Leaving the Village with Madara Headcanons

Madaraarnings: No Reader Pronouns, Angst, Name-Calling, Mild Description of Injuries

𓆃 Not as romantic as you think it'll be, and you probably should have known it from the start.

𓆃 Madara had, after all, pinned you down the moment he suspected you knew anything. And odds are, you knew what his reaction would be when you confronted him.

𓆃 "You are leaving," were the three words you spoke, laced with a certain certainty without accusation, and Madara pounced on you right then.

𓆃 And it almost doesn't matter if you swear up and down to keep his secret or demand answers or plead with him if you intend to follow him until the end.

𓆃 And Madara will never know if the only reason you went along with him was because you knew he wouldn't hesitate to silence you right then and there if you were even thinking about stopping him.

𓆃 Whether Madara tells you his reasoning or not, you went along with him against your better judgment. Perhaps because you agreed with his philosophy about the village, or maybe because you just didn't want to lose him.

𓆃 Madara wasn't thinking about you nearly as conscientiously as he allowed you along, barely paying you mind as he made his reckless decisions.

𓆃 He involved you in very little, and most of it was due to the fact that Madara himself didn't know much of what his next moves were.

𓆃 You didn't realize he had devolved to such a state, only focused on his haphazard goals with little regard for others. And perhaps you thought that when things settled down, the two of you would go back to normal.

𓆃 Any help he allowed from you was minimal, the tasks he gave you just the accented dots to his grander plots. A bit of stealing. A bit of staying. A bit of waiting.

𓆃 You had a history, and you thought your relationship was closer. Perhaps you thought you could bring him back. Perhaps you thought you could reason with him or even bring his new dreams to fruition together. And yet, in the days leading up to his attack on the village, Madara didn't seem to even trust you with his goals.

𓆃 He was a raving, paranoid shell of the person you so desperately tried to cling to, and after yet another defeat at the hands of Hashirama, Madara appeared to have disintegrated altogether.

𓆃 He became a shell of a person, barely speaking to you most days as you tended to him. He had sustained heavy wounds during the fight.

You wrapped them with bandages you had stolen off a cart of goods down the road. The little knowledge you might have had about battlefield wound treatment dwarfed in comparison to the extent of Madara's injuries.

And now, he sat quietly. You both did. The hollowness of the cave tried to make up for the lack of words between you as Madara lay on a bed of leaves and soft mosses you had gathered.

There was nowhere to go. Your main haven would have been the village, the very one you had just burned bridges with. You had underestimated how deeply connected the Land of Fire was and how formidable the forces of the allied clans were.

You weren't sure how you expected it to go, but as you looked at Madara's glazed eyes, you knew it wasn't this.

You and Madara against the world.

You supposed that was what ran through your mind when you had asked him, "What are we going to do next?"

It was a panicked question, one that had taken in your circumstances and stacked them against your odds. You tried to soothe yourself with imaginings of the two of you foraging off the land, traveling across the world without anything holding you back.

That might work.

Might.

Might.

But Madara lay on the ground, not answering your question.

"Madara?" you called softly. His eyes almost glanced your way. "What are we going to do?"

It had been a long time already, about a week of you stealing from carts, treating his wounds the best you could, and smuggling the two of you to shelter as shinobi across the land sought you out.

It had been a long, sobering week. That certainly couldn't have been what Madara had had in mind. He was smart. He had a plan.

But when he answered, you found yourself at a loss.

"You leave..." His voice was low, resentful.

"What?" you crinkled your brow. You weren't sure why tears began to gather in your eyes. He had to have had a plan.

"You leave," Madara repeated, this time more forcefully. He began to sit up, but when you moved to rush to his side, Madara flared his Mangekyo sharingan before falling back on his propped arms. You didn't dare move closer, even as he let out a pained wail of anguish. "You leave! You get out!"

Madara fell onto his back as he let out another cry, like a wounded animal. He contorted his broken body, ripping bandages and injuries alike as he clawed himself up. His sharingan cycled through several patterns as it blipped in and out of his irises.

"Are you too stupid to see that I have lost once more to Hashirama Senju? And you ask me what is next? This is what is next! This is what I have to offer: a life of damnation and banishment!"

Chakra cracked around you, the weak and uncontrolled energy still enough to break surrounding boulders and create a slight tremor in the ground below.

Madara wailed, and you stayed. Quiet.

Obito:

- He'd wear the ghost face mask.... I feel like we already knew this information. Like, he'd be on goth tiktok and already KNOW that the goth girls fall hard for a man in a mask and would just happen to have the mask from a past Halloween costume and just make note to NEVER throw it out lol

- Although he can be freaky with the mask, he will also be unbearably sweet. The second he learns about boyfriends making "boo baskets" for their spooky partners, he gets to cooking on it.

- I actually think Obi would have a lot of fun finally getting to do all the typical spooky couple shit. Because although I see Obi for sure simping for the goth babes, for some reason he doesn't approach. But with the mix of being a sweetie at heart and the deep trauma he has, he could for sure keep up with his love's date ideas.

- But I think his favorite would be going to scare nights and going through mazes with his partner. Like, ofc he lives staying home and cuddling while watching horror films, but there's something he likes about getting to play the protective bf type during all the scares

- his other favorite thing is having to clean off all the black lipstick stains after a night out. He would beg (and probably has) to get some, especially after you saying you don't want it to "bother him"

Shisui:

- He's gonna regularly send the text that all goths want to hear from their partners: "Hey babe, do you want to get dressed up and get coffee and go Halloween shopping?"

- If you tell him that you had a horrible day at work, he will make sure his queen of darkness is well pampered. A dark themed bath will be drawn, with the favorite Halloween seasonal candle lit. And he will end the night by putting on Coraline for the two of you to relax to. Idk he's just a knowledgeable simp like that.

- As I'm writing Shisui, I feel like I'm making him seem really ran through. And I guess KINDAAA, like I think Shisui would REALLY like the goths. But it's never out of objectification, he just loves how much they embrace the darkness, and look so hot while doing it. But he's an Uchiha, and they're serious about love, so I think "ran through" would like, he's genuinely dated two goths and just had so much love for them that he learned a lot.

- Also I could see Shisui as the kind of guy who is alt at heart, but doesn't look it. He probably never really TRIED to be alt, like outwardly that is, not because he doesn't like it but rather is just happy to listen to the music and know the people. And when you first met him, you thought he was some regular guy and wouldn't know anything about the subcultures. Until he drove you to your guy's first date, and his music taste completely said otherwise

Itachi:

- Idk why but something in me sees him as being intuitively intelligent with any DIY or gothy clothing alterations. Like, he is savvy enough to know the cheapest places to get things, how to make shit happen on a budget. That intelligence could get him places in alternative crafts, but I also see him as someone not driven to be creative. He's just smart, so he can at least offer a helping hand with any craft his goth partner wants to do

- he also likes to genuinely visit historic and haunted locations. Tbh, I don't think Itachi would believe in ghosts. But he's not patronizing to his partner if they do, and will happily tag along to visit haunted places. Mainly because I just see him as a history buff.

- gives you regal hand kisses, but at the randomest of times. Like yeah, maybe some here and there when he greets you or says goodbye, which was more so the case before your relationship got more serious. But now it's tradition, so he's just a little playful with it. A soft kiss on the hand before your "goodnight kiss," periodically when watching horror movies. His playfulness is still so poised lol. He's a vampire that's why lol.

- maybe he'll even nibble on your goth ass neck like he's a vampire BUT IDK YOU DIDN'T HEAR IT FROM MEEEE (😈)

I think my first Uchiha x goths is probably my most popular post, so I wanted to make more of it. Although this has been sitting in my notes for like a month, oops. But yall loving my first one gave me the motivation to finish this one, for all my fellow goth Uchiha lovers out there!

A little Spoiler of something I’m working on:

Title: Will of Fire

Summary: Madara knows his sins and his faults. He knows, no matter what Hashirama thinks, there is no positive afterlife waiting for him. Maybe that’s why he’s returned to the past after bleeding out on that battlefield.

Still, there is nothing to do but get up and try again.

For Izuna.

For Hashirama.

For Obito and all those, he’s wronged.

He will take this chance and try again.

Madara wakes up to Izuna beside him.

He shouldn’t have. He should have died, should have walked forward into the pure lands all Shinobi knew awaited them: an eternal feast of friends and foes alike finally setting down their swords and kunai to eat and drink and laugh.

Hashirama had promised me a drink, Madara thinks mournfully as he takes in the rising sun creeping its way into the room, growing in strength. Hashirama promised him peace.

He lets himself mourn his death during the time it takes the late winter sun to drench the room in light. Fifteen whole minutes to regret and contemplate to consider what-ifs and almost. Fifteen minutes before Izuna wakes next to him, eyes narrowing at the sunlight and with such an amusing scrunched face that Madara cannot help but be reminded of the ornery cat he’d kept secretly within the cave.

(Obito had brought the cat because for all Madara and Zetsu had tried to break him, he’d still clung stubbornly to a love of life.

And god Obito… Madara has many regrets. More than any man should bear. Too many sins to atone for. But for Obito…. He will need more than fifteen minutes to mourn Obito.

He will need a lifetime.)

And then Izuna wakes up.

“Aniki ,” Izuna yawns, morning breath stinking up the space between them. With drool running down his chin and crust in his eyes, he looks a far cry from the Uchiha Beauty he is renowned for. “Why are you awake?”

Madara had lost count of the years between Izuna’s death and his own. Time makes things hazy, alters memories… alters reality. It isn’t until that moment that Madara realizes he’d forgotten the sound of Izuna’s voice. In his memories it is scratchy, broken by pain and suffering as he lay on his death bed while healers and medic-nin alike did their best to give him another day, hour, minute. Until there had been nothing left to save but a pair of eyes.

In his nightmares, Izuna’s voice is rough and booming, full of hatred, as he calls Madara for what he is: a failure, a betrayer, a liar, and--in his worst dreams--a murderer.

In reality, Izuna’s voice is soft and sweet, content to wake up next to his older brother and pitched at a low volume to avoid waking the household. Clinging to childhood, there is an almost squeaky quality to it. (As young as Obito had been)

A long-forgotten protective instinct flowers within Madara’s chest.

