Sooo...a few months ago came the new Pixar movie: Elemental. I quite liked it, specially its animation aaaand then I tried to come up with which elements the bh6 gang would be if they were in that world. After thinking about it for some loooooong minutes, I came to the conclusion that: Fred would be Air, gogo would be Fire, Wasabi would be Water and honey Lemon would be Earth, and so...I drew it while I was at work 😅
Tumblr media
I couldn't decide the elements for Tadashi, hiro and Baymax though...😥 But still...once I noticed that Fred was an Air Element...I couldn't stop myself from drawing these!! 😆

Note: I'm making this because there's literally almost little about him.
Hiro Hamada HCs
Definitely a lot of dates in the lab instead of outside but he still likes hanging out outside of the lab.
Will literally get you whatever you want as long as he knows how to make it.
Or as long as he's able to afford it.
No matter what.
But he won't tell or present it to you like he made/bought it.
You just left your classroom and headed to your lab to do your homework. It was beside Tadashi's(which is now Hiro's but still Tadashi's) and always has been. Once you enter, Hiro would poke his head out of his lab and take quiet steps towards your lab doors before putting down the thing you wanted but in a box. He knocks on the door before dashing back into his lab, pushing Baymax who was watching the whole time back in. You look up from your book in curiosity and set your pen down before heading towards the door to see who was outside. When you open it, you found nothing until you look down to see a well wrapped box with a little flower on top. You grab the present and see that it's addressed to you before unwrapping it to find the item you've been wanting for a while. Meanwhile, Hiro sits on his beanbag with a proud smirk on his face.
He loves it when you play with his hair or wear his sweater.
He literally melts when he sees you wear it.
Baymax is concerned sometimes because of how much smiling he does when you're around.
He introduced you to his friends and they absolutely adore you. Especially, Honey Lemon and Fred.
Whenever he gets bored, he'd just pick up his phone and call you. When you answer, he'd say; "So bored. Can we hang out?"
Late night or not, he still manages to find ways to hang out with you. Online or not.
During weekends, everytime he goes down to the cafe, he'd wait for you to walk in but if you don't, he'll text you.
If you're sick on weekends, Aunt Cass will make some soup and Hiro will gift it to your parents even though they already made your food.
He'll definitely stay beside you when you're sick. If you sneeze, a tissue is already in his hand, holding it out for you to take and wipe your nose.
If he gets sick, then you'll return the favor and take care of him while Aunt Cass runs the cafe downstairs.
He won't admit he's sick and deny it all the time until he accepts it(which is after 30 minutes).
He only lets you to enter his room even when he's asleep.
When he wakes up, expect a goofy smile on this raven haired boy.
"Hey beautiful/handsome/gorgeous."
Cheesy when he's half asleep.
If you're ever scared, he'd sent Baymax over to comfort when he couldn't. If he could, then he'll go to your room and comfort you himself.
He'll probably wake up later than you but we all sleep late sometimes too so...
During weekdays, he always pick you up at your place, brings you your favorites from The Lucky Cat Cafe before walking to SFIT together.
Or you'd be the one picking him up from his place.
It depends on who's texting who to pick who up.
He loves his bags of gummy bears so you buy some more for him.
He loves you even more.
When you two have to do hero stuff, you always ride with him on Baymax when traveling.
He finds you so good-looking in your hero suit that he nearly draw you on his textbook. Trying to be like Miles Morales.
JK. Definitely draw you.
He loves to take you out on dinner dates because he found them more romantic than lab dates.
Gets seriously worried when something happens to you when you fight bad guys together.
He has magnets on your gloves and shoes like his hero suit just so he can keep you still on Baymax's back.
He loves it when you get so serious in your things like, studying, fighting, gaming, creating something. It shows that you're putting a lot of effort into it and he's proud of it.
Always gets higher score than yours in tests, and sometimes lower. Yours is around 90% all the time thanks to your scheduled study dates every time before final exams or tests. But his? 99% and 89% all the way. Sometimes you both get 100.
He loves PDA but not around Aunt Cass. He gets super flustered but so confident when she or his friends are not around.
Brags about you to Karmi to make her jealous.
Literally never stops.
He just love you so much.
Homemade ice creams!
Especially during summer break.
He wanted to make a machine for it but you prefer making them yourself.
He'll join you once he gets too hot from the heat that he stops half way making it. Just wait.
If it's too long to make, you guys would just use science to make the ice cream freeze quicker.
Has a wall for polaroids of you guys on your dates (takes one on each date).
Mostly only you guys but in some there's Baymax and/or Fred who wants to join in by photo bombing it.
Aunt Cass loves them and likes to ask Hiro which date did you guys go to while pointing at a Polaroid.
The camera is yours but he's the one to keeps the photos.
Always play co-op games with you.
Any kind.
Movie nights neither of you guys are tired.
Holds your hand in public even when doing hero stuff.
Honey Lemon will suggest you what kind of dates you two should do together.
Wasabi is a supporter. When someone is about to intervene, he'd politely ask them to leave so you and Hiro can have some quality time together.
GoGo is proud whenever Hiro makes the first move during your dates.
Tells you who he's with and where he's going to.
He wants you to trust him as much as he trusts you.
Rarely is jealous. But definitely get defensive when someone flirts with you.
If you guys ever argue, he'd be the first one to apologize and you two hug it out.
Makes you vehicle of your choice out of scrap. But no car yet. (Motorcycle, skateboard, scooter, etc)
If you love flowers, he'll buy you seeds for them and you'd give the flowers to Hiro and Aunt Cass. Little flower crowns for Mochi and Baymax, too.
If Hiro ever gets a nightmare. You'd know.
Literally.
Like, he shot up from his sleeping state from his nightmare, panting and sweating cold sweat and you'll just wake up in the middle of the night and say to yourself, "Something just happened."
He's a lot more open to you than he is to his friends.
Loves to share a sweater during winter. And he'll make sure to use the big comfy one.
He adores the view of you in the winter. It warms his heart and his face.
Comforts you whenever you're sad whether you need him or not.
You and the gang plays Just Dance at Fred's house and even- almost- got Clifford to do it.
He makes you your own mini-max that suits your personality.
Video call through your Mini-max and his Baymax if either your phones are charging.
Never sleeps on your sleepovers and ended up fighting to stay awake during the day because you wanted to hang out together.
You guys ended up sleeping in his room and on his bed anyway.
He'd keep every single present you give him because he cherish them.
You'd keep every single present of his and put them to use if they are made for it.
Matching silver necklaces.
Deep conversations on your rooftop.
Skincare together after you both turn 16.
Planning on moving to an apartment that's only a few blocks away from the Lucky Cat Cafe and your house when you turn 20.

||Light 'em Up|| Prologue
Summary: She saved Hiro from bullies and then punched Tadashi when she thought he was one too. She calls herself Hiro's caretaker, and became Tadashi's best friend. Now she attends the same Institute as Tadashi as a robotics student. She's Sakura dubbed Cherry Blossom by Fred. She's Hiro's partner in crime, when it comes to annoying his brother and Tadashi's best friend. Pairing: Tadashi Hamada x Sakura Kamiya(OC) Rating || Genres || Warnings: T. Romance. Angst. Hurt/Comfort. Adventure A/N: I've written this for the longest time and figured it was time to start uploading this here! So enjoy!
