It was months into her post history before Kikimora found something that didn't look professionally taken. It was a grainy selfie taken at night with only a streetlight for lighting. It was also the only picture where Hana was truly grinning, face wrinkled and eyes squinted. It took Kikimora a moment to place the others in the shot. If it weren't for Killian's long blond hair, she might not have recognized the band that Hana had eaten brunch with before at all. Idly, she wondered if the shitty quality was on purpose, to make it hard to identify the group. The caption read, "Alexa, play How to Save a Life by the Fray #friendsversary".

oh yeah remembered on twitter last night that it being 2018 and all makes it that i have a friend who’s been my friend for a decade, and some friends who i’ve at least KNOWN for a decade, since thats when i started college & it took me a year or two to get past acquaintanceship with most people including the ones i’m still in touch with. anyways my college roommate from first semester and i got along well enough to room together the whole 4 yrs lol...great times a decade ago. anyways its funny b/c i didnt keep in touch with the couple of friends i had at 2008 coz they were from school but we never hung out outside school. and the friends not from college i have now are ppl ive started talking to in just the past couple of years, except one friend i met at work who’s great. people who have longtime friends they’ve known forever—get out, its only rotating friends and people you never see

There’s no way I’d be sleep with all of them on my bed. If I tried to I’d probably end up knocking them all on my floor in my sleep. 😂 So before I go to bed I just put them all in a nice neat pile on my floor. I forgot to show you these Asmo!

I actually have a fun little story that goes along with the 😏 pillow! Back when I was still in my good friend got for me for a very big important human realm holiday. (It’s Christmas but I’m assuming they might not really know about that. Idk I could be wrong.) I used to use that emoji a lot in school so it made her think of me. It’s very soft and comfy too, Mam!!

My best friend got me that unicorn plushie along with other presents for our one year friendsversary! We’ve been close for like 3 years now actually. I also received another little kitty plushie in the mail today as well. (A purple little Pusheen.) I think I might have a problem actually with all this. 😂 So Lucy that little “smiling log” is a chocolate bar. I got it from an amusement park a few years ago that is centered around chocolate. (Hersheypark in Pennsylvania.) I also have a little Hershey Kiss and a bigger one.

Well, today is February 5th, 2019. I got a notification from Facebook this morning, as usual a memory thingy. And yeah, something interesting appeared. Today was marked as our 4th Friendsversary~ I was so hesitant to post it or tag you, bcs I don't want to be looked as weirdo or "alay".

For the rest of the day I had superb mellow nostalgia after seeing the notification. I remembered our first-bit-awkward meeting, and the rest of moments that we have for a month. FYI, I always remember February 19th as our special occasion. Yeah, that was our first and *sadly* our last hang out.

4 years already passed...

The memories still linger till now. They stay in my heart and my mind for long time. Time flies so fast indeed. But the feeling doesn't change. The excitement from the past was back again today.

I am so grateful bcs you are one of the reasons for me to keep staying alive till now. Our meeting 4 years ago was strengthen me to stay till this day. So far. I believe it's not a coincidence. Our meeting wasn't a coincidence.

Thank you for becoming a part of my life. You influence me a lot to be a better person. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I hope I can meet you once again,

I hope I can meet you more often,

I hope we can talk more often,

I have not touched on the subject personally (meaning, I truly have not journaled about it as it seems like so much to get down) but I’ve talked to friends, family, etc. And some days are easier than others? And then I have dreams where we talk, whether to apologize or what, and I wake up and my heart kind of sinks. I wake up with the urge to reach out to you. And Facebook reminded me of our friendsversary today. Which isn’t even accurate, but it’s from when we re-added each other after that fallout where I was a pretty bad friend. Hard to believe that was four years ago.

There are days where I wish I would have just fixed it with an I’m Sorry and left it at that, but there are other days where I understand why I did what I did or why I said what I said. Not that I wish it didn’t go differently. I do understand where you were coming from. I hope you can see what kind of place I was in. Some days it just hurts. I had planned so many things to do with you, to see with you, to experience, etc. And I am very much the kind of person who thinks “if we’re meant to be in each others life, we will be” but I’ve also become the person who realizes I can’t bank on that. I can’t live my life hoping that it will happen. It’s just such a weird position I never thought I’d find myself in. I really never thought I’d lose you in my life. The past couple of months (I say couple, I mean 7) have been hard - not because of you, or lack thereof necessarily - but emotionally and mentally draining. These are the times I knew I would turn to you, and I have other people in my life, and I know that, but I think we both knew why we were different for each other. I always hope things are going well for you.

Then, nung lahat ay lasing na. mga may amats na, Ayun, may awayan tuloy na naganap. 

But anyway, ganun naman sa tropa, pero kahit ganun pa man din, sa huli, lagging nagkakaayos ang lahat. 

PS. Naka 100 ang score ko sa karaoke (I sang Huling Sayaw by Kamikazee) and I’m so proud of myself dahil ako pa lang nakaka 100 ever. WAHAHA.

Dear tumblr,

My boo boo reminded me that today was our eight year friendsversary, goodness I hope I spelled that right. Anyways, I’ve been busy with things that I forgotten given the situation.

It’s quite simple how we met. Eight years ago on Facebook before they made drastic changes you could see who liked what on Facebook even if you didn’t know the person. I think he was listed under Stephen Colbert. I saw that he liked Jon Stewart too and hailed from A&M, a school that I took a liking to. I befriended him and reluctantly he accepted. From there it’s been a wild roller coaster ride with twists and turns. He’s been the ultimate friend anyone can ask for. He gives the greatest advice and never sugars coats shit. He’s the perfect listening buddy and tries his best to console. He’s very easy to talk to, you feel comfortable around him and opening up. The best thing about him? His humor. The way he gets slightly miffed if you cockblock him on the price is right. He doesn’t really get angry now, just for fun. When he wins a boat and grunts about it. Him getting angry with the “push ups” lady or Jack and Connie. Hell, the constant Medicare enrollment commercials. Then there’s his love, for family, friends, and his beloved pups. The way he perseveres through his medical condition and doesn’t let it bring him down. His warmth, kindness, loyalty, and hospitality. His extended shoulder to cry on when things get rough or personal tragedy strikes. The way he makes things better during the rough times and makes the good times great. His tight squeeze hugs. The way he makes you feel inside. The butterflies, nervousness, and heart skipping a beat. The loneliness when he’s not around and having to continue on with your life without him.

I love him deathly and cannot begin to thank him for the eight wonderful years that I’ve known him. He’s a bright spot in my day and right now he’s my everything as I get through a tragedy. I hope we have many more years together.