Madar looks away, tears burning in the corner of his eyes. But he cannot cry. The dead cannot do anything with his tears. He has no right to self-pity. Zetsu had led him to his grave but Madara had been eager to climb in and lie down.

He cannot be forgiven for his sins. There is no peaceful afterlife waiting for him. No drink. No Hashirama. He does not deserve it.

This is my penance, Madara thinks as he watches Izuna wipe the sleep from his eyes with the back of his hand, already scarred from a lifetime of struggle. I must make things right.

Madara stands up.

For Obito, for Hashirama, for the Uchiha he’d sworn himself to and then killed, for the village and Naruto and Itachi (and that strange, powerful boy who’d reminded him of himself and Izuna and all the best and worst of the Uchiha).

It’s time to get to work.

He will cry when it is all done.

missing-nin kakashi who leaves the village on his own accord. he’s pushed to the edge, and despite all the anbu missions he’s taken to get himself killed, it just doesn’t work. so he leaves and becomes a mercenary and thinks he might have some luck dying that way. he thinks part of him is still loyal to konoha but it doesn’t feel like home anymore. plus the constant needling of his ex-classmates insisting their his friends when he knows he doesn’t deserve friends, he barely deserves comrades.

so he leaves. and he does the jobs he takes well and yes, he’s still hoping he dies but he’s too good at being a shinobi so he keeps living. no matter how accidental.

he has a good fortune by the start of canon time but id like to believe he lives in a cave with a ratty futon and a few shabby changes of clothes. he lives an extremely solitary life but he’s…healed. a little. he’s never forgiven himself, he probably never will, but he’s made some sort of peace with himself and his actions.

meanwhile. the akatsuki is forming. itachi, kisame, sasori, kakazu, pain, konan, zetsu, obito (still in the shadows). almost the whole crew is there, they just need to round out their numbers a little. and who better to approach than missing-nin copy ninja kakashi? pain brings it up first one rainy day in ame. obito, or madara, is meeting with pain, konan, and zetsu and pain brings up kakashi first.

obito chokes out a no, barely hanging onto his madara act. no, he denies vehemently. the mean thought enrages something in him and the thought of having to see kakashi’s beautiful ugly mug more than he already does (because yes, he may be a missing-nin but obito wouldn’t be a stalker if he couldn’t find his prey over and over again) is brain melting and heart stopping in a very very negative way.

of course pain has to ask why, madara has never had such a visceral reaction to suggestion for a recruit.

his pants around his ankles, obito has to scramble for an excuse and it’s a little more elegant than “he’s not evil enough”. obito shuts the conversation down then and there, deciding to come back to it at a later date when he can be prepared for his ex-teammate’s name to be brought up again.

for the next three years, any time they’re low on numbers, kakashi’s name comes up and obito always struggles to react normally and his answer is always some iteration of “he’s not evil enough”. so hidan comes up with the brilliant idea to force him to be evil, similar to how they forced deidara to join the akatsuki.

obito, failing to come up with counter arguments and running out of excuses, concedes. pain, during their monthly meetings where tobi is madara, is pleased. he suggests sending itachi to fetch him, since they were once anbu together and seeing a familiar face may help. obito vetoes this and decides he’ll go get kakashi himself. he’s, of course, seen how being away from the village has affected him. and while he’s entirely competent, he’s almost too competent. and doesn’t do well with surprises.

without further preamble, he kamuis into kakashi’s cave, startling him and causing him to spill his soup everywhere. now, kakashi is very much attack first, talk second at this point in his life. having been away from society for so long has allowed his hatake genes to really take over and he’s become much more uhhh instinct driven.

so once he gets over his initial shock and his initial reaction of ‘kill kill kill’, he freezes. he’s always had a sharp sense of smell but it’s on a different level now and there’s something familiar about this strange ghost man. for someone so ghoulish, he has a scent and it lights a lamp in kakashi’s subconscious.

‘i know you’ kakashi accuses, a snarl rising in his throat. this ghoul man is in his cave, his private space, he wants answers.

‘do you?’ a deep voice asks, sounding surprised and amused.

kakashi weighs his options of arguing with ghost guy or figuring out why the hell ghost guy just…appeared in his cave.

‘i’m here to take you to join the akatsuki’ ghoul man decides for him. kakashi grunts and picks up his overturn bowl.

‘no thanks’ he states, scooping some soup from the pot into his bowl.

‘it’s not an invitation’ the apparition snaps and kakashi pauses. he sniffs towards ghost guy again but he still can’t place the scent to the man.

‘can you please leave? i’m trying to eat my dinner and well…’ kakashi asks (but of course it’s more of demand), pointedly gesturing to his mask.

‘what? no. you’re coming with me,” obito growls, his eye twitching in irritation. after all these years, all his suffering, all he’s learned and how much he’s grown…bakakashi still gets under his fucking skin.

‘i don’t want to’ kakashi pouts, petulance and amusement in his tone.

‘you don’t get a choice’ obito hisses in madara’s voice. it sounds wrong and entirely too much like obito.

‘maa, what do i get out of it?’ hatake drawls, a glint in his eye that tells obito hes enjoying this far too much.

‘nothing. you get nothing except me letting you continue to live your sorry life’ obito snaps back, unable to stop the heat of annoyance racing up his spine.

‘how do you know my life is sorry?’ kakashi taunts loftily, crossing his arms and lifting his nose to the ceiling.

‘for the love of sage’ obito takes kakashi by the arm and warps them into kamui, uncaring if kakashi recognizes the jutsu or not. he just wants him to shut up. he should kill pain for making him do this. he would kill hidan but that fucker can’t fucking die.

‘hey i recognize that foot’ kakashi mutters to himself, eye squinted at the severed foot he warped into the dimension months ago. huh. that’s where the things he disappears go. interesting.

hey wait—

‘i know that look’ obito bites out, letting his facade drop. stupid fucking genius asshole.

kakashi gasps, eyes watering in disbelief. ‘don’t—don’t fucking do that. get it together already. you’re about to meet a bunch of fuckin’ s-ranked missing-nins, you can’t be crying’

obito’s voice is a little awkward this soft, but he’s sincere. he doesn’t know how or why he’s sincere, he hates kakashi. he thinks. he’s not too sure but he hasn’t been…soft…in years. but the sight of kakashi, broken and worn down, has something in him melting just a little.

‘you fucking dickhead’ kakashi croaks, shoving obito’s shoulder. ‘you fucking— fucking asshole! you were dead! you bastard, how could you not come back? how could you not tell me?’

kakashi’s voice is hard and cracking at the edges. it throws obito off entirely. his mouth opens and closes like a limp fish behind tobi’s mask, trying to find the words he should say.

after a few moments of kakashi’s hardened stare, obito finds himself feeling indignant. ‘i never thought you’d care’ he sneers. a lie.

‘you’re not that fucking good at lying still and i’m not dense. you’ve been stalking me. at least since i left the village’ kakashi accuses with a scoff.

‘i run a terrorist organization!’ obito shoots back hotly. ‘excuse me for thinking duty-driven kakashi wouldn’t take his dead sunshine-happy teammate becoming an s-rank criminal well!’ he seethes, finding he isn’t all that angry. this feels familiar.

‘oh please. i’d follow you till the end of the fucking earth’ kakashi spits before his eyes widen in shock, much like obito’s eye does. kakashi drops his full bowl of soup on the floor of kamui and covers his mouth with both hands.

obito makes a noise in the back of his throat, ‘don’t—‘ and then he’s ripping his mask off and pulling kakashi’s hands away from his face and tugging him close. lips to mask, he doesn’t care, he kisses kakashi fervently.

he tastes kakashi through the clothe of his mask, moaning at the way kakashi moans against him, the way kakashi’s fingers find themselves in obito’s hair. when they finally pull away, obito manages a please smile, cheeks bright red and pupil blown, ‘don’t follow me. walk with me.’

kakashi rolls his eyes and pulls him in for another kiss. ‘told you i knew you’ he whispers against obito’s lips, before nuzzling his face into obito’s neck, scenting him, marking him.

AHEM ANYWAY:

i think kakashi’s hair would be grown out, similar to how obito’s hair was during cave life with old ass madara. his already long canines would grow, and he’d be super in touch with nature. i think he’d be able to communicate with animals similar to how juugo is. basically, once away from the village and society, he becomes a lot more hatake-ish. just. kakashi growling and snarling snurfing at any akatsuki member that isn’t obito. or itachi. he’ll accept kisame eventually too, but that’s it. everyone else he does not talk to, only growls at.

Obito, sweating and panting: Y-yeah … hey old man, does Guru-Guru have to stand on my back the whole time? It’s really starting to hurt …

Madara: No complaints, child. Be grateful that I’m taking the time to help restore your body. Now come … *gestures to the table* After our meal, we have a bit of a treat.

Obito, eyes wide: Is … is that a cake??

Guru-Guru: It’s chocolate! Isn’t it pretty?! We made it!

Obito: But what’s it for?

Madara: Today is a special day, child. On this day a person was born, so strong, so valiant, so pure of heart, that it would be a sin not to commemorate this precious day.

Obito, sitting and smiling: Awww, gramps! I can’t believe that you remember that today is my birth—

Madara: That’s right; today is my dear brother Izuna’s birthday. The most important day of the entire year. *cuts himself a huge slice of cake, then a much smaller piece for Obito, which he pushes across the table* So let’s honor him, shall we?

Obito:

Obito: Izuna Uchiha. Your brother that died almost fifty years ago. That’s whose day we’re celebrating?!

Madara: Of course. What else could there be?

Obito:

Obito: *pushes back from the table* I think I’m just going to go for a run instead. *leaves*

Madara: Honestly, that boy … he gets so sensitive sometimes. I can hardly figure him out.

Izuna’s ghost, sitting at Obito’s place and taking up his slice of cake: Kids, huh?

Guru-Guru: Completely incomprehensible.

Strong Enough (Believe) Honestly the whole Believe album lbr.

Not sure if I should admit this so I'm 'hiding' it... but my Madara-Cher agenda is also a minor detail in a dumb 'Alternate Universe' I've been brewing in my head - I haven't been here long, but I've definitely been inspired by all the other ideas people on here come up with for their alternative stories lol.

