitchen. Where she found her mother sitting at the table, her face on the table. She looked to be in the same state as her dad, burns all over her back and arms. 

Marinette ran over, and lifted her mom’s body out of the sitting position she was in, and threw her over her other shoulder then ran downstairs to the door. She kicked the door open, breaking it and ran outside where the fire department was trying to put out the flames. She threw her yo-yo up in the air and shouted, “Lucky Charm!”

Out of the sky fell a small object that was in her awaiting hands. It was a ladybug spotted wrench, confused she looked around and spotted a lone fire hydrant that wasn’t being used right in front of her house. She called for an EMT to come over, they ran over and helped to gently remove her parents from her shoulders. Once her parents were safe she ran over to the hydrant and used the wrench to remove the outlet cap. 

Out came gallons of high pressurized water aimed straight at the fire. There was a lot of steam, which created a thin fog. It blurred her vision, luckily to not to where she couldn’t see. But, the water wasn’t having any effect? It’s not an akuma, because if it were Tikki would’ve sensed it. She frowned, there was steam but the fire stayed the same, how? This fire wasn’t normal, or was it because she was using miraculous magic during a non miraculous related event? She narrowed her eyes, if that was the case then that would explain why the water had no effect. 

She grabbed the wrench and tossed it into the air, “Miraculous Ladybug!” The magical swarm of ladybugs appeared out of nowhere and surrounded the still gushing fire hydrant. When they disappeared, all that was left was the fire hydrant, just as she had found it. “Of course I can’t save my own home!”, she grit her teeth and clenched her fists. 

She turned her head and watched as her parents were now being looked over by the EMTS. “Ladybug!”, a familiar voice shouted, she turned her head and saw the fire captain running toward her. She got onto her feet, “Fire Captain Hessenpy, any idea on the cause of the fire ?”, she asked.

“No Ladybug. I saw what happened with the fire hydrant. Is this the result of an akuma?”, he asked. She shook her head no. 

“I haven't received an alert on the Ladyblog or heard anything from the news. So I don’t think it’s an akuma, but this fire...it’s not normal.” Hessenpy looked behind her, “Oh no.” Once those words left his mouth, Marinette felt the world stop. It felt like she was moving in slow motion as she whipped her head around to look at what he was looking at. She froze. 

The EMTS were carting away two body bags into an ambulance. 

She watched as the ambulance doors closed, and the vehicle began to drive away. The lights were on, but the siren was silent. She felt the world start again, and she threw her yo-yo at something. She didn’t know where she was going as she flew through the air, but she didn’t care. Where could she go? Her home was destroyed. Her parents...are gone. She was alone.

She landed on the dock by Luka’s house boat. “Spots off.”, she muttered. The pink light of the miraculous washed over her, and Tikki flew out of the earrings. “Mari-” “Not now Tikki.”, was all she said. “Not now.” 

Her eyes began to water as she realized what she just witnessed, her shoulders began to shake and she began to cry. 

Line break 

It had been a day since the fire, and Marinette was staying at her aunt Nadja’s guest room. Apparently, her parents and Nadja had an agreement just in case something like this happened. She was grateful to have a place to stay, but what else was she supposed to feel? 

Marinette threw herself onto the makeshift bed she had been given. She sighed, and curled up into a ball. Ever since she pulled her parents out of the fire, she’s been numb. Yes, she had spent a good day crying when the reality of what had happened set in. And it was during that day that she realized something, if the Fire Department had gotten there earlier, or actually tried to get into the house.  Or if the miraculous cure didn’t only work on Miraculous related damage. Maybe, just maybe her parents would still be here. 

She could hear her phone vibrate, she reluctantly got up and stretched out to grab her phone from the coffee table. She grabbed it, and turned on the screen. 

Alya: Unlock to read message.

She typed in her password, and her phone opened up the messaging app. 

