☞ 3/100 days of productivity— ☾ now playing: new york

it’s currently lunch time! i went out of campus by myself to eat and go over the notes i made for my japanese class over the weekend. this morning, i took my first long exam for history and there was literally a WORD SEARCH section. i was so confused. anyway, my japanese long exam is tomorrow so i’ll be spending the rest of the day brushing up on vocabulary words!

it’s a monday but classes got cancelled bc of a national transport strike. the government is really testing my patience today. i’ve been studying for my history exam the past few hours and so many lines from my readings are so timely and i’m furious! ! !

🌿 i got the results from two of my typography plates and i did so well i got so soft :^( my professor put such nice comments and one of them went over the highest possible score i... perhaps i am not... bad at everything,...

🌿i only had two classes today! so i spent the rest of the afternoon either with my friends or, once again, studying for japanese :^) i also borrowed a library book for a paper i have due on monday (which QUITE FRANKLY we were given so little time to do please save me)

oh my god!!! save me. my oral exam is tomorrow at 4pm and it’s like 2am right now... did some studying at the laundromat because i had to take my sheets to get washed :( when i got home i saw one of my dogs had peed on my bed so like. wtf KSJFBKSBF. good thing the laundromat had outlets and nice tables. anyway, this day was quite grim so i hope the rest of the week is kinder. and that my orals go well :( wish me luck...

it’s midterms szn and i am: quaking... i have my oral exam for philosophy on tuesday :^( i’m not very good at oral exams because i have this tendency to talk before i formulate strings of thought in my head... the rest of this afternoon is for going over all my readings so far! going on a date with jaspers, heraclitus, and heidegger brb 💋(also check out my favorite mug... the constellations appear when it’s hot!!)

today didn’t start off very well, i felt too sad to go to my first two classes so i went to the library to study for my japanese exam instead. i got to snag this seat in the library i’ve been eyeing for so long (i Love natural light)

also because there’s something freeing about crying while listening to soft acoustics and watching the trees.

spent most of the evening working on my homework for typography class! it’s pretty fun, i’ve only done two out of three but it’s going great so far. we have to redesign five things with poor typography so i’m doing a bunch of well-meaning posters that just happen to be... ugly..

finally got around to starting my october spread! (re)starting in a new notebook because i’ve grown to dislike the paper on my last one.. akdhsjdhadsa.. anyway, i had my japanese exam today and all i can say is that it could’ve been Worse! i treated myself when i got home by playing breath of the wild for like two hours :D

posting this late!!! but i am too lazy to take pictures... so i will make a bulleted list of the things i did yesterday :^) 

🌿 got to school a bit late but made it in time for my history class presentation! it is honestly one of my more Boring classes but the presentation went Alright :-) 

🌿 i am so sick!!!! i forgot to bring tissues to my first class (which was history) so i felt so gross and sick the whole time since i couldn’t blow my nose ksfkaafkaffn

🌿 a lot of my classes weren’t meeting so i really only went to school for history (9-11AM) and my philosophy oral exam (which was at 4pm), so in my free hours i just studied and went to this in-school protest (yahoooooo dont u just... love problematic institutions...) 

🌿 my philosophy oral exam went super well! my professor does it conversation-style, and he’d rebutt the things i’d say and honestly it was such an engaging discussion! we’re usually allotted 10 minutes but i went on for 13 and i didn’t even realize it because he didn’t interrupt me :( and he said he enjoyed listening to me as i was about to leave... i hope it is a Good Sign

🌿 i spent the rest of the day either feeling sick or playing cards with my friends to treat myself!!! i only worked again before going to bed, since i have so much work left for the week..

oh my god u guys it’s already That time of the semester. it is one in the morning and i’m working on ten pages of japanese homework and the table beside me has a slowly growing pile of snot-clad tissues. 

pls take care of urselves, wash ur hands, eat fruits, drink water!!! being sick AND stressed is one of the worst combinations ever!!! :(
