Flight Rising: Harlequin/Jester Genes

A pair of colorful and whimsical patterns that I designed for the modern dragon breeds of Flight Rising. I spent months creating this pair of gem genes; getting those checkered patterns to look nice was quite challenging for me. I also got assigned to select the swatches this time around, which was just a delight. I tried to give each color equal amounts of love. I'm really proud of work I've done for these. It has made me immensely happy to see other people enjoying them and creating beautiful dragons sporting these genes!

Flight Rising: Pharaoh/Sarcophagus Genes

Ominous and regal black markings with vibrant accents that I designed for the modern dragon breeds of Flight Rising. This pair of primary/secondary genes was my first set of gem genes that I worked on, and the first one that utilized black markings throughout all colors (like how Piebald/Paint features white splotches), which was really exciting for me!

The Ultimate FR Gene Survey RESULTS!

We polled 240 Genes altogether - all the Modern/Parallel and Ancient Primaries, Secondaries, and Tertiaries. This graph shows the spread of winning results throughout every gene:

Overall, FR Genes are Liked. A higher percentage of Modern genes are Loved (27.9%) than Ancient genes, which are Loved at 18.6%. No (exclusively) Ancient Genes are Disliked.

There were only 3 majority Dislike genes: Mosaic, Smirch, and Keel.

No Genes were majority Hate. 12 Genes received No Hate At All: Shell (Veilspun), Flair, Darts (Sandsurge), Spinner, Saddle, Noxtide, Flameforger (Aberration) (Banescale), Web (Veilspun), Tear (Banescale), Fade, Blaze, and Riopa (Auraboa).

Most Loved: Flair (by a lot) Most Liked: Weathered (Gaoler) Most Neutral: Spirit (Gaoler) Most Disliked: Smirch Most Hated: Keel (by a lot) Most Controversial: Space (Aether) (ended on majority Love but is also the most Hated Ancient tert)

The day Hinata meets Kageyama Miwa, he's completely awestruck, because she's just so uwahhh pretty. I imagine she's visiting her hometown for the first time in a while, so this could be at the Kageyama household, or maybe even at Karasuno, if she wanted to watch her brother play for a bit.

Either way, Hinata is trailing after her the whole time, blushing madly and stuttering and overall making a fool of himself every time she talks to him. Hinata can't help gushing about her, so at some point, he pulls Tobio aside and whispers to him, completely thoughtlessly, "Dude, your sister is so pretty! She looks just like a female version of you!"

Now, Tobio was already pissed enough about this whole thing, that was just the last straw. He explodes, shouts "Then why are you drooling all over her, you runt?!" and smacks Hinata in the head.

And maybe the force of the blow knocks something into place inside his brain, or maybe it was the fact that he got called out on it for once, but Hinata has the sudden realization that he looks at both boys and girls in a weirdly similar way.

Cue bisexual panic.

For how much it keeps being mentioned, I almost want the last reward to not be Fathom egg/scrolls but Scale Scurvy instead (as a tert, the same way gembond is)
