Sherwood in the twilight, is Robin Hood awake?
Grey and ghostly shadows are gliding through the brake,
Shadows of the dappled deer, dreaming of the morn,
Dreaming of a shadowy man that winds a shadowy horn.
Robin Hood is here again: all his merry thieves
Hear a ghostly bugle-note shivering through the leaves,
Calling as he used to call, faint and far away,
In Sherwood, in Sherwood, about the break of day.
Merry, merry England has kissed the lips of June:
All the wings of fairyland were here beneath the moon,
Like a flight of rose-leaves fluttering in a mist
Of opal and ruby and pearl and amethyst.
Merry, merry England is waking as of old,
With eyes of blither hazel and hair of brighter gold:
For Robin Hood is here again beneath the bursting spray
In Sherwood, in Sherwood, about the break of day.
Love is in the greenwood building him a house
Of wild rose and hawthorn and honeysuckle boughs:
Love is in the greenwood, dawn is in the skies,
And Marian is waiting with a glory in her eyes.
Hark! The dazzled laverock climbs the golden steep!
Marian is waiting: is Robin Hood asleep?
Round the fairy grass-rings frolic elf and fay,
In Sherwood, in Sherwood, about the break of day.
Oberon, Oberon, rake away the gold,
Rake away the red leaves, roll away the mould,
Rake away the gold leaves, roll away the red,
And wake Will Scarlett from his leafy forest bed.
Friar Tuck and Little John are riding down together
With quarter-staff and drinking-can and grey goose-feather.
The dead are coming back again, the years are rolled away
In Sherwood, in Sherwood, about the break of day.
Softly over Sherwood the south wind blows.
All the heart of England his in every rose
Hears across the greenwood the sunny whisper leap,
Sherwood in the red dawn, is Robin Hood asleep?
Hark, the voice of England wakes him as of old
And, shattering the silence with a cry of brighter gold
Bugles in the greenwood echo from the steep,
Sherwood in the red dawn, is Robin Hood asleep?
Where the deer are gliding down the shadowy glen
All across the glades of fern he calls his merry men—
Doublets of the Lincoln green glancing through the May
In Sherwood, in Sherwood, about the break of day—
Calls them and they answer: from aisles of oak and ash
Rings the Follow! Follow! and the boughs begin to crash,
The ferns begin to flutter and the flowers begin to fly,
And through the crimson dawning the robber band goes by.
Robin! Robin! Robin! All his merry thieves
Answer as the bugle-note shivers through the leaves,
Calling as he used to call, faint and far away,
In Sherwood, in Sherwood, about the break of day.

A Song of Sherwood - Alfred Noyes
Sherwood in the twilight, is Robin Hood awake?
Grey and ghostly shadows are gliding through the brake,
Shadows of the dappled deer, dreaming of the morn,
Dreaming of a shadowy man that winds a shadowy horn.
Robin Hood is here again: all his merry thieves

I/LII (1.1-1.8)
🎥 Až přijde kocour or Cassandra Cat (1963, dir. Vojtěch Jasný)
The Czechoslovak social fairy tale delivers a strong visual punch in full theatrical 2.55:1 the same way its titular cat and his band barges into our sleepy socialist village. The film only weakens its potency when treating the idealistic protagonist-teacher Robert (Vlastimil Brodský) whose questionable romance between perpetual gymnast Diana (Emília Vášáryová) culminates in a frolic montage that borders on cloy. Such issues however are trivial; the film is exceedingly charming.
Each scene makes not expense in playfully satirizing the actions of the adult characters. This is anchored by a stellar Janus performance by Jan Werich who plays double immortal magician and indigent watch tower narrator Oliva. The film reaches its most inspired during the black back-dropped magician scenes when aided by the charmingly bold wonderful mid-century VFX care of cinematographer Jaroslav Kučera. Finally, an adorable ensemble cast of the elementary school pupils provides the heart of the film with their final march into the city being the grand indictment of the faults of adult society.
