Mystery-Focused Batman Comic Series Announced

DC Comics has announced Batman: Dark Patterns, a 12-issue lo-fi, mystery-centric, limited comic book series following the World's Greatest Detective. Batman: Dark Patterns hails from writer Dan Watters, artist Hayden Sherman, colorists Tríona Farrell, and letterer Frank Cvetkovic.

Set during Batman's early years as a crime fighter, Batman: Dark Patterns is a series of four self-contained mysteries. Each mystery will be told over three issues. The first arc, "We Are Wounded," "involves a series of sickeningly gruesome murders sending shock waves through Gotham City. Are these the random works of a serial killer, or is there something more sinister at play?" (DC Comics)

Batman: Dark Patterns #1 (of 12) goes on sale on December 11, 2024. The debut issue sports a main cover by Hayden Sherman and a variant cover by Stevan Subic.

Dark Horse has announced another miniseries tying into the video game Cyberpunk, titled Cyberpunk 2077: Kickdown. It’s by Tomasz Marchewka, the principal writer of the Cyberpunk 2077 expansion Phantom Liberty, with artist Jake Elphick, colorist Jason Wordie and letterer Frank Cvetkovic.

"Cyberpunk 2077: Psycho Squad" Follows MaxTac

Dark Horse and CD Projekt Red have announced a new comic book miniseries set in the world of Cyberpunk 2077. Cyberpunk 2077: Psycho Squad hails from writer Dan Watters, artist Kieran McKeown, colorist Giada Marchisio, and letterer Frank Cvetkovic.

"MaxTac, one of the deadliest and most controversial forces in Night City, is deployed against a corpo netrunner turned cyberpsycho. The squad’s mission is to eliminate the target and save lives as long as nothing goes wrong. But with the building on lockdown, the psycho has the facilities and its occupants wired for destruction!"