Brief Synopsis:

I'm thinking it takes place in the late 70s/early 80s. Basically, Izuna drops out of high school because he accidentally knocked up his girlfriend and is now trying to figure out how to raise his daughter (Mikoto) at 17. The birth mom's family doesn't want anything to do with this so he's on his own and lost. He goes to his eldest brother's apartment for help because he's not quite ready to admit to their father/other brothers that he fucked up this bad and I kind of picture the two of them having a special bond as oldest/youngest.

From then on, Izuna raises little Mikoto with the help of his gay (on the dl) older brother which gives a lot of room to explore some interesting dynamics/historical perspectives. Personality-wise for this, I kind of picture that Izuna fancies himself a progressive activist for his time (but cannot hold down a job to save his life/the struggle is real) while Madara is barely afloat himself, trying to make do in a shitty apartment and figure out his own life while also (now) taking care of his brother and niece. The major overarching theme would be that the Uchiha are a family that have their issues, but at the end of the day they are always there for one another no matter what (which is how I've always read them in canon).

Idk, it combines many of my interests/favorite themes with some of my favorite characters lol... and, most importantly, I can make Madara a Cher fan LOL. Never worked on something like that before, but it's a nice distraction to consider, especially during these trying times.

Uchiha clan is much more affectionate than others. So the difference in Uchiha's love lies in the way they express their affection. Their love is hard to understand more like a complicated one. So if we look at the depth of their affection, it is such an overwhelming love. It is expressed in the form of "self-sacrifice" and also how they are entering into darkness because of this. And that is what expressed in their eyes in the form of Sharingan, that's the 'power of love'. Love affect your eyes, right?? So when an uchiha felt 'love', it slowly awakens their mind & heart. And when it (love) breaks and sealed forever it turns into sharingan and then to Mangekyo Sharingan, means it awakens their eyes bcz they lost 'the love' and it never gonna return to them. And also it doesn't mean that sharingan eyes are only awakened because of the loss of love.

Eg: 1) Sasuke awakened his sharingan to protect Naruto from Haku. (As for Sasuke, his awakening will always be linked to Naruto)

2) Obito awakened his sharingan when he wants to protect his comrades. Obito clearly loves and cares for his teammate, and he has never shown favoritism towards just one person. But Rin is special to him. Even when he was in the cave with Madara, with that body, he trained hard to become strong enough to reach out to his teammates. All he could think about was the happy moments he had with his sensei and teammates. No one was excluded from his thoughts. So his teammates encouraged him and pushed him to train and get stronger.

So to awaken the sharingan it's not always of 'negative emotions ' but for to protect their important ones.

大きな - big; large; great. 愛 - love; affection. 喪失 loss; forfeit.

1) Madara awakens his sharingan when he was forced to sever his friendship with Hashirama. He didn't awaken when he lost his siblings, but when it came to a boy he met for a few days, his eyes responded. That boy is more important than his blood brother. So 'loss of love' here does not mean the death of a person. But a broken heart. His heart is broken, the love sealed in his heart is opened, and it is reflected in his eyes.

2) Obito awakens Mangekyō Sharingan when rin died. That's a permanent lost even if that's an unrequited love. Obito's world was shattered when Rin died at Kakashi's hands. His desperate efforts to save his teammates become futile when he finds he has lost the one he truly loves. He cannot accept the reality he has seen with his own eyes. It is a complete disappointment. He had no regrets when he died, but he believed that everything would be fine after that, but everyone failed him.

3) Sasuke's first awakening when he realizes his brother is going to leave him. (It's not because of his parents, it's because of his brother. Can't blame him for that bcz a parental figure in his eyes was his brother. There were no friends, happy memories or anything from his clan. It was entirely about Itachi and his parents played a very small role in his life.)

4) Sasuke awakens his third tomoe when he determines to cut his bond with Naruto. (A premonition of an unstoppable loss. The feeling of losing him. The lose of love is a terrible thing. It is worse than death. So in this part sasuke's deep affection for Naruto was well expressed. Don't forget that he didn't want to kill him, but he was heartbroken and decided to kill Naruto in order to gain MS. It is a strong emotional state that shows in his eyes. That means sharingan- “the eye that reflects the heart ” and MS - “the eye that reflects the heart of love”)

5) Sasuke awakens Mangekyo Sharingan after his brother died and Obito reveals the truth behind UMC.

At the end Itachi's actions drove Sasuke's heart filled with hatred, who kidnapped Killer Bee...and it started the Kage summit... at last his action led into Shinobi War. Itachi stopped the war by protecting the village by lying to Sasuke... And that lie created another war and a threat to the village in the form of Sasuke.

These people have a beautiful side that others don't know about. We get to see a different Madara when he was with Hashirama. His cute and adorable side that he shows towards Hashirama. When it comes to Sasuke we can see his embarrassment, nervousness and shyness towards Naruto. When sasuke with his older brother he becomes a little baby. Obito was a good, kindhearted and loveable kid. Aside from uchihas, Zabuza killed many people for fun and earned the nickname 'A Demon' but in Haku's view he wasn't a complete demon.

Because of these that Hashirama-Madara and Naruto-Sasuke bond was different from others. There are things in common for Hashirama-Madara, like 'the loss of brothers' and 'a goal to change the shinobi world'. And for Sasuke and Naruto it was “loneliness”. And they fought each other only for their personal matters. But that was not the case with H&M. So with these features, the bond between them always stands out. Their bond wasn't like Kakashi- Obito (friendly bond) and Sasuke - Itachi (brotherly bond). Because Kishimoto wrote HM & NS as 愛 typically with the connotation of romantic love.

The family crest on the back of Uchiha and Sasuke's fire elements probably also symbolize love is fire and the wind (Naruto) energize and give warm to his heart. “Only wind can assist and magnify fire”.

Read your old hokage madara and his husband hashirama fic, loved it! I actually do want to know the lore for how the timeline went in this au, please elaborate. Also why does madara dislike minato so much, it was really funny how he was just constantly like "eh he's not that great, he's mid," to his students no less

ok this is going to be longggggg so under the cut

i actually had a few different ideas about how we might get to where they were especially the beginning because as you all know i have a lot of thoughts on the matter of madara becoming and subsequently being hokage. the point i got caught up on is when i wanted him to get the rinnegan because i think its a huge deciding factor on how a lot of the early days of his run as hokage would play out. if he got the rinnegan before becoming hokage through whatever means then it would be smooth sailing from there like in the public eye hes literally the sage of the six paths reincarnated obviously hes going to be the leader. if/when zetsu shows up trying to use the tablet against him its not gonna work because he already witnessed what good the merging of these two clans can yield and has been thoroughly convinced that he is gonna be the one to fix things as leader of the village. the other option is that hashirama just insists on madara which i think would have destabilized the village lol but ultimately that could be rectified as long as madara was doing a good job and had hashirama on his side. now what they were doing outside of working hours that might have caused hashiramas dna to somehow enter madaras body or for their chakras to be merging or what have you however it works... thats for you to decide. but again as soon as madara has the rinnegan its game over like that is not only a powerful weapon its powerful as a symbol. so really it doesnt matter when it happens its just important that he is well liked, reasonably effective at running the village, close with hashirama, and has the rinnegan.

tobirama zetsu and the outbreak of war are the most obvious obstacles to this happening. since even if madara does fairly win the vote for hokage tobiramas still gonna be on his uchiha race science shit the best thing to do is to try to basically prevent any knowledge of the mangekyou ever leaking to the public which we know would be easy because thats also what happened in canon lol. as long as madara still has the trust of the public rumors like the ones echoed by tobirama won't be a problem. realizing his defeat tobirama retires to his lab to do creepy experiments and occasionally go do a mission. zetsu has much less of an in with madara in this au because madara actually has ties to the world here unlike his complete isolation in canon. of course theres still the dead family angle so i do think madara would go along with at least part of whatever zetsu's scheme was to the point of "inventing" white zetsu, but not to the point of going full infinite tsukuyomi. i think that not living in a cave and having friends would allow him to identify that something was wrong wrt the whole zetsu thing. what zetsu would do in response to that idfk zetsu is a mystery to me but i think that white zetsu at least would end up in an underground lab getting poked at by orochimaru. now the prospect of war is tough because thats a lot of factors and also the exactitudes of the first few shinobi inter-village wars are sort of sparse, but i think konoha would very rarely be a target of aggression seeing as two of the strongest shinobi who have ever lived both of whom could level your village to the ground with ease are in charge of it. its inevitable that theyll still end up in conflicts by virtue of being shinobi for hire but nothing that konoha couldn't handle with minimal casualties and zero child soldiers used.

during madara's first term hashirama takes on some students without much success and helps with the agricultural and structural needs of the village which hes pretty good at and which helps konoha 1. become a real village with farms and stores and people living there and traveling through and 2. develop an economy not entirely dependent on the whole killing people for money thing. of course eventually madara gets older and hands over the hat to none other than... thats right... sarutobi hiruzen. hiruzen as a middle of the road kind of guy who has proved his competency in battle and has no direct ties to the uchiha is the perfect person to give the role of hokage as he will assuage any worries about the uchiha having too much control over the village. it's also just sort of slim pickings for his age group and honestly i think his commitment to peace would win madara over (most likely this would be decision made by the whole council not just him but still). the next obstacle then of course is danzo, who would still be able to access tobirama's weird experiments and continue on with them. ROOT and its beginnings would grow in silence during hiruzen's time as hokage before eventually getting squashed once they showed too much of their hand and everyone was like wtf you cant just have your own black ops unit. danzo would probably still have been able to get his hands on some sharingan so he wouldn't go down easy but he would go down and it would be a massive scandal because he was hiruzens best friend and hiruzen had been letting him do all this shit. just no good. so hiruzen resigns and since the next generation of characters is still cooking and they dont really have anyone better madara takes the hat back.

