INTRODUCING: Quinlan Vos, Professional Bestie
two IGMHC vignettes
“I— had a friend,” Ben says. “Growing up. At least for a little while.” - Obi-Wan, chapter 2, IGMHC
HUMAN SACRIFICES ARE ONLY PASSÉ WITH THE WRONG ATTITUDE
Fox ignores him. “Cody, I’m this close to a murderous rampage.”
Vos brightens. “Cody! The one who’s fucking a Si—“
“That’s Marshal Commander Cody,” Cody says icily and even Fox needs to suppress a shiver. “Who the fuck are you.”
“How do you even know ,” Fox starts and recoils from the wink Vos throws him.
“Shadow, remember? It’s my job to know more than is strictly healthy for me.” Vos nods his chin to the comm. “ Marshal Commander Cody, tell Obes his childhood bestie would like a hello sometime.”
“You know him?” Fox whispers harshly - yells, but whose narrative is this, thanks - while Cody mutters an incredulous “ Obes ?”.

TRUTH-INCINERATOR CAUGHT MAKING FRIENDSHIP BRACELETS, MORE AT 11
The past worn like a mask because of how Obi-Wan was is useful to how he now is. And, if the faint rumors are true, spoken so hushed within the confines of the council chambers only, the relicts have turned into goals again. To make what once was true again.
Quin’s head spins from the spirals Obi-Wan has contorted himself into.
“Is that so,” Obi-Wan comments quietly, watching him back. “My heart warms from your efforts. A cup wouldn’t go amiss either.”
Quin inclines his head. “Sorry, we’re not at the best buds level where I trust you with anything that can be used as a weapon.” The preparations for this meeting had been endless and frustrating. No weapons on either their persons so Obi-Wan couldn’t use Quin’s lightsaber against him. A Force suppression collar around Obi-Wan’s neck which doesn’t seem to bother him at all. Thick gloves on Quin, no sliver of skin bare for taking advantage of his psychometry. Master Windu had thoroughly gone over Quin’s shields with him. The Council had left nothing unprepared.
“You don’t fidget as much as when we were younger,” he says. He gotta start somewhere, silence has never been his forte, and suddenly it’s vitally important to understand the line that had been drawn somewhere and cut his best friend out of Quin’s life. “You used to always do something with your hands.” Obi-Wan had needed the stimulation. To concentrate, to expense restlessness, to focus away from anything and everything overwhelming.
Yellow eyes continue to look at him. There’s pity in them now. “It’s been beaten out of me.”
Quin grins, quick, regretful and unsurprised. He can imagine, colorfully, and his heart breaks a little more. “Your words have always known where to cut deepest and quickest.”
“Thank you.”

Imagine: Turning into The Dark side ( instead of Anakin)
( Ahsoka, Anakin, Obi wan)
You were in Ashoka’s crèche growing up, honestly one of her best friends.
Ahsoka would eventually match so well with Skyguy because she too had little chill
So you were the perfect partner for her — skilled enough to keep up with her in all her shenanigans but cautious enough to help warn her away from the first plans that went through her head
Ahsoka, after being paired with Skyguy, kept the thought that you’d do well under Master Obi in the back of her head
Instead, to the surprise of pretty much the entire Temple — Quinlan Vos had swooped in and asked you to be his new padawan
And equally surprising, you hadn’t spent much time thinking it over before you agreed
You confided in Ahsoka a few months later that you had felt the Force nudge you into agreeing and that you had personally thought you needed a Master that would help you step outside of your small comfort zone, help you learn to stand on your own feet
And you did!