"So was that everyone on your little Nerd Team?"
Hiro asked cheekily as he stood beside his brother, helmet in hand. They had just stepped out of the Institute, after meeting everyone, and were about to head home. His older brother grinned and nodded, putting his own helmet on.
"Yup!" He started the Moped as he counted his friends on his fingers one by one.
"Gogo. Fred. Honey. Wasabi. And..." His eyes widened with disbelief with a hint of fear, as he paled and breathed out.
"Oh crap!"
Hiro's smile widened all the more when his brother was almost immediately cut off by a loud shout from the top of the stairs.
"Tadashi Hamada!"
Both brothers turned to look at the stairs where a figure was walking towards them, their steps quick and determined. Tadashi seemed to shrink where he sat on his mopped, while his younger brother, with his helmet still on, waved excitedly.
"Hiya Sakura!"
Immediately a bright smile was directed towards him.
"Hello Hiro!"
The younger boy was then swept into a giant bear hug by the girl. She lifted him off his feet, the both of them laughing before she deposited him back on the ground looking at him, her eyes shining.
"Oh its so good to see you! Its been almost three days since I last saw you. I was worried when I got Tadashi's text about the Bot Fight. Why did you even go there anyway? No wait! What were you thinking?! For being a smart kid that was pretty dangerous and stupid Hiro."
As she spoke she started to turn his head around, eyeing him from head to toe.
"You're not hurt are you? If it were up to me I would glue that helmet to your head."
She laughed rapping her knuckles smartly against the object. Worry and concern was written all over the older girl's face as she inspected him for any kind of bruises or even a scratch.
"Seriously are you okay though?"
Her voice was soft, violet eyes laced with concern as she looked at Hiro in the eye.
"I'm okay, Sakura!"
Hiro said pushing her hands away gently, with a grin. He knew how the older girl could get with him. She was always checking up on him and making sure he was eating properly and sleeping well. Whenever he was about to try out one of his new inventions she would make sure to be just around the table, that was put up to protect them if need be, with a first aid kit and a fire extinguisher. He didn't mind though. He loved the attention and Sakura loved to take care of him. Smiling lightly Sakura stood up straight, ruffling his hair, making it messier than ever.
"I know you're okay, Squirt!"
Hiro protested laughingly batting away her hands.
"H-hey Sa-kura."
A small voice called out. The girl turned, her long pony tail swishing around her head with the movement, to look at the older Hamada brother, her face completely devoid of any emotion. Beside her the younger Hamada brother grinned slyly as he stood behind the black haired girl, partly hidden. His eyes relayed a single message to the victim.
"You are so dead, bro!"

Pairing: Hiro Hamada x Reader Warnings: Mentions of alcohol. Aged up characters. Notes: Look, I just thought this was cute, okay? Sickeningly sweet, even. Anyway, I'm gonna go watch Youtube now. There's still much more to come for all the characters I write for goddamnit. Hope you enjoy this!
— — — — — — — — — —
"𝙸 𝚑𝚊𝚟𝚎 𝚕𝚘𝚟𝚎𝚍 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚜𝚒𝚗𝚌𝚎 𝚠𝚎 𝚠𝚎𝚛𝚎 𝙴𝚒𝚐𝚑𝚝𝚎𝚎𝚗."
— — — — — — — — — —
Hiro knew that he was deeply, utterly, and irreversibly in love with you when he was 18.
Maybe even before that, if he was being perfectly honest with himself. Why he never made the first move was obvious. Who'd risk their friendship all for what he dubbed as a 'silly crush'?
No, no, no. He'd rather keep you as a friend. Friends are reliable and safe. Take Gogo and the gang for example. They were there during his darkest times.
But you. You were different. You never once gave up on him. Like when you barreled up the stairs to his attic room during his grieving period for Tadashi's death, forcing him to drink that disgusting nutritious smoothie you'd made. All because you cared for him. Even back when he entered that portal to save Alistair’s daughter, to when he started his first semester in SFIT. You were there through it all.
Maybe that's when it started.
All he knows though, is that he only came to the realisation that he was madly in love with you during his 18th birthday last week.
"Happy birthday Hiro! Finally the big one-eight, huh?" Hiro chuckles with a wince when Fred all but jumps onto his back with a loud cheer.
He offers his friend a drink. "Thanks."
"Oh, if Tadashi were here, he'd be so proud of you," Honey Lemon gushes, handing him his gift. He takes it, grateful to see all his friends for the party Cass decided to throw. With it being last minute and all he hadn’t expected most of them to show. Now all that’s left is for the last guest to arrive.
"Thanks Honey Lemon. The rest are upstairs right now." He informs them, knowing full well that Gogo was probably already pouring a glass of beer in the kitchen and chatting with Cass.
"Hey Honey Lemon," He gently grabs the girl's arm, stopping her from following an over-excited Fred. "Have you seen her...?"
"She just messaged me saying that she's on the way, Hiro." She assures him with an all-knowing smile. He huffs a small sigh of relief, glad that you're still coming even after your small fight with him the day before.
"You should really just confess to her already."
"There's nothing to confess," He laughs nervously, running a hand through his hair.
"Could've fooled me." He turns to see Gogo, Wasabi, and Fred standing at the doorway to the stairs that lead up to the living area. Gogo takes another large sip of beer from her cup, her deadpan remark from earlier causing a flood of warmth to reach Hiro's ears.
"I don't know what you're talking about."
"Dude," Wasabi shakes his head, "You've been in love with her ever since you were like, what, 14? Don't deny it. We all see the way you look at her."
"I look at her like I look at Fred!" He denies vehemently.
"You look at Fred like he's stupid." Honey Lemon pops a lozenge into her mouth.
"Exactly." Hiro smirks, crossing his arms. A knock on the door makes him turn, his lips curling into a wide smile when he sees you standing outside.
He opens the door, ready to greet you with a hug when he spots the man next to you. His smile immediately fades, confusion replacing his earlier happiness. You turn and say a quick goodbye to him, waving him off before stepping into the cafe and giving Hiro a quick hug.
The scent of your shampoo overwhelms his senses, but he’s still oddly guarded against this new guy that was watching the entire exchange happen. He doesn’t know what overcomes him, wrapping his arms around you with some sort of possessive squeeze, eyes narrowing into a subtle glare. The guy who accompanied you studies him with a raised brow, letting out a huff before leaving.
“Hiro?” He finally releases you from his hold after you tap his arms.
“Hey,” He greets you simply, letting out a breathy chuckle at the sight of your flushed cheeks from the cold night. Your hands are in his, and he hopes that they get warm so you don’t fall sick. Being physically fit and having a strong immune system are not the same thing, and you’re the embodiment of that.
“Happy birthday,” You remove your hands from his, handing him a small packaged gift. He takes it from you, pressing his lips together to keep himself from smiling wider than he already is. He takes a deep breath to calm himself, distracting himself by snatching the beanie off your head.
You narrow your eyes into a playful glare before sighing. “Thanks, here’s my coat and bag too.” You hand him both items, dumping them in his outstretched arms with a smirk.
He watches you walk off to enthusiastically greet everyone. They all welcome you with big hugs and warm smiles, Gogo offering you a sip of her beer. You decline it politely and she shrugs, downing the rest.
