Looking around, he was amazed that in this room full of whining men, only one other officer, a captain, had risen. “The only thing I can figure is they didn’t want to go home and go back to work,” Winters later said. “Follow me, gentlemen,” the staff officer said, and led Winters and the captain away. Ushered into another office, a lieutenant colonel tried to convince Winters to stay in the service. Winters was just as determined to leave. “Well, Major,” the colonel said. “You’re being very foolish. You should stay in. With your service record, you’d have a wonderful career in the army.” “I sure as hell don’t understand this, sir,” Winters replied. “If you keep sending me out where people are shooting at me, I’m not going to have much of a career in anything, and I’m surely not going to enjoy my retirement.”

Before the day was out, Winters’ separation papers were signed (his honorable discharge from the U.S. Army would follow on April 1, 1953).

So I noticed an extra incision that they hadn't told me they would be doing, and decided to look up the clinical notes for the surgery. My right ovary was apparently attached to my pelvic wall, the right fallopian tube, AND my uterus. Just a big clump of dense adhesions sticking all my bits together like it's katamari. She also used the term 'nearly obliterated' when describing some little fleah pocket on the back of my uterus, which was also stuck to some ligament back there. They spent half the surgery just cleaning up that whole mess before they could even start removing my uterus. Endomitosis sucks bro; so glad that sucker is finally out of there. (Though this would explain why I've been have a lot of weird pain in my right pelvis lately I guess).

To find out it wasn't true was such a relieve 💚🖤💚

The tomb stone and "free at last" was put up there because Peter was finally free from his contract with RoadRunner Records.

It was an inside joke from Josh that caused a lot of commotion with the fans.

Unfortunately, only 5 years later it was permanently game over for Type O Negative when Peter passed of sepsis from diverticulitis 😥