Quinlan left you with Master Obi a lot — Quinlan was involved in a lot of heavy missions, things that he didn’t want to drag a brand new Padawan into so the 212th had an occasional baby Jedi Commander with them
(And Ahsoka was pleased to find out you worked fabulously with Master Obi — it only took you a week to master Obi-Wan’s signature disappointed look, all hip cocked and extreme frown and raised eyebrow. You stopped both Quinlan and Skyguy flat out with it the first time you broke it out on them)
But you’d been with Quinlan for long enough he finally felt confident enough to bring you with him on a run of the mill mission — something relatively easy to start dipping your feet into the undercover work he was helping you train in
Ahsoka guessed you had spent to long with the 212th and the 501st — you had picked up their bad luck — because it had only taken a day on the ground for things to go catastrophically wrong
Quinlan swore to anyone that was around him that he had only looked away from you for less than a minute but in that time you had been taken
It had to have been a professional group because Quinlan had immediately leapt into action and had tore apart your last known location, even dragging in his favorite clone Commander Fox and the entire Corrie guard but you were nowhere to be found
It had wrecked a lot of people when the news of your disappearance came out — you had been known and close to quite a few different Corps and it had devastated all of them
Ahsoka knew that no one ever completely gave up the search for you but eventually the rest of the War took over and finding you became a secondary or tertiary objective for most everyone
Not Quinlan though. Ahsoka knew he was still tearing his way through every dark corner and whispered boogeyman to find you
The Council had let him do so because a) they wouldn’t be able to stop him if they tried and b) his efforts were weeding out quite a few undesirables — not necessarily in ways the law abiding citizens approved of but Quinlan, even in his obsessive search for you, was careful to not present himself as a Jedi
Now though, Ahsoka had to hope that Quinlan hadn’t found you, would never find you…
The red of the lightsaber illuminated the corridor quite nicely. Certainly enough that Ahsoka couldn’t argue with herself — it was you in front of her, eyes a sickly yellow and a new hilt humming in your hand. The buzz of your lightsaber was the only sound Ahsoka could hear, even drowning out her heart breaking.
Your name slid from her lips without Ashoka’s knowledge and shattered the uneasy silence that had grown between you.
“Little ‘Soka isn’t so little anymore is she?” The words were purred, the malice dripping from your lips ripping right through her. Ahsoka tried to stop herself from flinching away from you but she feared she failed.
Lowering her hands to her sabers, she shifted into a ready position. She wasn’t going to let you get away again, no matter what had happened when you were taken. Quinlan had come back to the Light and Ahsoka knew he’d be by your side the entire time as they yanked you back to the Light.
“Oh? Does Little ‘Soka think she’ll be able to stop me?” You pouted at her in laughter, confident in your skills but Ahsoka didn’t let that deter nor distract her.
Ahsoka was a Jedi, she was a hunter who wore an akul headdress, and she had your scent. You weren’t going to get away from her again.
Again, you were a crèchemate with Obi-Wan, bold and brash and confident
You were a few years younger than the rest of the group but you had some pretty extreme shields guarding your mind that made you the perfect partner for either Quinlan, who’s psychometry wasn’t yet under his control, or Obi-Wan, who’s connection to the Force left him with pretty severe nightmares and visions that he often unknowingly projected around himself
You had been born with strong shields and that gave you the perfect protection against those two and so you had been quickly moved into their room as a buffer
Their clan had been kinda insular, most everyone making quick and sure friends with everyone — you had fit right in, quickly catching up with where everyone else was study wise
You had been the last one to get a Jedi Master and you credited it mostly to Obi-Wan that you had gotten one at all
While Obi was settling into being Master Qui-Gon’s padawan, you made a menace of yourself, invading their space frequently
This led you into being noticed by Dooku
Dooku and Qui-Gon famously Did Not get along but Dooku never really let that stop him from watching over his padawan
And he was amused by your determination to insert yourself into his Lineage’s lives but he felt that you rough edges were just a little too rough
And he was sure that he could smooth them out — not into a stone but into a knife, sharp and deadly
It was a subtle affair when Dooku asked you to become his padawan. He had asked your teachers to let him test your various table manners over a many course meal meant to simulate a variety of different systems customs
It really wasn’t something that was done but Dooku is Just Like That and he managed to slip it between questions about the rules of silverware during a Royal Naboo dinner and the correct way to seat dignitaries at an Alderaan banquet
Your partnership with Dooku brought him and Qui-Gon closer because now when you invaded their rooms, you always brought Dooku with
