Ray Ragnhild Adams - Allande - Frederiksberg Records reissue of 1997 tape-only release from Sweden, an adventurous one-woman bedroom pop album that would have been at home on Crammed Discs
Ray Ragnhild Adams wrote and recorded Allande, her only solo album, in 1997. It was conceived while she was living and working in Torna Hällestad, a small town in southern Sweden. It was later recorded in a small studio in Malmö and privately released in a tiny run of cassette tapes. On the eleven tracks that make up Allande, Ray combines strong vocals, polyrhythmics, sensitive chord progressions and non-Western scales and rhythms to deliver a personal and relevant musical experience. Among the instruments featured are a Yamaha DX7 synthesizer, a homemade polymer transverse flute and a full- size Paraguayan harp. As she recalls, her earliest musical influences include African rhythm and song and early R&B, music that her mother enjoyed, and Ray absorbed it all. She was drawn to music and found solace in it. It became a platform for her own expression, as she would improvise on piano and rhythm instruments at an early age. Text & musik Ray Ragnhild Adams med röst / synt / harpa / flöjt och rytm

HAMSI Boubeker’s ode to freedom, peace and brotherhood, ‘Le Chant Des Profondeurs’, gets a welcome reissue. Despite absorbing jazz, Irish and Breton folk traditions into its sound, this fantastic Berber-influenced music remains true to itself. This blend of styles, moods, and surprises produces a warm and musically exciting experience. You owe it to yourself to check it out! Another impressive reissue from Frederiksberg Records.

I was working on my radioshow, and it suddenly dawned on me that I totally forgot about this Ethopian band from Washington DC and I forgot their name so I went on a whole quest recalling sites like Ghost Capital, and Aquarium Drunkard, who made music like this a major part of my musical diet in the Mid-2000's. Now we are in this glut of fairly awful vinyl reissue world that's driven by capitalism and not a love of music and the evil corporate overlords are buying out Bandcamp so only god knows if good music journalism will still be a thing.
Hopefully you enjoy reading through the ghost capital blogspot a joyous link reminding me of a pretty interesting time of music discovery. Make sure you check out my Mixcloud here and my weekly radio show here.

