In the midst of this piss-and-moan session, a staff officer walked in and called the room to attention. “There’s been a new order,” the man said. “Any officer who has been recalled involuntarily does not have to continue. He may resign and not have to go on to Korea. If there are any officers in this room who wish to take advantage of this order, please step forward.” Winters couldn’t believe his ears and was on his feet before he even realized it. Looking around, he was amazed that in this room full of whining men, only one other officer, a captain, had risen. “The only thing I can figure is they didn’t want to go home and go back to work,” Winters later said. “Follow me, gentlemen,” the staff officer said, and led Winters and the captain away. Ushered into another office, a lieutenant colonel tried to convince Winters to stay in the service. Winters was just as determined to leave. “Well, Major,” the colonel said. “You’re being very foolish. You should stay in. With your service record, you’d have a wonderful career in the army.” “I sure as hell don’t understand this, sir,” Winters replied. “If you keep sending me out where people are shooting at me, I’m not going to have much of a career in anything, and I’m surely not going to enjoy my retirement.”

Before the day was out, Winters’ separation papers were signed (his honorable discharge from the U.S. Army would follow on April 1, 1953).

The tomb stone and "free at last" was put up there because Peter was finally free from his contract with RoadRunner Records.

It was an inside joke from Josh that caused a lot of commotion with the fans.

Unfortunately, only 5 years later it was permanently game over for Type O Negative when Peter passed of sepsis from diverticulitis 😥

Too much frosting, not enough cake. Gilded walnut to distract the eye from its shortcomings, an awkward and sticky situation from public scrutiny while eating it on the sidewalk in the melting-hot sun. Had to use so many napkins to get through it. SOOOOO messy!

Spousal support - so which article is true?

The Blast says: Nothing about an allocation or waiver. But “The Court shall retain jurisdiction over the issue of spousal support.”

Amp.TMZ says: “The parties both agreed to waive spousal support.”

Given that TMZ is usually WAY more reliable on this stuff - I’m inclined to believe TMZ reporting..

The way I read it, is they have waived it for now, this can always been opened up in the future….

Lizard has shot herself dead. It was in her $$$$ interest to waive it right now as she would have had to pay him $$$ since he has little to no income thanks to her shenanigans.

And he has little to no income, so couldn’t pay it anyway. So he to waive it and she had to accept that…