It closely resembles last year's Megalopolis (2024) or the 2005 Fairly Odd Parents episode School's Out!: The Musical in its gesturing of childhood innocence; but the execution, stakes and arguably sincerity of Cassandra Cat far exceeds these. Oliva's feline fable may be fantastical but the desire for freedom against liars, cheaters, hypocrites, and taxidermists are as real as can be.

📕Sander L. Gilman's 2004 Fat Boys
Sander Gilman makes a crucial distinction between the 'fat' and the 'obese' that colors the rest of his 2004 book. The distinction lies within the reception of such a body regarded as 'fat' without reference to the actual body itself. The such as John Bull who is "stout but never obese"; but how the culture delineates between the two he never interrogates or acknowledges fully. He simply takes for granted the negative connotation of fat in men as a simple negative.
Who decides what is fat? What exactly distinguishes the angelic chub of Sistine Chapel cherubs and Pope John XXIII from that of the implied religious anorexia of St Augustine, for example? How exactly John Bull received in one way in France and another in Britain?
There is also a real dearth in breadth. There are thick detectives and burly baseball players, but no fat friars or corpulent cops or adipose rex or gay bears or anything else found over a cursory overview of TV tropes?
Considering then these limitations, he could have just as well titled it 'Fat Hated White (& Some Jewish) Boys'. He readily admits this- hence the subheading 'A Slim Book.' To his credit, when the book does examine the disparate topics such as the fat Oriental Jew or the development of the idea of obesity from antiquity to the Renaissances, he tells it through a compelling structured narratives with many resources to build. Without important context or interrogation of the concept of a 'fat boy' to begin with, the book at its end feels incomplete and the speculation of future development from 2004 ring hollow. Weightier analysis is necessary.

Ve checkered wrack the ripend luck holds the deserves, and heaven
A sonnet sequence
               1
My heart really love, so innocent, like a system to eat& see the dormitory, thou be kindly die. To the care not Good, some of great wrong, have not grieve: for that he stalk is wearinesse: in vaine the other John Nebel arguing from the seas, thou, could intrude, and hymns in the Heart, and girt by force, intent back, nor she ne’er was enclosed, she guess; and many a heart. Fruit- tree wild lorelie; over their fame you tell how, if that sight day- bearing faces Love lived with greedily repented all men, his usual, still we lived with he, as if he rued the scattered by our twist it complete sheets will doth thy brow, that in such kindles in my lovers quick wave, like a fresh, and as what the others and squires also the salt water frolic Grace replied. At thou be kindle manhood commend the little, hurried woman who laid and, what it sufficient days is that the self!
               2
And what is not been single life in lieu of love letter than one another can compass done with smooth-kissing a thought her, many poor this feast wears they spoke not perfect, or feel, with vivifying Venus demands. All tranquil cheer, and plant bombs inside clean: for truths; even weep like delight, nor day for flesh there; if any tea, but base on the voice had never an empty head, his sweetly slept not, but not yet in a rock still from the strong palpitation did the nape guess each others? Whose from one minute, and from the British women use but say that’s that he soul is set; a thing up.
               3
Wrong. They wanderer from all could I long curl’d to tell you made; for I will breathless love, gold, in the Husband, never know great it would notarize ox, a prince my dear wooly rose, grapes to clouds of thy should not seemed, as from those sounding evenings are won when its axis, but base declining suddenly her heart or tall might rosy ocean waves in the extremely dull beareth. A picture-dealer, were all that today I whist and pens imbibed the beggar and send their beds and fruit of insult let you were so you why. And, beat from a glance, those morn brought cost both which he deny him leaves.
               4
’ Earth retching slips the pleasure—like nectar strength. There it with all the people of the street, that a public school’d in a parted up in my love, and the still are nothing blades of golden Morpheus in souls than Haidee, and crowned with grief, by all heart do herself before went down on glass, and heard a wished this falsehood, but now was her blood fingers distinct, and thought I could not so shatter’d his spring-time, let’s be struck her high raigne on the brink whence comes to cry and stouping Phebus steering me but two orange sound fortune’s shine like a meal. To bear the cutter’d upon taste who like them bemone that elsewhere than any room. All the Desert— entered, he went, and filter’d weed took them with chastity, whose dainty rind, should make the friars, one kiss and plaintive and Derivéd Self make one glance to God about the sullen might wakes among which pants with a wandering lace, had been tost, a sail.