Hx of atrial flutter icd 10
Tumblr media
#Hx of atrial flutter icd 10 full
New and returning participants gave informed consent verbally at the first 2 examinations (ie, up to 1983) and in writing at each subsequent examination. The CCHS was approved by the Ethics Committee of Copenhagen and Frederiksberg Municipality, Denmark. We excluded participants with prevalent AF on their baseline ECG (n=118) those with self-reported coronary heart disease, stroke, use of cardiac medication, or use of antihypertensives at baseline (n=1431) and those with missing information on alcohol use (n=180), which left us with 16 415 participants eligible for analysis. At each of the 3 examinations, participants completed a questionnaire concerning their medical history, socioeconomic status, exercise, smoking, and drinking habits. The number of new participants was 14 223 at the first visit, 1563 at the second, and 2360 at the third, for a total of 18 146 individuals. At the second examination in 1981 to 1983, an additional sample of 500 participants (aged 20 to 24 years) was invited, and at the third examination in 1991 to 1994, a final 3000 subjects (aged 20 to 49 years) were invited. After the first examination in 1976 to 1978, this sample (including individuals who did not attend the first examination) was reinvited to participate in 2 more examinations in 1981 to 1983 and in 1991 to 1994. The CCHS began in 1976 with an original population sample of 19 698 persons randomly drawn from the Copenhagen Population Register, of whom 14 223 attended an initial examination. As part of the study, participants have received routine resting ECGs at 3 examinations, and a national register records diagnoses from all hospitalizations, which provides reliable and valid assessments of incident AF. To address the prospective association of alcohol use and risk of AF more fully, we studied more than 16 000 participants of the Copenhagen City Heart Study (CCHS), a population-based cohort study of residents of Copenhagen, Denmark. 13,14 Thus, substantial controversy remains about the relation of alcohol use and risk of AF. Moreover, experimental studies suggest that alcohol administration decreases susceptibility to and duration of AF in canine models. 10 However, 2 prospective cohort studies have not confirmed this finding, 11,12 and Psaty and colleagues 12 found that alcohol use was inversely associated with risk of AF in the Cardiovascular Health Study. 6–9 A recent cohort study found a higher risk of AF even among men who consumed ≈2 drinks per day.
#Hx of atrial flutter icd 10 full
3,4 However, although anecdotal evidence implicates episodic heavy drinking as a trigger of atrial fibrillation (AF), 5 the relationship of the full range of alcohol use with risk of incident AF is less certain.Īt least 4 case-control studies have found relatively similar odds of AF among abstainers and moderate drinkers but significantly higher odds of AF among heavier drinkers. 1,2 Cohort studies also suggest that moderate alcohol use is inversely associated with risk of congestive heart failure. Substantial evidence indicates that moderate alcohol consumption is associated with a lower risk of cardiovascular disease than abstention or heavy drinking. This relationship does not appear to be related to the adverse effects of heavy drinking on coronary heart disease or blood pressure. Further adjustment for blood pressure and incident coronary heart disease and congestive heart failure did not attenuate the association (hazard ratio 1.63 95% CI 1.15 to 2.31).Ĭonclusions- Heavy alcohol consumption is associated with a higher risk of atrial fibrillation, at least among men. Approximately 5% of cases of atrial fibrillation among men were attributable to heavy alcohol use. However, consumption of 35 or more drinks per week among men was associated with a hazard ratio of 1.45 (95% CI 1.02 to 2.04) few women consumed this amount of alcohol. Among both women and men, alcohol consumption throughout the moderate range was not associated with risk of atrial fibrillation. A total of 1071 cases occurred during follow-up. We identified cases of atrial fibrillation by routine study ECGs and a validated nationwide registry of all hospitalizations. We ascertained use of beer, wine, and spirits individually at up to 3 study visits with a structured questionnaire. Methods and Results- In a prospective cohort study, we studied the association between self-reported alcohol use and incident atrial fibrillation among 16 415 women and men enrolled in the Copenhagen City Heart Study. Customer Service and Ordering Informationīackground- The relationship of the full range of alcohol consumption with risk of incident atrial fibrillation has been inconsistent in previous, mainly case-control studies.Stroke: Vascular and Interventional Neurology.Journal of the American Heart Association (JAHA).Circ: Cardiovascular Quality & Outcomes.Arteriosclerosis, Thrombosis, and Vascular Biology (ATVB).

Ole Knudsen:  Det Handler Om Kærlighed / Karin Liungman: I Denna Magiska Tid
Founded in New York by Danish video journalist Andreas Vingaard, Frederiksberg Records is responsible for one of our favorite jazz reissues of 2015, Carsten Meinert’s 1969 LP, To You. As such, we make a point to check in on the label’s doings from time to time. Stylistically varied, yet always consistent in their output and approach, our latest pass yielded a pair of digital only reissues released earlier this summer, Karin Liungman’s I Denna Magiska Tid, and Ole Knudsen’s Det Handler Om Kærlighed.