He follows everyone upstairs, heading to his bedroom where he sets down your gift on his table with the rest. He arranges the coat to rest on his chair, placing the bag in the seat before he spots something inside. In your hurry to make it on time, you forgot to zip it up properly before handing it to him.
He gently pulls the white strip of paper, suppressing a laugh when he realises what it is. A strip of photos that you two had taken in a photobooth together is in his hands. He still remembers that day when you dragged him out of the house to “touch some grass” as you’d so eloquently put it.
You had dragged him to a mall, where you both watched Frozen 2 together. He had to buy the tickets as usual, but he didn’t really mind if that meant you would enjoy the movie. You bought the snacks, munching away on the popcorn even though it was intended to be shared by the both of you.
He didn’t really mind that either.
So when you both exited the cinema to see a photobooth, you gasped excitedly and grabbed his wrist, tugging him along. He groaned when you placed a reindeer headband on his head but didn’t take it off. After all, how could he deny your request when your eyes sparkled, filled to the brim with happiness? You then raved about how cheap it was, only paying a total of 7 bucks for 2 photo strips.
He took one, and so did you.
His is on a corkboard above his desk, a thumbtack pinning it above all the rest of the group photos taken together. There was another photo where the both of you had hot chocolate moustaches during Christmas, caught off guard by the sudden flash from Fred’s camera.
Huh. Maybe he is in love with you after all.
He puts the strip of photos back in your bag, zipping it up tightly so it wouldn’t fall out before heading back down to the kitchen where he spots you sitting down next to the windowsill. He makes his way over, grabbing two cups. One filled with cola, and one filled with cider.
"So, this is new," Hiro hums, handing you the cup filled with cola. You take it from him gratefully, starting to sip away. “Never saw him around before.”
"Yeah," you laugh, sparing him no detail of how you first got together with Max. He had been your lab partner and over time you just got closer until he asked you out last week. You had hesitantly accepted, unsure why an unknown tugging in your chest makes you feel uncomfortable doing so. But you simply brushed it aside, because why not?
"He seems...nice."
"He is," You reply lightheartedly, a warm smile on your lips  "How about you though?" you nudge his side with a laugh. "When're you gonna find a girlfriend, huh?"
He chuckles. "What makes you think I don't have one?"
"Please," You scoff, eyeing him with a sarcastic look. "You'd be bragging non-stop if you did."
"Yeah, you're right," He admits. "Here, I'll get you a refill." He swipes the now empty cup from your hand, striding off to the kitchen counter. You watch him leave with a soft smile, leaning on your elbow. He greets Gogo and Honey Lemon with a nudge to their sides, the both of them welcoming him into the conversation. He falls into it so easily, talking gaily with a twinkle in his eyes.
You study the way he bends down to listen, and his messy hair falling into his eyes as he laughs. You forget how quickly he'd grown up. His growth spurt had hit him like a truck, and puberty had just made his voice a little deeper though it still had the same mischievous undertones as he did when he was 14.
You forgot exactly how grown up he'd become. Have you always seen him as his 14 year old self?
"You could always just confess."
The sudden voice startles you out of your thoughts, letting out a yelp at Fred's appearance. Hiro looks up, his attention drawn to you after hearing your surprised yelp. You shake your head to signal that you're fine, his wide eyes softening in response before he resumes his conversation with Gogo.
"That was ages ago," you hissed in embarrassment, turning to face the window. Fred plops into the seat opposite you with a raised brow. "It's not like I still had that fat crush on him when I was a teenager."
“You’re right,” Fred agrees, taking a nonchalant sip from his cup before continuing. “It’s only gotten worse.”
"It has not," you deny hotly, feeling the flush work its way up your neck and into your cheeks, burning at the insinuation.
"Mmhm," Fred nods slowly. "Sure it hasn't. Don't think I forgot all about your little rants."
Crap. You wish you could delete the memory of your pining for Hiro from his memory. Sure, it'd been a couple times when Fred had been your listening ear. Or Wasabi. Or Honey Lemon. Or Gogo.
Everyone knows.
The realisation makes you cringe, sliding deeper into your seat and covering your face with your hands. You desperately wish the ground would just swallow you whole.
"With that reaction, I highly doubt it ever faded," Fred chuckles at the dismayed state you're in.
"Is something wrong?" You tense at the familiar voice, peeking through your fingers to see the bemused smile on Hiro's lips as he stands between you both with two red plastic cups in his hand.
"Nope, nothing's wrong amigo. Just a little girl talk," Fred winks, patting your shoulder as he stands up to leave.
Hiro laughs. "Right." He watches Fred walk away before sitting down opposite you. You sit back up straight, hands away from your face and gripping the cup he hands to you a little too forcefully. Hiro's eyes study you, trying to put together the puzzle pieces. You recognise the look in his eyes - it's similar to when he's trying to find the source of a problem in his invention.
"I'm not a robot. Or Baymax," You remind, taking a sip of cold cola. The cool beverage trickles down your throat as you swallow, and you press the cup against your cheeks, hoping to cool them down faster.
"That's a very smart observation."
"Shut up," you retort playfully.
"So, how long have you guys been together?" Hiro asks, the words foreign on his tongue. He never pictured you with anyone else but him before, and seeing Max was a bit of a shock to his pleasant night. It kinda dimmed it a little too.
"Not really together," you say, "We’re kinda still in the talking stage. He asked me out to the movies." You don't really know what prompted you to deny your relationship, even though technically you guys aren’t really together yet since it’d only been your second date so far with him before Hiro’s birthday party.
"Oh?" Hiro's interest is piqued. He leans forward. "Which movie?"
"The Nun," You shudder.
"Seriously?" Hiro dissolves into laughter, shaking his head and wiping the tears from his eyes at your disgruntled state. "But you hate horror movies!"
"Yeah," you sigh, taking another sip. "But he was really apologetic about it and the tickets were already bought, so..."
"Right. You went with him so you wouldn't waste the money." Hiro guesses, and he must've hit the nail on the head from the way your lips purse when he's right about something.
"Maybe."
"Aww, it's okay," he coos playfully, reaching over and ruffling your hair with his hand. You swat it away, trying to fix the hair you'd put so much effort into before coming (though you'll never tell him that). "We'll watch Elemental next weekend so you can cry it out. Again." He offers.
"It's not my fault I cry easily at stuff! Besides, Ember's entire journey struck a chord in my heart, okay?" You defend yourself, crossing your arms.
"Sure. If anything, I'd say you're more of a Wade."
"You mean gentle, kind, and caring? Thanks," You reply swiftly, batting your eyelashes at him with a smirk. "You're kinda a Clod yourself."
"Says you, at least he has confidence." Hiro argues back. "And Wade's a crybaby."
"He is not," You gasp, laying your hand over your heart in mock offence. "he's just very in touch with his emotions."
Hiro's deadpan stare makes the corners of your mouth twitch, trying to suppress the smile that threatens to take over. Judging from the twinkle in his eye, he's doing the same.
"Whatever," You scoff, finally allowing the genuine smile to blossom. God, how you’ve missed this stupid boy.
Hiro watches you with sincere interest, not allowing his gaze to wander away from you even once as a grin plays on his lips. God, how he’s missed this annoying girl.
"They're sickening." Gogo whispers, 3 cans of beer already emptied around her as she sips on her fourth. "They both need to woman up already."
"Don't worry," Wasabi chuckles, watching you both continue to talk intently with huge smiles on your faces. "I have a feeling that they just need a little more time."
