Romanov Wedding Wrap-Up

I still haven’t been able to identify these three people or their tiaras.  I saw even more tiaras in the background of other people’s videos but I gave up trying to get a decent picture of them so there’s definitely still a lot more missing.

I didn’t mention it this weekend but this was Infanta Maria Francisca’s tiara debut!!!  I know not everyone liked the tiara but I thought it was very appropriate for a young princess of a former monarchy’s first tiara and she’ll have time later to wear the bigger Portuguese pieces.

Princess Yasmine Murat posted another photo of her traditional Algerian tiara and an explanation of her outfit on Instagram.  She called it a Jbiin, I’ve seen others call it a Jebin, and @freshhazelnut called it ​AlJubain​ and provided some pictures here.  I’m assuming those are all different ways of transliterating the same word from Arabic script but Google has not been helpful.  I like the use of mixed metals in the design.

On a personal note, this weekend really made me appreciate you all here on Tumblr.  I’ve been trying to post Tiara Alerts and things more on other social media and I’ve learned that other people are just straight up mean.  I get negative comments here sometimes but they are nothing compared to the comments on Instagram.  Here people usually keep it to the tiara itself or their personal preferences for clothes/jewelry/hairstyle but over there people say awful things about the actual people in the post.  I’ve had to delete so many terrible comments and the part that gets me the most is that on Instagram especially the person featured in the Tiara Alert can easily see it.  Like all Infanta Maria Francisca has to do is click the tag of her name which doesn’t have very many posts in it to see the things these people are saying.  Anyway, I love you guys.

Also, about the comment I got, when I mentioned the union being Islamists I meant the heads of the union and not the ppl because I don’t object women protesting nor women wearing scarfs but I object the heads of this union. I have always said that Jordan is actually better (in terms of women’s rights I meant @freshhazelnut, I know Jordan is not perfect when it comes to women’s rights but you gotta admit it’s at least better than the Gulf in this regard) compared to most of its neighbors from the Gulf and some other Arab countries & the ruling class is successful in the sense of keeping Jordan stable. However, in the whole picture, I gotta say that’s not much considering how the economy has been terrible for years & the government still hasn’t fixed the rampant corruption.

I can’t comment too intelligently on the gov’s handling of the pandemic. They do what they can with a very unfavourable environment. The pandemic is harder for poorer countries as they don’t have much leverage to impose a stricter lockdown because that would really hurt the economy. I do think Jordan did what it could do but at the same time, I don’t think I will forget how the rich people constantly broke lockdown rules, with the famous example of Prince Nayef’s engagement, that was extremely offensive & an obvious violation of social gathering quota. Plus, with the way how government officials and the royals wear their face masks wrongly, Jordan’s health ministry just doesn’t look very professional IMO.

@freshhazelnut There are parts of her communications with Jason where it’s pretty clear she wrote it with public consumption in mind.  she told Jason that she was meticulous and her word choice in case it got leaked, that she intentionally did not end any pages on a full sentence in case it got leaked she didn’t want it to look as if that could be the end of the letter, she said that she called her father daddy so that I would tag on the heartstrings of anyone else who read it, and most importantly she even said that she would be happy for people to read it because it voiced what she wasn’t allowed to say.

And then she essentially baited her father into releasing it by allowing her friends to speak about the letter and completely misrepresented the situation.

Honestly, with how much thought she put into thinking about potential leaks, I kind of think that she wanted it to be leaked & that this was all a plan because she wanted to sue a ANL. Then when her father didn’t leak it she let her friends do the interview so that she could bait her dad into doing it so that then she could turn around and see a ANL.

Like… her father is the one who had her private letter in his possession and handed it over to a tabloid. Why isn’t she suing him? Why didn’t her lawyers issue some sort of cease and desist? Because her dad has no money and he’s not the target. ANL (actually Daily Mail and General Trust) has a value of nearly £2billion.

Also, I find it interesting - & didn’t know until I looked this up - that the Chairman w/ controlling interest of DMGT is a peer, the 4th Viscount Rothmere. His great-grandfather started The Daily Mail.

This lawsuit is about the damn letter. The emails Jason released legit revealed she knew it was going to be public and that was what she wanted. So hows that not proof of she purposely lied?

Exactly. She knew it would be released. She wrote it basically planning that it would be released. And she lied about all of it. And got caught in multiple lies.

I don’t see how she wins the appeal AND avoids a perjury charge.

No idea fresh hazelnut comes from that kind of shell! Everything was super fresh, especially their figs(though not seen in the picture;;;). Bought 5 figs, paid £7.60 around. Yeah, a bit expensive but no regrets at all. Fresh, organic, real vivid colours mean that they're perfectly nutritional and delicious(and both we loved them!!!!!). @freshhazelnut I never talked about the Rose rumor once, in fact it had nothing to do with what I posted. What was the point of bringing this up? So many of y’all talk like the Rose rumor really ruined W&Ka reputation it didn’t, Goodbye, find a new angle it may work in the echo chamber but it won’t work here.
