Every time I do a bunch of character interactions with Dirge I realize yet another way in which their low self-esteem impacts their actions. Everybody in the camp is down bad for them (just did the post-goblin leader assassination party) and they’re like. I shall choose the one that is pretending to care about me because I don’t deserve anything better <3.

#I wrote a bunch of silly little notes to myself to figure out why they enter a relationship with Astarion #and ended up fleshing them out a lot more as a result #And said notes ended up being less silly and more depressing #*shaking dirge vigorously* why are you like this!!!#Dirge #oc. Dirge #bg3 #frankly I was shocked Lae’zel propositioned Dirge because I thought that they had pretty low approval?#But it WAS still positive. And in-universe it makes sense because Dirge is a giant beefcake and the only party member with a strength highe #Than 8 who Lae’zel both can physically touch and doesn’t despise