— — — — —
The cafe bell chimes, signalling yet another customer’s presence.
Hiro slides his phone back into his pocket. Oh well, guess he'd check his assignments later. Upon looking up however, he's grateful that he didn't opt out of helping Cass with the cafe today.
He clears his throat. "What can I get you today?"
"One iced latte please."
"And would you like that with, or without the server? That's me." He adds hurriedly in a whisper.
"With, you dumbass." You laugh. He's fully enraptured by the sound, eyes watching the amused smile on your lips, and the way your eyes crease when you laugh.
"I'll be right with you then." He sets off to make the latte hurriedly, already planning on using his break time to spend it with you instead.
"So, how's the boyfriend?" He asks politely, sliding into the seat opposite yours with your drink. Something sharp twists itself deeper into his chest, making him shift uncomfortably. He forces a courteous smile, trying to act as if it doesn’t bother him even now.
"Oh, him?" You muse, fingernail tapping against the plastic cup. "We broke up."
"Oh?" Whatever sharp object that was twisting deep into his heart starts to ease away bit by bit, allowing him to breathe just a little easier. He forces down the pleased smile that almost starts to form from your reply, letting sympathy take its place. "What happened?"
"I don't know, I just..." You sigh, eyes trained on the droplets of water that had formed due to condensation on the side of the plastic cup.
It's silent for a while. You distract yourself by stirring the drink so that the milk and espresso blend together, forming a light, milky brown in the cup. You take a small sip, trying to ignore the way his all-knowing stare bores holes into your head as if he’s already read your mind. Knowing him though, he probably didn’t. Probably. You can never tell what invention he might be testing on you.
Hiro merely waits patiently, knowing that all you needed was a little time before you'd cave and tell him everything.
"We just weren't that compatible," You admit.
"Really? I would never have guessed from the way he brought you to watch The Nun for your first date," Hiro says sarcastically, wincing when your glare is now directed at
him. "Sorry." He apologises with his hands raised in surrender.
He places them back down, noticing how your lips part as if you're about to say something, but instead hesitate. "What's wrong?" He asks gently.
"He also said...He knew that he isn't my priority. He said that he knows....someone else is." You say slowly, cheeks awash with a burnt pink as it works its way up your neck and into your cheeks and ears. You can't bring yourself to look at him, the words you just admitted out loud already a confession in itself.
Hold on.
Hold on.
Hiro's mind is reeling at the words you've just uttered. His eyes are focused on your flushed cheeks (it’s not his fault you look so pretty) as his mind is completely blown to tiny, incomprehensible pieces in his head.
"Uh...I...uh...well…"
"This was a mistake," You mumble, taking the cup and standing up, ready to leave. You're slightly amused at the sounds coming out of Hiro's mouth, but maybe now's not the time. Especially after a (somewhat) fresh breakup. "Thanks for the coffee," You start to make your way to the exit, a hand on the glass door before it's covered by another larger one.
"Wait."
You turn, your breath hitching when you're met with a rather broad chest covered in a thin red shirt underneath the denim apron Cass always makes all her staff wear. Your eyes slowly trail up his flushed neck to see Hiro staring down at you with wide eyes, stuttered breaths barely leaving his lips.
He didn't know what to say. God, he has no idea what to say. Why is he saying nothing? Stupid, useless brain.
But even though he couldn't form a comprehensive sentence of simple words strung together, even though for once in his life, he knows what he wants, all he knows is that he can't let you leave the cafe. Not now.
His body moves faster than his brain, jolting out of his seat and racing toward you. His hand reaches out, gently covering yours before you can push past the glass door of the cafe.
"Wait." He can barely comprehend himself speaking, his mind blank once your eyes meet his. His lips part and close, still trying to muster up the courage. To do what, exactly? He doesn't know.
He's an engineer, a programmer, and a superhero. He can do anything! He saved the city of San Fransokyo once or twice already, so why is this so hard?
Why is it so difficult to just ask?
He sees the hope in your eyes diminish, and that's when he knows he's hesitated for too long. You look back down, tucking your hair behind your ear. "I'll see you soon, Hiro." You say quietly, turning back around.
"This Sunday." The words fall past his lips before he realises what he's saying.
"What?" He's got your attention. It's now or never.
"This Sunday," He repeats, a little more confidently this time. "Elementals. And dinner."
"...In the cafe?" A slight gleam of amusement is back in your eyes, a small smile playing on your lips.
"No," He shakes his head with a breathy laugh, "Outside. At a restaurant. You and me."
"Like a date?"
He lifts his head, grinning widely at the genuine smile you finally allow onto your face.
"Like a date."

Big hero 6 keyblade
Tumblr media
For my Sora x Natalia lore, I wanted to introduce Bh6 as keyblade. I've already given some thought to one of his skills.
Honey Lemon: When she spins, she throws her spheres and they will explode creating various spell effects.
Fred: Its ability would be especially for making reactions with ice and pyro.
Wasabi: His weapon would have a function similar to that of his blades, but more powerful.
Hiro: I haven't thought it through yet. Maybe it would have the same function as the San Fransokyo Keyblade.
GoGo: Unfortunately this one I haven't had any ideas, but it would probably have something to do with speed and electro.
Well, that's it. To be honest, I'm embarrassed to tell the lore I have because I don't know how some people would take it. That's why I'm trying to think about whether I should or not....
Well, see you soon. Bye!

It's still wild to me that Big Hero Six never really took off in the comics.
They had a whole movie & TV show, but have barely any presence in main Marvel comic continuity!
Even if the comics combined the OG Big Hero 6 & the movie version for a new comic take, I'd be here for that!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Rather than having Big Hero 6 be based in a fictional locale that combines California & Japan (San Fransokyo), Marvel should let them have a dual base in San Francisco & Tokyo (w/ teleporters between bases)?
It grounds the team more in realism, gives us a less-commonly used Marvel setting (a good deal takes place over here on the East Coast, specifically in New York) & it takes nothing from either culture!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ntm, by reimagining Big Hero Six as a combo of the original comic concepts & the movie concept, Marvel has reason to both bring back Sunfire (automatic Marvel mutant mythos fan boost) AND give us a continuity where fan-favorite Tadashi never lost his life!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Like, all Marvel has to do is get
-Peach Momoko on the story (+ variant covers)?
-David Nakayama on interior art (he did work on the 2nd Big Hero 6 comic run, btw)
Then I'm sure it would win over both long-time fans & newcomers (of the comics and/or the movie & TV show)

Tadashi: I've been dropping them the most insanely obvious hints for like a year now! No response.
Wasabi: Woah, they sound really stupid.
Tadashi: They're not though! Just... dense.
Wasabi: So Fred?
Tadashi: No.
Wasabi: Well, maybe you need to be more obvious? Like, I don't know... "Hey! I love you!"
Tadashi: ... I guess you're right.
Tadashi: Wasabi, I love you.
Wasabi: See! Just like that!
Tadashi: ......
Wasabi: If that flies over their head, then sorry Tadashi but they are way too dumb for you.
Tadashi: Dude.
Honey Lemon, hunched over on the couch as Gogo rubs her back, Fred eating a burger shaking his head disappointingly next to her: This is getting ridiculously hard to watch.