SKAM Denmark Info Post
Tumblr media
Hello!
If you don’t know me, my name is Jess and it is very nice to meet you. I am American, not Danish, and if there are Danish people or other people who want to add to this post then feel free. I’m making this post because, on occasion, I include SKAM Denmark into my edits of evak parallels. Each and every time this happens, my notifications are bombarded with questions asking what is Skam Denmark, how come they’ve never heard of it, where can they watch it, etc. This is totally fine and expected because up until like a year ago I also was unaware of its existence. I decided to make this post to answer some questions about it and provide a bit of background information.
What is SKAM Denmark?
It is the live theatrical version of SKAM (the original). It is not a danish version of skam, but I believe the show is performed in Danish. The story is the same and even the character names are the same (apart from Isaac instead of Isak). It is a one-act play and each “season” gets its own production. They are referred to as SKAM 1, SKAM 2, etc. So SKAM 1 is a one-act play that ran for some months, and then they ran SKAM 2, and SKAM 3. SKAM 4 has yet to run and is scheduled to open in 2020. The characters do not have social media, and this is not aired on television.
Cool! Where is it performed?
Aveny-T theater in Frederiksberg, Denmark
Is there a recording of the play or a bootleg we can watch?
Nope. None that I am aware of (and yes I did search).
So where did you get the photos you’ve been using?
I’ve been using the promotional photos taken to advertise the play. NOT screenshots from a recording. However, if it ever comes to my attention that a recording is available, professional or otherwise, you all will be the first to know I promise (I can’t just keep that info to myself I literally want you all to watch and scream with me).
Wait, then how do they do the days of the week and clips?
They don’t. They go by months of the year.
Is there at least a trailer we can watch?
They have trailers for SKAM 1 and SKAM 2, SKAM 3 only has promo photos :(
Here is another video talking about SKAM 2

Milt Ward & Virgo Spectrum - official reissue of 1977 private-press jazz LP (Frederiskberg Records)
It seemed trumpeter/composer Milton Ward had all he needed for a breakthrough in the world of contemporary jazz in the late 1970s. Blessed with a beautiful trumpet tone and an impressive work ethic, Ward found a home in Boston’s exploding soul and jazz scenes of the early 1970s. His star never joined the constellation of jazz luminaries, but Ward did leave one fantastic album of spiritual jazz that has become a collectors’ favorite: Milt Ward and Virgo Spectrum. Frederiksberg Records is proud to present the first and only authorized reissue of this funky jazz classic. The release includes remastered tracks from the original LP along with in-depth liner notes that provide a detailed account of Ward’s journey from his early years discovering music in the South to his toils finding a hold in the music business in Boston and New York City. Born in Michigan but raised in New Orleans, Ward came up through the Crescent City’s legendary musical education system. After a stint in the Air Force, Ward and his friend Stanton Davis (of Ghetto/Mysticism fame) looked to the Berklee College of Music in Boston for the next step in their development. Immediately, the two were immersed in Boston’s busy music scene, finding trumpet chairs in Herschel Dwellingham’s Orchestra at the Sugar Shack, where they backed up many of the day’s soul greats. Ward worked with many up-and-coming musicians emerging from Berklee’s nurturing arms. He recruited many to his projects, including his Ultra Modern Quintet Plus Two, which played regularly around Boston in the early 1970s. It was in the mid-1970s that Ward took it upon himself and his entrepreneurial spirit to start his own record label, Twin Quest, and record his stand-alone release. Milt Ward and Virgo Spectrum brought together great young musicians who would quickly make names for themselves within the jazz world, including keyboard wizard Delmar Brown and future Jazz Messenger saxophonist Billy Pierce. Saxophonist/flutist Eddie Alex is a standout, as is baritone saxophonist Glenn Barbour, who soon would head to Atlanta to join The Whole Darn Family. Percussionist Ignacio Mena, bassist Cucho Martinez, and drummer Hugh Petersen all hailed from farther south: Chile, Venezuela, and St. Croix, respectively. The recording also incorporated two bona fide New York jazz masters and veterans of the spiritual jazz movement, bassist Cecil McBee and saxophonist Carlos Garnett. The recording still stands as a hallmark to the creative music scene of Boston and New York City when soul and funk began to emmesh themselves in jazz. Milton Ward’s Milt Ward and Virgo Spectrum remains a youthfully vibrant recording that is ripe for rediscovery by a new generation of explorative listeners. Sons of Ethiopia, l'album de pop éthiopienne d'Admas réédité

A Danish rarity combining folk-inspired synth pop with futuristic new wave, that's become an outsider DJ's favourite over the years. Taken from her first and last album in 1981, reissued and remastered by @frederiksbergrecords.