during madaras second term not much happens besides mito taking kushina on as a student. i think some of the uzumaki still would have moved to konoha, mito included, and i do think ultimately they would have been destroyed since jinchuuriki are still a thing and the uzumaki are still the only ones who knew how to do that. the power struggle over tailed beasts would still exist and i think at some point as a move to fully secure dominance she might have agreed to become a jinchuuriki just because she was you know a sealing expert and if we're gonna have a tailed beast we should keep it with someone who knows what they're doing (this is also i assume the reason for her being the jinchuuriki in canon. like shes just the one who knows how to do the sealing and all that). mito and hashirama would be friends if only by virtue of having been at one point engaged so him and madara would have met kushina when she was mito's student. from here most things play out like they do in canon with of course the difference of kushina being in higher standing than minato, who was trained by flop jiraiya who is still out there writing his books.

of course when the time comes for the next hokage (which is soon because madara is old as balls) kushina minato and the sannin are the top choices which is basically the same as canon. the sannin are all ruled out for being drunks gamblers and perverts so really its between kushina and minato. notice how i led right into your second question about minato... this is the power of verbosity. madara while he may believe in the village here has not been ideologically converted to the blind optimism of a naruto type. hiruzens failure to properly deal with danzo would i think further solidify this position. minato is like the poster boy of this kind of thinking in naruto as a story like that is his theme that is what he represents he is the living embodiment of thinking everything will go fine just because he believes in himself and those around him or whatever (which notably did not turn out well for his students or his son or his village). madara is once bitten twice shy on hokages with that kind of mentality plus it would be another guy from tobiramas lineage of students which again once bitten twice shy. him allowing this to happen to his students is the final nail in the coffin on minatos standing with madara so thats why hes in one sided beef with him. minato doesnt gaf hes happy his wife is hokage and madaras gonna be dead soon anyways so whatever.

im trying to think of anything else that would be super relevant... plenty of characters have slightly different stories and theres plenty of things about how certain events happened that ive left out just for the sake of not writing a whole nother 12k words but this is like the basics of the timeline as i've been thinking about it. thank you for reading my long post and my even longer fanfiction lol

Everyone thinks that Obito was hallucinating after being in that cave for so long, so much so that he plans to get proof. Once everything calms down Obito goes to great lengths to find Gurgu or any of the other white zetsu and poor Kakashi has to follow him so he doesn't hurt himself. It becomes a regular thing to see Kakashi dragging Obito back by the leg like it's a regular Tuesday. Rin is really contemplating tying him to the bed the next time they find him and then one day in the silence of the Hokage tower, Obito uses kamui to show up in the room unannounced with Zetsu tied up in ropes screaming that he was telling the truth.

I forgot what the ask was, bUT OMG He gave up too easily in the AU! That's not what Obito would do you're right!

Actually, after a while I think he'd become a little paranoic because "there's this creepy old uchiha calling himself a ghost who should be dead for a goooood while now and hE CAN BRING people back to life??? We gotta find that guy?? That's not the kind of people they should just leave alone???"

And so Obito keeps searching for him and the Zetsus for a few years until he starts to even doubt himself from time to time, and one day accepts he must be dead by now... but honestly Madara still haunts his nightmares lol

Ik it’s pretty early to be asking this, especially since we didn’t even get to the point of her existing- kakuzu x Riki hc wise- but could you share some sycee hcs

I’ve had some time to think about her/what her life may be like, so I do have some headcons

Sycee named after an ignot because Kakuzu chose it.

Shortly after her birth, Riki took her to Konoha to visit her mother’s grave and claim her sword for Sycee.

She was an eerily easy baby, only fussing when she was hungry or needed to be changed

Very observant of her surroundings as a young child

Listening to the wildlife all around and people watching

That’s how she figured out their family isn’t the norm

Most mother’s aren’t mixing poisons in their kitchens/let their kids sample them and most fathers weren’t taking their daughters on bounty hunts

She was given some independence as long as she followed her parents rules; 1. Give no personal information 2. Stay out of villages 3. Always carry a weapon with her 4. Don’t hesitate to kill someone that wants to harm you 5. Don’t follow them when they’re working

She struggled making friends because of how mature she acted and her training compared to the countryside civilians. Play tag? Why? What’s the goal. Want to sword fight instead?

Her being so young and curious led her to break rules 2 and 5, which ultimately led to her being held hostage

She doesn’t remember much but the man’s blade pressing against her face, the burning pain of it cutting her flesh and the rain of blood falling on her.

The thick scent of iron while she slipped on blood soaked stones and stepping over bodies still haunt her dreams

She later learned that her life came at the cost of many innocent people that day and the guilt of that eats away at her

But after those events and her parents war path to retrieve her, Riki would bring Sycee to join Madara in the cave.

She hates being cold, the dark, and she doesn’t know her grandfather so of course she hates it

Listening to her mother and grandfather talk about these delusional ideologies and plans would frighten her

Not as much as Zetsu did though 💀 that creature can stay FAR over there

Honestly helped her develop her poker face and ability to remain silent

On one hand, she’s sure she can tell her father she wants to stay with him, but on the other she’s not old enough to hold her own and not be a burden during his hunts, so she’s essentially stuck

The only silver lining were the times her mother would take her to stay with her father which, thankfully, was a regular occurrence

When grandfather brings home a half crushed boy, she really wants nothing to do with the whole situation

But she is curious enough to watch the bandaging process

Noting how her mother’s attitude started to change after this new kid arrived

Telling her she needs to train harder and always doing that that hand fidget thing she does when lost in thought, more and more

Sycee followed her mother’s wishes and did train harder to put her at ease, but she drew the line at telling her anything she overheard

She actually easily amused and giggled whenever Obito had a little freak out before going silent again

By then, Sycee knew about the Akatsuki, her parent’s involvement, and Madara’s plans for an “ideal” world

And she wants nothing to do with it or the war it would bring. The nightmares from the aftermath of her hostage situation make it so she never wants to be responsible for the lose of innocence

She counted the days until she could claw her way out of the hellmouth she was born into

Once she was old enough, she moved to Amegakure simply to cooperate on a surface level, but avoided actually joining the Akatsuki/her parents suspicions

Working as an assassin, she takes on the worst of the worst. Earning her a reputation as someone with a death wish, but truly it’s just she can’t bring herself to kill someone who doesn’t deserve it

She even was able to make friends with a few of the working women around Ame, who get a thrill out of hearing about her missions

They gave her a copy of icha icha which she threw out her window in shock after finding out it was THAT kind of book.

She wouldn’t be self conscious about her scar anymore, but she also doesn’t like the attention and questions it brings

It’s the most free she’s felt in a long time. With the only downside being she doesn’t hear many crickets or see a lot of butterflies

Occasionally teaming up with her father, just to see him.

Often combining her wind and fire chakra’s to create large fire whirls to capture and incinerate their targets no Kakuzu isn’t happy if the body isn’t identifiable, but she’s also working here

Ignoring Hidan as much as humanly possible. As a result, he thinks she’s hard of hearing

Neither Kakuzu or Sycee correct this assumption and just share knowing glances

Or Sycee will just give him the middle finger

Tsunade

There’s a lot of things to love about Tsunade. She’s one of the strongest female character’s in the entire series as well as being a very damaged character who’s fighting just to get through every day.

She comes back to Konoha and takes the job of Hokage because of a kid she has only just met and procedes to lead the village for five years through some of the worst fights it has had to deal with. It’s under her leadership that Konoha works with the other villages, and unlike her Sensei she is actually unafraid to put the elder’s in their place.

Epic moment’s for Tsunade are numerous, but i’ll try not to get too carried away.

(Movie only) Poking Kakashi in the face and reminding him that accusing Naruto of attacking A, and thus throwing him into prison, was HIS idea and he has no right to judge her for being harsh (he looks like a scolded child. I love it. The auntie vibes are STRONG in this movie)

Speaking of Kakashi, remmember when she found out that he died and she proceeded to destroy one of the pillers on the roof of the Hokage’s mansion? Because i do and i LOVE it. Tsunade has seen enough death in her life but that doesn’t stop her from taking a second to morn Kakashi’s death and literally destroy something in anger (also while looking for pics i saw a conversation about how her destroying that piller wS representative of Kakashi’s death being the destruction of a piller of Konoha and oh boy i had FEELINGS).

Also, just the whole Pein attack in general was some bad ass Tsunade. I think Hashirama is the only other Hokage who could have protected Konoha and saved as many lives as Tsunade did. Her skills really shone through her as well as her connection with Lady Katsuyu.

(Anime Only) showing Ino and Sakura what she looked like when she was younger. Tsunade looked so proud of herself while she was showing off her younger look. It’s clear that she just loves looking young and that her keeping herself looking younger has never been about sexual appeal but just enjoying being young. If she could turn back time and be 12 again i think she would, and not just to save Dan and her brother.

Caving in Madara’s Sussano. This woman stood there and listened to Madara bad mouth her for the crime of not being as talented as her grandfather and instead of crying over it she proceded to destroy every judgement Madara made against her. She got stabbed through the abdomen and cut Madara’s sussano sword and shoved it out if her body. She got cut in half and still healed the other Kage’s using Katsuyu. SHE PUNCHED MADARA’s SUSSANO, A NEAR PERFECT DEFECE, AND SHATTERED THE RIB CAGE. Sure she was never going to win that fight, but damn did she do some major damage.

The fact that she taught Sakura to gamble? Delightful. Love master and student bonding over non training activities.

Calling Kakashi stupid for how he faced Itachi? Fair. Man didn’t know what he was getting into because he didn’t have all the necessary info, but she’s still valid for calling him out on acting before thinking. He was so protective of Asuma, Kurenai and specifically Sasuke (and then Naruto when he realized Itachi was actually there for him) he just threw himself into a fight. Tsunade had every right to call him dumb.

Telling Naruto his only disease was being dumb XD one of my fav moment’s ever. Boy was not ready.

(Book only) yelling at Gai for ditching his position to catch a ride on the fancy new air balloon/plane. Also, her asking Gai to tell them what Kaiyo looked like always felt hilarious because this man forgets all the faces and i can only imagine that it was a stressful af conversation to have.

fic notes, From Queen to a Pawn, chapter 9 edition!

With which Obito's very long and very exhausting day of suffering that began all the way in chapter 1 comes to an end (and so does a big chunk of this man's sanity)

So let's get dive into the details of this chapter that you might have missed!