axtually scratch that last one. thats so out of charatcer for hiro hes a fuckign superhero for gods sake
another idea thiugh. what if:
reader was a massive tease. flustered hiro is my everythign
The first idea was alright but if you insist 😊
Hiro with an s/o who loves to tease him sm
Hiro doesn't like being teased.
He'll let it slide once or twice but never the third time.
So everytime you tease him, he teases back as much the next day.
Everytime you tease him about something, sometimes he'll make a remark and you two would go on with your days after that.
Sometimes it's for fun and sometimes is to mock him. But both of you didn't take it too seriously, even when Hiro gets mad over time.
Hiro would tease you back but that would happen only 4 times each day. And some days, it's just one or two.
You'd tease him about his nerdy side and he finds that adorable but irritating.
He even nicknamed you; "The Teaser" in his phone (with a heart).
But you'd stop if it ever rubs on Hiro in the wrong way, and you do not want a grumpy teenage boy who can make robots in days.
When you guys were 13, you were taller than Hiro so you tease him a lot about his height (which ended you with a gruff or a punch).
Even today, he had to do that to stop you.
But, since you guys are best friends/dating, it's harmless (the punching I mean)
He punches you on the arm or shoulder. Never the face. Never. Ever.
You'd give him nicknames, like, Soda Pop or Gummy bear kid.
His favorite nickname was Robotic smartass.
For some reason.
And not everyone likes a teaser. Hiro on the other hand, got used to your teasing and teases you back.
I guess you're rubbing up on him.
"Okay, Robotic Smartass." You said to him whilst you guys are in the garage, working on your project together because Professor Granville put you guys as partners.
"Yeah like a volcano has got anything to do with robot engineering." Hiro says sarcastically while holding up your guys' volcano. Which literally reacts like the real one.
"But this one is engineered by a robotic major." You grinned back and he sigh out of annoyance.
You just laugh in response and smiled at him while he stares at you with a deadpan expression.

||Light ‘em Up|| Chapter Four
Summary: She saved Hiro from bullies and then punched Tadashi when she thought he was one too. She calls herself Hiro’s caretaker, and became Tadashi’s best friend. Now she attends the same Institute as Tadashi as a robotics student. She’s Sakura dubbed Cherry Blossom by Fred. She’s Hiro’s partner in crime, when it comes to annoying his brother and Tadashi’s best friend. Pairing: Tadashi Hamada x Sakura Kamiya(OC) Rating || Genres || Warnings: T. Romance. Angst. Hurt/Comfort. Adventure Previously -  Prologue, Chapter One, Chapter Two, Chapter Three,
As Sakura led the brothers through the door and into the Swimming Pool area she began to feel nervous. Which was ridiculous considering she had never gotten nervous around them for as long as she knew them. Well beside a few moments with Tadashi, especially the time when -
Now was not the time to be thinking about IT!
She shook her head before coming to stand at the side of the pool. No matter what their ideas, and how mad they seemed, they would always pull through. Together. But this was the first time she had ever done a project by herself. She wasn't as brilliant as Hiro or Tadashi. If anybody had to ask her who she thought was the least smartest out of them she would say herself. Both Hiro and Tadashi were extraordinary at what they did, especially the younger boy, considering he had solved a few of her High School math problem she was struggling at, when he was just starting Middle School. She had stared at the boy for thirty seconds straight after he had done that.
Growing up wasn't easy for the 20 year old. And sometimes she would look back and wish for a few things. Wish that they wouldn't have happened. One big thing in particular. But then she would always think to herself that if it hadn't happened, than she wouldn't be where she was now nor would she be the person she was now. And even with all the problems she had to face, growing up, she was happy where she was and who she was.
"So you going for a swim Sakura?"
The black haired girl turned to look at younger boy, her hands resting at her hips as she shook her head.
"Not exactly Hiro." Pointing towards the bleachers, situated all around the pool, she smiled. "Go sit there. Both of you."
As the two boys took their seats in the very firs rows Sakura took a deep breath before crossing her arms across her chest and smiling nervously.
"So I know I've been rather vague about my project with you guys but its something that had to be done." She looked up to see the two brothers looking at her. Hiro with a slightly confused look on his face while Tadashi smiled at her in an encouraging manner. A small shy smile pulled at her lips as she continued.
"I wanted to do this project by myself because I wanted to make myself believe that I am capable of doing robotics on my own and also I-"
"W-wait! Wait Wait!"
The female was cut off when Hiro stood up from his seat his hands held up. Both adults looked at him
"This isn't because of what he said is it?"
A short laugh of disbelief escaped him.
"Cuz if it is then I'm gonna have to go give him a piece of my mind." The boy growled out, a scowl on his face as he started to walk towards the exit, his strides firm and determined for a 14 year old but was pulled back in a headlock by his older brother.
"Tadashi let go!" He grunted as he tried to pull away from his brother's grasp.
"Don't you think you've caused enough trouble tonight, kiddo?" His older brother said, his face showing no signs of trouble at the struggling boy. Hiro humphed before slumping back in place. Tadashi ruffled his hair, grinning, as Hiro pouted and crossed his arms across his chest. Sakura gave a small laugh as Hiro batted his brother's hand away. Walking over to the younger boy she crouched down to his level and shook her head.
"You don't have to worry about that Hiro!" She reassured him as she pushed some of his hair out of his face. Hiro looked at her still scowling. Sakura shook her head once before getting up and grinning, her eyes shining with excitement.
"Maybe this will cheer you up!"
The young scientist flipped at her left wrist where a small lid clicked open from the rash guard and a small hologram screen came up. Sakura turned to look at the two boys looking at her with different expressions on their faces. Tadashi's clearly read impressed while Hiro was staring at the hologram with his mouth slightly open and his eyes wide. Smothering a giggle she quickly touched the pad of her right thumb lightly against the hologram. The Hologram beeped once before shutting down all by itself and going back inside her wrist. As soon as the lid clicked shut something began to happen to her suit. The lines going along the length of her suit started to glow a light blue. The light pulsated a bit in the beginning but then became steady and the young girl stood there with her suit glowing. Spinning around once, to give the boys a full view of her suit, she smiled.
"Well? What do you think?"
"This is so cool!" Hiro immediately leaped to his feet and began to look at the suit from every angle.
"How did you get the hologram? What kind of lights did you use in the suit exactly? Are they like made from the fluid in those glow in the dark sticks we played with? And is it even possible to sew it into a suit which is skin tight? Obviously its not impossible since you've done it!" Reaching up he took of the girl's head band. "And is your head band made from the same material as well and-
"Woah! Woah! Hiro slow down!" Tadashi laughed as he stood up. Sakura was pursing her lips to keep herself from laughing at the younger boy's excitement. A small laugh escaped her, nevertheless, as she grinned at Hiro, who continued to examine the headband, muttering scientific things under his breath.
"You look like a firefly Sakura!"
The girl turned to glare playfully at the older boy who shrugged lightly. Waving a hand in his direction, the girl flipped her hair at him before speaking, her voice adopting a more haughty tone.
"Oh please Tadashi! What do you know about fashion." Tadashi chuckled lightly under his breath as he took an almost involuntary step forward.
"Enough to know that I would look stupid walking around glowing." Sakura could feel the corner of her lips turning upwards in a smile as she looked at the older Hamada standing a few feet away from her.
"Please! This is the next big fashion breakthrough. Go with the Glow." She proclaimed. He smirked.