Alya: Hey, I know this is a tough time for you right now. But me and Nino are here for you, please don’t shut us out right now. We might not know exactly what you are going through, but we are your friends. If you're hurting, we’re hurting. We just want to help, if there is anything we can do to lessen the pain, we’ll do it. 

Marinette smiled slightly, as she read the message. She looked around the room she was staying in, this confined space was making worse without her even realizing it. “Marinette?”, Tikki said. Marinette turned to look at her, “What are you going to do?” 

Marinette looked back at her phone, she closed the messaging app. Her homescreen stared at her, it was her family at last year’s Christmas tree lighting. Her parents smiling faces bore into her, “I’m going to school.”, she smiled at the picture. “Maman and Papa wouldn’t want me to be moping around. They’d want me to celebrate their lives and live mine knowing they love me and they’re in a better place now.” 

She stretched her arms out and walked over to the closed curtains keeping the room dark, she threw them apart. Light burst into the room chasing away any darkness and keeping it at bay. She let the sunlight warm her body up and took a deep breath. “Let’s go to school, Tikki!”, she grinned at the kwami who smiled in return.

She shrugged off her pajamas and slipped into some clothes Nadja had bought her. Then opened the door to her room and took a step out the door with one foot.  She took a deep breath and stepped with her other foot. Ok, she was out the door, no turning back now.

She walked downstairs, and from the bottom of the stairs she saw Manon sitting on the couch watching TV, a disney movie from the look of it. She didn’t know if she should say anything or take this as a sign to run back to the room. She twiddled her thumbs nervously, Manon still didn’t notice her so it would be fine if she just walked back up the stairs and hid in her room. 

Right? No one would know. She took a small breath and was about to walk back up the stairs when a voice said, “Marinette?” She stopped and turned her head to look behind her. Her aunt,Nadja ,was standing at the top of the stairs, looking down at her with surprise. That immediately got Manon’s attention, “Marinette!”, came a cheerful cry from the little girl. “You’re awake! Mommy said you were tired and to leave you alone, but you're awake now! That means we can play!” Manon launched herself at Marinette’s leg and clung to it like a vine.  Marinette tensed up, “I-” 

“No, now's not playtime Manon.”,  Nadja said, “Go get ready for school, Marinette and I have to talk.” Manon groaned but stopped when she received a look from her mother, she begrudgingly let go of Marinette’s leg and began her trek up the stairs.  

Once Manon walked out of earshot, Nadja gently grabbed Marinette’s hand. Marinette looked into her aunt’s eyes. She looked like she hadn’t slept, and her eyes were red and puffy. “How are you feeling?”, she asked. Marinette looked down at her feet. 

“I’m...keeping it together.”, she replied. Nadja pulled her in for a hug, and Marinette immediately returned the hug. She rested her head against the older woman’s chest and tried to keep in her tears. The longer the hug went on, the harder it was to not cry. “I-I just thought….If-...I could get some sense of normalcy i-if i went to school and pretended that when the days over I would go home and...and I could pretend this whole thing never happened!”, Marinette sobbed, she clung to Nadja and just cried.

Nadja’s shoulders began shaking, and every other second Marinette could hear take in a small breath. Her arms around Marinette tightened and the teenager realized that her aunt was crying. Together they cried, standing on a flight of stairs.

“Mommy! Marinette! Stop! You can’t be sad!”, Manon cried out as she ran down the stairs to launch herself at them. “If you’re sad then Hawkmoth will get you!” Nadja immediately broke the hug and quickly wiped her tears away. Marinette did the same, rubbing her face.  

She can’t even grieve over her parents death? What kind of world is this? It made her feel a little angry at the thought of it. She can’t even cry or feel angry because some masked lunatic might use her emotions to try and hurt Paris! It- No, no negative emotions! Be positive Marinette! 

“We’re not sad Manon! See! Mommy was just hugging Marinette!”, Nadja smiled at the child and picked her up. “So you’re ready for school Manon?” Manon nodded her head and looked at Marinette, “Are you going to school too, Marinette?”, her eyes full of curiosity and hope.