(also I kinda loredumped a lot of stuff. oops)

the title of the chapter - "A gift that should not have been given"

I finished a giant chunk of this chapter in like 2 days, so I didn't even have anything significant in mind, but as I was sitting watching the AO3 posting form and thinking of what could possibly be a good title, I realized that, with how heated Obito gets regarding his rogue Sharingan and the guy who currently has said Sharingan, a reference to this page from chapter 243 is appropriate

If you don't exactly remember the Kakashi Gaiden plot, it all starts with the team congratulating Kakashi on his jonin promotion and Rin and Minato giving Kakashi their gifts for this occasion, while Obito arrives late without one and grumbles about forgetting that he even needed to bring one. It all culminates after the cave-in, when it becomes quickly apparent that Obito is done for, which is why Obito during his "last" moments decides to give up his left eye to Kakashi (who also kinda lost his own left one because of Obito). Which is exactly how we arrive to "Obito getting fucked over by this decision for the following 17 years".

Also as a sidenote just think about how salty Obito is about his left eye's fate LMAO? Kakashi's nickname is literally "SHARINGAN KAKASHI", I can't even imagine how hard Obito was malding when heard about that for the first time. Like, the audacity of this bitch??? That's literally my Sharingan??? Call that asshole appropriately, like "Sharingan that he got generously gifted by Uchiha Obito Kakashi"???

There was only one thing on his mind, drumming through him with heavy pounding in his ears and pulsing rhythmically along with dull pain behind his right eye

I am continuing with my idea that Obito actually gets hurt from overusing his Mangekyo, but only in cases when he activates Kamui way too often and keeps on covering large distances. Obviously, it starts with the thing simply hurting, but if he keeps it up, his eye will actually start bleeding (which is what happens in chapter 6). None of that is permanent, of course, our buddy has Hashirama cells to fix any damage that he might be doing to himself😁

Raising his chin higher to gaze at the dark skies above, now half hidden beyond rows of wires twisting and strangling the lamp posts that were dully illuminating the street just beyond the alley he had found himself in <...> God's Tower. Akatsuki's main base.

So to outline exactly the events that took place: in the early hours of the morning Obito finishes with his "jerky" business in his chambers and goes to talk shit at chat with Pain and Konan, both of whom are kind of freaking out because they can't contact neither Sasori nor Deidara for some reason (even if enough time had passed for them to throw off their pursuiers + now Nagato can't even feel their chakra on the rings), and Zetsu isn't replying either (the two of them are a bit preoccupied with following the Konoha squad around and watching the ressurected Kazekage because wtf + then they are speeding towards Ame to explain wtf had happened). So with Pain, Konan and Obito present, Zetsu make their announcement which, as we know, results in "Madara" losing his shit and jumping off the building to go towards Land of Rivers to the south of where they are. Zetsu, about to lose their damn minds too, because wtf is Obito doing, also leave, so now Konan and Pain are alone. The events on Obito's and Zetsu's end are shown, but Pain and Konan pretty much spend the rest of the day trying to figure out what the fuck are they supposed to do now, because Madara for the first time in 16 or so years actually SNAPPED and now the entire organization and the plan (that they are responsible for, as Madara kept his distance and just trusted their judgement when it came to things unrelated to Tailed Beasts) are in danger. Nagato spends his time doing things like contacting the other two teams (aka Kakuzu&Hidan and Itachi&Kisame) ordering them to stay put and don't do anything because Akatsuki have AN EMERGENCY, while Konan is off to deal with Akatsuki business in Ame itself, like the preparations for Deidara's operation (which she clearly won't need if she's dead). So half a day later, both of them are awaiting something to happen from Madara's and Zetsu's end (and Konan prolly mentally preparing to pull out the bombs in case shit does get violent) in Pain's chambers, and this is when Zetsu arrives. Zetsu gets to them only after putting Deidara's hand in the freezer in one of the shops just down the street, and so they explain the situation regarding Sasori being killed and Deidara surviving, with Deidara being on the way to Ame along with "Tobi". Konan leaves Akatsuki's base to get everything ready (again) for Deidara's treatment, and Zetsu explains Pain what happened before their arrival (because again, they never got the chance to properly explain anything due to Obito's outburst) and what happened after it. Everything is more or less calm for the next n minutes, and then that's when the unexpected happens (at least for Nagato and Konan, Zetsus miiiiiight have anticipated something like that) - Madara appears in the middle of the village, even if he was not supposed to be there for another few hours.

I have mentioned in chapter 5 that Ame doesn't really have hospitals, but rather hangars with some necessary equipment for treatments, and something serious like Deidara's case requires everything to be collected at one of these locations. Obito knows WHERE these hangars are located, but he doesn't know in WHICH one of them Deidara was supposed to be treated, so his only option is to return Akatsuki's base and scream at Pain/Konan to give him the location because he is in no position to be running about trying to guess where Deidara won't die. He can't exactly appear in the open with Kamui, so he arrives in an alley by the building's entrance.

Konan, being in one of the hangars, feels Madara's presence that shouldn't be there so soon, so she figures something bad must have happened, which is why she flies so fast to get to Madara's location. Pain and Zetsu are also aware of his arrival, but Zetsu offers to go first to chat with him, because "Madara is still pretty pissed about the whole shitshow". Now Zetsu is much closer to Obito's location than Konan is, yet Obito notices him much later - and that's because they were secretly watching the entire scene in front of the entrance unfold😁So finally Obito's paranoia pays off!

Something cracks. Probably the shitty sidewalk in this empty stupid village. Or maybe it was one of his own teeth as his jaws felt like they were made out of thick iron rods.

If you're wondering, yep, that's Obito breaking one of his own teeth. They'll just grow back, nothing to worry about, heheheh

it's the rain, it's the stupid rain, this is its fault, what the fuck is Nagato doing by letting the weather turn to shit like that?!

As it's stated in the manga, Pain actually has the ability to manipulate the weather in Amegakure (which is pointed out by Ame ninja). Nagato can actually use the rain to detect threats arriving in the village, but then shit gets confusing, because Viz's translation says one thing, while the wiki says another, so I've made the executive decision to interpret this ability this way: Amegakure naturally has a lot of rains (Ame literally standing for "rain", duh), so most of the time the village is actually getting showered on its own. Nagato can and does affect the weather, but only when it is necessary, because this shit takes quite a lot of chakra (I mean look at Ame's size) and he isn't in the best of health to waste it around for no reason, so the actual rains produced by Pain occur only on Sundays to look for things that are in the village and yet do not belong to it (because again the entire village is now a semi-cult with Pain as their head, but the rest of the world is none the wiser to the fact that Hanzo no longer controls the place) + whenever someone (mostly Konan) discovers something suspicious and there is a need to look for clues on a larger scale.

Obito is pretty much fuming at the fact that Nagato didn't prepare everything for his dramatic arrival with his dying crush in his arms. Sorry, man, should have sent the request with Zetsu🤷‍♀️

Obito's been biting his mouth all this time from the stress, which is why when he watches the reflection he sees dried blood on his chin. The dried blood on his scars/right cheek is from chapter 6 when he was running towards Land of Rivers and made his eye bleed.

The heavy metal doors to the base are shut, causing his wrath to flare up

In my mind the building has pretty wide steel doors that are pretty heavy. In chapter 4 of LTFG Deidara and Sasori actually leave through the same doors when they are open - the weather is good. But upon Deidara's and Obito's return they are shut to prevent the first floor and the basement from flooding.

Obito's fingers dig deeper into her, uncaring if he will leave bruises, grasping and grabbing at her, refusing to let her go. And maybe, just maybe somewhere at the edge of his consciousness, maybe there was the smallest shred of hope that some of his own warmth was enough to give Deidara some comfort.

Kind of a mix between Obito's hound tendencies to get their fangs into their favorite toy and not to let go + the tiny and nice part of him actually caring for Deidara's comfort

Obito glares at the widening gap between the heavy doors, and just as he notices a pair of deep dark eyes filled with shock watching the man standing on the street...

I love Konan with my whole heart, she is absolutely gorgeous, but she's also getting closer to her 40s, so I think some tiny signs of aging on our angel are appropriate. Sorry, darling, but in this situation Deidei is the one to embody the youthful feminine beauty😔

This is the best chance she has in your shitty half-sunken and rotting village that has to steal shit from the passing caravans of the major hidden villages just to be able to afford anything and not die like the mindless cattle your lot is. You are worthless, and the fools that run that compound are cowards and even more worthless than you are.

So, here's another headcanon of mine, and it's about Ame's economic situation. Even with their less than ideal climate, I think that their basic necessities like food, electricity and heat they can kind of cover, but something more sophisticated - yeah, with shit being calm for just about last 15 years and the village being essentially locked away from the world as they are Akatsuki's main base they are having trouble buying (and I imagine part of the funds for the village's budget actually comes from Akatsuki's activities), not to mention producing something like medicine, which is why Ame has something of a shadow fleet (? I guess that's the appropriate name) which goes out and terrorizes the ships swimming along the rivers around the country.

The number of medics in Ame is also pretty limited, and with the whole civil war thing in place (plus Iwa, Suna and Konoha rolling over them), I imagine they would be one of the first targets to be killed in case they got too loyal to one side, which is why the surviving iryonins will kinda do whatever you demand of them if you give them the money (or threaten them enough).

Just like I am unable to fulfill my role as the Savior of this world alone, so am I unable to do anything by myself now. 

Soooo I also did mention how I am planning on a lot of lore changes to Narutoverse. Well, fuck Kishimoto for his endless glazing of Uchihas, so Obito actually has to rely on a lot of things about his plan aka the Beasts on Nagato. Rinnegan has no relation to Madara or anyone from Uchiha, it is his own innate ability that he was born with. Ten-Tails also won't be awakened with some of the Tailed Beast in and only tiny bits of chakra of others inside (hi Bee's tentacle), because what the fuck is this convoluted bullshit, Kishimoto, why won't Obito in that case just steal a bunch of parts from the Beasts and voila he has an angry screaming eldritch horror to terrorize anyone unwilling to give up their Beast. I do wanna change it so Ten-Tails can be awakened with some of the Beasts inside, but it will result in it being weaker and less stable (aka likely to fall apart into pieces of the Beasts again).