The partnership you held with Dooku was rocky to start but he had a strong Will and strong opinions on the correct way to behave but it wasn’t until you saw the way he insulted over 2 dozen different people during a senate debate without anyone knowing that you buckled down to learning his ways
You spent a lot of time on diplomacy missions but you were also sent on a lot of missions with the Jinn/Kenobi pair
You were actually supposed to be on the mission to Naboo that ultimately led to Qui-Gon’s death
Unfortunately, you had suffered a pretty severe broken leg from goofing around with Quinlan and Obi-Wan beforehand that led you to be Temple bound for a few weeks while it healed and Qui-Gin snuck out with Obi-Wan before Dooku could decide whether he wanted to stay with you or go with them
That…caused a lot of unspoken tension when Qui’s death was announced — you started to blame yourself for getting injured but also Quin and Obi for going so far in what was supposed to be a friendly afternoon, Obi-Wan felt like you had started the roughhousing that ultimately meant you were absent when he needed the help the most, Dooku was mad that Qui-Gon left without him, mad that Obi-Wan was part of the reason you were injured enough to require a long healing rest, and mad at you for getting injured
All of this was paired with his feelings about the senate and the roll the Jedi played in the Galaxy so he left. And he Fell
You stayed in the temple. At that point you had passed your trials to become a Jedi Knight and it took a couple of days after Dooku left before you heard the news
But it was hard after that
Your Lineage now had 2 fallen Jedi in it plus Qui-Gon’s maverick ways and Obi-Wan’s new padawan who was too old and too angry and just too much
Obi-Wan had sequestered the two of them away so that Obi could focus on making sure Anakin quickly caught up and that meant all of the Temple’s scrutiny and attention fell on you
You honestly lasted longer than you thought you would but about 2 years after your master Fell, the final straw came and broke the camel’s back
You had been a model Knight in those years, with several wins and successes under your belt. During one of those missions, you had found a force sensitive child and had brought them back to the Temple
The council saw the way the two of you interacted and guessed that you would be asking to become their master as soon as they were old enough
They spent a few weeks watching over your interactions with the child and knew their guess was right
They called you in for a meeting and very bluntly told you it wouldn’t happen. They weren’t going to risk such a child for the former padawan of a Fallen Jedi
You didn’t know where you personally went wrong. You didn’t think it was fair to blame Dooku’s Fall on you and you had spent the last 2 years becoming then being a model Jedi
It was then that you received communication from Dooku again — a long talk about how the Jedi were straying from their path, were bending to the Senate’s demands…
His message spun around and around in your head for weeks but it was the sight of Obi-Wan and Anakin laughing as they came back from a mission that firmed your resolve
Obi-Wan was in nearly the same position as you - Dooku was his grandmaster and Xanatos was his padawan brother, the Maverick was his master…why did Obi-Wan get to have a padawan to bond with and teach and guide into the future but you couldn’t?
That night you backed your bag, filed the flimsiwork that severed your connection to the Temple and left, leaving only your lightsaber behind
You had been outspoken about how much you disproved Dooku’s path since the minute you first heard he left then Fell and so nobody thought to look for you in his direction
Obi-Wan kept a wary hand loosely around the hilt of his saber. Something in the air, in the Force, was warning him. He wasn’t sure what the warning was but he knew it was there.
Obi-Wan knew he should be relatively alone in the Force on this planet — there were no records of the natives being Force Sensitive and the War had spread the Order thin enough that it was rare the he was ever sent out with a partner that wasn’t Anakin.
…and yet…
There was a sense in the air, something indescribable and uniquely Force in nature — the middle ground between touch and taste — that told Obi-Wan that someone was nearby and using the Force.
It was only his careful consideration of his surroundings that let him dodge the sweep of the red saber blade that was intent on taking off his head. It was a quick paced battle that took of from there, the Force being liberally used to help overcome the near complete darkness that support him and his opponent.
When Obi-Wan was thrown through the doors of the warehouse he had been hiding out in, the week sunlight that managed to break through the cloudy day was enough for him to see your face.
The shock that ran through him at the sight of you again was almost enough for you to gain the upper hand. Unfortunately for you, he had spent nearly his entire childhood and the actual entirety of his padawanship drilling with you on the various saber forms and he knew your style front to back and back to front.
It was that intimate knowledge of you that allowed him to keep living. You hadn’t been shocked to see him and you hadn’t suddenly started to pull your punches. In fact, your attacks gained in power and strength, a fury racing through you at the sight of his face.
