#michel polnareff#what a charming little weirdo#there are similarities in music & awkwardness with dutronc...#after all they rose to fame at around the same time as funny little guys with mod-ish novelty songs.#but i dont think they ever hung out. theyve never talked about each other. well i have seen one picture where#françoise jacques and michel are all sitting on a couch being interviewed#but what's funny is that usually when this picture is shared michel gets cropped out haha. 'cause he's less famous and less cool-looking.#to me jacques is less of a hippie / more conventional. also seems more guarded. maybe less crazy or potentially annoying than michel.#i feel like a lot of people probably thought michel was too offbeat to befriend…#photographer jean-marie perier who was francoise and jacques’ close friend has said that he was puzzled by michel’s style transformation#and thought that he chose to hide behind a persona because he was not happy with himself#but thats just his kind of judgemental opinion as someone who didnt want to become friends with the freak#anyway. i love infodumping in tags
