“You’re the hardest working person I’ve ever met.” —Robert “Chaos” Durborow I’ve been accused of being too intense. From my perspective I’m just filling a void that no one else is willing to fill. I’ve been accused of being mentally ill. The people who have put that label on me I will admit are not without basis, but as I really started to break down what they said, I realized that it was coming from people who don’t really care about me, who don’t know what it’s like to show up for themselves—much less me—-and who I personally don’t really care much for. I probably wouldn’t piss on their face if it were on fire. So how much weight should I really give to the opinions of people I don’t give a fuck about, who don’t pay my bills and won’t be there to help me sort out my struggles—something that will now and always has been 100% me vs. me? They are right in one regard though. I AM insane when it comes to how far I will go for the small handful of people on this planet I do legitimately love and care about. I AM deranged in the lengths I will go to protect and care for the tiny parcel of human beings I value out of the billions who walk the earth. I’m not a Christian, but I will go to a cross for my people. I AM sick in the walls I will kick down, the mountains I will climb and the monsters I will fight for the people I love.
