Please tell us about ur egoraptor
my Son my child im so glad you asked.
so my egoraptor is an alien from another galaxy (unnamed species cause im not That creative) but they’re very critter like! the closest resemblance is a cat mixed with a bear, probably.
MORE BELOW THE CUT!
• danny and ninja brian found him on one of their intergalactic journeys and had a moment of “OH MY GOD NINJA BRIAN CAN WE KEEP HIM??”
from there they just kind of drag him along on adventures (and write awesome video game raps in the meantime)
• ego is also sonics biggest intergalactic fan. me and one of my friends made a headcanon that earth contraband is illegal, but somehow he got his hands on something sonic related, so he had a super secret hidden stash on his home planet of only sonic related things. (which is also how he taught himself english)
• ego has a huuge crush on danny btw. so does ninja brian. but danny is too enamored with girls so ego and ninja brian get really close and they start dating. but dont worry, Danny eventually gets his head out of his ass and they become a polycule.
if you read all of this nonsensical blabbery Thank u here are some misc doodles

Rating 500+ Theme Tunes - #5: Ultimate Muscle
Wrestling and anime is such a beautiful tag team to be seen so rarely. Ultimate Muscle is the localised name for Kinnikuman: Second Generation, which is actually a sequel to the original Kinnukuman. The original never reached the West outside of some weird M.U.S.C.L.E. toys, but this sequel was localised for the FoxBox block, a.k.a 4Kids, as well as airing on Kix and other channels internationally. It follows Kid Muscle and other superhero wrestlers continuing the legacy of their famous parents.
For the number one wrestling fan you know, I actually didn't watch that much Ultimate Muscle. However, that was still a good deal, and was not for a lack of trying. This show aired on Kix over here in the UK, which I would often watch whenever there was nothing on its sister channel Pop. This show's airing schedule there never really lined up for me, and I would often miss it as a result.
At the same time, I thought this show was real cool! I really like the way it looks today, and I always enjoyed the outlandish takes on the world of wrestling! So many of Kid Muscle's moves are super cool to be honest with you. I would absolutely love to watch through this one today, even if some of the humour and tone are not exactly aimed at me. I just love a cool wrestling story!
Looks like there's been enough talk. It's TIME for the THEME SONG RANKING!
Ultimate Muscle Theme Tune
This theme song is absolutely ridiculous. Giant brassy notes, endless rhymes, "Strength and speed and... flatulence?". Absolutely no notes. I think it's super super goofy, but I gotta be honest with you: I love it and it works. Say what you will about it as a dub, but this song fits that dub to a tee as far as I remember. It's a really catchy tune too, I'm always singing it to myself with all the different voices they incorporate, all four of them. Mike Pollock as Meat, you will always be famous. It's a truly wild song, but I think you simply have to love it. You can't make SIX consecutive rhymes without being somewhat beloved.
This one might be controversial, but I actually think this is getting an A! I promise there's some themes I dislike...
Stay tuned for more and be sure to send in any suggestions for other shows you'd like to see done (after the 500 already in the pipeline that is). Check out the intro to this series here, and it's tier list time.

What do you think about animation’s respectability politics?
Oh man oh man where to begin with this Good one, this topic might make me emotional, Nostalgic, and transparent.
Now, I'll try to articulate as much as possible, cause there's a lot going on with today's society and how we Poc or Bipoc Are seen.
(Meaning People of Color & Black Indigenous People of color.)
This will not only affect my way or others' views of today's media from the 80s and today's 2000s cause as a person born in the 90s.
i have alot to say on how we come along way from today's media, watching all forms of animation, be it episodic or story-driven shows, of every genre, but theres one topic no one dont want to open about is how we see each other in forms of media so where gonna get donw to the first years of my life and how it effected me
The Raging 80s & 90s (The open space for resolving politics & steppingstone to cultural appreciation.)
This was the pinnacale of golden age animation that trailblazed so many ideas, great shows and driven packed series & francshies, i feel this was a excellent time to see.Which had very provactive engaging storytelling made up for it,
(without the whole lgbt themes getting in the way be it good or bad we'll get to that soon.)
however There were certain times we never had premoninet characters, main main characters if you will, never gained any limelinght or just a magic or Token black being a side piece or disposable best friend without reasonnig leaving the show,
(Disney shows im looking at you with a bomb bastic SIDE EYES later on.)
that are underused to a degree in 80s animation which atsome point were depicted good.
(exception of kid n play show in the 90s being a prominent cast of colorful cast & movie series or fat albert being a first main character howver he has at times can promote harmful stereotypes.)
check out this beautiful empowerment article
but anything girl theme like jem from the 80s where i saw shana was ago to for black girl empowerment.
but however we have 90s example had harmful ones done in the most gaudy ways say example family matters urkel, & Great Exhibits of good poc rep Like Storm From Xmen,
may i say it was a truly a good time to be beautiful in my own skin and how to love yourself if you saw yourself in said character in your favorite show, where you had so much freedom seeing black people be powerful yet building the road for beautiful melanin folk to rise being happy in there skin.
Now for the dark days of todays
Todays depiction of black media 2000s So on THE DARK DAYS but theres light
with black animators and viewers finally seeing the great stamp that shows our culture being on televison shows put into media set the tone and bar in todays media but,
This is the years wear we as people have been see or degraded in the disrespected, from black face on youtubers to freaking damn controversys on stars wars casting its first black warrior along the african ariel debuncle ( which i find stupid)
I feel in todays media they really dumb down our self worth to try to make a profit off our culture, seeing it done beforehand on animation
YOU GUESS IT DISNEY (which understandable they had there controversys coming,)
which there some shows that show good represnetation with bad and flawed stories that dont paced well or just written in the white eyes for the audience, cause in todays world anything can be fixed with lgbt themes at the cause of proper stories to for the sake of appealing for profit, out of our pockets. so i feel todays media run these types of steroetypes to filth 247 in media.
heres a the gloriyfied tropes they try to depct on us that are harmful to this day everyone even social meda and tiktok
At the point i feel theres alot of work for todays future animators, creators to have better inclusion and open minded options to appease to other viewrs and true fans of great storytelling to tell for generations
But it have been great positive lgbt tropes which sometimes can make or break a show
Article here
Hope this answers all Thanks from The Daystar Voyage
Also DISNEY NEEDS TO BE BLACK OWNED ONE DAY LOL

