Eddie talks about his mom’s Tennessee side of the family like, “yeah my peepaw could play the banjo and my great grand pappy was real good with a fiddle” and Steve’s like “your Who and What”
Eddie: I have to take you to visit, you’re gonna love meemaw’s fried chicken gizzards
Steve: no I don’t think I will
Also I can't decide if southern grandmas would fawn over Steve and pamper him, or if they’d see his Arms and immediately put him to work in the kitchen kneading dough and rolling pie crusts, while he soaks up the best small town gossip. Eddie’s supposed to be helping but he only sits on the counter Watching until he gets swatted back to work with a dish towel

Good Haitian restaurants in Boston?
I (and my husband...so Haitian approved) like Sisters Caribbean in Somerville; their pricing is very reasonable for the mountain of food they give you. Takeout/delivery takes a while, and they don't have dine-in, I don't think.
Au Beurre Chaud Bakery in Mattpan has really good patè and Haitian sweets. They have the patè in puff pastry that I am blanking on the name of in Kreyòl, versus the patè chodye that are deep fried, and their bread is excellent.
Le Foyer Bakery also has really good patè and baked goods. They do good Haitian cakes as well.
I have heard good things about Divine Merci in Mattapan and Sunrise Cuisine in Medford and Malden; both have things on the menu that I haven't seen often in the US, like zizye/chicken gizzards, fwa/beef liver, and beef foot.
The Gourmet Kreyòl food truck in Cambridge is Haitian fusion, and it has tasty food.

Triple Boop!!!
1) What food do you like to eat after a hard day?
2) If you could learn any skill (without having to worry about the price of classes or materials) what would you learn?
3) what is your favorite type of weather?
1) Fettuccine Alfrado or fried chicken gizzards
2) Probably sewing after that would be coding. Currently being my own guinea pig with cooking.
3) I love rainy days, bonus points for thunderstorms. I love to sit in the rain and watch the clouds and the lightning while the rain pours over me. Sadly most of the storms that come through are short and quick.

Watching that post malone last meal episode....
My last meal (sin foods): a boot* of beer with a chirashi sashimi garden studded with caviar dishes, half a bbq eel, enoki wrapped in teriyaki glazed pork, cumin chicken hearts and gizzards, pate du foie gras with ruffle chips and champagne (just elegant), bagna cauda with soft baguette and quadruple anchovies, maybe a little lobster bisque, some venison tartar, a jumbo shrimp ring with cocktail sauce, and a bbq salmon head (small and crunchy, not big and musty), ceviche, cubed pork belly with hoisin dip...maybe some marrow toast...l
*the boot makes it sus
My last meal (nonsin foods): a pitcher of some beer that donates to reforestation (eg cariboo etc) with miso soup, one of those steamed vegetable buns i used to get at long hui, wakame, a big gorgeous caprice salad with organic/local/freerun mozzarella and heavy on the pesto oil drizzle, small charcuterie board of organic/local/freerun cheeses (heavy on the blues) with smoked mussels and different pickled onions etc paired with a local craft vodka, oysters and cherrystones on the halfshell with wine vinegar, lemon, cocktails sauce etc on the side...deep fried brussel sprouts, seitan tacos (soft, heavy on the guac and pico), maduros, frybread with saskatoon berry jammy syrup to dip it in, brioche toast with local organic butter and quince jam from tsaranoro with a bottle of raspberry fresh, congee with 1000 year egg and candied post-spawn salmon

@sometimesrufus:
Being sure to announce himself with his footfalls, Rufus steps up behind Jae and wraps his arms around him. "Distract me?"
"Oh no, not our Head Honcho being beset by ennui..." he muses, patting Shinra's forearm.
"Well, have you eaten? I can take you out somewhere or kick someone off the line in the company cafeteria- Whichever."
He somehow doubted Rufus would be down for the night market in Sector One, the blonde didn't seem like the crispy fried chicken cartilage or grilled gizzard type. The idea of Rufus sitting down from a hearty bowl of chicken foot soup did amuse him, however.
