kyle liked to say that he was smart. he also liked to think he was smart. however, he had definitely dropped the ball this time. it was supposed to be spring now, how the hell was he supposed to expect the temperature would drop like this ? when you wake up to a warm, sunny afternoon━ of course you don't wear a jacket ! but he was ready to accept his mistakes, trembling slightly from the breeze as punishment as he and craig went on their walk.

then he felt fabric drop onto his shoulders━ craig was giving him his jacket. because craig was smart enough to bring one just in case, and kyle was not. he stopped in his steps, starting to shrug it off to hand back to craig.

            ❝ i'm fine ! craig, you're going to get cold. keep your jacket. ❞

fun with veal makes me so emotional. stan wanting to set those poor baby cows free and taking them back one by one.. their lil gang agreeing to stay by stan's side no matter what, standing up to their parents... cartman tanking the veal economy just for stan.. kyle tending so gently to stan's painful sores.. i know when they put their minds to it they can accomplish so much but it's the most kind moments per frame in an episode i think. even liane sending up food and sharon not wanting to deceive stan. friendly faces everywhere, humble folks without temptation

it was almost childlike how giddy kyle got the moment craig said ‘ okay ‘. he’d worry about how pathetic he probably looked another time, he was just happy craig relented as well. kyle really, really didn’t want to have to sit there and beg.

craig was already leaning down, and kyle did his best to straighten himself up and lean up— ease up the work on craig’s end. he sighed softly as he kissed craig back, the slightest of a smile on his lips. it was almost sweet how happy he was just to be kissing the other. as hands were on his hips, kyle draped his arms over craig’s shoulders, starting to stand on his toes. it really would have been easier if they’d been sitting— and kyle probably would have asked of more if it wasn’t for that fact.

but kyle seemed happy even as the kiss ended, dropping back flat on his feet, his hands still resting on craig’s shoulders. he stepped forward into him, pressing his cheek into his chest.

            ❝ yes. very happy. you could at least pretend to like it. ❞ kyle teased from his spot cuddled against him, voice slightly muffled.

   “Aw, come on, I only did that twice,” Craig laughed, swatting Kyle’s accusation off.  “…Okay, three times.”  Maybe four, he didn’t quite remember.

   He could stand to be a little bit less of a douche to Kyle, though.  After all, he did want to kiss him, and it was obvious that his fucking around was quickly going south.  If he pushed it any further, there was a real possibility of this escalating into a fight, so for the sake of keeping things light and breezy, he relented.

   “Okay, fine,” he said, shrugging, smirking.  “I guess you’ve suffered long enough.”  He strode back over to Kyle and cupped his face again, leaning down to place another kiss against his lips.  He made sure to draw it out and linger so that Kyle couldn’t accuse him of drip-feeding him.  As the kiss between them lengthened, Craig slid his hands from Kyle’s face down to his hips, a better anchor to close the gap between them, drawing Kyle toward him until very little space remained.  He had to leave some, on account of their height difference.  This would be much easier if they were sitting down.

   The moment the kiss broke, Craig said, “There, are you happy now, you little bastard?”

kyle wasn't great at cooking. he knew the basics, of course, but he never really needed to cook. his mom handled it, or he indulged in the luxury of take-out food. so when butters invited him over for food, he wasn't quite sure what to expect.

though, butters cooking for him wasn't it. he also didn't expect for butters to call him into the kitchen as he cooked, and ask kyle to help him with the prep. it was simple stuff, chopping up vegetables and such. then butters called him over to the stove where he was cooking, and held out a forkful of what he was working on. to 'get his opinion', is what butters said.

kyle hesitated, but butters insisted. so with furrowed eyebrows, kyle leaned forward and took the bite off the fork. after a moment, he gave a hum of surprise.

            ❝ wow ! that's really good, butters. do you cook like this all the time ? ❞