“What happened?” It slipped out without his intent, sadness flooding itself around the words to drag them to the ground in disbelief.
“You did,” your voice was vicious, barbed, and aimed at him to shred him to pieces.
“All of this,” you spread out your arms to encompass the entirety of his view, “is your fault. It is because of you that Master Dooku lost Qui-Gon and it is because of you that Master Dooku left me and it was because of you that I FELL.”
Here your attacks gained strength and speed, an unreal whirlwind of unrelenting attacks.
But it was the next sentence that caused the most damage.
“Everything I’ve ever done because I Fell? Can be placed on your shoulders Obi-Wan.”
You were a healer in your last years of training when Anakin was first brought to the Temple — in fact, you were the one who took out Anakin’s slave chip
You had been in training for field medicine for the purpose of being a traveling medic and so you were used to explaining every step of your process — it calmed a lot of people down when they knew exactly what was happening to them and why
That kind of care had been really rare for Anakin and he quickly formed a bond with you because of it
That bond was very useful when you had to give him a full physical and the entire panel of vaccines — you didn’t move on to the next procedure or vaccine before you described in detail what it was and how it would help
Whenever he had to go to the Halls for healing, he always asked for you
And when you did finally earn the rank of knight and started to leave the Temple on your missions, Anakin was quick to “subtly” suggest to Obi-Wan that the two of them should follow in the same direction
It worked out — the Kenobi/Skywalker pair were ones to fall face first into major trouble and the Council decided it would just be quicker to send the three of you into the same areas for missions
Anakin really looked up to you — he never forgot his dream to free all the slaves and he knew you were working towards that goal, slowly but determinedly
And when the War broke out, Anakin was one of the most vocal supporters of you continuing your traveling work — he wasn’t afraid to argue his support of the good you could do. The War was going to negatively effect so many people, he said, and having Jedi still be seen helping people, healing people, would help with the support of the Republic
So you continued your way through the Galaxy, through the War and the death and destruction it brought
And that…broke you. You were only one person and there were just too many people that needed help
You Fell reaching for more power to just help one more person
The Holonet blasted out the announcement and a picture of you with the Classic Sith eyes before the Temple knew
And Anakin was devastated.
You had been an Idol for him, a pillar of Good
He actually refused to believe it for the longest time — you fell after the Rako Hardeen mission and Anakin was convinced this was another trick by the Council
It wasn’t until he saw you cutting down your former fellow Jedi to drain them of their power that he knew you were gone
The healer he had known would have never harmed anyone
The silence on the bridge was deafening. Anakin was frozen in his spot, his Master and his Padawan slowly crowding up against him in support. The holo footage of you was still playing on a loop, each frame of it as damning as the first time he saw it.
A blink and there you were dropping onto a Jedi Knight’s shoulders. A blink and your new saber, blood red blade a vicious wound across your body, was cutting through the Knight’s chest. A blink and you were kneeling over the dying Jedi, your eyes now a cancerous luminous yellow as you drew the Knight’s power and connection to the Force into yourself. A final blink and you had had the audacity to blow a kiss towards the dying Trooper who captured the footage before sashaying away.
Anakin wasn’t sure how long he watched the holo repeat itself before his heart hardened itself against you. He could feel the tears forming in his eyes as they slowly slid shut. Leaning slightly against his Master, Snips a comfortable warm line against his other side, Anakin finally reopened his eyes and turned to Rex and Cody.
“Make sure to get that footage circulating through the troops and sent on to the Temple. We need to start planning the appropriate approach when Darth Insidiae is next spotted,” his voice steady and sure, Anakin knew that his words were a death sentence for you.
But, Anakin thought to himself, you had already died. Now he was just taking care of your killer.

The World Tumbles Down Chapter 10 - Old Friends
Wolffe & Plo
AAAAAHHHHHHH WOLFFE!!!! I love him. I love him so much. I am so obsessed with him it isn't even funny. Wolffe brings another personality in but also more clones that our little team can trust. Wolffe and Plo have a great dynamic with the other people in this team. Plo is calm and reassuring while also being wise and steadying. He is a strong presence who would do anything to protect the men he's in charge of. I adore him. He's one of my favorite Jedi. Respect for Plo. Wolffe is a stern man but he certainly isn't unkind. He's tough, demands respect, and does in fact glare at a lot of things. He also has the undying respect of the men under his command. I think if there are people that respect you that much you're probably doing something to earn it. He's a fun one because he won't put up with anyone's shit and no one wants to piss him off. He's so well respected it would be like playing with fire.
