I used to be really good at capturing the moment. I wanted to be a photographer.(Still do) When I was a teenager I was always that girl with the camera. I took thousands of photos; of my friends mostly. We all looked so happy, drunk, partying all the time, being young and never even taking a minute to think about anything else. As I’ve grown older and stronger in my practice I feel as if Ive lost that ability to capture a moment. At least, when I do, it’s never good enough, the picture never does the experience any justice, so I just delete it. These days I am more of a, “live in the moment” kind of Being. I still strive to capture these memories and store them away but I worry less about it now because I know that these memories are already safely stored for eternity.