Chapter 6: Fashion talk

Mari had an amazing day with Jon, she couldn’t have asked for any better! She got back to her hotel room at a later time and after a nice shower she spoke to her friends and then her parents who told her about Caline... But none of them told her about Louis Lane calling them.

Even so Mari was simply sketching at the moment, but she was sketching out clothes for Jon in the end, feeling flustered she decided to take a break and go to her balcony for some fresh air, she had too much going on in her head with all of the miraculous she had right now and the Lila Rossi problem and then there was Hawkmoth and his partner Mayura... She needed to take a breather.

“It’s alright Marinette! I’m sure you’ll figure something out soon enough!” Tikki claimed as she decided to stay in the room while Mari went outside, she sighed as she tried to figure out what she should take care of first... If she did Lila first then the girl will use the anger around her to grab the akuma for herself, but she took care of Hawkmoth first, sure he will reveal Lila worked for him of her own free will but she might lie and say he forced her to work for him.

Either way Lila would escape justice in some way...

So with that in mind... Mari had nothing else to do but call her team to work on the plan, feeling too much was going on, Marinette thought about transforming into Ladybug and trying to find Superman and ask him for help in Paris “You seem to be down... Did something happen?” she looked up to find Superboy there floating by her balcony... Close enough really.

“Just... Thinking about how to defeat a lying bully back at my school” she explained as he pointed to the bars making her nod so he could sit on the edge, they were like this in silence for a moment before he spoke “Tell me about this bully” he said making her nod and talk about everything she knew on Lila Rossi from the moment she arrived to her school, Superboy aka Jon was trying to hide the fact that he knew all of this already... He could let Mari know who he really is right now, for now he had to wait for them to get closer.

“So this Lila girl has been lying about you just because you know she’s lying?” he asked making her nod “Everything that comes from her mouth is a lie... My class never looks into it to make sure it’s the truth or not, Alya is the worse, she claims Lila is her perfect source of info... I’m certain that if Lila ever claimed that a famous person raped her... Alya would post it without even blinking or thinking of the consequences” she explained as Superboy’s eyes widen, the thought of anyone he knew being accused of a rape they never committed would be horrible... That girl has got to go no matter what.

“Superboy! Is everything alright here?” Superman asks as he gently flies to them, Mari couldn’t stop her eye from twitching from just looking at his outfit... At least Superboy looked decent and not like Superman wearing underwear over his suit... She had to do something about that suit before she goes back to Paris “Why must you wear a pair of underwear over your suit!?” she hissed as the two looked at her, Superman looked shocked while Superboy looked to be trying to hold in his laughter.

Out of all the foreign girls Jon could have encountered... He had to meet someone who was against his suit? He sighed as he spoke “No one has complained about it so far” he claimed but she was quick to speak “Why would anyone in Metropolis insult your suit when your saving there lives!?” she snapped back as Clark was shocked at her words... Were people scared of what he might do if they criticized his outfit? He never thought of that before “I mean... It doesn’t mean anything?” he asked back as Mari rolled her eyes before opening her mouth.

And insulted everything about his and Superboy’s suit of choice...

Jon was no longer able to hold in his laughter as he watched his father look ready to dig himself a hole, but in a way... He too had tried to make his father change something about there suits, the color or even the design would have been fine but Clark had refused and kept wearing it... And Jon was getting close to giving up and simply making the change himself “If you don’t work on making a new design... I will” she hissed as Jon watched as his dad nodded... And then flew away to more then likely the Fortress of Solitude.

“I have never seen my dad flee someone like that in my life” he explained... And then he realized his mistake “Your his son?” she asked as he slowly nodded in shame “It must be nice... Having such a powerful dad. I wonder how you both hide the fact your superheroes” she said as he looked at her in surprise “Most of the time if people were to claim there father and son they would ask a bunch of questions... But Marinette wasn’t doing such a thing, instead she was focused on other things.