Quinlan
His inclusion was completely self indulgent but he also is able to move on Coruscant without any eyes on him. Whoever is behind this we know who is watching them, fed them a false tip, and will notice if they start poking around. He's an outside perspective, sneaky, and so much fun to write. He's got a personality I really enjoy writing. It's fun to put him in the middle of this situation and watch him shine (and have him flirt with Echo). He's a good person to bounce Obi-Wan off of. I give them a childhood bffs vibe that I really enjoy to write. We haven't seen the last of Quinlan Vos <3
Fox
Oh, Fox. He's just more and more tied up in this as time goes on. How tied up? We'll find out eventually ;) It makes me sad to watch him get paranoid and hurt as time goes on. He knows something is happening. He knows Cody and company are up to something. He knows he's given them intel. But he is still losing time. The people around him are worried for him and now he's in for even more trouble than he bargained for. I'm excited to keep showing you what's up with him as well as digging deeper into everyone else working on this.
Hunter
He loves garlic bread. Like so much. Maybe more than his squad.
The next few chapters have slowly become some of my favorites and I can't wait to share them with you! Chapter 11 is up this Friday July 19th and I have more whump/angst/fluff/mystery to give you! Thanks for sticking with me this far <3

Good morning and happy Thursday~
@lttrsfrmlnrrgby tagged me for the last line meme, thank you for thinking of me! Extremely delayed posting because I was busy moving and putting things in storage.
Right now I'm flipping between two projects. The first being the next chapter of The Dark Is Lit With Stars; a mid-clone wars AU where Dooku fucked up Obi-Wan's connection to the Force, but it has given Obi-Wan the ability to sense and destroy the chips in the clone's heads-- but only when he uses the dark side.
We're coming up on the climax and I'm stalled a bit because I decided I needed to bring in Quinlan to the story and Ventress invited herself as a narrative foil.
“Oh fuck no, not you,” Fox groaned.
“That’s hurtful, Commander. I thought we were friends,” Quinlan said, pressing a hand to his heart like he was deeply wounded.
“I see you’ve met,” Obi-Wan said.
I have also been working on this Jedi Master Yan Dooku and his Padawan Obi-Wan Kenobi AU. I know it's been done before, but it largely an excuse to talk about my lightsaber forms headcanons, and also give Qui-Gon a hard time.
It’s to his surprise, then, that the boy gives him a sidelong look— no, not him, his clothing— and selects outer robes that are nearly as dark as his own and inner robes in a rusty orange that sets off his red hair. It clearly coordinates with Dooku’s own outfit.
Dooku is surprised by the surge of affection he feels. They are going to look magnificent together.
I'm sorry, I know you're supposed to tag a bunch of people but it stresses me out to know who to tag, especially since I mostly just lurk and reblog. If you see this and want to share your last lines, please do so! And let me know so I can read what you're writing! 🙏
#star wars fic#writing#robin writes#yes it was originally just called 'the dark is lit' until it was pointed out to me that it sounds kind of like frat boy speak#absolutely horrifying

So after a good night’s sleep (which I haven’t had in three days) I thought about this a little more so forgive me for unloading a bit:
I originally put Rex as Nick, BUT now that I think about it, Rex would probably be best as Athena. Rex/Athena’s three kids at the beginning of the movie/story are Fives, Echo, and Dogma, with Tup being the baby that was born just before The Wedding.
Boba is Nick now, because Nick is Gus’ Pride and Joy, so that matches with Star Wars’ canon thinking of Boba being the only clone that gets to be referred to a Jango’s son. Plus the idea that Boba wants to secretly be a painter/artist while trying to live up to Jango’s expectations has me weak. I know it’s not very Canon Thinking/OOC but meh, sue me.
