Fat Burning With A Quick Tabata Interval Training

What is Tabata interval training?
Tabata interval training style was developed by Dr. Tabata in 1996. The individual works at maximum intensity for 20 seconds, followed by 10 seconds of rest for 8 rounds.
Dr. Tabata found that his subjects doing this style of training, 5 days a week for 6 weeks, resulted in a 28% increase in anaerobic and 14% increase in aerobic fitness. These results were quite ground breaking and, since then Tabata (and other High Intensity Interval Training, or HIIT) have found a place in mainstream fitness for beginners as well as professional athletes.
Why Tabata interval training? What are the benefits?
This goes back to my opening paragraph—most people have tortured the excuse that time for training is nowhere to be found. Tabata puts an end to all that nonsense.
A study at Auburn University found that it would take 20 minutes of normal cardio (i.e. a brisk walk) to burn the equivalent amount of calories in a 4 minute Tabata. Now you’re listening?
While the benefits and results are best achieved by going “all out” (your hardest and/or fastest) during the work period, Tabata training allows you to work up to that intensity with time being your factor, not repetitions. While you may not receive the full benefits initially, you will definitely see benefits by incorporating Tabata training into your workout routine.

2019 Infiniti QX50
After a one-year hiatus, the Infiniti QX50 is back, and it's completely redesigned for the 2019 model year. DRead More by #franciscocortescars at http://franciscocortes.info
Tumblr media
Is the Infiniti QX50 a Good SUV?
Yes, the Infiniti QX50 is a good SUV, but it's not that impressive compared to its more well-rounded classmates. The QX50 has a strong, efficient powertrain that moves the vehicle well around town and on the highway. The inside looks and feels much more luxurious than the previous generation, and the front seats are some of the best in the class. The QX50 also has a lot of available driver assistance technology, and it provides more cargo space than almost every competitor.
But there are also some significant drawbacks. The 2019 QX50 doesn’t have the eager handling feel of the old model, and this redesigned version is less athletic than nearly every rival. The infotainment system's dual touch screens look high-tech, but in practice, the system isn't as good as most competitors'.
Should I Buy the Infiniti QX50?
The 2019 QX50 is not a great choice for most shoppers. There are certainly reasons to like this vehicle, and its below-average price is one of them. However, many features are only available in the top trim, and even then, you have to pay extra for them, so the QX50 isn't the terrific value it appears to be. If you're interested in this SUV, you should also check out the Audi Q5 and BMW X3. You might even want to consider a luxury midsize SUV like the Cadillac XT5.
Should I Buy a New or Used Infiniti QX50?
If you like the QX50 but you're reluctant to spend $36,000-plus for a new one, you might want to consider a used one instead. You can almost certainly find a 2016 or 2017 QX50 for less money (Infiniti skipped the 2018 model year). However, there are notable differences between the completely redesigned 2019 model and the previous generation.
The last generation's V6 engine is replaced by a turbocharged four-cylinder that's less powerful but more fuel-efficient, and the redesigned model doesn't have the playful handling of the old edition. The 2019 model features more cargo space, more standard driver assistance features, and more active safety features – like a head-up display and a semiautonomous driving feature – than the outgoing generation.
Deciding between a new and used QX50 comes down to whether you're willing to pay extra for the more luxurious, more practical 2019 model or whether you want to save some cash and get the more fun-to-drive, previous-generation QX50.

Road Safety Awareness
Texas becomes one of the last states to adopt a ban on texting and driving. It is something that has been in the works since 2011 and was passed but vetoed by then Governor Rick Perry.
Of most concern to him is that the law needs to pre-empt any city laws already in place regulating mobile devices. He would like the laws to be consistent state wide. This would greatly impact at least 45 Texas cities, including El Paso, San Antonio, Denton and Austin, whose laws are currently stricter.

While the Buick mark took a 25-year rest from building convertible models, when they returned to the market with the Cassicocada just a year back, it was an auto that flaunted and showed up precisely the way we need. This auto is an astonishing and appealing model that improves driving and gives you the inclination you need when you pick a Buick. This auto has the four-traveler design that influences it to feel like a stupendous visiting model and it has the lively drive and feels to be a standout amongst the best time autos for you to appreciate out and about.

