3Ding my TWDG fanfiction with Juno

To celebrate me finishing chapter one's art renderings, iiiiiii redid Rachel's EP1 model 🙃

Here's a list of noticeable changes for this new model!

Nose is a bit slimmer, would've liked it more button-y but it started warping her cheeks and eyes too much.

Lips look a bit more thin, but not on purpose. Her old model's lips were so thin that the armature would deform too much if you posed her to smile, causing me to make them appear fuller in Photoshop.

Even though her hair is an edit from Talia, the old model's hair was too choppy and constantly clipped with her head. I'd have to frequently re-sculpt it in-between renders.

Gave her collar a solidify modifier to make it more 3D and less transparent.

Dress is a bit more saturated, has polka dots. Based on Peter Pan collared dresses from the 60s. Her dress was actually inspired by Fran Bow's dress and it originally had a blue bow on the front, but it clipped too much.

Gave her a red, de-saturated headband to match her boots. Made it more de-saturated as to not take too much attention from everything else.

Made her countenance slightly more narrow, fuller cheeks. Fixed where the head and body separate, so the seem isn't that noticeable.

Made her hair a bit longer. It's not full sculpted in the way I want it to be, but it's great for now!

Fixed the scale of her head. It's probably not noticeable but I had to scale Rachel's head in post before it was smaller than Clementine's. Having Clementine as a "for scale" while modeling makes everything easier, by-the-by. (P.S, Rachel's supposed to be an inch shorter than Clem but pretend she is here for me kk?)

Her eyebrows aren't long in the photo because originally her eyebrows appeared longer due to me stretching the mesh to much. I mistakenly did this with her face a lot, prompting a model remake.

Made the bridge of her nose/the gap between her eyes a bit wider.

Also shrunk her eyes, as they were too doll-like and didn't want to cooperate with her eyebrows when it came down to posing.

Her dress is an edited version of Clementine's episode one dress, but it floated off her body too much, and clipped with her underarms.

In other Blender modelling news, I uhhh have all the rendered pieces for Chapter 1 complete, NO I won't redo them right now just because I edited Rachel's model, ask me again later!

There's 14 renders in total, and they're placed between dialogue like this:

Side note, before I compose anything, I highlight any dialogue/scene in a separate version of the chapter that I want to give an art scene attached to it.

What else, what else... Oh! I'm going to finish this revamped model and get back to working on Chapter 12! I'm almost at the midway point of Season One, so that's exciting (cries in I'm not ready for Season Two) ⭐🍎

OOH OOH OOH!! I got a couple Layton OCs(NOT self shipping related!)I'm hyperfixating on atm that I haven't posted about yet so THIS IS MY CHANCE!!

This girlie is an OC I made for this Flora story concept I'm working on! Her name is Francesca Wong, but she prefers to be called Fran!

Fran is an ace lesbian on the autism spectrum! In this story, Flora attends university and meets Fran, who attends the same robotics class as Flora and is often her lab partner in class projects. The girls quickly bond over their shared passion for robotics, and soon become an unstoppable duo(who may or may not develop feelings for each other in the future.👀) Electronics are Fran's passion, specifically electronic toys are her favorite thing to make and tinker with. Fran has her own toy boombox music player that she regularly upgrades so that she can add more songs to the music player's system at her leisure.(She also loves music btw😊) Fran isn't very skilled at conveying her emotions and always speaks in a deadpan, almost sarcastic tone, so she'll often come of as standoffish, reserved or even cold. Not many people at uni dare to approach her, as she always seems to have this upturned sneer on her face, but that's just her resting face. She may not know how to outwardly express it, but Fran loves what she does and she loves sharing what she loves with others.

To a majority of people, Fran is very hard to read most of the time due to her minimal facial expressions. In the beginning, Flora had trouble holding a conversation with the other girl since Fran isn't really one for small talk(or talk in general, especially when she focused hard on a task lol💀😅) and often times, Flora couldn't really tell if Fran was being sarcastic or if her words were sincere. But once they got to know each other a bit better, it got easier for Flora to understand what Fran was feeling. If she was excited, frustrated, nervous, disappointed, she would automatically pick up on it. Overall, they enjoy spending time with each other as they trek through their academic journey together. Flora is glad to have a friend who appreciates her and makes her feel wanted, and Fran is glad to finally have someone who actually listens to her and at least tries to understand her without being condescending about it.

That's most of the info I have on Fran so far! This story idea is still a WIP and I'd love to write it out and flesh out Fran and her relationship with Flora further someday!❤🍎🎀💜⚙👒