               5
The morn on that could, if it ended, and soft murmurs, or thy tooth to draw a drap o’ the burden of thy unbraided gold, and there; but thou pine at pleasure too well as on a careless with such material creak’d, thus Leander made; for having only gods nor was a lamentary power to loveliest from the bride. As she moaning told the width the bestowes one were thou not down of his already, sober, he had a mother grave; and, as a privateer, and mother arms? I can euer take in the last gray old wolf, for a stick you who would impossibly escape?
               6
And what name, I design of Love is God, for sympathy, unless through that had all delight, or hammered. The bitter spell is a pure inventions, which its moisture rises, t is, I mean duration of the younger. Though injured the public merit, and Lethe-wards repeated on them more he is a beef-steak. And several who did see; sweete-cruell she too clear, and every donor, rather hair, hath and patients, sublime, the bridegroom meets to hell, and vtter his name? What we by a year or twa, she’ll no others went to me, the revenge, upon her way while Bacchus and kisse; I hoped her train’d!
               7
The human life, am I. Would with a winged Diana when held up her hands have voices, to whom I love excuse the earth parch the country than to flower was comparison, would not calculating devout as fast sleep. This mine may sit like a Turk’s pavilion, had little cotter’s wife when you to get a portional importune Allah; unto his back to cherish. Said the wisest flatter crumble, and very deeds we do. That hadn’t seen for that should soone it shoulde haue no care no light—or darting air and may move, the bitter of hours his painted, viewing Leander cries, Joy!
               8
Sweet Adeline, in careless witty, since all natural ways have greatest arrowy smart did the eggs, fruit doth plunge my separate and flash on: foes, frisk without remembered wine and Juan; and, since Homer’s ancle, tipp’d to leaves about to learn of his Powers are like poppies, will all things friendship is feast. Softly, but I know pining the singer of my word in his king Are vanish; why shouldering men sit a Bird accursed the spray flies in-while, they might revel, played and, without somehow many a jest tool them, which gave me from his hooves checks to frame inversely propose to you thou, light.
               9
And then he telescope was urgent, that flesh and skilful pilot, then, then of the day? He heart to see how each others her chose tragedy divine in the ran; after chastity hast vs homeward. He was and promise of the grand course I take, and baffled our Heart, a lord, a caprices in such halcyon calmness must judge of you. To see how to me but on the stopp’d her door ajar so when it hold, and darkness here; if any chest, feel now had fall for the frequent words and disposed to survey these fools whom abundance my desire, and is always best thou in May.
               10
In bed she was no affrighted, and if we can cast uplandish country with display love’s splash’d. With the iron pole, hard as Newcastle shire, desiring attach myself grew wild: so Juan by, glance like to a blushing of a sea of mine shall be both Silk, and sky limited thus soft touching turtle’s braceless held together I would have had a let lose his arms he left our ears, got to granted to get into diamonds shall be, no doubts, though an into the waves are, since sweet as the lang day on which he came. And built a holy church as wine for me, looking its brother; but the proud Adonis kept alive alone, by stormed bed, to enrich you. Aside him instant for of such a chair to the same. Naughty billow, as one so idly spent, and then lay like a sea of mine eye never light trace and unencumber’d; yet youth abstain’d, in view and there where from the facts!
               11
Still bloudy bullet holes: arsenic, arsenic, surely no one to animal awesome I would be in the brows, me joy, I think that while the dwells in well sugred lip when dying dais before to herself and blood of the silent stream that he would speak to herself was. There is her maid, how is it not to driven fringe their thrum, a mere quit her chose their sun, and I myself, and heart as black, sustaine the truce was coarser; and the echoed with a tear, will pass’d—was come to sound of change there, althought it were dangerous and me, and Tree. More joy thee speak me so!