“You really are something” he said with a smile as she looked at him and smiled in return “I’m going to sketch out what your suits should look like, once i’m done you can come see them with your dad and then work together on making them” she explained making him nod as he then allowed her to get some sleep as he flew back home “Mom! Dad is being a baby because Marinette talked back about our suits!” he claimed as Clark cursed while Louis walked over “What happened Clark. And don’t say nothing!” she demanded as Clark did as told and told her the whole conversation between him and Mari.

Jonathan really liked Marinette.

Meanwhile in Paris...

Lila couldn’t believe it! Maribrat somehow told her mother about her lies and now the woman was demanding answers from her “Did you really go to school like you said!? What did you do all those times you claimed the school was closed!? Did anything you said to me was the truth!? What really happened at school!?” she demanded more and more answers before Lila could even answer anything... She really was screwed if she didn’t turn the tables, with that she began to pull out the crocodile tears “I’m really sorry mom! I never meant for this to happen! But this girl in my class Marinette threatened me to accept the claims of me lying!” she explained as she hoped her mother would fall for her lies once more.

“Oh? You mean Marinette Dupain-Cheng? The girl your teacher Caline Bustier called me to speak about that your bullied and accused of bullying you!?” she yelled as Lila cursed in her head for going so forward into this without even knowing for certain if Mari did tell her mother all of this, even so there was nothing she could do, her mother had succeeded on scheduling for Lila to speak with everyone she lied about to apologize and then planned to for Lila to have her classmates to meet with them at the park so she could reveal the truth “And you better not leave a single lie out young lady! Your teacher told me every lie you spoke to them and I made sure to write them all down!” her mother said as Lila nodded as she texted her class to meet her with her mom at the park.

She hated this, the fact she was caught like this now of all times in her lies... She really wished that it was Marinette who revealed her now, that Caline Bustier was going to regret it now... While her mom left there home to make a quick call at work, Lila dialed the school board and explained it was urgent for her to report about her teacher Caline Bustier “The woman is cruel! My classmate Marinette Dupain-Cheng, is forced to do our teachers job for her! Schedule her class plan, work on our class trips! And if she tries to stop anything miss Bustier will schooled her for not being the better person! What’s worse is that she encourages bad behavior and bullying! And if the victims try to defend themselves she will schooled them!” she explained, the person who received her call wrote everything down and promised that they would investigate and then hung up while Lila grinned.

She might be falling now... But Caline would soon follow her...

In Hawaii...

Adrien looked over the conversation he just had through messages with Mari, he believed also that it was time to do something about there three enemies right now... But the question is... In what order? Either way Lila would try to get away with everything so they would need to be quick about it... So what should they do? Plagg flew over to read the conversation a bit before speaking “You guys are in a tight spot” he said making Adrien sigh, the gang had decided to go to the girls hotel room to relax a bit together while Adrien spoke to Mari, but now they had to talk “I think we need to have a team meeting in Metropolis guys” he said making them all turn to him “Why?” Chloe asked as Adrien tossed her his phone.

“Hawkmoth, Mayura and Lila are obviously working together... But no matter who we fight first... Lila will somehow escape justice she needs to face from her actions in Paris” he explained as Chloe handed the phone to Luka as Kagami read over his shoulder like Sabrina did with Chloe, Sabrina knew that for now she wouldn’t be able to come along, she didn’t have a match yet with a miraculous and for now they would need to leave her behind for the meeting and tell her everything when they get back “Alright, i’ll contact Mari to figure when for her to unify the horse and ladybug miraculous too have you go to Metropolis for the meeting... While also letting her know of our room number” Sabrina explained as they nodded to her words.

Even without a miraculous... Sabrina was a great help.

just curious but what games have you played where the story was good or even great but the gameplay sucked? Don’t know if I played any examples myself

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is a buggy mess, but most of the fandom cannot deny that the story (main game and DLC) is absolutely amazing.

