I don't get it when authors don't tag because of 'spoilers'. How is a fanfiction have spoilers? A random Fredmione shag shoved into a chapter has no effect on the plot so there's no such thing as spoilers there.

A random Fredmione shag will put me right off! Spoilery tags or not, I don't need it in a DRAMIONE fanfiction; mention it, imply it, but don't give me explicit details!

Also yeah, I don't get the whole "tags are spoilers" thing, most people are okay with that. We keep on saying put in more tags, so letting us know that hey there is a sex scene with Hermione and Fred, won't spoil anything. As you said, it won't affect the plot.

Repeating History

“Hey” Alice said walking into Pop’s, FP didn’t respond, he was too focused on something at the end of the diner, “What? Do I not interest you anymore?”

“No, no baby. Look!” he pointed at the table in the far back “that’s Hermione and Fred” 

“Oh my God, are they on a date?” Alice asked, a smirk rising on her lips.

“Looks like it, should we meddle?” 

“Give them a few minutes. Also, Hey again” she looped her arm around his neck and kissed him. “Hey, yourself” he responded, grinning.

They have been dating officially for five months. At first the kids were all against it, but as soon as they saw how happy their parents were, they learned to live with it, sure there was always the occasional awkward breakfasts or the awkward kissing in front of each other, but nevertheless they were all happy.

Everyone got used to them together- at the Whyte Wyrm, Pop’s, town meetings, their houses, they never left each other’s sides. 

FP could swear Pop loves to embarrass him by showering him with questions about her, but he learned to like the teasing and soon enough, he started to tease back “So how’s Mrs. Tate” he’d say with a smirk.

“Let’s go over there, I love meddling with new couples. well, in their case, new again?” Alice said, pointing at their former friends’ table. “Wait, let me take this stupid hat off”

They saw Hermione give wide eyes to Fred, who turned around almost immediately and smiled, “FP, Alice” he nodded.

“Oh hello, Fredrick” Alice said and FP gave her a nudge, smiling. “So you decided to rekindle your old flame?” she said blodly.

“Alice! Excuse her” FP said “be subtle!” he whispered to her.

“It’s fine, FP. Yes actually, we’re- we’re giving it a shot” Hermione smiled “hey join us! Who doesn’t like a good ol’ double date?”. Alice was almost too quick to sit at the booth facing them and FP joined after her, sighing and smiling.

Conversation drowned the two couples and they fell down a hole of old embarrassing stories and trips down memory lane. 

FP and Fred’s band came up like ten times, Hermione laughing hysterically every time someone said ‘the Fred heads’, “That’s such a stupid name! How did I date you back then” she said in between laughs.

FP mentioned Alice and Fred’s attempt to make Mrs. Green trip down the stairs, “That bitch had it coming! She sent us to detention just because we put ice down Molly James’ pants! No one breaks Fredrick’s heart and gets away ice-pants free” Alice said and Fred bursted into laughter.

Then they got into a heated competition about who was the better couple. Fred could’ve sworn Alice almost threw her milkshake at them when Hermione mentioned FP’s ex girlfriend.

“C’mon, everyone knows we were the better couple.” Hermione said.

“Oh, please Maia, remember when you paid us ten bucks each to not be all lovey-dovey in front of the two of you? You exact words were ‘you’re too cute and I don’t want to pressure him’“ FP reminded her, arching an eyebrow at them.

“That was at the beginning of our relationship! Who won cutest couple of the year?” Fred asked, smiling knowingly.

“Who won hottest couple of the year?” Alice shot back, FP smirked at her and tightened his hand around her waist.

“Ha! Falice all the way” FP said.

Hermione and Fred shot each other confused looks “What now?” Hermione asked.

“Oh please like you never thought about your ship name” Alice rolled her eyes.

“Falice? Of all things you chose Falice?” Fred asked. 

“Oh c’mon Fredmione” 

“You- you thought about our ship name too, why the hell was that even a topic you talked about?” Fred was doing everything he can not to burst out laughing, Hermione was biting the inside of her lip.

