Redo of my coord for the kei con swap meet! I had finished putting together my review of this dress months ago, all that was missing was a little snip of what the dress looks like when worn.
Im thinking the video should release next week, followed by a video of my experience at Kei Con!
Thanks for reading!

It' Fine Press Friday!
Coat of Art
Wisconsin artist Mark Brueggeman's work, which I have had the privilege of encountering during my internship in Special Collections, captivates with its distinctive artistic vision. This unique piece of art is a portfolio of broadsides inspired by the poem, A Coat, by W. B. Yeats, the first Irish Nobel laureate in literature.
The portfolio was published in Amherst Junction, Wisconsin, at Brueggeman’s Atelier Vermeil Studio in 2016, printed in an edition of 20 copies with Optima 24 type and intaglio and relief prints on Riverpoint paper, a Strathmore paper made at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, where Brueggeman taught for many years.
Mark Brueggeman’s work spans a variety of media, a testament to his versatility and skill. His repertoire includes printing, pastels, intaglio and relief printing, letterpress, and drawing in ink, graphite, and pastel. He earned his undergraduate degree in drawing and painting at the Art Institute of Chicago and his graduate degree in drawing and fiber sculpture at Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville.
Written in 1912, A Coat reflects a period in Yeats’ life when he was attempting to change his writing style. He experimented with various techniques and approaches, constantly striving to enrich and expand his writing. As a result, his poetry underwent numerous transformations, ultimately leading to the creation of his unique voice and style. When it comes to the poem’s meaning, it could refer to anything from Yeats’ own writing style to the futility of war or perhaps something else entirely. One of the most extraordinary things about poetry is that it is open to interpretation, allowing each reader to find their own meaning in the words.

Friday at the Atelier Volume 1: Saury
Tumblr media
With about as weird and abrupt a start as you could imagine, Friday at the Atelier volume 1 is a story that... develops, into a mix between a slice of life and romance only after office worker Emiko Tamaki voices her desire to have a final meal of saury before she chooses to die.
It's eccentric, odd, and it certainly plays into the surreal nature of the world that Tamaki finds herself gravitating towards- but is perhaps a manga that won't find a massive audience over here.
A sort of mixed bag of subdued expectations, this first volume does well to set the tone for the future, and provides would-be readers with a lot of content to take in- which I take about in more detail in the full review at Animehouse.

The saying goes, “Don’t judge a book by its cover.” We prove it every week here on Reader’s Corner, but rarely more so than in this edition, when we show beauty in tengu love; explain how a beautiful and admirable lead does not a good spin-off make; and explain how a provocative title and cover made hide a sweet love story. All that, plus the newest volumes of hit series like Issak, Bocchi the Rock!, and Handyman Saitou in Another World; the final release of the Ningen Fushin manga; and more on this week’s Reader’s Corner!
-----
Apparently, Disillusioned Adventurers Will Save the World (Vol. 6) • Bocchi the Rock (Vol. 4) • Friday at the Atelier (Vol. 2) • The Hachioji Specialty: Tengu’s Love (Vol. 1) • Handyman Saitou in Another World (Vol. 5) • Honeko Akabane’s Bodyguards (Vol. 2) • I Wanna Do Bad Things with You (Vol. 1) • In the Name of the Mermaid Princess (Vol. 3) • Issak (Vol. 9) • Rejected by the Hero’s Party, a Princess Decided to Live a Quiet Life in the Countryside (Vol. 1)

friday’s secret meeting at the atelier - hamada sakura
a depressed, ditzy office worker stumbles into a job as a nude model for an artist with an… unusual motif 🎣
cw: suicidal ideation, tasteful nudity
the couple: he’s a narcissistic eccentric, she’s a passively suicidal airhead. they’re the funniest people in the world. the way she plays the oblivious straight-man to his absolutely pathetic crush brings tears to my eyes
story & setting: without any strong desire to live, she’s willing to strip naked for a stranger in exchange for a fish dinner. believing her to be his fated muse, he’s not willing to let her die. they gradually bring new meaning and purpose into each other’s lives
the art: i appreciate the amount of personality the characters express, especially contrasting his boldness with her serenity for great punchlines. also, his paintings are weird and beautiful and really capture the essence of their relationship as it progresses

"The posters won't help and will make everything worse, what Pac is doing will make Cellbit feel more isolated and go deeper in this path" Pac is fucking traumatized and he is spiraling just as fast as Cellbit. Cellbit's spiral caused Pac to enter his
Pac has literally not slept ever since Friday when he found out. He felt unsafe in his own home. His whole family crumbled in front of his eyes, and now one of the only family members he had left turned back into the monster Cellbit swore that was dead and would never hurt Pac again. He was alone the entire day today, always watching over his shoulder, jumping whenever he thought someone was watching from afar. He kept going into scenarios where Cell was after him and trying to kill him
Pac is not well either. This was his last straw too. His mind is all over the place and he can't even grasp the fact that Cell and Cellbit are one in the same. It has always been this way for Pac, the way his brain deals with his trauma. It blocked away the memory of his leg being eaten and scrambled it to the point Pac thought Felps did it. He can't see Cell and Cellbit as the same individual because his mind literally keeps him from it for his own sanity. Cell is the monster and it died in Alcatraz. Cellbit is his family and one of his son's father and someone he loves and cares for. Cell is back, which means Cellbit is gone
Pac will help Bagi get Cellbit back, but he will run and hide from Cell. In his spiral, a lot of his erratic behavior is magic thinking as he swears the post will do anything and it will keep the monster away. He puts it in his house, he puts it in Bagi's home, he put it in Richas room, he put it in Richas atelier. The monster can't get there now. His family is safe now
Being alone is leaving him with his own tortured and freaked out mind as he flip flops between masterminding ways to get Cell and trap him and making him fear and stay away, and erratically building up walls and hiding in a corner sobbing because he already feels the knife sinking into his neck. He's willing to get himself locked up just to get away from Cell and feel safe even if it means walking into his second worst nightmare that is being in a prison again
Pac can't bring himself to talk to Cell. Definitely not alone. He is too afraid Cell is still angry about the betrayal enough to kill him. Cellbit never meant to hurt his loved ones, okay, but his mere spiral already hurt Pac in so many ways he doesn't even know about yet. Pac was, and always will be, a constant and painful memory of Cellbit's sins, hurting his family
