ROBOCRAFT 2 battles have sights on support
ROBOCRAFT 2 robot building PVP combat game due to get Linux support later after Windows PC. This is once again coming to players thanks to developer Freejam. Which is working to make its way onto Steam Early Access. Nearly ten years have passed since Freejam released their first-ever public alpha for the robot-building online PVP game ROBOCRAFT. During those ten years, 16 million players built, drove and fought online against others in epic robot battles. Freejam is planning to re-energize the franchise for those 16 million players. Due to capture a whole new generation of creators, engineers, and fighters. Doing so in an explosive and ambitious sequel, ROBOCRAFT 2. Which does have some plans for Linux, thanks to an email from the Freejam community manager.
I personally have a Steam Deck and we've been able to get a build running using Proton. I am hoping that we can support Linux at a later date, but I am afraid I do not have an ETA on when this will happen.
While this is favourable news for Linux, this does not guarantee a Linux build. Although, there is hope. The game engine is Unity 3D, but the developer is using EAC, so there will need to be some additional work. At least to be able to support Linux platforms, officially. As you can see in the video below, ROBOCRAFT 2 is running on the Steam Deck. Reporting there are some issues regarding video playback at the start of the game.

ROBOCRAFT 2 is a powerful block-based robot-building game. One where players will create destructive battle robots out of blocks. Due to drive them in online combat. Then seek to destroy the competition with high-powered sci-fi weaponry. Should you be interested in trying the game there is an Alpha install for Windows PC. Which should run on Linux via Proton. The team have also released a Roadmap of their future plans for ROBOCRAFT 2 which include:
RGB Colour system - Choose from over 16 million shades of colour to paint your robot.
Modular Tank Track system - An innovative procedurally generated system to create functional working tank tracks.
Aerodynamics - You can create working wings by just stretching and scaling blocks! This opens up huge possibilities for building and can be useful to create a range of flying machines. Plus it can also impact ground-based machines.
ROBOCRAFT 2 robot building PVP combat game si available to Wishlist on Steam. Due to arrive on Windows PC, and hopefully, Linux, alter. Which is showing signs of decent Proton support via Early Access. NOTE: "We are looking at a Steam release in Summer 2023. But we don’t quite yet have an exact date yet."

Thriving Skyclaw, a Kaladesh dragon from MH3, is a Cat Dragon. This makes sense since Kaladesh dragons have a winged tiger-like appearance!
Are we going to see creature type errata for the other Kaladesh dragons (Skyship Stalker and Freejam Regent?) They appear to be the same species from the art, yet lack the Cat type, and it would be sad if the Skyclaw's siblings got left out!
I know of no current plans for errata. Sorry.

今晚又過咗一個愉快的晚上,一個人走咗去Peel Fresco聽NTBM (not to be missed). 然後發現成個場既人都係臥虎藏龍,係free jam時候出嚟唱歌既歌手,結他手,keyboard or 鼓手都係專業級,仲要一個精彩過一個,完全唔似係free jam囉! All the musicians are amazing! 😍😍😍😍 #ntbm #tjoe #peelfresco #freejam #greatmusicians #teampixel #pixel3xl (at Peel Fresco Music Lounge) https://www.instagram.com/p/BxXy4c9gFZ2/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1xx7o019eqgkd

[Image description:
A series of Discord messages, starting with a Twitter link to a video of Freejam developer Mark Simmons, wearing a Robocraft-branded short-sleeve shirt, standing in front of a Robocraft poster with his arms crossed. The R and O of Robocraft are obscured by his head.
Below the Twitter link message is another user’s message (the username is censored with a red bar), reading: [quote] “Don’t do that; the sight of Robocraft gives us all pain.” [end quote]
Another user responds - their name censored in green - with:
[quote] “Oh, does it?” Why would it do that?” [end quote]
A third user answers - their name censored in blue - with:
[quote] “Sensory overload. We’re all autistic, remember?” [end quote]
end image description]
Before you say anything, know that the last message is from an autistic person.

Damn...
Went a combined 1-6 today in draft and sealed.
Like... wtf.
Part of it is definitely because I am new to Kaladesh draft (I had stepped away from MTG when it came out), so I’m obviously still finding my footing. But, damn, RNG really whacked me over the head.
In draft, I lost 2 games to mana screw. As in, straight up, keep a 3 lander and then never, ever see another land in games that ended up going 8+ turns. I can’t even call it a bad keep. When you’ve got three lands, 2 two drops, a 3 drop, and a four drop, and then proceed to draw nothing but the top end of your deck with no lands... yeah. That sucks. And did I mention I drafted double winding constrictor and never saw them? That really, really hurts.
Sealed was kind of expected. I got a lot of rare cards I wanted (e.g., the fast lands), but those aren’t actually good in sealed. I ended up with great removal in most of my colours but without enough creatures. As in, I struggled to find 14 playable creatures. I ended up losing 2 more games to mana flood (nothing like the sketchy keep on the 2 lander because your hand is all two drops into five lands off the top). I mean having bad creatures isn’t great, but drawing five lands in a row will generally kill you no matter how good your creatures are.
Oh well. It happens. And I have to take my hat off to the guy who curved Aethersphere Harvester in Freejam Regent. That was brutal.
EDIT: I actually started laughing about halfway through because it was like ‘well... I guess that’s how I’m going to lose’.