Also, I don’t think I’ll stick with the birth order that’s in the movie if Rex and Boba are the siblings. I know it goes Athena -> Toula -> Nick but I like the idea of it being Cody -> Rex -> Boba because making Cody the oldest child who is still unmarried while his younger siblings are out there either married with kids or on the road to getting there while Cody’s still stuck at the starting line would add to the pressure of “you better get married soon” thing Gus has for Toula.
Also, Quinlan is Obi-Wan’s teacher friend who tries to set him up all the time. The one who would’ve been the best man if Cody and Obi-Wan weren’t getting married in the Mandalorian tradition/faith. I was debating if it would be Quinlan but then I was watching the movie again and I forgot one of Toula’s cousins gets the hots for him, and I love shipping Commander Fox and Quinlan so much so there! Validation!
Okay, so….. hear me out….
A Codywan My Big Fat Greek Wedding AU
Cody is Toula (because the clones are all basically one giant family) and Obi-Wan is Ian
…. That is all

Look below the cut for kbirb's ITPE 2023 letter!
Letter from Summer Swap '23 | Last year's ITPE letter
Dear Podficcer,
Right now I'm really into:
Batfamily gen content, Roy/Jamie/Keeley from Ted Lasso, trans clone content, Jason Todd/Roy Harper/Kori as a triad doing found family esque things, Jason Todd redemption arcs
Things I like, regardless of fandom:
THEMES: trans/nonbinary characters (extra points for neopronouns); gender exploration in general; found family (genfic or otherwise); angst with a happy ending; polyamory; good asexual or aromantic representation
TROPES: fix-it fics!! extra points for time travel or time loops in fix its; fake dating/marriage; mutual pining; soulmates (AU or just clearly soulmates); crack treated seriously; rivals-to-friends/lovers; oops only one bed; secret identities
AUs: soulmates soulmates soulmates; regency era (or any different era); modern AU; crossovers, provided i know the other fandom or the fic doesn’t require knowledge of the other fandom!; college/sport AU; fantasy/fae AUs
Star Wars AUs/Tropes (yes they need their own categories): no Order-66/Order-66 happens differently; force sensitive clones; Jon Antilles lives; [insert clone here] lives; Anakin doesn't fall; Palpatine dies; Domino Squad Lives; force sensitive Leia; modern AUs; trans clones
PODFIC SPECIFIC: anything epistolary (texting/chat fics especially but letters and such are also fun to explore); including music / SFX if you’re comfortable; including bloopers if you have them/are comfortable exposing them
RATINGS: Contrary to popular belief I do not hate explicit fics so really any rating but I generally prefer G-M because I can be picky about what explicit content I'm absorbing.
Do Not Wants (triggers, squicks, please no):
major archive warnings (major character death is okay so long as it’s temporary and resolved); unhappy endings; I really don’t like pregnancy, which includes MPREG (I like omegaverse dynamics minus that aspect) - kidfic is cool I just don’t want pregnancy as a theme & especially not graphic depictions of it; suicide/self-harm “on screen” (mentions of past suicidal ideation/self harm are fine if not a flashback/graphic); non-/dub-con or any depictions of rape (once again, recovery is okay if done well); adult/minor relationships or relationships with unaddressed/starkly imbalanced power dynamics; any sort of poorly depicted mental health tropes (no BPD or other personality disorder bashing, no institutionalization, no “split personality” as a trope) - i really like explorations of PTSD/trauma but it has to be handled with fidelity and gentleness; and I have a random trigger about cockroaches
as a note: I do not like slave!fic but acknowledge that the situation of the clones is, at it's core, a form of slavery. so while i ask for slave!fic AUs to be fully avoided, I do appreciate fics that tackle that aspect of the Clone Wars series with tact, fidelity, and honesty.
Fandoms & Characters I Would Love to Receive:
Star Wars: I love so much Star Wars that to split them like I did on AO3 would make this post too long. I think it’s easiest to say this: I prefer Clone Wars, Rebels, anything about Jon Antilles, and anything Ahsoka Tano.