(And I guess I might as well include what I have in mind for Rinnegan's (plus Byakugan's and Sharingan's) workings here, because it will be a while before that will actually be relevant.

So, Sharingan and Byakugan are both things that get passed down genetically.

Byakugan seems to be the dominant trait (and yes I don't give shit about Boruto yippie), so in my interpretation if one of the parents has it, the kids are pretty much guaranteed to have it on birth. So not-Byakugan + not-Byakugan = not-Byakugan, not-Byakugan + Byakugan = Byakugan, Byakugan + Byakugan = Byakugan. Even a half-blooded Hyuga will have a Byakugan in their next generation. This is important, because then it actually explains why Hyuga don't seem to have a preference for the gender of the heir (with Hinata's father generation being male and Hinata's own being female), but only focus on the order of the siblings.

Sharingan, as far as my AU is concerned, is similar to Byakugan in that it is passed down from parents, but it is actually a bit more complicated as for Uchihas the gender of the parent and the activation of their dojutsu matters. Sharingan prefers to get passed down via the male line, meaning from father to children, and if the father has awakened his Sharingan, then the child is practically guaranteed to have latent Sharingan upon birth. Father with latent Sharingan and mother with activated Sharingan when mixed with a parent with no Sharingan practically never results in a Sharingan, and mother with a latent Sharingan with a father with no Sharingan can never have a child with latent Sharingan. However, Sharingan does make an appearance if both parents have active or latent Sharingan, which is what leads to the next big issue of Uchiha clan - inbreeding😃

I make all of these rules to accomodate the historical precedents that we actually see in canon. So, we start in warring states period, when everyone poped a baby every year to continue the lineage and every kiddo was traumatized beyond belief by the time they were 7. For Uchiha clan that means that all sons had a Sharingan before even reaching puberty, so it did not really matter whom they married, their distant cousin or some village girl, the grandkid would still end up with a Sharingan down the line. And even by that point Uchiha are already proud of their dojutsu and its secrets, so the practice of "keeping it in the family" was already in place by the time Konoha was established. So something of peace times emerge, and the first generation of Uchiha bring their kids to Konoha, the kids grow up in pretty chill environment, so Sharingans are not as common among them, and then start marrying other inhabitants of Konoha and having the grandkids. This is all nice and dandy for about 20 years before Hashirama dies and First Shinobi World War breaks out, and it's in that moment Uchiha realize that they fucked up, because their grandkids can not awaken Sharingan, they simply do not have it. Meanwhile the grandkids that were, for the lack of better description, about 95% Uchiha, could awaken it, which prompted a much tighter control from within the clan over who Uchiha marry, particularly the sons as only boys could become heirs for their line of family (because unlike Byakugan Sharingan clearly favored the male line). About at the same Tobirama becomes the second Hokage and starts his reforms that also included Uchiha's position in the village, so, in the end, by the time 30 years since Konoha's establishement passed, due to both internal and external factors Uchiha clan becomes as separated as it ended up being all the way until massacre happened 72 years after the village was established. And the 30s is actually the time when the generation of Fugaku and Mikoto was born, so about that time it became quite common place for Uchiha men to marry their distant cousins, aunts, nieces, etc etc (I imagine they did try to maximize the distance on the family tree, but only after a few unfortunate results), because the alternative was to allow their dojutsu to go extinct. It is also during that time that clan started actively pushing for boys to awaken their Sharingan as soon as possible - because again active Sharingan means that the next generation will have a Sharingan, and Sharingan requires emotional trauma which is harder to get as the psyche forms and grows stronger with age - which is why we see Obito (ages 9 to 13) and Sasuke (8) worry so much them still not having a Sharingan, not that they understand the exact mechanics of why besides "it's gonna make me a stronger shinobi", the clan is pushing for it very strongly.

So that's how we end up with what we have in modernish times aka 60-80 years after Konoha's establishment. Because even if the clan did try to avoid very close inbreeding, several generations of this eugenics projects meant that while yes, upon first look it seemed like the children were fine, but in reality they ended up being much more prone to various mental illnesses (which would be Obito's example) or some other physical illnesess that would develop down the line (which would be Itachi's example). As I have shown with the fireflies flashback in chapter 2 of FQTP, even as a child Obito, when upset, was prone to outbursts of violence and anger that he couldn't control, which ended up with him often getting into fights with other children, destroying their things and even hurting them (nothing beyond a few scratches or bruises), and afterwards would be either extremely sad and crying for hours or dissociate himself from everything. I suppose that would be closer to some form of bipolar disorder? Regardless, his grandmother was aware of her grandson's issues that he clearly couldn't control (Obito was a very kind and gentle child outside of these episodes), so she was looking for a way to either cure him or find some way for him to mitigate his condition, but due to... er... things happening, she passed away before being able to help her grandson with that. Obito's condition, now that he lived alone and without the love and care of his closest relative (Uchiha took care of him, but it was still very different), started to worsen, but it was still more or less managable for his teenage self, but then the real HORRORS began and he spiraled completely out of it.

And with Itachi it's his chakra disease that he ultimately succumbs to. It is genetic, and he always had it, it passed Sasuke, but the big brother got less lucky. With proper medication and restrictions on use of chakra and especially Sharingan he would have likely made it much longer, but alas the life of crime ended him much faster.

tldr Kishimoto likes to call it curse of hatred, but I call it several generations of inbreeding lmao

I guess that's about it for Sharingan? I don't wanna go into exact details of the Uchiha family tree, because a) I haven't gotten around to actually fully developing it yet b) it'll spoil some nasty surprises down the line. As it currently stands, Obito's most important family line which goes through his father to his grandmother to his great-grandfather doesn't have anyone who's family name is not Uchiha lol.

Also I guess I have this fun idea that Kakashi's mother was actually an Uchiha with latent Sharingan, which is why he has the standard black eyes that both Sakumo and his mom would have, but he doesn't ever awaken his own Sharingan simply because he doesn't actually have it, but he is more or less okay using Obito's as his body is quite a lot more resilient to the effects of using a Sharingan. Judging from the fact that the other non-Uchiha guy who was using Sharingan aka Danzo needed like 20 shots of Hashirama cells for that I think it's okay to presume Kakashi has an unusual aptitude for this particular dojutsu.

And finally the Rinnegan. Considering how much everyone canonically loses their shit at the mere thought of this dojutsu, I think it's important to make it very rare and very mysterious.

Which is why I think it would be really fun if Rinnegan operated similarly to how the Avatar operates in ATLA series. So, it is a dojutsu that is not inheriteted in any capacity - a child of the owner of Rinnegan does not have a higher chance of it appearing, someone is born with it without any warning. Moreover, only one pair of Rinnegan can exist at the time - which, currently, means just Nagato's. The process of new Rinnegan users appearing is also pretty much just like the Avatar - once one user's Rinnegan is gone, another child somewhere in the shinobi world is born with it. And by gone it means both eyes are destroyed or deteriorate from natural causes like rotting of a body, which means that for some time after the Rinnegan's user passes away, the following reincarnation will not appear if the body is left on its own - Rinnegan is naturally resistant to ilnesses and such, so only active mechanical intervention (like physically crushing it) can expidate this reincarnation process.

Now as for other special perks of Rinnegan - because it's a reincarnation-based thing (and I like the concept of the Avatar lmao), the following Rinnegan owners actually inherit some of the experiences that the previous users have. These experiences include the knowledge of the jutsu developed by the previous owners (I will come to this point in a second) and some of the memories of a few previous generations of the Rinnegan. The farther a past owner is removed from the current one, the muddier the memories become, until after a certain point absolutely nothing can be recovered.

Now, as for knowledge of the jutsu, Rinnegan by itself offers a much higher degree of control over chakra which is unavailable to people without one, so things developed and done by Rinnegan owners are considered miracles and the people themselves are oftentimes revered as gods (hi Pain). This, in particular, is important when we talk about the Sage of Six Paths who, if we remove all the additional layers of myths, was actually one of ancient Rinnegan users, and likely by far the most famous one, as he was the person to push the boundaries of chakra as concept to its limits. The man in his youth had a lot of ambitions when it came to his dojutsu, so most of his experiments concerned life itself. He had managed to massively increase his lifespan with his research, and had achieved a miracle that, theoretically, goes against the nature of the world - Sage had managed to spread his dojutsu to other people, albeit it did result in their death and was not an actual Rinnegan, but simply had functions of one; upon extraction the eyes would revert to their original look, but nonetheless, the man had pushed the limits of his own being and from one grew into many, which is why he is already by that point considered a god and has mythos made about him.

But by far the most impressive achievement of his ended up being his darkest and most dangerous project by far. Sage, with all of the developments on chakra that he had already made, asked himself a question if it would be possible for him to create something out of chakra itself and have it take a physical form that it would be able to support on its own. After countless years of tests and collecting massive amounts of chakra simply beyond human comprehension he had achieved what he set out to create.

In the end, as usual, the real question that Sage should have asked himself was not "Can I create this?" but rather "Should I create this?"

Because the finale of his experiments came to be known as Ten-Tails.

Now, the very first issue with a living being of this size is that to support its active metabolism it must consume a lot of energy. And Ten-Tails, being a creature made out of pure concentrated chakra that ended up developing an actual physical form as a consequence of that, feeds upon chakra, and massive quantities of chakra at that. According to Sage's calculations, in best case scenario Ten-Tails would end up consuming the entirity of the planet's chakra in just a year if it is allowed to roam freely. And the second issue arose when he realized that Ten-Tails, along with a body, actually developed consciousness, which was something that Sage did not plan for at all. Ten-Tails had a very limited consciousness, mind you, but it was enough for it to understand where its food was, how to get there and what to do with those opposing it on its goal. Obviously, bloodbath ensued, until ultimately Sage had managed to restrain the thing and seal it into, what he presumed at the time, to be the best vessel - his own body (which, in a sense, was ironic, considering that he originally stored the chakra for the thing in the first place).