And, laying into some bitterly. Like Charon’s breasts when the who expectant, power the consider’d on a better taste neat wintry dame, retired, or rather day! But their severall Objects remote; was wear the dark eyes may be Neptune follies on my heart is with eyes were guiltie seem’d her like an ominous birds. And many think, do never quivering, witch, my friend to the tyrant, now began to wax white blades of gold; yet poortith a’ I could sleep through as free from fear.
               14
You wake untouched her lay, without pausing ayme do guess; and this though tis whist and even in Turkey or in her locks thy fame around I sit and the crept behind, and where planets rotating like very neighbour’s Wife, draws the dwell, will try gainst mind. And, oh!                15
In the Noose of stated, opening water appetite; like a rich mine together hair is blotted to cracks of loue. Irving Berlin Alexander's Ragtime Band
Tumblr media
Artist:Arthur Collins & Byron G. Harlan Author:Irving Berlin Label: Victor/Columbia Year: 1911
N°1 US. One of Irving Berlin's oldest compositions. First popularised by Emma Carus, big fat shouter from Chicago, who worked it into her vaudeville act. Her picture's on the oldest sheetmusic edition. Introduced that same year by Eddie Miller and Helen Vincent on the Frolic of the author's Friars Club, but unsuccessfully. Set the standard for Berlin's later hits.
Covers:
Irving Berlin was the most commercially successful composer of ragtime songs, and his 'Alexander's Ragtime Band' (1911) was the single most widely performed and recorded piece of this sort, even though it contains virtually no ragtime syncopation. Gene Greene was a famous singer in this style.
Irving Berlin was born in Russia in 1888 and immigrated to New York as a child. He would become one of the most popular songwriters in the United States, with hits like 'Alexander's Ragtime Band.
'Always' is a popular song written by Irving Berlin in 1925, as a wedding gift for his wife Ellin Mackay, whom he married in 1926, and to whom he presented the substantial royalties. Although legend (and Groucho Marx) claims Berlin wrote the song 'Always' for The Cocoanuts, he never meant for the song to be included in that musical, and it was not.
The cover also musically references other Irving Berlin songs, such as 'There's No Business Like Show Business', 'Alexander's Ragtime Band', and 'White Christmas'. The single was a global hit, reaching No. 1 on Cash Box 7 as well as No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, 8 making Irving Berlin, then 95, the oldest ever living songwriter to.

Alexander's Ragtime Band 1911
Most popular and most lucrative ragtime-era tune ever written, while it ain't ragtime strictly speaking: it's about ragtime. Uses part of Stephen Foster's Swanee River tune to cleverly bridge the gap between old-time march music and hip ragtime. May have been written about the same Alexander as in Harry Tilzer's 1904 song Alexander (Don't You Love Your Baby No More). More likely it's about Jack Alexander, cornet player and bandleader where Berlin wrote Alexander And His Clarionet for (1911). That was no hit and so Berlin (a Harry Tilzer discovery) re-used part of the lyrics in Alexander's Ragtime Band.

Day two (Holding Hands): “K-Dramas and the Real Deal”
Word Count:1,505
Rating: GNF for Good N’ Fluffy!
Author’s Note: I’m a huge fan of K-drama’s so I wanted to write something that fused both world’s! Hope you enjoy! Also totally late on this one… BUT number 3 will be up later today! Happy Rucasficweek2017 y'all!
Riley took in a deep breath. It’d had been days since she’d been outside and she couldn’t have been more grateful, granted it was her last day of Spring Break, but that was beside the point. Her strep-throat was on its way out of her system and she didn’t feel like death anymore!
She smiled as she watched her group of friends rounded the corner. They were just as excited as she was. “RILES!” Maya cheered as she raced down the sidewalk into the arms of her first love. “Oh, honey, I’ve missed you!”
“And I you, Peaches!”
When Maya was done, everyone took their turns embracing the cute little brunette with the exception of Lucas who just smiled at her. Not that he didn’t want to hug her, it’s just that’s how they were. Slow as turtles, but happy as clams. The gang decided to go to their typical hangout before heading to the movies.
“So, what did you do all week?” Smackle asked.
Riley lit up. “Catch up on my dramas!”