“Hey now! don’t make fun of us! We talk about everything with each other, and one day this- it came up, okay? And we got a little carried away and now every two people in this town have a ship name.” Alice said, looking guilty.

Fred and Hermione burst out laughing, FP cracked a smile as well “alright, alright, I think we can all agree that Alice and I win the better couple award, thank you very much”.

“Whatever you say, Falice” Fred said.

Alice groaned dramatically and buried her head in FP’s neck, he smiled and stroked her hair.

 Fred saw the sweet gesture and couldn’t help but smile, he grabbed Hermione’s hand under the table and she smiled genuinely at him.

“This is nice” Hermione said “just like old times”.

“Just like old times” FP repeated.

“Let’s just hope we don’t make the same mistakes” Alice added.

And that’s how the original core four got back together, only this time, they weren’t giving up on each other, not without a fight.

Resume:  The war was leaving heavy scars on each one of them. Some of these scars were physical a noticeable, other were more psychological almost imperceptible. Bellatrix is leading her troops with an iron fist. The Order has to make a difficult decision to secure the safety of all of them and Hermione finds herself trapped in a cottage with Fred, unable to leave. Fred is alive.

Okay, so here me out!

My OTP has always been Draco Malfoy and Hermione Granger, but suddenly a couple of years ago I discovered the ship of Fred Weasley and Hermione and I’m here for it!

So, I have started writing this fanfiction of Fred and Hermione. The reason why is because my brain couldn’t stop nagging me to write down some of the ideas that were surfing arround my mind. So, here i am, writing my first long fanfiction. Hope you enjoy it!

Blind Dates

"Fred?"

"Huh? Oh, I'm sorry, Hermione." He rubbed the back of his neck and looked down at his untouched lunch. "I've had a lot on my mind lately. You know, work and all."

The lie came quickly to him. After all, it was his go-to lie anytime Hermione caught him staring at her for a little too long, which happened more often than he cared to admit. In reality, Fred had been entranced by the way she gently bit her lip when she was lost in thought.

Hermione raised an eyebrow at him but didn't question him further. "Well, anyway. Ginny mentioned that your last date didn't go so well…"

He let out a groan and let his head fall back as she trailed off. "Oh, come on. Don't tell me she's recruiting you into this disaster now too? I've told Ginny plenty of times that I can find my own dates. Do you know who she set me up with last time, Hermione?" He looked back at her eyes wide and wild.

Fred was momentarily distracted by her biting her lip to hold back the laughter as she shook her head.

"Pansy Parkinson! Why did she think that was a good idea? I understand they're friends and all, but we've got absolutely nothing in common!" He threw his hands in the air.

This time Hermione did laugh. "Well, if you're quite done, can I talk now?"

Fred looked sheepish as he nodded his head.

"What if I told you I could set you up on the last blind date you'll ever go on? I can guarantee you and will hit it off."

"I'd ask you when Lee Jordan moved back from America." Her laugh made his stomach flip.

"I don't think she'd like it if I told her you wished she was Lee. Anyway, since I know that you know how intelligent I am-"

"And modest too." She snorted, and he was sure the sound made him fall a little more in love with her.

"Anyway, back on track, Fred. We can talk about my many great qualities later." She winked at him, "I took the liberty of setting up your date. You will meet her in the back corner booth of The Leaky Cauldron tomorrow evening at 6." She looked at her watch and started to stand, "Oh, I've got to get going, I've got meetings all afternoon. Thank you for meeting me for lunch. Good luck on your date." She leaned down and kissed his cheek before rushing out of the restaurant.

It was precisely 5:55 the next evening when Fred was pulling open the door to the restaurant. He took a moment to straighten his shirt before moving toward the booth. Hermione said his date would be waiting.

He stopped dead in his tracks when he was close enough to see unruly curls over the back of the booth. Taking a deep breath, he pushed himself forward and slid into the booth opposite his date.

