Frank Lloyd Wrights Prairie Homes #youtubeshorts #shorts
https://ift.tt/DhM6wy8 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0aAbO5f2rss Take a closer look at some of the most famous Prairie homes designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, such as the iconic Robie House in Chicago and the Frederick C. Robie Residence. Discover the architectural principles that make these homes masterpieces, including Wright’s pioneering use of the cantilever, which allowed for expansive overhangs without the need for columns. Explore how Wright’s attention to detail is evident in his holistic approach to design—where everything from the layout to the furniture, lighting fixtures, and even textiles was meticulously planned to create a cohesive aesthetic. Learn how Wright’s use of geometric patterns, particularly in his stained glass windows, added a distinctive touch to these homes. @DesignTimeChronicles from Design Time Chronicles https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCm6uc9NVpguBHXtX1gtAzyA via Design Time Chronicles https://ift.tt/gV6hNKY September 01, 2024 at 07:56PM

NEW ARRIVAL / 2024.06.03
90’s DKNY Black Wool Gabardine Sport Jacket [P12]
POST JUNK
00’s~ CHANEL UNIFORM Black Pants [About W30]
00’s~ CHAT PILE L/S T-Shirt [XL]
00’s~ CHAT PILE L/S T-Shirt [XL]
70’s~ UNKNOWN Mix Color Loop Yarn Knit Sweater [S]
LEAF BAGS Leather Bag Made In Italy
00’s KUBRICK T-Shirt [S]
00’s~ FRANK LLOYD WRIGHT “FREDERICK C. ROBIE HOUSE” T-Shirt [Ladies L]

Frank Lloyd Wright’s world-famous Robie House, designed for businessman Frederick C. Robie between 1908 and 1910, has been a National Historic Landmark since 1963. The structure is often cited as the best example of the Prairie style.

The Guest Bedroom in Frank Lloyd Wright’s Robie House has a few pieces of furniture designed by Wright. The rocking chair here is, I believe, the one that was thrown on a trash heap when the house was owned by the Chicago Theological Seminary. A janitor saw it and took it home. Years later when the house was being restored, the janitor donated it back to the Robie House. In 1957 when the Seminary was planning to demolish the house, Wright commented, "It all goes to show the danger of entrusting anything spiritual to the clergy."