My main ships are: Cody/Obi-Wan, Kallus/Zeb, Hevy/anyone (consensual), Finn/Poe or Finn/Poe/Rey, blackkat rarepairs (mainly Jon Antilles/anyone), Jon Antilles & Fay (platonic), Waxer/Boil, Fives/Echo, Kanan/Hera, and Quinlan/Fox My favorite characters are: Hevy, Fox, Cody, Obi-Wan, Ahsoka, Leia, Poe, Fives, Luke, Jon Antilles, Fay (Legends)
Ted Lasso: My favorite ships are Roy/Keeley/Jamie, Ted/Trent, Roy/Keeley, and Jamie/Dani. Ted & Rebecca as platonic soulmates/besties in general. I love explorations of how much Dr. Jacob sucks and fix-its for the ending!
Batfam/DC: I can be picky and yet not? Basically, I just prefer no inner-Batfam fics of the boys because I truly view them as brothers. My favorite ships are Jason Todd/Roy Harper(/Kori), Dick Grayson/Wally West, Harley/Ivy (back to being super into them), Tim Drake/Kon, and Wally/Artemis from Young Justice. This is the fandom that I specifically am obsessed with found family in. -- I love exploring Alfred being the boys' Grandpa and Bruce’s complex dadhood.
The Locked Tomb: I’m definitely Gideon/Harrow on main; I really like fics where one or both of them are trans/nonbinary. Nona is my favorite character so explorations of her found family (the household or the friends or all of them) are important to me. Cam/Pal is important to me. I love modern AUs a lot.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Buffy/Spike is always a love (with acknowledgment of how tricky of a ship it is to navigate) but I mostly love Scooby Gang gen fic! And I adore Buffy crossovers with shows like Supernatural or movies like Star Wars.
Our Flag Means Death: Obviously Blackbeard/Stede is a big deal and I ship it forever. But my heart belongs to Jim/Olu and any explorations of Jim’s gender identity! Pining Izzy Hands makes me weak, as long as he’s not being abusive towards Edward or Stede.
ATLA: Always and forever a Zuko/Sokka shipper, specifically obsessed with found family in this, gen fic exploring the universe at all is super important to me!!!
MISC OTHERS: First Kill; The Adventure Zone; Red, White and Royal Blue; Good Omens; The Tarot Sequence; All for the Game; Teen Wolf; and Sandman.
I didn’t talk much about them because I’m basically just into the main ships for them (Juliette/Cal for FK, Taako/Kravitz for TAZ, Aubrey/Dani for TAZ, Alex/Henry for RWRB, Crowley/Az for GO, Rune/Addam or Rune/Addam/Brand for TTS, Hob/Dream for Sandman), Andy/Qunyh for The Old Guard, Joe/Nicky for The Old Guard, & Nile/Quynh for The Old Guard. For All for the Game I like Jean/Jeremy, Andrew/Neil, and Renee/Allison. Also friendship/gen fics of any of the characters! For Teen Wolf and First Kill I don’t like Mature/Explicit fics unless they’re adults in it. My favorite TAZ eras are Balance and Amnesty.
I’m a huge Regency era fan and love anything Jane Austen as well!
Fandoms/Ships I Will Create Content For:
I will create content for any of the fandoms and ships listed above! Including the same caveats. If paired with someone who likes explicit content, I don't mind finding fics that don't hit my squicks/triggers. THAT BEING SAID: I will create content for those fandoms even if it’s not one of my listed ships and not one of the following ships:
STAR WARS: Rey/Kylo, Leia/Luke, Rex/Ahsoka, any Master/Padawan relationship, or Palpatine/Anakin. BATFAM: inner!Batboys as mentioned TED LASSO: Ted/Jamie (love Ted & Jamie tho) AFTG: Andrew/Aaron, Andrew/women, Neil/women SANDMAN: Dream/any of his siblings
Other fandoms I will create content for:
Star Trek: Spock/Kirk, Spock/Kirk/Bones, Kirk/Bones Leverage: OT3 is Hardison/Parker/Eliot LOTR / The Hobbit: Gimli/Legolas, Eowyn/Faramir, Boromir/being alive, Bilbo/Thorin. I like anything just exploring the lore and history of the universe and its cultures Venom: Venom/Eddie(/Annie/Dan) The Witcher: Yen/Jaskier/Geralt, Jaskir/Geralt, Geralt/Triss, Yen/Triss Sense8: anything I can find! it’s small but there’s nothing I won’t do in this fandom, honestly… Marvel/MCU: Steve/Bucky, Clint/Bucky, Kate Bishop/America Chavez, and Spideypool (as long as they’re both adults). WITH A LOT OF CAVEATS… Harry Potter. I will only podfic trans-centric Tonks who does not get with Remus or Wolfstar with a happy ending. Stranger Things: anything Robin Buckley centric, anything that explores Robin & Steve's friendships, Robin/Chrissy, Steve/Eddie
Authors with BP that I love, as a starting point: Flowerparrish, saiditallbefore, trixree, wanderingjedihistorian, mestiket, hoebiwan, blackkat, cac0daemonia
More notes: I do write so anything of mine will work!! I have a few fics bookmarked that I don't plan to pod so those should be good to go, too!
