 About the Fic

Sorgan. The planet they are stranded on is Sorgan. The one with the krill farmers. This episode is not my favorite, mostly because I felt that it spent too much time on training montages and too little on developing characters. However, this fic perfectly fills in all the empty places. Din gets to talk more to Omera, Luke has a chance to meet people who were saved by Din. Omera’s daughter Winta reunites with Grogu. It’s a sweet and mature story about meeting old friends and musing about roads not taken. The trust and bond between Din and Luke is beautifully done, and reminds me again why they are so special.

This one has meddling Senate forcing Luke into marrying king of Mandalore. Luke rebels in little ways he can. And so does Din. If only they had more tact while doing so. Also, this fic gets an extra cookie from me for having SW alien species along with humans. Yes, yes, Grogu is the little green gremlin we all love.

Summary

About the fic

This is the very first dinluke fic I read back in January even before watching the show itself. And I was sold on the ship right there and then. ;)

Chapter 1 is the original fic and tells the story of earnest preschool teacher Luke trying to have a conversation with an elusive parent of his latest student while being mercilessly vetted by all his friends. Large chunks of the story are told from Grogu POV which is adorably hilarious. Bonus chapter 2 is about a well earned first coffee date under the watchful eyes of Din and Luke’s nosy friends. Chapter 3 tells the story of Din’s first meeting with Grogu.