Sonic and the Secret Rings’ story is one of the best presentations of Sonic’s character, but the controls take a lot to get used to, and even then, some of the missions are a pain to complete. At least the party mode makes up for it. That’s also very fun!

Sonic and the Black Knight is in a similar vein: story remains gold standard, but swap the disappointing controls and fun multiplayer around (ie. controls improved while multiplayer took a downgrade).

Opposite Day (Or DuPont's Worst Nightmare) Part 3: Ladybug is that HBIC

Hi everyone!!! So, here's the next chapter of ODDWN! And from what you can tell of the title, yes, this is where Ladybug and Chat Noir defeat the Akuma, or essentially, the last main chapter. I'm gonna be doing an aftermath obviously, but right now we're gonna focus on Ladybug telling Chat Noir off. Cause let's be real, Adrien doesn't know what "no" means, and Marinette is way too nice to actually tell him off. THANKFULLY, she doesn't have a filter, so this kitty's getting skinned.

Walking out of the classroom, Marinette turned to walk down the stairs. "Dupain-Cheng." Marinette stopped in her tracks, and turned around towards Chloe. "What, brat?" Marinette glared. She was hungry, and getting stopped was annoying her.

Chloe huffed at the insult. Turning her head, "I was, gonna say you could hang out with me and Sabrina now that you have a spine, but for that insult I'm reconsidering."

Marinette laughed, clearly mocking the other girl. "No thanks, I don't hang out with entitled brats like you. I mean, seriously? You?" She scoffed, rolling her eyes. Marinette was about to walk away when Chloe growled. "Excuse you?! I am Chloe Bourgeois! I have everything, like you would ever understand!"

"Oh Chloe, we both know you're lying. Even to yourself." Marinette looked over her shoulder, before turning slightly. "What does that mean?" Chloe placed her hands on her hips. "You don't have everything you could ever want, isn't that right?" Marinette smiled in mock sympathy. "Of course I do! I'm the mayor's daughter!" Chloe hesitated, not knowing what Marinette was getting at.

"Yes, you are the mayor's daughter, yes you're rich, but none of those things can give you what you truly want," Marinette shook her head, walking in a slow circle around the blonde. "Your mom left you," Chloe flinched at that remark. Marinette continued, "Your dad isn't there for you," Another flinch, Chloe curled her fists. "You only have one friend, and everyone hates you." Marinette stopped walking, she stood behind her. Grasping her shoulders, Marinette spoke in Chloe's ears. "Poor, poor Chloe. You're alone, and no one truly understands you. But who's fault is that? Who's fault is it that everyone cowers before you?"

Chloe looked to be on the verge of tears, not that Marinette could see. "You want friends, and you want people to care about you, right? No one's ever paid attention to you, and no one cared enough." Marinette sighed, taking on a sympathetic voice. "What are you getting at, Dupain-Cheng?" Chloe whispered, knowing if she spoke louder her voice would crack. "You don't have to be alone, Chloe. You don't have to have people be scared of you. You brought this upon yourself by being a horrible person. But," Marinette let go of Chloe's shoulders. Walking towards the stairs, she turned to look back at the other girl. "Even you can be redeemed. You just have to try."

With that, Marinette left an emotional Chloe at the top of the staircase. "Stupid Dupain-Cheng, what does she know?" Chloe whispered, rubbing at her eyes furiously.

Running into the bathroom, Marinette locked the door to her stall, and opened her purse. "Marinette! Let's hurry! We've waited too long, who knows what the akuma has done!" Tikki cries in a whisper, flying out of the purse. "I know, Tikki, don't lecture me." Marinette grumbles, calling her transformation.