Raising Safe Drivers: Teaching Road Safety Starts with Parents
#franciscocortesdriving http://francisco-cortes.org
Every day, 11 teenagers die as a result of texting and driving. Despite the fact that 94% of young drivers understand the dangers of using their phones on the road, a startling 35% admit to doing it anyway. In fact, in recent years, distracted driving has quickly surpassed drunk driving as the leading cause of car crashes among teens.
Tumblr media
This surprising statistic raises an important question: why are young drivers so likely to use their phones while driving, regardless of repeated warnings?
While there are many possible answers to this question, one explanation may hit close to home: that they learn the behaviour by observing their parents.
In an article for Forbes magazine, Dr. Robert Glatter warns that parents need to be proactive about setting an example for their children, and that this extends even to modern technology and how we use it.
“As we raise future generations,” Dr. Glatter explains, “the technology that we embrace to communicate and transmit data has the potential to effect our children, not only emotionally or socially, but also physically and place them in danger when not properly supervised.”
in 2012, 17-year-old Liz Marks’ life was changed in a split second when she looked down to check a text message from her mother while driving. The resulting car crash left the teen with a severe brain injury, permanently disfigured, and blind in one eye.
In an interview on the Lauren Galley Show, Marks said she ignored the warnings she had heard about distracted driving, in part, because of how common the practice was among her elders: “Parents are doing it, or adults, and then young people see that and they think that ‘Oh they’re doing it, so it’s OK for me to do it too.”

2019 Lexus NX Hybrid
The 2019 Lexus NX Hybrid finishes in the bottom half of our luxury compact SUV rankings. While there are some high points with this Lexus, including an excellent predicted reliability rating, most class rivals provide better performance and offer more upscale interiors. Read More by #franciscocortescars at http://franciscocortes.info

Is the Lexus NX Hybrid a Good SUV? The Lexus NX Hybrid is a good SUV (the nonhybrid Lexus NX is covered in a separate review). It gets excellent fuel economy, has a terrific predicted reliability rating, offers some nice tech features, and provides spacious, comfortable seats. However, many rivals have more energetic engines, superior handling, more cargo space, and more user-friendly infotainment systems.Should I Buy the Lexus NX Hybrid? The NX Hybrid has a lower starting price than many class rivals, but that doesn't mean you should buy it. It finishes in the lower half of the class rankings for a reason. Instead of this Lexus, consider alternatives like the Volvo XC60 and the nonhybrid Lexus NX. Should I Buy a New or Used Lexus NX Hybrid? The 2019 Lexus NX 300h is part of a generation that began with the 2015 model year. There aren't any notable changes for 2019, but the 2018 model saw a slight refresh that included updated styling, a larger infotainment screen, and several new standard driver assistance features, including a pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, and adaptive cruise control. The 2017 model was the first NX Hybrid to come standard with all-wheel drive. You can potentially save thousands of dollars by shopping for a used NX Hybrid instead of a new one, though older models may not have as many features. If you're interested in a used model, visit our overviews of the 2017 Lexus NX Hybrid and 2018 Lexus NX Hybrid. What is Screen Addiction?
How often do you check your phone? With the rise of the digital age, studies show that more and more people are becoming addicted to their screens. #franciscocortesdriving http://francisco-cortes.org
Tumblr media
A July 2015 poll conducted by Gallup found that 41% of adult smartphone users check their phone a few times an hour, and 11% check their phone every few minutes. When they narrowed the results into the 18 to 29 year-old age range, they found that these figures increased even further, with 51% checking their phones a few times an hour and 22% every few minutes.
“I’ve worked with hundred of heroin addicts and crystal meth addicts,” says ‘Glow Kids’ author Dr. Nicholas Kardaras, “and what I can say is that it’s easier to treat a heroic addict than a true screen addict.”
Fear of Missing Out
Dr. Larry B. Rosen suggests that one of the causes for the rise of screen addiction – in an age when anyone can be connected and plugged in at all times – stems from a common psychological worry: the fear of missing out.
“When you glance at your phone, in the absence of an alert or notification, how do you feel?” asks Dr. Rosen, “I would bet that sometimes you feel happy, like when you read something on Facebook that makes you smile, or watch a video that you then forward to your friends. But I’d also bet that sometimes you feel relief—that you have not missed out on something someone posted or said (FOMO); that nobody is having fun without you; or even that you are among the first to like or comment on a post.”
He adds that adults who suffer from screen addiction may also use their screens as a shield to combat social anxiety – For example, by taking out their phone while waiting in line at the grocery store to avoid having to have a conversation with other customers.
Effect on Children
Screen addiction isn’t just affecting adults, however, but psychologists warn that it is also having a large impact on children.
“One of the most amazing things that I observed was that kids raised from an early age on a high-tech/high-screen diet suffered from what seemed to be a digital malaise,” claims Dr. Kardaras, “They lacked a natural curiosity and a sense of wonder and imagination that non-screen kids seemed to have. They didn’t know—or care to know—about what was happening around them in the world. All that seemed to drive them was a perpetual need to be stimulated and entertained by their digital devices.”
This, argues Dr. Kardaras, is because the passive stimulation of glowing screens risks replacing creative play at a pivotal stage of brain development, when the body is building the most neural connections, and this can have a negative impact on imagination and curiosity.
Another major problem is that screen addiction in children may interfere with the development of important social skills. A 2015 study by the Pew Research Group, for instance, found that only 35 percent of teens socialize primarily through face-to-face interactions, compared to an alarming 63% who socialize mostly through text messages.