"And Wasabi's work bench is a mess."
Grinning the girl stuck her tongue out at him while he playfully rolled his eyes at her, the right corner of his lips tilted into a smile.
She really liked that smile of his.
Light brown eyes blinked.
"What?"
Oh crap!
She hadn't said that out loud had she?!
Violet eyes blinked meeting light brown.
"What?" She frowned, trying to make it as of she hadn't said anything, (had she even said anything? Best to act ignorant than anything.) She looked behind her to see Hiro still examining her head band, oblivious to the two adults. Tadashi was frowning at her when she turned to look at him. Suddenly he just shook his head, a sheepish smile on his face as he took of his hat.
"Nothing! I just thought you said something." He ran his hand through his hair once before placing his hat on top of them again, his smile still on his face.
His smile really was nice. (At least she hadn't said that out loud!)
Shaking her head to get rid of the sudden thought (where had it come from anyway?) she plucked her head band from Hiro, putting it on her head again. Placing her hands on Hiro's shoulders she guided him to stand next to his brother.
"Now, stand there!"
Hiro nodded once as he put his hands in the hoodie of his pockets. Tadashi imitated him by putting his hands in the pocket of his jeans. Rolling her eyes at the one of the many similarities the boys shared she took a couple of steps back. Her posture straight, her arms hanging loosely at her sides she took a deep breath before closing her eyes.
For a while it was silent, beside Sakura's deep breathing. Slowly the blue lines along her suit as well as the little circles began to glow faintly and then more brightly. The two brothers watched her as she slowly started to raise her arm at her side.
"Woah!"
The older girl opened her eyes, her arm raised at shoulder level, to see the two boys looking at the pool. Her eyes snapped there as well.
A huge grin split across her face, eyes shining with excitement as she tried her best not to yell out loud with joy.
Barely a few inches away from her hand was a small pillar of water, rising up from the pool.
She wiggled her fingers a bit and the water copied her movements the topmost part of the pillar moving along with her fingers. A small laugh escaped her as she twirled her finger and the water twirled with her. Her eyes snapped to look at the Hamada brothers who were staring at the pool their mouths slightly open. Suddenly smiling mischievously she flicked her hand in their direction. The water followed her movement as it flew through the air, splashing the brothers in the face, effectively snapping them out of their dazed state.
"Hey!"
Sakura laughed as the both spluttered and coughed. A small smile crept up onto Hiro's face before he voiced his thoughts the same time his brother did.
"How did you do that?!"
As the boys looked at her with identical faces of amazement she shook her head, smiling slightly.
She might as well call home and tell them she was going to be late tonight.
This was gonna be one hell of a interrogation.
Sakura grunted as she and Tadashi wheeled her giant chalkboard into the centre of her lab. As he pushed the giant board Tadashi grumbled.
"Why can't you just request a holographic board like all the other normal robotics students here?" He asked. Sakura heaved a breath as she gave the board a final push positioning it where she wanted to.
"Because, and I have told you this before, I like these boards." She answered as she grabbed a jar filled with different colored chalks and setting it on a small stool standing next to the chalkboard. Hiro hummed under his breath, his arms crossed across his chest, as he walked behind the giant board.
"And you also like to draw aliens that breath fire?" He asked before flipping the board to reveal a crudely drawn alien with fire coming out its mouth. Tadashi raised an eyebrow at the drawing.
"Fred been hanging out here?" He asked as he glanced at his friend, who shrugged as Hiro emerged from underneath the board and looked at the drawing as well.
"He was talking non-stop about some new comic he had gotten. It was starting to get a bit too much and a little bit annoying, considering I was trying to meditate. So I had to keep him busy, hence," She waved at the alien. "The drawing."
"Why were you meditating? Hiro asked as he turned to look at the older girl. The girl shrugged.
"Part of my project. Now go sit both of you!" As she flipped the board to get to the clean side the boys made themselves comfortable. Hiro sat on the toolbox he had been sitting on before, while Tadashi took Sakura's desk chair flipping it and sitting down, resting his arms on the back of the chair.
Sighing once the young scientist twisted a loose strand of hair between her fingers before clearing her throat and beginning.
"Well I found the idea for this project when I was reading this history book, where they were talking about how people could control the elements only through their Will Power." She walked forward as she talked picking up a book from her desk and holding it up to show the boys.
"I did a little digging and I found out that they were able to do that because of their High level of Conscious as well as the magnetic frequency of the Earth. In the book it said that how we think effects the magnetic frequency of the Earth, which then effects the object letting us control it." As she talked the young scientist walked towards the chalkboard, picking up a chalk along the way.
"So then I thought that if the Magnetic Frequency of the Earth are effected because of how we think and act why can't we control them through our brain?" Light tapping filled the silence of the lab as the girl wrote the key words on the board.
"And all I needed to control these Frequencies," Here she underlined the word. "Was one basic thing. And that was a high conscious level." She continued, drawing a circle around the word as she did. Glancing back to see the boys looking at her with expressions of confusion she nodded. "And I'll tell you why in a bit."
"Now to gain that level I started to meditate and doing the whole spiritual Buddha thingy as Gogo called it." She added rolling her eyes and giving a small smile.
"Anyway after two whole years of meditation, yes Hiro it took that long and let me tell you it was not easy at all, I was able to achieve a higher level of conscious than the average human being." A proud smile played across her lips as she dwelled on her little success for a few seconds before continuing.
"I once told you guys about the Third and Fourth Dimension." She said as she wrote the names on the board, not looking back. She turned around to look at the brothers.
"Did you manage to store it somewhere in those big brains of yours?" As both the boys nodded she grinned.
"Glad to see you paid attention in that little lecture of mine."
"Seemed more like entertainment to me." Tadashi muttered under his breath, causing his younger brother to snigger. Sakura's cheeks flushed at the comment.
"One time, Tadashi! One time I was more clumsier than usual!" She said her voice higher than usual as she quickly turned around and starting scribbling key words on the board.
Hiro piped up. "Actually that was the tenth ti-" He was cut off by a growl and a glare from the older girl's direction. The 14-year old gave a nervous laugh as he quickly squeaked out.
"You know what never mind." Sakura, smiled sweetly at him cast before casting one last glare at the older Hamada brother, who was still smirking, then turned back around.
"Now! As I told you both before the Fourth and the Third Dimensions exist together and yet they both have different magnetic frequencies," She pointed at the two words written on the board. "And we live in the third dimension." She made a couple of stick figures under the designated word. "Now humans with low level of consciousness, like you two knuckleheads, live in this place and can only connect with the magnetic frequency of this Dimension." She tapped the word 'Third Dimension' with her chalk.
"Of course I live here too," She continued circling a single stick figure. "But because my conscious level is higher than the average human I can feel and connect with the Magnetic Frequency of the Fourth Dimension."
"Now! The Fourth dimension is a place where the molecules, of everything, solid, liquid and gas are placed so far apart that a person's conscious can interact with them." She made tiny circles on the board placed a couple of inches away from each other.
"How you may ask. Well! The high level of consciousness is made of molecules that are placed further apart as well and because the molecules are of the same kind in the fourth as well as my brain the frequency they emit are the same and I can easily connect them." She turned to look at the completely baffled expressions on the boys faces. Grinning she continued.
"And keep in mind that the Fourth Dimension has a Higher Frequency than the Third Dimension." She made a short note in a corner of the board as she spoke.
