ultimately, some voice actors in xiv were cast in multiple roles partially to fill in the gaps, partially bc they were just a good fit and could do multiple voices, etc etc. and the eng dub casting doesn't always match the jp one (eg. oschon shares a va with ardbert in eng but with haurchefant in jp). so i may be tinfoiling here, but i do feel like some of these choices -- at least in the endwalker patches -- were made kind of. intentionally. ? rhalgr the destroyer sharing a va with estinien doesn't feel like a coincidence in the same way oschon-ardbert doesn't feel like a coincidence. giving rubicante a backstory involving sacrificing a deeply important person for a little girl and then giving him thancred's va is crazy right. in any case, it draws attention to character aspects i wouldnt have really thought of before

A'ight, a'ight. I got one. I do remember when the first Venom movie came out that's how I found you. Vernon and Erie (eerie?). And tbh I am a bit surprised I haven't seen a surge of them when Venom Let There Be Carnage came out. But now my brain wants to know:

If ya had to like do art of them again or redesign the two, how would that look?

Ngl I do still have Vernon and Eerie, I knew it would eventually come up again once I opened my questions but yet like I haven't really worked on them because firstly I ended up burning myself out a lot and kinda reached the "end" of their stories personally for me. They are fun characters and I attempted to redesign them and reinterpret their stories (now the symbiotes are demons and Vernon is just a guy who got in contact with demons) but it kinda fell flat. It still exists just again, not much interest in personally pursuing it :/ Secondly, I didn't really like Venom: Let There be Carnage... I just didn't have fun with it compared to the first movie, I feel like it a weird way it fell into the tropes current Marvel has fallen into where its trying too hard to rush action happening and setting up unnecessarily drama and jokes. It could just be down to its kinda something I've grown pass now but yeah, didn't really feel it like the did the first. I already had issue with the first movie that I could overlook since it was an fun experience but second movie wasn't that. But if you want some redesigns here's some old art I did of them and maybe I'll upload a comic I did introducing there new interpretations Their new story is under the temp name of Pandaemonium:

General Premise: Eerie is just a low level demon that knows something in hell is brewing. While watching some of the demons begin to stir, he notices DRAKE making a deal with a random human to grant himself passage out of hell... but why? What is he planning? In order to follow Drake, Eerie also goes to a human to make a deal and return to the land of the living. Little did he know however this guy is fucking an insane, wild soul who has a vendetta against the other guy Drake is with and wants nothing to do with him. Now Eerie has to convince this guy to work with him so he can figure out what's going on or hell may just break loose literally...