"Good Evening, Love. I do believe I'm supposed to be meeting my future wife here tonight. You wouldn't happen to be her, would you?"

Her answering eye roll and grin confirmed what he already knew. Hermione was right, like always, and this would be his last blind date.

January Wrap Up

Please excuse the fact that we are nearly done with February. I spent what felt like the entire month of January moving into my house. Obviously I was not about to mess with updating my spreadsheet on my phone (shudders), so it had to wait until I got internet set up a couple weeks ago. And then I discovered Airtable by way of my fanfic mom @amypc1 and decided I needed to start off the new year using this tool rather than a spreadsheet. It took me an ungodly amount of time to figure out how I wanted to set up my Airtable - like, literal days. I'm not kidding. I'm fully aware of how fucking ridiculous I am.

Anyways, I still managed to read a healthy amount of words.

All I have to offer from this busy month is a lone Twitter drabble. Trigger warning for grief noted at the beginning of the thread. It allowed me to process some of my own grief and reminded me just how powerful and therapeutic a tool writing can be.

I normally track on a spreadsheet as the month progresses; however, between moving and not having internet...I was out here acting a fool. Anyways, it turns out I still read a lot.

Things I'm Currently Reading (Heading into February)

We are continuing our group read of Ordinary People, and have now started reading Contradictions together as well. I'm still following Disappearances as Trish records. February will be filled with Valentine-themed reads. As always, my TBR list is horrifyingly long. All my my books have been unpacked and placed in their new home on the bookshelf in my office, so I have zero excuses not to start an actual book now. Whatever, we know that's not happening for February.

i am fully in love with drinny ngl and i just hope i don't run out of good fics before i find something to replace it. because god forbid i try to write it.

by the way, i read your drabbles and just. they were so good?? oh my god they were SO GOOD. there aren't many words but they are very GOOD words.

slytherin squad!theo actually grew on me a lot- it's just really weird to think of him as the same theo nott i've got in my mind. not to mention that for various reasons, i've seen nott sr as being a very old man for quite a while now.

HATE it when anyone in the golden trio (or everyone) gets bashed, but if it's minor enough and i really want to read the main focus of the fic, i get through it. honestly though, they don't deserve it? sure they're flawed, like people are, but they're pretty good people all things considered? not to mention they were literal kids for most of the book and i just think they'd round off a bit when they a. get a chance to grow up and b. are not fighting for their lives as literal children. slytherin squad wasn't exactly bashing them and i appreciate that but there is a certain aspect of Not Our Favourite People even though hermione is ginny's best friend and a good one at that.

i am very much a ronmione person but if i closed my eyes enough in slytherin squad i could just Not See the fredmione.

anyway, i finished slytherin squad and though i've forgotten most of the things i wanted to mention, i absolutely loved the ending. theo coming over to the right side even though he was terrified, and the entirety of the squad helping both draco and theo fight their respective fathers, i loved that.

also, heroes of azkaban!! orders of merlin!! blaise and theo getting specific awards for what they did!! (LOVED the hilarity of the highest honour the wizarding world can offer is just another line on the resume for the weasleys. man that family is weird)

i will probably now try Curse of the Firstborn, but if that doesn't work out, do you have any more long fic recs? or just any recs. i seem to have got quite far through your list. oops?

•RedLinners:The redliners are kind of like the editors for the artist. They will be in contact with the group of artist that have choosen them and they'll overlook for any anatomy, composition etc and be in semi-constant feedback with their artists as Redliners can also participate as artists in the project.

• Social Media Mod: They'll be who isbin charge of taking over the zine socials and of promoting the zine.

What’s your opinion on Ron and romione?

Hi Anon, first I’m just going to say that I do not wish to cause any grievance, and that the following may not be to your agreement but it is my own personal thoughts.

Secondly, I’m a dramione shipper. (you can probably tell from my username, it is cause my blog is purely dramione, I rarely post anything else to this page) however I’m leaving that out of the equation.