Turning back around she clapped her hands in front of her. "Anyway! Long story short! I was able to get the frequency reading of the fourth dimension and program it into my head band. My brain can now, and any brain no matter what level of conscious they posses, with the help of the headband, pick up high level of frequencies, which automatically helps the brain to connect with the Magnetic Frequencies of the Fourth Dimension in the environment around a person. The lines along my suit emits a small amount of Magnetic Frequency that attracts the molecules of the object I want to manipulate like a magnet." A triumphant smile played across her lips as she concluded holding her arms out in a ta-da motion.
"Which then allowed me to move the water!"
The few second silence was broken by Tadashi standing up and applauding his friend. "Outstanding!" He grinned as Sakura shrugged her shoulders sheepishly.
"That was amazing!" Hiro exclaimed as he leapt to his feet, clapping as well. Sakura smiled happily as she sighed with relief. "Although I do have one question."
Hiro and Sakura both turned to look at Tadashi as he frowned in confusion.
"Why this invention though?"
Hiro looked at his brother in surprise, as he continued to look at his friend. Sakura's eyes flashed with sadness but she managed to wave her hand in a nonchalant manner.
"It just popped into my head is all!" She gave a short laugh. Tadashi looked at her an eyebrow raised as Hiro merely shrugged and grinned.
"Hey Sakura! Did I tell you that I'm gonna go for SFIT?" Violet eyes widened in surprise as they snapped to look at the younger boy.
"Oh My God! You didn't!"
Tadasho grinned in triumph as he stood up to stand next to his brother, ruffling his hair.
"Yup! I inspired him into joining us!"
Sakura smiled as she ran forward, pulling on both the boys, bringing Tadashi down to her height and pulling Hiro up slightly as she hugged them both.
"I'm so happy. We're all gonna be working together now!" She muttered as she hugged them both closer.
Tadashi chuckled as he hugged her back while Hiro merely rolled his eyes, but hugged the older girl back nonetheless.
"And for the record Tadashi it was my idea!"
The older boy pulled back. "But I was the one who put it into motion."
The girl gave him a dead-panned look as she stepped away from the brothers. "Who called you in the middle of the night to tell you the idea!" She said as she walked towards the door of the swimming pool, locking it.
Tadashi rolled his eyes as he walked towards the door of the lab with Hiro following after him, obviously enjoying the banter.
"Who lured him here?!" He quipped his hand on the handle.
"Who said that it would work?" Sakura shot back, swinging her bag over her head as she walked across the room, turning off the lights as she passed the switch.
Tadashi rolled his eyes as he held the door open for her. "Unbelievable!" He muttered.
"No you're unbelievable!" Sakura was quick to respond as she stepped out of the lab, turning to lock it.
Hiro sighed, smiling and rolling his eyes at the two college scientists.
"Sometimes I wander who's the adult around here." He laughed.
"Zip it, knucklehead!"
Hiro only laughed at the predictable answer he got from both the adults at the same time, before walking over to his brothers mopped.
As Sakura leaned in to check if she had locked her lab properly, Tadashi, who was standing right next to her, quickly took the time to say in a low voice.
"I'll talk to you later on the project." Sakura looked up surprise written across her face. Her friend smiled at her, his eyes shining with sympathy and understanding. Sakura's face morphed into one of sadness and thankfulness as she simply nodded.
"Thank you Tadashi!" The boy only smiled back at her, his hands in the pocket of his jeans while hers played with the strap of her bag. Slowly she smiled back, suddenly feeling shy under his gaze.
                                            ————————-
How does he always manage to know whats wrong with me?
                                            ————————-
How does she always manage to help me out with a kid like Hiro?
                                            ————————-
Their little moment was broken when a loud voice called out.
"Come on guys! Lets go! You can make goo-goo eyes at each other later!"
That seemed to snap the two adults out of their trance as they both exclaimed.
"Zip it, knucklehead!"
Faint blushes were dusted across their cheeks and Tadashi's ears were turning red at the tips.
Hiro only shrugged as he sat on the mopped. "Well its true!"
He was rewarded by an overly large helmet being slammed onto his head.
"Hey!" He protested as he pushed the helmet out of his eyes only to have it pushed down again, this time by his brother. Tadashi started the mopped, his own helmet in place. Sakura strapped her helmet on, as she sat behind Hiro.
The younger boy grumbled under his breath as he straightened the helmet, sitting between the two cellege students.
"Bullies!"
He was rewarded with an elbow being shoved into his stomach, lightly, by his brother and a knock on the head, by the girl he considered his sister, knocking his helmet askew. Hiro grumbled curse words under his breath as he crossed his arms across his chest, slumping down on his seat, as Tadashi started down the path towards home.

[ 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬 ] | [ 𝐧𝐞𝐱𝐭 ] | [ 𝐦𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐦𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭 ]
“I thought we were here to buy Tadashi’s birthday gift.” Hiro crosses his arms, staring unamusedly as you walk through the aisles of a clothes store. You’d been here for an hour, and are no closer to finding a gift for Tadashi.
“Look, just get him a cap!” He groans, wanting nothing more than to get out and go to the cinema already. You glare at him, gesturing to the wall filled with caps of different designs.
“Which one?” He stares at it for a solid moment, pointing at a dark blue cap with the design of a well-known cartoon character on the front. You blink. “You’re joking.”
“I am,” he admits in defeat.
“You’re supposed to help me, not sabotage me,” You point out. He groans again, sliding his hand down his face. “Y’know what, maybe I should get him something else.” Finally walking out of the store, Hiro makes a big show of breathing in deeply, spreading his arms and welcoming the outside.
“You drama queen.” You snort, shoving him slightly. He chuckles, eyes lighting up when he spots a tech store. Before he even asks, you sigh, giving in with a nod. You watch the smile on his face grow bigger with each step, holding in his excitement when he sees the latest tablet or iPhone.
He’s like a kid looking at new toys. You watch him scan each aisle with excitement, grinning as you begin to wander around by yourself. Each section is something completely different, ranging from smartphone accessories to camera parts. You spot a few cameras on display, piquing your interest when you see people trying them out.
“Interested?” The unexpected voice makes you flinch, expecting to see a sneaky salesperson trying to promote their products to earn a commission. Instead, your eyes widen as you register a smug Noah standing in front of you.
“Wha- What’re you doing here?” He ruffles the top of your head with a chuckle. “I thought you might have a shift today at the cafe.”
“Oh, that?” he hums. “I quit.”
“Since when??” He picks up a random camera and hands it to you. Shock doesn’t fully describe how you feel at the sudden news. He’d been working at the cafe for a couple of years, practically the next overall manager if not for the bias your previous boss had against him. You’d thought he’d still stay there even after you were fired, but to hear that he quit is a whole other level.
“It’s fine,” he shrugs, hands in his pockets as he watches you scroll through the camera settings. You hold it up and snap a photo of him, scrutinising how the picture turned out. “I have another job lined up already - I’m starting next month as a personal trainer.”
Makes sense. He’d always been the barista who attracted many customers to the cafe, many girls and older women alike coming by to buy a coffee (and mainly watch him at work). His skin is as smooth as a baby’s butt, and he often gave you tips on your skincare.