On YouTube? 28 years ago was 1996. FoxKids/FoxBox (then 4Kids, then CW4Kids, then Toonzai, then Vortexx) started airing in 1990 and continued well into the 2010s. Other networks also had some big shows (Yugioh was everywhere lol). I'd be kind of shocked if 28-year-olds managed to avoid an entire childhood of network-aired anime and not see their first anime until their teen years. I wouldn't be surprised if people might have forgotten some of these English-aired anime tho, so let's dive into some history/fun facts! When a current 28-year-old was a preteen, this was on network (non-cable) TV:
I'm also including this real, actual ad that aired in 2006 to promote 4Kids because it's a treasured part of dubbed anime history lol. This is a great example of how cringe anime marketing used to be, and also of what YouTube quality used to be like:
youtube
Here's a list of some of the anime airing on Fox and WB in 2000-2010. Needless to say, this isn't all the anime that aired on network TV in North America at the time, but I'd be surprised if an adult over 25 hadn't seen at least one (like One Piece?). Pokemon gets an honorable mention since it's specifically excluded from the poll; it started airing in English in 1999 and hasn't stopped. Cardcaptors Dragonball/DBZ (another one that started before I was born and went for decades) Digimon Digimon Adventure 02 Digimon Tamers Digimon Frontier Every generation has a Pokemon, a DBZ, and a Digimon haha
Sailor Moon (please note this could be confusing some of y'all: it originally aired in NorthAm in 1995, but also re-aired in 1997, 1998, and 1999-2002, so that's why people in different age groups remember it lololol)
Another fun and little-known fact: when Sailor Moon first came over, NorthAm tried to give it the Power Rangers treatment. They made a more Western-style animated pilot and paired it with live action sequences (and merch, of course).
youtube
Here's a much more in-depth look at the history of English Sailor Moon if you're interested.
Megaman NT Warrior Dinozaurs Escaflowne Medabots Mon Colle Knights Fighting Foodons
Transformers Transformers: Cybertron Kirby: Right Back at Ya! Ultimate Muscle Shaman King
Astro Boy Sonic X F-Zero GP Legend Viewtiful Joe
One Piece Spider Riders Tokyo Mew Mew Magical DoReMi Yugioh Yugioh 5Ds Dinosaur King
A lot of non-cable channels stopped licensing anime by 2010 since cable networks had picked them up, and since YouTube had come a long way by then.
Some YT history: YT launched in 2005. In 2007 they added text on screen (like for translations). In 2010 the video length limit was raised from 10 minutes to 15 minutes, and quality was upped significantly. This created an explosion in (illegally) uploaded shows, since a typical TV episode would now fit into just 2 parts. Between this and the expansion of anime to US/NorthAm cable channels, regular non-cable channels kind of bowed out of the anime licensing game (although there was a last gasp in the form of CW Vortexx from 2012-2014).
To place this in the timeline, 2011 is when The Amazing World of Gumball started and that Thundercats anime reboot happened.
Also just as a fun fact, anime started broadcasting in the US all the way back in the 60s (the original Astro Boy in 1963)!
Anyway I hope you enjoyed diving down this anime history rabbit hole or just reliving some forgotten shows from your childhood. If you'd like more nostalgia, here are teeny tiny clips of 100 anime openings from the 2000s:

edit: THIS POST BREACHED THE CONTAINMENT OF THE TARGET AUDIENCE, "28-YEAR-OLDS WHO SAW THEIR FIRST ANIMES IN PIECES ON YOUTUBE DURING THEIR TEENAGE YEARS." PEOPLE WHO WATCHED SAILOR MOON WHILE SIPPING APPLEY JUICE IN PRESCHOOL I'M SORRY I GUESS THIS ONE ISN'T FOR YOU
