It takes Adamar a moment to understand what just happened to him, it had all happened so fast. The pain of a foot on his chest was helpful at focusing his thoughts however.

His gaze moves up the leg, pausing at the giant tits, before locking with the blue eyes of a minotaur. "I'm just a harmless traveler, looking for a place to stay for a bit." He lies through his teeth about his intentions. Even if he does like the sound of what a 'lucky day' would mean for him.

Closed Starter: Serving under a Pirate Queen @a-den-of-demons

He's helping to haul in a section of rigging that he makes him think about how much his life was changed. Some of those changes had taken some getting used to for Adamar, but if he's honest the life of Pirate was pretty similar to his old one. With a few key differences. He was on a ship, he had other people relying on him and that he could rely on, and he had to follow his captain's commands. After he's securely tied down the line he wipes the sweat from his brow and looks towards the helmsman. Or helmswoman in this case.

Cause at the helm was Captain Isabela, quite arguably the most impressive fighter he's ever seen. He likes to think he can hold his own with his rapier and daggers, but she was something else. That skill and her own reputation is what first made him want to join her crew. Rolling his shoulders, he turns away and back towards his work. Even still he couldn't help but feel he was being watched.

Weird Idea, that I'm gonna make y'all deal with now, about Alternate Universes

I've been thinking about my OC Adamar and the universe that he exists in. He started life as a DnD character and that's where he's generally lived ever since, but recently I've been thinking what if he was somewhere else?

Now I doubt I’m the first to want to shove a character into a different verse, but for a while now I’m gonna be sharing some of the verses Adamar will be in and the lives he’ll lead. Feel free to suggest verses and ask in character questions.

JOY.     easy smiles,    fighting back grins,    suppressed laughter,    loud laughter,    giggles,    chuckling,    smirks,    whole body laughs,    covers mouth when laughing / giggling,    throws head back when laughing,    slaps leg,    touches people around them when laughing,    looks down when laughing,    looks for eye contact when laughing,    sparkling eyes,    bubbly happiness,    quiet subtle happiness,    obnoxious happiness,    wants to spread joy,    quietly savors joy.

SADNESS.     crying,   bottling it up,   seeks distractions,    wallows,    meditates,    trains and processes,    avoidance,    seeks out comfort,    withdraws,    talks it out, internalizes it,    sad smiles,    depression naps,    uses alcohol,    uses drugs,    seeks out sources of joy,    fidgets with sentimental item,    sits in silence,    broods,    gets moody,    wants someone to share the misery,    tries to hide negative emotions,    nurtures others to make themselves feel better.

EMBARRASSMENT  /  SHAME.     blushing,    looking away,   rubbing at back of head,    covering face,    laughing nervously,    laughs it off,    overthinks,    lets it go,    self-deprecating humor,    deflects,   gets irritated,    smiles,    withdraws,    crossing arms over stomach,   crossing arms over chest,    hands in pockets,    shoulders sinking,    shrugs,    falling into silence until comfortable again,    talking a lot to compensate.

GUILT.     avoiding eye contact,    shoulders sinking low,    head hanging down,    crying,    chest aches,    lashes out, internalizes,    apologizes,    deflects,    communicates,   withdraws,    grand gestures for forgiveness,    accepts fault easily,   punishes themselves,    martyrdom,    victim complex,    guilt complex,    healthy conscience,    internalizes even after forgiveness,    seeking redemption,  moves on easily,    denial,    lack of guilt / conscience,    sorry they got caught more than caused harm,    can’t handle knowing they hurt others.

Staring off into Space (Bored or Tired)

He’d been having this same staring contest with the wood knot on the opposite bookshelf for ten minutes. If this was the first time tonight he’d caught himself staring it’d be fine, but this is at least the fifth. “Focus, Kelra.” He whispers to himself as he gives his head a quick shake and indeed focuses back on the dusty tome before him. You’d think that a dictionary of curses cast my non-mages would be interesting, but the author had found a way to turn the topic as dry as ash. It's not long until he's staring again and wondering if he can get away with just skimming the topic.