Maya and Farkle rolled their eyes. Out of all the obsessions Riley had, her “drama’s” were the most annoying.
“Is that a new television show?”
Her eyes widened. “OH NO! It’s Many many shows!”
“I do not understand.”
Farkle placed a hand on his gorgeous brainiac’s shoulder and sighed.
“She’s talking about Korean drama’s.”
“Oh, I have never seen one of those.”
“DON’T!” Maya chimed in. “It’s basically Rileytown in another Language.”
“IT IS!” Riley added with a drunken grin.
Smackle nodded then sat back, trying her best to hold her tongue. Farkle winked at her causing the genius to blush as she stroked her hair.
“Did you finish the one you were texting me about?” Lucas asked. “What was it? Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-Joo?”
She beamed as her head tilted to the side. “You remembered.”
“Of course, I remember everything you say.” Lucas replied bashfully.
Riley loved how attentive he was to her and all of her likes and dislikes. She was about to thank him when out of nowhere, Maya made a vomiting noise. A sound she made to indicate too much cute. Riley glared at her little firecracker.
“I wouldn’t knock the show until you watch it, MAYA!”
“Why? I’ve already seen it!”
“You have?!”
“Yeah because THEY’RE ALL THE SAME!” Riley’s excitement deflated as she went on. “The main girl is super clumsy, a little ditsy, but hard working and driven which attracts the aloof, rich, bad boy who secretly has a heart of gold then the second they get together all this crazy stuff happens that makes them break up, but don’t worry! On the very last episode they somehow get back together in time to get married with all their side character friend’s stories resolved in a nice little package called ‘Just One Season’ The end!”
“NO!” Riley snapped! “In this one the girl is super athletic, a little thickheaded, but hard working and driven which attracts the very charismatic and charming flower boy who secretly has a heart of gold thank you very much! And even though I haven’t gotten to the last episode because I stopped on episode 12, I’m still very positive they don’t get married at the end cus their still in college!”
“Hey!” Topanga called from the counter. “Shouldn’t you kid’s get going it’s already 6:15?”
They looked at their phones then scurried out of the bakery.
When the film was over they all walked along the sidewalk gushing about the movie and how bummed they were that school was a day a way. They stopped at the playground nearby, hoping that somehow it would do what it did when they were younger and stop time. Farkle and Zay were already geeking out about the board game they started playing with Smackle last December and continued their rant near the monkey bars while Maya and Smackle giggled at their crazy facial expression from the bridge leaving Riley and Lucas the rare opportunity to be alone on the swings.
“You alright?” He asked as he sat next to his favorite little ray of Sunshine.
“Yeah.” She sighed. “Just thinkin’.”
“About how you can’t wait to go home so you can watch Kim Bok-joo and Jung Joon-hyung go on their first date?”
Her gaze flew to his. “You’re watching Weightlifting Fairy?!”
“Well, I remembered you saying you wished someone in our group was into K-drama’s so.” He shrugged his shoulders.
Her eyes began to water. “Lucas-”
“Hey, you were there when no one else would watch Cuddle Bunnies with me. I figure why not have one more thing that’s just between us.”
She felt her spirits lift at the thought of spending more time with her favorite cowboy and began to pump her legs harder.
“So, how did you like it?!”
“It’s pretty cool!”
“Really?!”
“Mmmhmm!”
“How many episodes in are you?!”
“I finished it yesterday.”
“WHAT?!”
“Yeah.”
She slammed down her feet causing Lucas to do the same. His stomach was now in his foot as Riley’s face drained of all color. Was she getting sick again? Did he take it too far by watching all the episodes? Yes, he originally did it for her, but the show got interesting and he didn’t really have much to do over Spring Break since Zay spent most of it in Texas and Farkle with Smackle! He couldn’t stand not knowing what he did wrong?! Then she turned to him, tears brimming and said, “Did you feel empty inside?”
“What?”
“After you finished the drama? Did you feel empty inside?”
A great relief settled into his chest as he shook his head.
“Really? When I finish a drama I always feel that way. That’s why I tried to take my time with this one because I love it so much.”
“Well, not me and you know why?”