Now on the roof of her school, Marinette listens intently for the sound of an akuma. Lo and behold, a few blocks down came the screams. "Guess he circled around the city." Marinette murmured, swinging onto the building across the street. There, in the street down below stood the akuma Opposite Man. He had a staff he used to zap people, and had what looked like smoke bombs to affect groups of people.

From what she could tell, Marinette deduced that the staff made you do the opposite of what you're trying to do, and the smoke bomb affects your personality. That's why I felt weird today, and the purple smoke in the air. Marinette thought, suddenly realizing.

She analyzed the scene below, trying to find a way to restrain him, and get his akumatized object. She heard a thump from behind her and internally cursed. She didn't need his recklessness this time. Ladybug had a job to do.

"Hello, M'lady! I've missed you, my bugaboo!" Chat Noir purred, leaning on his staff. Ladybug stood up, and slowly turned to face him, while saying sarcastically, "Oh wow, M'lady and Bugaboo? Using both names which you know I hate? You must be here to be a nuisance --as usual" Ladybug crossed her arms, titling her head with a mock surprised face, before dropping it and glaring at him.

"Me-ouch, M'lady! No need to be so harsh! I'm just here to be your savior! After all, it is what good boyfriends do!" Chat Noir exclaimed, reaching to touch her. Marinette didn't know what he wanted to touch, but it frightened her nonetheless. Normally, she would flinch back, and try to put distance, but the akuma’s powers, no, they didn't let her.

Grabbing his wrist before he can touch her, Ladybug sneered. "Don't fucking touch me, you mangy cat!" Chat Noir tried to pull his hand back, but Ladybug wasn't done. "You know what you are, Chat Noir?" A step forward. Ladybug had the hand with the ring on it, not that Chat noticed. No, he was too shocked his lady was talking back to him. Where was this confidence? She never fought back!

No, no, you can't let your victim fight you! Chat had to fix this! His thoughts were broken when Ladybug spoke again. "You're nothing, but a nuisance, a menace, a reckless little brat, and--" Insult after Insult. Each insult equaled a step closer, till she backed him up against the edge of the roof.

"M'lady! Now, don't get so riled up! You're only acting this way cause you got hit! We can defeat the Akuma and go back to normal!--" Chat Noir rambled, desperately trying not to fall off the tall building they were on. It was three stories, and if he fell, his staff couldn't save him, it was knocked away from him, but Ladybug cut him off. "You mean the akuma I'm going to defeat, you're useless, you can't do anything to help me. In fact, I don't need you at all!" Ladybug shouted, her grip on his wrist getting tighter. Harder for him to break out of, she mused in her head.

"Don't lie, Ladybug! We're meant for each other! You're the only one that doesn't see it. Come on! Let go so we can get you back to normal." Chat Noir rolled his eyes, smiling his signature Adrien Sunshine Boy smile. This would convince her, surely-- Ladybug's expression only darkened. "Right, cause when I'm back to normal, I don't fight you. I'm a doormat when I'm normal, gives you more opportunities to harass and get away with the shit you do. And we're not "meant" for each other, you asshat. You're a horrible person, and I hate you!" Ladybug was screaming by now. She grabbed his fingers, ready to slip off the ring. He looked to shocked at her declaration to notice at first.

"Chat Noir, by order of the Guardian of the Miraculous, You are hereby revoked of your miraculous, and you'll face the full consequences of your actions." He looked enraged at her order, and tried to break free. "Catacly--" He tried to shout, but she laughed. "I'll just tie you up and take it after you transform back forcefully. Like I said, you're fucking stupid." Still laughing, she smirked as he did it anyway.

She let go of him, and before he could run away, tied him up with her yoyo. Quickly attaching him to a pole on the roof, Ladybug rolled her eyes. "I told you, you stupid cat."

Sighing, she waited till she heard the beeping start. Leaning against the opposite wall, Ladybug watched with unnatural satisfaction as Chat Noir yelled, screamed, and demanded she put him down. She couldn't do this to him, he'd cry over and over. To the Ladybug of yesterday, his cries would be answered, and she'd let him down. Apologize and turn around, waiting for him to recharge.