But a backstory to how I ended here shipping these two characters if you’re interested?

It all started one fateful day when I was 15, I had ran out of Detty fanfiction to read (Ugly Betty if you were wondering). I remembered a friend from school saying I should read some HP fanfics but cause I loved the books so much I didn’t think fanfic could live up to it (how wrong was I?)I opened up google and was like “hmm, Romione, Harmione, Fredmione....Dramione”. I could not tell you the first fic I read, but you’re not asking, you want to know about my thoughts on Ron and Romione.

Thoughts on Ron

For this I’m going to have to put Ron into categories Book Ron and Movie Ron, cause I feel they’re two very different characters.

Book Ron: I would die for book Ron, like honestly. I love how he’s the common sense character, he is the one that’s like “are you a witch or not” not the bubbling idiot they made him in the movies. He isn’t easily panicked and can keep quite the level head about him in intense situations and I admired that about him. Not to mention that he’s witty, he’s smart and such a funny character. There are times he doesn’t know how to help and he makes a joke, simply to lighten the mood, and help in a way that he knows will help, he doesn’t just make a joke for the sake of it. I would have loved a friend like Ron in real life. He reminds me of my real life boyfriend in the sense that he makes jokes to cheer me up when I’m having a really crap day, and I can imagine Ron doing for Hermione. His jealousy is his main flaw, but he’s only human (or a character in a book).

Movie Ron: As a child I loved Movie Ron, he was funny, and I found myself laughing at the stuff that happened but in hindsight I feel bad, a lot of the character he had the books was given to Hermione. Which I find unfair, there’s loads of examples as to how the movie changed Ron’s character. I do believe Rupert Grint delivered the best he could but I think the movies just make him out to be a dick. The fact they made it that he didn’t try scream and try and get to Hermione whilst she was being tortured, honestly hurts my heart, cause reading that I knew just how much he loved her. They missed out the whole thing I loved in their actual first kiss, you know? How he thought of the house elves, the ones he had an instilled prejudice against throoughlut the books. It showed major character growth but the movies were like “nah, let’s just make it a forced encounter”. Cause I honestly don’t get it, all the movie kisses make me cringe tbh.

Ron in Dramione Fanfiction: I added this in as a latter thought. I do feel sometimes the dramione fanfiction is often a bit unfair to Ron but if it’s movie Ron they’re writing I’m fine with it. Ron-bashing happens in dramione fanfiction, but so does Ginny-bashing, Slytherin-bashing, the list goes on and on, and I don’t think it’s exclusive to dramione for such a thing to happen. Do I like it? Not really, but we need a villain, and I guess it’s easy for a scorned lover to be the villain in some cases. I’m sure everyone’s had that ex that just likes to be a dick. I know I have. I more enjoy the fics where they keep the friendship but I know there is no hope in hell that Ron and Draco would be best buddies, I don’t actually think in the actual series it would be possible. So luckily we have fanfiction to make that happen.

Thoughts on Romione

Honestly I think cause I watched the movies first a as child I honestly thought it was going to be Harry/Hermione that ended up together. As a child it was a major thing for me who ended up with who but I just always thought that would be it. So I was actually really surprised that Rowling did that.

But when it happened in the books it was right. In the movies I always felt it seemed more forced. Hell, I even like AVPM Ron better than movie Ron, sorry just that boy deserved better in the movies and I might always be bitter for that.

In AVPSY when he’s singing “Sidekick” that was the most I’ve really shipped them in recent memory since the book kiss I read when I was 13. I just accept it’s canon. Despite JK shitting all over it (literally). I mean she wrote them as soulmates, that’s why their Patronuses were related! I mean despite my young age of 24. I do believe that marriage isn’t going to be head over heels until the day you die. So I do believe they have their rough patches but don’t we all with the people we love and end up with? Love and marriage are never smooth sailing and besides, Hermione would keep him in check!