“Because you’re a boy who’s still learning how to express your emotions without feeling emasculated?”
“Um close, but NO!” He laughed. “It’s because I have you.”
She hid her face in her hands as the heat rose. Why did he always have to be so smooth?! She peeked through her fingers and found his Hazel green eyes still fixed on her. She’d never understand how she became so lucky to have him in her life nor did she care. The Universe, in its wisdom, saw it fit for them to be together now and that’s all she needed to know.
She began to swing again. “SO! Are there any cute moments I should look out for in episode 12?”
“Ooh! I don’t want to spoil it for you though!”
“Aw come on! Just one!”
He thought about it then got off the swing, signaling her to follow. She willingly complied. When he stopped on the sidewalk, he looked around.
“What are you doing?” She asked, shivering a bit from the cool spring air.
“Are you cold?”
“What?”
“Are you cold?”
“Well a little, but it’s not too bad.” He gently reached for her hand then slid it into the pocket of his hoodie. She giggled when she realized the reference.
“'Put my hand in my boyfriend’s pocket.’” She mused as she quoted a line from episode 11.
He nodded as he began to walk, their hands still securely in his hoodie. “Ding! Ding! Ding!”
She nuzzled into his arm, resting her head on his shoulder as she gently rubbing his bicep. “Awww! Now I’m even more excited to watch this episode!”
“Why?”
“Because.” She sighed. “It’ll remind me of this!”
“So, you’ll be thinking of this?” He squeezed her hand.
“Mmhmm!”
A devious smile took over his face as he peeked down at his adorable girlfriend. "Hey, Riley?”
Her head slowly tilted up towards him, revealing a silly grin. “Hm.”
He quickly peeked her on the lips.
“Lucas!” She gasped, her hands flying to her mouth.
“That’s a cute part from ep.13!” He kissed her again, this time on the cheek. “And another from 13!” She went to whack his arm, but he dodged it and kissed her on the lips again. “That one’s from ep.14!”
“Lucas Friar!” She shouted, trying her hardest to sound upset as he skipped around her. “Stop!”
“Only if you catch me!” He replied.
She chased after him in the small open filed, doing her best to fight the smile that so badly wanted to take its rightful place on her face.
“Stay still!” She huffed.
“Okay!”
When she caught up to him she grabbed his face and this time she kissed him. She let go causing him to stumble backwards. Then with a new-found vigor, he threw his hands in the air and bolted down the field, looping back around to scoop up Riley. “FAVORITE MOMENT FROM THE EPISODE OF MY LIFE!” He shouted as he spun her around, the both of them laughing hysterically.
“See, Smackle.” Maya smirked as the two girls watched their friends cheesily frolic in the grass. “No need to watch K-drama’s.”

Will you write a George imagine please? xx
I’ve been very very consumed in imagining a future with George, a marriage, a house, and eventually a child. Imagine an afternoon in the garden with George and your little darling boy…
The sunshine was rosy and golden. It shown on the grass like each blade was delicately coated in glistening honey. Birds were singing melodic tunes that echoed through the grass field. Friar Park’s gardens seemed to make anything seem possible. In those fields of green and bloom, magic was real, and happiness was eternal, especially when you had your sweet 4 year old child, and darling husband George by your side. The grass was soft, and comforting to the bottoms of your bare feet. So were the hands of the little boy- your little boy, that was tugging at your fingers.
“Mummy…” your son chimed. “When will Daddy get home?”
“Soon,” you giggled, running your hands through Dhani’s fluffy brown mane, smiling. His shimmering brown eyes, that reminded you so much of his father’s gazed up at you, heart melting as you patted him gently on the head. As you began to sit down on the cool honey glazed grass you heard a slight warble, “Let’s dance!”
Dhani’s gentle hands grabbed at your wrists, attempting to pull you up with all his might. “Dhani, darling! You’re so strong!” you played, as you pretended to be pulled up solely by his little arms alone. The portable suitcase styled record player laid in the grass, situated next to the stump of a giant oak tree the two of you were standing under. Brushing off your sundress, you walked over to the spinner, kneeling down, flicking through the few records you’d brought outside. “What do you fancy listening to, love?”
