Sorry, real life caught up with me for a moment there, anyway If you don’t know what this is it’s a personal cast of forgotten Disney characters I put in wasteland and we’re going through wonderland right now.

This is Ella, who is a special case because she is not from the original wonderland movie drafts nor is she even from the franchise. Ella the elephant is from the scrapped movie called Wild Life (developed in the late 90s, shelved in 2000) The movie followed Ella as diva-pop sensation named kitty, and a club owner named red try to get her to became a singer.

The art from the movie development I used was drawn by Darryl Kidder, Floyd Norman, and Hans Bacher

Okay the plots a lot more convoluted than that, Ella gets accidentally electrocuted into thinking she’s a pop star and kitty has a scene where she thinks Red is trying to seduce Ella. The movie was known for its mature edge and odd look. Which leads to the first reason I added her to the wonderland cast. Many believe the movie was shelved for being too weird/“out there” and was consider an unsafe investment for the fear of it trying to appeal to a smaller audience than most Disney movies at the time.

That’s the perfect fuel for a wonderland character in my opinion. I really want to go into why some be if the characters where forgotten and Ella’s actual history has a lot of affect on how I write her. In the original movie, she left stardom, much more comfortable with her life at the zoo. But after being forgotten I imagine she misses the ye old razzle dazzle the night life setting her movie had since all of her previous friends are gone. She finds comfort in wonderland and it’s quirky cast of characters that remind her of home. She’s also seen as a voice of reason in the small village, since she’s one of the few who isn’t that wonderland type of mad.

Another reason I made the caterpillar this random elephant from a scrapped 2000 movie is because I wanted to show how some characters have changed for the better or worse over the time. It was also just a lot more interesting than trying to find a caterpillar and sticking him in there. Perhaps the adventures in wonderland caterpillar would like to read a story to Mickey and Oswald who knows-

Outside of wonderland she also gets along with other characters, such as someoneihaventmentionedyetbutperhapsilltalkabouthimsoonireallywantto-

Ummmm she showed up in Meet the Robinsons along with a few other characters (actually it may only be one I can only identify one)

She wouldn’t say this to anyone because somehow it would start a war,but the wonderland residents she gets along with the best are Mock Turtle and Griffon.

And here’s a picture of her and Chopsuey/621, who was one of the first characters I added but I have no where to put him (he’s one of my favorites though, stitch’s edgy brother with daddy issues, I have so much art of him. Chopsuey enjoying a field of flowers in 4k)

I've written some 900 words (give or take) & I have...maybe 1/4 or a little over 1/4 of my chapter checklist done. I'm also over 10k words into the actual draft.

I have an Alicent scene (with baby Aemond), some stuff with Lyonel, Ella reuniting with her brothers, & then getting the Manderlys introduced to still do. This chapter is gonna be hefty as fuck, because the 1/4(ish) I have left to write is pretty content dense. It's the most sensical sequence if events for the chapter though, so whatever I guess 🤷🏻‍♀️

How long this chapter is, is a problem for future Misa when I start editing/cleaning up (& at least it won't be as long as the last Ella POV). For now I'm done because my brain has shut off

FOR U ELLA……. THE WORLD

I think goth Kyle would be very much about the aesthetic of it all. he’s honestly got more of a steampunk-minus-gears look going on, in a toned down color palette. the actual goths aren’t sure about him, especially because he hates cigarettes (he tries every time to smoke a little bit but swears them off two drags in). but he drinks a ton of coffee so he’s fine. he also REALLY loves the moody poetry… doesn’t always make it himself but he likes hearing and analyzing it. sometimes gets kind of armchair psychiatrist about it.

the goth thing is very much a phase for him but he’s stubborn and wants people to think he’s really like this now. he’s trying to figure out how he can really convince people he’s committed when he sees a moody French dude roll up to the local coffeehouse on a motorcycle and he’s like “THAT’S IT”. Christophe’s got that perfect “don’t fuck with me” permanent scowl and love for cigarettes that convince people Kyle really likes this goth lifestyle now, I guess.

Christophe sees right through Kyle but Kyle is also one of the only interesting people who’s approached him in a long time so he goes along with it. since they both go into it knowing it won’t last, they really let themselves just fall into it. Kyle needs that moment of safe rebellion and Christophe needs that genuine human connection. very serious, very passionate, very brief.

also— the intimacy of lighting someone’s cigarette with your own has me kinda 👀

this one isn't that difficult to understand. you're extremely secretive, and you're afraid that if you open up you'll get hurt (again?). you probably raise suspicion against others and accuse them of something they never did. you let your anxiety and worry influence the way you view people which is never good.

MANIPULATIVE

you're probably a passive aggressive person. you frequently lie, and gaslight to get your way. you never want to be held responsible for your actions so you avoid situations by either victimizing yourself, belittling others concerns, hiding the truth, and using threats to harm yourself or others

VIOLENT

when something makes you upset, it could even be the tiniest most petty reason ever, you yell, rage, and possibly throw stuff in anger. your actions think quicker than your mind, and it could probably not even be intentional but the next thing you'll realize is that you've hurt someone

LACK OF TRUST