Sage spent his remaining years attempting to find a way to destroy Ten-Tails, and to his dismay he had discovered that the mistake of this experiment is, in fact, impossible to fix. Ten-Tails' body had an absurd amount of life force within it, and even if one was to ravage it non-stop, it would still take millions of years to actually extinguish it all. The chakra was also giant issue, as now the creature was actually part of the balance of the spiritual energy in the world, so dispersing it all in one go to ensure permanent death of Ten-Tails would be akin to exploding a giant cog in a very fragile machine - the entire system would be severely damaged, if not outright destroyed. And no matter how much Sage fought against the nature, death was still inevitable for him, which is why he had to resort to what he did, and that was to dismember Ten-Tails as much as possible. The first step was to remove the physical form and spiritual form - with the first part ending up to be what is known as Gedo Mazo, while the second went on to be processed by another precaution of the Sage. His assumption was that, if Ten-Tails' spiritual part was left undamaged, it could simply develop another physical form, and returning in full force to bring about the death of all life, so he also separated that part. According to his calculations, nine parts would be the ideal number to ensure their stability, thus not allowing Ten-Tails to naturally merge together and not disturbing the balance of the chakra in the world too much. These nine parts would later become known as Tailed Beasts, with their forms naturally evolving over time to accomodate their habitats.

Sage had written down the meaning of all he did for his followers and students, and pretty much wrote in large red letters DO NOT COMBINE THESE PIECES UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, because the only things capable of controlling Ten-Tails' actions are Ten-Tails itself and a pair of Rinnegan (as reincarnation of Sage who created it in the first place).

And it was all lovely and dandy, over the years even the concept of Ten-Tails was forgotten, until a certain clan of red-eyed shinobi stumbled upon the instructions and writings of the Sage. The clan, at the time, was lead by none other than Uchiha Madara, who grew a very keen interest in these artifacts and had something of an ego problem. So, whenever he grew resentful of the idea of Konoha and got his ass kicked by Hashirama, Madara would proceed onwards with his plan of Eternal Tsukuyomi that required absurd amounts of chakra to succeed, which is how the whole Ten-Tails' resurrection idea came about, and thus ended up hiding inside the place where the Sage conducted his experiments and buried the physical part of Ten-Tails - and that place is known as Mountains' Graveyard in modern times.

And I think that's most of the important lore that I thought of regarding the Rinnegan? lmao that ended up being way longer than I expected)

anyway, back to the actual chapter lol

yet Obito can not shake off the feeling that he is watching her being dressed into a funeral cerement, similar to the ones he witnessed when he was young and watched the elder relatives from the Uchiha clan being taken away forever, including his own grandmother.

so, again with the tiny mentions of Obito's grandma! she's actually a pretty important piece to the overall lore, but currently is kind of the original source of his trauma regarding his loved ones dying and suddenly abandoning him (because, if you remember chapter 2 of FQTP, Obito actually never knew his parents)

How could I allow this, I am no longer a fourteen year old kid, I am no longer a twenty something year old idiot, this is the third time it all almost goes down the drain! I am no one, I am Madara's heir, I am the Savior, I am the fucking Leader, I am–

here I actually mention the other two times that Obito MAJOURLY fucked up. He was 14 during his attack on Konoha with Nine-Tails (which was also in chapter 2), which is what prompted Zetsus to keep a tighter watch on him because god fucking dammit we just started and now the entire world is freaking out, because Konoha's Tailed Beast suddenly went out of control (which is. you know. happens) and a Hokage was killed (but this is the Yellow Flash we are talking about + everyone who has been there at the scene can pretty much confirm that Nine-Tails was summoned on top of the village, which increases the likelihood of an enemy of Konoha being involved).

The second big "oh fuck" moment that Obito had was actually him losing control over Kirigakure aka the end of Blood Mist. I imagine that, after so many years of messed up shit taking place, numerous attempts were made on Yagura's life by different factions of resistance and simply other people who fucking hated his guts (hi Zabuza), and with a combo of Kisame acting as the Mizukage's personal guard (aka Madara's ally) and Obito secretly overseeing Yagura's day-to-day activities, brainwashed Yagura and Isobu within him remained pretty safe and under Obito's control. However, due to certain events in Konoha that totally did not involve Itachi in any capacity, Obito ended up away from Kirigakure for an extended period of time, which resulted in his genjutsu weakening over both Yagura and Isobu. Kisame also ended up away (likely due to an injury sustained after one of the previous attempts on Yagura?), which created a prime opportunity for one of the resistance groups to strike against the Mizukage, and this particular group would just so happen to be lead by Terumi Mei. A short fight ensued, but in the end Yagura was finally awakened from the genjutsu. Unfortunately, by that point he is pretty much done for - being under Sharingan's influence for so long damaged his mind, so by the time Mei and her followers managed to talk to him, he was already dying. Yagura does manage to relay some very important information to them, in particular something about a masked man, Tailed Beasts, a war, etc etc, things that he did manage to pick up on over the years. It is by that point Obito arrives at Kiri - he senses that the genjutsu was broken. Well, more events happen, but in the end Yagura dies right in front of Obito's eye, and takes away Isobu for a trip to Pure Lands (again LMAOOOOOOOO). And, if Obito was to be away to the massacre during all of this, he would be 22 years old by that point.

(also that's why Mei is called the "Usurper" by the supporters of Blood Mist in chapter 1, in the letters that Obito reads - she is widely believed to be Yagura's murderer (and the people might no be wrong about it), and the nickname only sticked harder as the group that she lead would slowly win and take over the Land of Water in the civil war that ensued :))))))

Zetsu, their head sticking out from a dryish cobblestone under the roof of the building nearest to the intersection by God's Tower. "Wow, that was fast!" White doesn't bother with greeting Obito

To be fair, this entire chapter Zetsus aren't exactly subtle about their reactions to the little experiment they conducted🫢😁White pretty much throws it into Obito's face, while Black is fuming at his suspiciouns being confirmed

I think her file in Iwagakure said that Tsuchikage signed off on a special accelerated jonin training regimen for her under the Information Acquisition and Intel Extraction Corps? Supposedly even their previous colonel was involved, and they said that after a few hours that guy could make even the greatest saints among men admit to shoving it into a little lamb in public

So, what Zetsu says here is actually the public knowledge, at least known by most people and available to be read as one of the reports in the archives in Tsuchikage tower. However, Iwagakure has an access system when it comes to certain reports. Depending on the secrecy of the information contained within the report, only jonins that have passed some additional examinations and, in some pretty serious cases, gained Onoki's permission, can read what is in there. A lot of the information concerning last few years of Deidara's life in Iwagakure is actually contained within some of these reports, meaning that nobody except for Deidara, Onoki and a number of high-ranking officers know exactly what had taken place to cause Deidara to steal a kinjutsu and run away from the village.

Information Acquisition and Intel Extraction Corps is one of the many subdivisions that Iwagakure has (including canon Explosion Corps where Deidara actually served, along with Sensor Corps and Gearing Corps mentioned in chapter 6. yes I like to call them all Corps. sounds cool innit). But it's their fancy and official title, everyone who has ever worked with them simply calls them the Torture Squad😁

The colonel might be a pretty important figure. He might be related to that moment in chapter 8 when Deidara started screaming. And yes, he was really good at his job as the head of the Torture Squad😁😁😁

"Aw, so prickly..." White breathes out with mirth. Obito's teeth start grinding against each other as the desire to kick the shitface grows by second. What is he so happy about? "Is something upsetting you?"

And again with White actively throwing the results of their experiment into Obito's face

btw all of Obito's thoughts in this stretch (meaning the slaughterhouse scene) of the chapter are directed at Kakashi

At least, it used to be. And now it's ruined, it's tainted, it's used by someone else, by someone who always did this, who always ruined everything in his life, a bastard that Obito, shortly after awakening his Sharingan, should have stabbed instead of that Iwa guy and left to bleed out like the worthless greedy garbage he was.

So, firstly, I imagine Obito even by now has a giant inferiority complex when it comes to Kakashi. It's kind of how his mind is used to thinking of him and constantly comparing them together. Well, at least whenever Obito isn't busy hating Kakashi for breathing lol. To be fair he kinda deserves it, with him managing to go after Rin and Deidara

Secondly, I think Kamui is very important and personal for Obito. It's his, it's something that followed him on this dark journey, and I think most importantly Kamui is a way for him to separate himself from the real world, allowing him to both escape it in some sense and making him feel like he is the chosen one.

Which leads to my final point that Obito would be extremely upset when he learns that Kakashi, the asshole that already took so much from him without even meaning to do so, gets access to Kamui too. This is his special place, this is his personal hideout, and now Kakashi got in there and threw Deidara's half-ruined elbow too. Eugh

Imagining himself being submerged below layers upon layers of thick ice, drowning his scorching hatred within the coldness of indifference, he chases away all thoughts that would not belong to Madara, the man returning to the world where Zetsus were awaiting his arrival with the subject's rediscovered elbow in tow.

Hooray, Obito is dissociating! Until he sees the elbow, the text actually only refers to him as Madara. He also uses the word "subject" in regards to Deidara (for which he previously wanted to beat Zetsu up)

Sunagakure, I imagine, is far too preoccupied with celebrating the miraculous return of their Kazekage, while the Mizukage's attention is on the internal issues rather than the events on the other side of the ocean.

Looking at the map, there's actually two oceans separating Land of Water and Land of Wind, but you get the point, Mei's got enough of her problems to get preoccupied with Akatsuki's attack

Throwing off his clothing becomes only harder going forward - the index and the middle finger on his left hand are shoved deep into the moist and warm wound replacing his left eye, pushing, pinching and scraping at the itch, there is a distant realization that blood and chunks of flesh are dripping down his unscarred side of face, but the itch just doesn't go away, it's always with him, it pisses him off along with the new burning feeling of Hashirama cells fixing the damage, driving him further into wrath’s clutches

I actually originally didn't plan on having Obito mutilate himself in this way, but as I was writing that part I realized hell yeah he'd be doing something about his left eye. Also thank god for Hashirama cells now I can put this man through the meatgrinder he would be fine🙏

Its ugly muzzle is completely covered in blood, the hole in its skull on the left half-opened and shining with fresh blood oozing down its left cheek, while the blood on its right one and chin has long dried off and turned reddish brown, some of it even getting into the scars, making them stand out all the more.