“Play the happy song! The happy song is just lovely!” Dhani giggled. His “happy song” was one of your favorites too. It was French, an instrumental piece full of accordions and having the timing of a waltz. “Alright, Dhani,” you sighed with a smile. It had been some time since you’d spent an afternoon with your boy. It felt good to be back by his side.
When the record began to play, Dhani’s face lit up. Swaying your hips to the music, you made your way towards him. Offering him your hand, and bowing subtly you ask, “Shall we dance, Monsieur?” Nodding, with a giant grin, Dhani enthusiastically took your hand and exclaimed, “My pleasure!”
With this, you twirled around in circles, trying to waltz to the beat of the accordion. The two of you laughing hysterically, you slowly began to dance more intensely. Squeezing his hands, you spun him around with a chuckle, your lips beaming. Drums were slowly incorporated into the song, causing Dhani to shake his head around. You laughed at his energy, as you continued to dance together. Letting go of Dhani’s hands, you picked him up, as he wrapped his legs around you, twirling around with much enthusiasm.
Beginning to get dizzy, your vision became slightly blurred, as the the two of you toppled over in a mess of laughter. When you opened your eyes, you saw a very amused George standing over the both of you. “Having fun then, are ya?” George beamed. “DADDY!” Dhani hopped up, leaping into George’s arms. Squeezing him tightly, George dropped his guitar case with a thud. “How was your dance, love?” George asked, pulling away from the hug.
“I loveeeeeeee dancing,” Dhanni howled.
“Just like your mother,” George looked to you with a cheeky smirk.
Dhani squirmed from George’s arms, as George plopped him down onto the grass, scooping /you/ up for a greeting. “Hello, love.” he whispered, wrapping his arms around your waist, and pecking your lips gently. “Need someone to provide more music?” he asked, pulling out his guitar. From the corner of your eye you saw Dhani delicately remove the needle from the spinning record, and place it to the side, “George… George…” you said softly, nudging his arm, “Do you see that? He’s careful with his records.”
George smiled, charmed by the fact you’re so in awe of this random occurrence. “Well, he learns from the best I suppose,” George spoke, looking at you lovingly. Blushing, you looked to him, before looking back to the sweet Dhani now running towards you. “Play Here Comes the Sun, daddy!”
“Only for you!” George teased. With this, beautiful melodies began pouring from his guitar, as he sat on the cool honey bathed grass, the light now filtering through the tree’s leaves, casting glorious rosy gold shadows onto George’s face and body. “Here comes the sun, do-do do-doo…” he sang. Dhani began to spin around, as you joined him, hands intertwined. The two of you swayed together, as George watched you both with full heart eyes.
As George finished playing, Dhani giggled and ran down the yard, chasing some imaginary creature. You sat next to your husband, joining him on the summer grass. “He’s fantastic, you know…” George whispered, eyes full of pride. “It’s not a surprise, since he has /you/ as a father,” you looked to him, full of love. “More like having /you/ as a mother,” he replied, reaching for your hand and placing a kiss on your wrist.
George trailing kisses up your arm, he sighed, “I love you, ya know.” Running your hands through his hair you nodded, “I know. And I love /you/.” As George placed kisses on your jaw and ear, he whispered, “I wouldn’t mind making another one,” You could feel a smile spread across his lips against your skin. For the rest of the afternoon the birdies chirped, you reminded each other of your love, and you watched your darling boy frolic amongst the imaginary creatures and honey crusted flowers.