The picture turns out fine, though you’re not entirely sold on the camera. You pick up another model, snapping another picture with Noah reflexively holding up a peace sign. “Sounds like you’re making more than before.” You note, taking in the new watch on his wrist and squeaky clean sneakers.
“Yeah, I’ll treat you to a meal sometime. Li misses you, y’know.” The mention of his girlfriend makes you smile, already anticipating meeting her again to gossip about anything and everything. She’s like an older sister to you.
“Can’t wait,” You try yet another camera model, satisfied with the settings and taking another photo of Noah as your test subject. One look at the price, however, makes you wince, setting it back down.
“Hey.” Hiro approaches the both of you, a bag in hand after having purchased something. “Who’s this?” He asks, moving to stand next to you. His shoulders are slightly in front of yours, eyes narrowed as he tries to figure out if Noah’s a creep or not.
“Hiro, Noah. Noah, Hiro.” You introduce them to each other. His shoulders relax when he realises who this is, a small smile on his lips as he returns Noah’s outstretched fist bump.
“What’s up kid?” Noah greets you with a casual nod, glancing between the both of you with a glint in his eye. Oh no. You knew exactly what that meant. “Sorry if I interrupted your…outing.”
“We’re here to get his older brother a birthday gift,” You explain, though Noah’s smirk suggests he thinks otherwise.
“And watch Iron Man,” Hiro reminds you of your promise. Noah’s smirk grows with every word, warmth creeping up your neck and into your cheeks. “Actually, why not just ask him what he wants?”
Before you can stop him, Hiro’s already texting Tadashi about it, the latter instantly replying. He reads the message, rolling his eyes. “Get this, he wants a photobooth strip of us both having fun. What is he, old?”
“Oh no, too bad there’s no photo booths around…” You thought you pulled off your fake disappointment, pressing your lips together sheepishly when Noah raised a brow.
Hiro shrugs. “I’d say no, but he just cashed in the coupon of servitude I gave him last year.”
“Actually,” Noah interrupts, holding up a finger, “there’s a photo booth right next to the cinema. They just put it there yesterday, and there are loads of different designs and props. Have fun, kids!”
He walks away with a not-so-subtle wink directed at you. Luckily, Hiro doesn’t seem to notice, distracted by the cameras you were trying out earlier. “Well, looks like you have his gift settled. Let’s go!”
Saying goodbye to Noah, the both of you head to the cinema and buy the tickets first, Hiro expressing unbridled joy upon getting his hands on the big screen ones. You pay for the tickets, and he pays for the snacks to be collected later. True to Noah’s words, the photobooth is right next to the ticket counter.
It’s surprisingly uncrowded, with multiple rooms inside the store. “We gotta get some props, meet up at room 5?” You ask, already scrounging through the shelves of headbands and sunglasses. You grab a pair of hot pink heart-framed sunglasses, along with a headband with the Super Mario symbol on it.
On the way to the booth, you spot a few more props, pursing your lips before a particular one catches your eye. Grinning, you grab it off the hook and meet Hiro whose arms are filled with more props.
“Looks like we have to decide on four.” He taps the touchscreen, looking through the various options before settling on 4 photos on 2 strips. You dump your stuff into a basket on the floor, grabbing the remote and gesturing for him to hurry up.
The sunglasses are already perched on your nose, and it seemed like Hiro had a similar idea with his own squiggly-framed sunglasses. He laughs upon seeing you. Using your thumb and index finger to slide your sunglasses down the bridge of your nose, you look at him from under your lashes with a wink.
The click of the camera surprises you both, not realising that the timer has already run out. Glancing at the screen, the camera caught your jokingly flirtatious wink and the flush on his cheeks. “You look so dumb,” You giggle, hurriedly preparing for another picture.
He hands you a toy gun and a clip-on tie, adjusting his own and getting into position with his toy gun pointed at you. You raise your hands in surrender, both of you posing as a secret agent catching a bad guy.
The next pose required a little more finesse, however, when you hold up a toy camera and instruct him to do his best pose. You almost collapse from laughing when you see the result on the screen, his lips pursed into a pout with the back of his hand on his forehead, captured mid-swoon.
“Not bad,” He says in amusement, grabbing one last prop. A clipboard is in his hands. You slide the Super Mario headband on his head, adjusting his hair so that the symbol can be seen clearly.
God, his fluffy hair can be both gorgeous and annoying. You move a few strands out of the way before letting out a satisfied hum. Your gaze drops down to his, catching a flicker of amusement in his brown eyes. They soften upon noticing you pause, and you subconsciously suck a sharp breath between your teeth.
The countdown timer for the last five seconds beeps, successfully snapping you out of whatever was between you both at that moment, taking a step back and clear your throat. You slide on the lab coat you’d grabbed earlier, adjusting the collar and facing him with a shy smile.
Clipboard in hand, he holds up an imaginary pen. Once your eyes meet, however, a silence falls over you both. You look away with flushed cheeks, holding up a peace sign as the camera clicks the last picture.
“Looks like we’re done,” Hiro comments. The screen begins to fill with the photos taken, the both of you selecting 2 each. You’d chosen one without any pops, just the both of you smiling cheesily at the camera while Hiro does bunny ears behind your head. Another is the secret agent pose.
The ones he chose were a little different, with one being the swooning pose, while the last is of him waving a wand over your head as you look at him grumpily. They’re perfect. Tadashi better like them, especially after all the hard work you’d put in. Another picture captures your eyes though, an unselected one that had gone unnoticed.
“What about that photo?” It’s suddenly blocked by his hand hovering over it. You look at him, unimpressed by the awkward smile on his face. “Really? Very mature Hamada. C’mon, lemme see how bad you look in it.”
“No- I mean, we already have four photos. Whoops!” He quickly slams a finger against the screen, proceeding to the next page where you can edit the photos with stickers and drawings. However, you’ve already seen the picture, realising that he’d been looking at you when the camera took the photo. His eyes were soft, a small smile on his lips while his hands were held up in a peace sign.
Cute.
You suppress a smile, clearing your throat and leaning back with a shrug. “Looks like we’ll just have to go with these four then.” He breathes out a relieved sigh, trying to brush off his earlier actions as nothing. You, however, notice his flushed ears and stuttered breaths.
You’re no better. Your cheeks feel like they’re on fire, distracting yourself by scrolling through the multitude of stickers before landing on one. Your lips curl into a mischievous grin, exchanging a knowing glance with Hiro before selecting the sticker. “You think he’d laugh at it?”
“It’s hard not to when there’s a Mr. Pringles moustache on each of our faces.”
You nod solemnly. He has a point. All the more reason to put the stickers. Placing down the pen with a satisfied smile, you let Hiro choose the frames for it. The photo strips are only fifteen dollars for three strips, so you pay for three instead of just two. One for Tadashi, one for you, and…
Hiro stares at the last photo strip you hold out to him, raising a brow. “Isn’t this supposed to be Tadashi’s gift?” He’d gone to return the props, giving you the time to mull over how many to purchase.
“There was a promotion for it, so I just got three. Look, if you don’t want it-” You’re about to withdraw your hand when he coughs, interrupting you. He grabs the photo strip, nonchalantly shoving it into his pocket.
“Who said I didn’t want it?” He mutters though you notice that he’s being careful about how he put the photostrip in his pocket. “Besides, this’ll be a souvenir to mark the occasion of Iron Man.”
You suppress a grin. “You’re right.”