Left cheek is from scratching into his eye, right cheek from his run into Land of Rivers, chin from chewing on his lips from stress

I hate you so much. .... From the very beginning, everything was always your fault.

It's the exact same phrases that Obito is using in regards to Kakashi... but now they might just be aimed at himself

Finally making a summary of my naruto AU (mostly repeating what I said to a friend when it was still just barely a concept lol)

(please don't mind any mistype, i barely reread myself)

So, just a little backstory on the why: I was playing a naruto game (naruto x boruto ninja voltage, rip, it was a peak game, no joke, all the anime games I play end up terminating the next year, I might be cursed)

And in it you can have teams of 4 ninjas and my main team (really just the team with my best ninjas) was composed of:

And i thought it was hilarious (my first thought was smt like "lol Boruto is having the weirdest day of his life")

Now, I had started by designing Rin, and i hadn't even decided when in time they would all get sent to, so I told myself that they would probably need to be undercover, and to avoid any suspicion because of her face marks i decided that she would wear a kakashi-style mask and that she would pose as a guy (and Boruto would pose as a girl, i should have realised I'd end up making the kids trans, but i am an idiot so i didn't)

Now, for the name changes (that they use to be undercover, except Rin who uses it as his new name as a boy): they came after i decided for them to get transported to a time barely before Rin's canon death

Rinne: mainly for rebirth, reincarnation, I thought it was a very dramatic name for a trans person and was very close to "Rin" in pronounciation, then i realised it was already used in canon for the rinnegan and said fuck it i'm keeping it anyway

Boruto: no name change, that's mainly because I didn't feel the need to give her a new name, but also because I believe that even after transitioning she would like to have an attachment to the life she lost when time traveling and decided to make her keep her birth name, I'm also a sucker for trans characters who keep their birth name.

Tobi: I had no inspiration ngl, he already has a perfect alias like i like them to be, close to his old name without being too on the nose

Mada: I messed up and made it too on the nose, but i had to somehow change his name because no matter the time period, being called Madara Uchiha will make heads turn, (exact words i said to my friend: "because of the fact that Madara is kind of the ultimate villain name to give your kid in the narutoverse post his first death")

Rough explanation of the horribly thought timeline now (please keep in mind the designs i gave them are supposed to be from a few months after the time displacement):

I haven't thought of a reason why they got time displaced, because I am extremely lazy

Tobi and Mada were displaced a bit before the kids, being both aware of Zetsu's plan Tobi didn't too much of a hard time to force Mada to fix the stuff he messed up in preparation for his eye moon plan, they decide that they'll start by not letting Rin die and killing the Madara and Zetsu of that timeline

They split up: Tobi is in charge of killing the supervillains, Mada is in charge of making sure Kakashi doesn't kill Rin and that Obito isn't conscious in case he fails

So he puts young Obito under a genjutsu, kill the white zetsu around him, carry him on his back and continue in team minato's direction, but when Rin's death is very close to happening, he feel Isobu's chakra at another place, so he hesitates and Kakashi successfully (if we want to call that a success) kills Rin, Mada opts to kill their enemy nins so that at least Kakashi is vaguely safe and then turns around to go tame the tame beast (I decided that if one eye of a pair awakens mangekyou then both eyes do cuz it's easier that way for me idc)

When he arrives he does not see Isobu but Rin (Rinne) in a full on rampage, with a panicked blonde kid (Boruto) running away from her, he chooses to force the beast into submission thanks to his super awesome sharingans and bring the three kids with him to the cave where Tobi destroyed Madara and Zetsu, well he brings Obito and Rinne but Boruto tags along because she's really confused as to where she is

In the cave, Tobi fixes up the seal on Rinne as well as he can(bro saw a lot of seals when he was actively killing jinchurikis, so he's on temporary seal fixing duty)

Tobi, Mada, Rinne and Boruto manage to figure out they're all time-displaced (or more like dimension-displaced but whatever), thanks to Tobi intelligently asking Boruto if she's a fucked up Naruto and her telling him that no, her dad is fucked up Naruto

When young Obito wakes up, Tobi and Mada decide to just make things up so that they have a cover story that young Obito, the yapper that he is, will spread for them:

-Tobi and Mada are traveling nin, they are cousins who didn't grow up in Konoha because they were born from the encounters between beautiful civilian women and handsome Uchihas on a mission far from home

-Boruto is Tobi's student, she doesn't have her family anymore

-They were on their way to Konoha to ask for a place in the village when they saw Kakashi stab Rin with his chidori, recognising the Konoha symbol on their forehead protectors they and decided to help them

-Kakashi passed out, they killed the enemy nins, healed Rin like they could (Kakashi's chidori "barely missed her heart") and tried to fix her seal

-Sensing more shinobis arriving they decided to leave with Rin because "they panicked"

-They found Obito passed out on their way to a cave to be safe for the night and took him too

-Obito woke up once already and shared Madara's mad plan with them all but he doesn't remember and they're not surprised because "he looked out of it and if they hadn't fought Madara and Zetsu when arriving at the cave then they would have thought he was making things up"

-Tobi and Mada then decided to fix what Madara did already and that they would come back to Konoha once they had done all they needed

Coming back to the truth, Tobi decides that it should be better for Obito to have someone help him get used to his alien-hashirama-plant limbs, and tracks down Tsunade and manages to get her to help Obito with the promise of no blood even being seen

My exact words: "Then they went to fix Madara's problems and came back later with Rinne and Boruto having started their transitions", I can't be bothered to think about how they fixed stuff up so yeah lol, timeskip on my side, now they look like the designs i shared

(to note: Rinne loses in chakra control because of the added tailed beast chakra, he kind of loses his mind because he can't be a great healer like he dreamed of and Mada ends up kinda feeling bad since it's technically his fault and teaches up insane taijutsu

Young Obito becomes the healer of team minato because Tsunade was going insane at his lack of medical knowlegde)

They get Tsunade to agree to come back to Konoha, for Obito, and also so that they go from "potential threat" to "people who helped save a young konoha shinobi who was thought dead", when Rinne gets recognised as Rin from team minato, they get bumped up to "people who helped save two young konoha shinobis who were thought dead"

Because I'm a sucker for "nothing ever goes wrong and everybody is happy" stories, they all (not Mada, because he doesn't want to) get integrated into the Konoha ranks, first as chunin because i play favourites, and Tobi takes the jonin test very quickly and takes over as team minato's new replacement leader (because Minato is very busy being hokage now and having a pregnant Kushina at home)

Boruto becomes somewhat friends with Kushina, helping her with her pregnancy, because she remembers some tricks from when she was young and her mother was expecting her sister

Mada ends up taking Rinne and Kakashi under his wing and, my exact words:

"he did such a better job at being a parental figure to Kakashi than he did to Tobi that Tobi makes him regret it by constantly being an ass"

"I loved the idea of young Kakashi seeing a man with tied down grey hair and mistaking him for his dead dad and apologising very badly and Mada just turning towards Tobi and being like 'Im gonna adopt this kid' and Tobi having flashbacks from when he was the same age and he had to live in a cave with Madara, and he was litteraly the worst parental figure on earth so he goes 'No you won't' and Mada still does cuz nobody can stop mada"

I haven't added anything to the main story of this au, I still have some silly little scenes I want to badly draw so I didn't include them here, but they don't add anything very interesting they're mainly just passing thoughts

Anyway, here's two drawings that aren't part of my au's story but that are set in similar universe, if that makes sense? (i don't think ive posted them already)

Hello! Can I request something about Madara and younger male s/o? Maybe a little (or not even a little, as you prefer (⁠ ͡⁠°⁠ ͜⁠ʖ⁠ ͡⁠°⁠)) feminine, maybe short? Scenarios or imagines about Madara with a female s/o are much more frequent than with male ones. Although I can actually see why - he likes to dominate too much haha. That is why, perhaps, he would choose more fragile partners? I don't know. Just curious what you can create) Thank you!

This is quite curious, and in fact, I've been thinking about it since I received the request.

I can only imagine this with a rather dark Madara, Yandere! if we want to say it in some way.

I ended up writing him as a first class psychopath, and I'm not sure you're going to like it, but I followed my instinct and came up with this.

In general, the only male I write Madara with is Izuna, but it seemed like an interesting challenge, so here we go.

- To begin with, when looking for someone, he looks for boys who are as similar as possible to Izuna. The death of his brother left him so traumatized, having lost the only person he cared about in the world, there's no turning back.

- After faking his death and being away from Konoha's radar, Madara wanders around unknown, remote villages, looking for a target. Of course, he doesn't think of them as "victims" per se, but a human on whom to unload everything that came with losing the love of his life, and to top it all off, keeping his eyes.

- Romantic or not, Izuna represented the last subject of affection for Madara's heart, the last person to bleed, to suffer, to live for. Losing him destroys the whole ecosystem he built in his life, and leaves him on an aimless path, destruction at its best.

- He will seek out different men, disguising himself as a normal person and pretending to be a traveler. He will gain their trust, make them believe in him, and stalk them like a predator hiding in the dark. No one knows his name or where he comes from, using different genjutsu to disguise his physical appearance.

- Once he has them in his claws, he uses and abuses them as he wishes, keeping his victim in his cave and not allowing him to see the light of day anymore. He can't risk leaving loose ends, no one to give him away.

- He calls them all by the name of his late younger brother, and forces them to pretend to be him, forcing them to address him as "Aniki" amidst tears and pleas for freedom. Most try to play along as they identify his lack of sanity, most survive for months.

- Those who decide to fight or refuse to follow his instructions are killed slowly and mercilessly, in the most terrible and inhumane ways possible.

- Every time one of the replacements loses his life or he himself decides to make him lose it, a huge emptiness attacks his chest, a need to hold Izuna in his arms, to return his beautiful eyes, to hear his voice.

- Madara loses himself more and more, little by little falling into a hole of perdition with the name of his younger brother, looking for in strangers and innocents what Tobirama snatched from him some time ago.

- His behavior only wanes with the arrival of Obito, finding a new purpose and having decided that trying to replace Izuna is pointless, but will directly force reality to bring him back.