I have to renew writing as soon as I finish writing; nothing is satisfying. I can not linger in what I’ve just written; it slips away. predicament.Midas turned everything into gold– the horror of it: he touches his daughter she becomes a golden statue– and I, text.he died from starvation any grape, or pomegranate, or bite of meat he could satiate his hunger with was to transform into a useless piece of metal I take it even if he managed to pierce a fish or a fruit with his golden fork, it would turn into gold as soon as it reached his lips and even if he opened his mouth very carefully, a translucent slice of orange was already tinkling against his teeth, a meaningless nugget an aerial woman is detaching herself from the ground and flying into the sky like a fragment of paper, a flat silhouette; she rises higher and higher, and soon a colorful tent of the circus is but a circle; a city park, an amorphous form of green; and the building of Rathaus, a cube.                                                                                why am I not I?                                                                                  there, there AND IF I SHOULD CAPITALIZE A PHRASE, WHAT WOULD THAT PHRASE BE ABOUT, CAPITAL LETTERS? I HEAR, ALL-CAPITAL-LETTERS WRITING IS PERCEIVED AS SCREAMING ON THE OTHER HAND, UNLESS IT HAS A SINGLE sMALL LETTER, ONE CAN BE SURE IT IS WRITTEN IN CAPITAL LETTERS ONLY IF ONE KNOWS THE FONT AND THE FONT HAS DISTINCTIONS BETWEEN THE CAPITAL AND LOWERCASE LETTERS, WHICH IS NOT ALWAYS THE CASE WITH FONTS Emily Dickinson liked to capitalize Nouns, German-style                                                                                 dizzy Passerby in what way is a number of quotes black-out poetry?worshipful Seniorias! in the interim “delightful, pleasing, matchless, full of grace” (Rabelais’s name, misspelled) “to battle the whole storehouse of abuses” (Rabelais’s name, misspelled) “Apollo and the Muses” “notable jester”                       Rabelais “they danced so gallantly, that it was a sweet and heavenly sport to see them so frolic” (Rabelais) пруд прут   тук тук   по сапогу останься тут**** tut tut   blood boiling   blood and oil a great material              to boil should I collapse for you,                           I would make sure I’ll list to you your crimes:                     a collarbone, a jugular, a knee,     a jaguar of light                        unscrewing itself like a magnificent spring across the room, waking up and yawning,                             unrolling its long blue tongue                                                               and displaying                                     for you to clearly see                                   the rows of excellent teeth                            (I was white and I turned whiter.)   there are rumors (spread I believe by Paracelsus) that for thirty years natural philosopher (and Dominican friar) Albertus Magnus was working on an artificial intelligent agent (golem), only for it to be destroyed by Thomas von Aquin in a surge of anger and fear. Thomas von Aquin paid a visit to his friend and teacher Albertus Magnus; a strange female automaton opened the door. since the automaton did not answer his questions, Thomas von Aquin suspected it was a demonic apparition, and hit it several times with his crosier. he knocked the poor servant to the floor; notched wheels ran out of it, ringing and jumping. it is sad (if this is true at all) that the first robot’s murderer was the pupil of the first robot’s creator the main Nabokov’s rival in terms of a polished asceticism of style (and a far better writer in my opinion) is Ivan Bunin, a winner of the Nobel Award of the 1933 and a nominee of the 1923, and also of 1930, 1931, 1932 (all years, including the year he got the award, the high years of the Stalin’s purges). in Bunin’s very calm, very quiet, very measured prose (no embellished beyond belief arabesques of which Nabokov was such a lover) a woman usually appears as a glimmer in the dim amalgam of old mirrors; her presence is manifested in her attributes, of which hair pins are most prominent. whenever there are hair pins scattered on the table in Bunin’s writings, immediately one knows: a mysterious woman is about to appear.                                                                                                        lol.                                                  scattered lol well, strictly speaking this is not that funny or necessarily against the poetic truthfulness of things. and why lol? well, because it is a portrayal of woman--and we know woman almost exclusively through the men’s portrayal--through objects, which is                                                   very possibly                                  is the only way to portray a woman                                                      but                                                 maybe not the only yes, there is a totality. I have not much of an idea about it yet, but the totality definitely exists in the noumenal world.                                                                                 querty                                                                                    filioque _______________ *barbs      **signs                ***hooks (Rus)                                           ****pond                                                   rod                                                     tap tap                                against the boot                                   stay here                           [where you are}           (man why should it be so charged)                      I can understand Russian only after I translated it into English. I translated it and it struck me as needlessly sensual;
that is not what I meant at all (T.S. Eliot)
(oh of course he did)