To the Ladybug of now, however, it was hilarious. Hearing him yelling and screeching. He was terrified of the consequences, apparently. Then came the final beep, and then came her devilish grin.

The look of terror on his face caused her to laugh. Before he detransformed, Marinette said one last thing. "Bye bye, little kitty. I hope you rot in hell," releasing him as his transformation fell, Ladybug grabbed Chats, no, Adrien's wrist-- she was too happy, and too satisfied to break down from the new hole in her heart-- and yanked the ring off his finger.

Ladybug didn't look back as she took off towards the akuma that had made it's way down a few blocks. No, not even to acknowledge the screaming pleas of Adrien Agreste.

ML Salt Prompt: Seven Sins

ML seven sins, the inspiration for the idea comes from angst-assured and comments on said picture by minnesota-fats and the story: A Rogue Butterfly by Cornholio4

Marinette's cause for akumaiztion it that she's helped everyone achieve their success and people praise her as their everyday ladybug/a paragon of virtue and yet she's tired, depressed, lonely and forgotten, she just empty.

Hawkmoth senses this but infuses too much dark energy into the butterfly allowing it to break free and it goes to Marinette who greets it kindly, takes it, and lets it Akumatize her heart. She becomes the Sins and divides into seven parts with each one representing one of the seven sins. Chat Noir outnumbered manages to get to the other Miraculous and with their help find their wielders.

for the akuma forms/weapons Lust= armed with a whip, Gluttony=sumo like form, Greed=shape shifting vacuum, Sloth=a broken instrument, Wrath=body armor coved in spikes with mailed spike fists, Envy=sniper rifle, Pride a gun sword

Lust= Adrien/Chat, Gluttony=Nino, Greed=Alix, Sloth=Luka, Wrath=Kagami, Envy=Ayla, Pride=Chloe The reasons for each sin is to match their relationship with Marinette/Ladybug, Lust= Adrien/Chat: Always trying to pursue Ladybug despite her feelings, Gluttony=Nino: I don't have a good idea for this one, for the next three it's seeing things that are opposite to what they know and love about Marinette Greed=Alix facing off against Akuma Marinette who wants everything for herself, Sloth=Luka facing off against Akuma Marinette who just doesn't care about anything (not much of a physical fight for this one), Wrath=Kagami facing off against Akuma Marinette whose not vary kind, Envy=Ayla since she believes Marinette is jealous of Lila, Pride=Chloe because pride is what shapes her relationship with Marinette

The idea for when after all sin pieces are defeated is that all pieces merge back together revealing Marinette back to normal and they all got to glad to see their friend back to normal, however when they have their guard down they're blasted and the illusion is dropped revealing Lady Sin, Marinette's true Akuma form (the boss level)

lady sin refers to herself in the plural, as she sees herself as both Marinette & the akuma, to mess with the heroes pretends to be under hawkmoths control when she isn't.

there are ideas for several endings, as the final fight drags on as the heroes try to figure out where the akuma is to only realize in horror that Marinette had taken the akuma and let it Akumatized her heart.

with there being three endings depending on how much angst one wants, in the good ending, everyone shows akuma Marinette how much she means to them, leading to them deakumatize her, the Neutral ending this fails Chat/Adrien manages to get the Ladybug earrings combing their power and using the power like how Aang took away the fire lords fire bending. Bad Ending Chat isn't able to get the Ladybug Earrings leading to them realizing to cure the akuma her heart would have to be broken like all other akuma objects. Forcing Chat/Adrien to kill one of his first friends to save everyone else leading to Marinette having a Dying as Yourself moment, even thou they're able to use a miraculous cure to bring her back there would be massive trauma for them.

an epilogue would show Marinette leaving to go on a soul searching journey, maybe traveling the world with her grandma or going on tour with Jagged.