Love,
Kaje (kbirb)

codywan versus the struggles and joys of moving into a new place to live
oughht thank u for the ask willow!! here it is, only a little late :)
wc: 619
warnings: none :)
Moving, Obi-Wan considered, had never been so much of a hassle.
In the wake of the war and all that came after it, Obi-Wan found himself plus one Cody and minus the quarters he had once shared with Anakin, and before that with Qui-Gon. After Anakin’s Knighting, he’d technically been moved to a Knight’s quarters, smaller and without the connected suite. He’d never really used them during the war.
Now he was a Master, which meant a Master’s quarters—the assigning of which had been delayed due to, once again, the war—which seemed to provide enough space for the both of them. Obi-Wan strived not to think of people as plants, but it was hard to resist the line of thinking that compared Cody to a sunflower. He wouldn’t thrive in close quarters, he needed plenty of sun—or whatever passed for it on Coruscant—and he needed the company.
Hence this, the move.
Obi-Wan didn’t have much to move. He had a box of personal possessions, an even bigger box of books, and a limited wardrobe. Cody’s situation was much the same.
No, what was really causing them trouble were the dozens of delinquents intent on “freshening the place up,” whatever that meant.
“Do not,” Obi-Wan said loudly, “put a bookshelf in front of the only window in the communal room.”
Quinlan pouted from where he was pushing a solid, oak-dark shelf. “There’s nowhere else to put it—”
“Because you lot have decided to turn this into a party,” Cody said, herding Bant and Kit away from the wall. “Put it here.”
Obi-Wan opened his mouth to object merely on principle, then closed it again. Cody had, of course, picked the most optimal place for it. Quinlan was already (grudgingly) pushing the bookshelf into place, muscles straining impressively. Obi-Wan refrained from commenting that he very well could have just used the Force; the former Commander Fox was watching very closely from the other side of the room.
“I still don’t understand why this many people are necessary for what was supposed to be a simple operation,” Obi-Wan protested, coming up to Cody to set his chin on Cody’s shoulder. If he had to lean down a little to do so, then so be it. It was worth it for the way Cody’s breath hitched a little and he leaned back against Obi-Wan’s chest, already radiating an air of smug satisfaction.
They’d never had time, during the war, for such simple pleasures as this.
“You’re moving in together! That’s a big milestone!” Quinlan said, throwing his arms up. “Bant, back me up.”
“It is,” Bant said earnestly. “We just want to help. Well. Most of us want to help.”
“I don’t want to help.” Wolffe raised two fingers, looking bored. “I’m not helping.”
“Why is he here?” Obi-Wan asked Cody sotto voce.
“Why the hell are you here?” Cody asked Wolffe, nearly having to shout across the room as even more people spilled into their new quarters.
“Thought it’d be funny. I was right. You two are besotted.”
“It’s disgusting,” Fox said, eyes still glued to Quinlan’s back.
Obi-Wan hummed, feeling the joy and warmth suffusing the Force all around them. They were surrounded by friends and family, he thought, and what a wonder it was that they were.
“We’ll chase them out later,” Obi-Wan said consolingly to Cody, who was starting to glower in a portentous way.
“Oh, I’ll be chasing some people.” Cody was making threatening eye contact with Wolffe, who had a lopsided smirk slowly creeping across his face.
Well, Obi-Wan thought, dragging himself away from Cody to direct Ahsoka in the setting up of his plants, it could most certainly have been worse.

foxleia, obitine, and… bail/obi? (No idea what this ship name is)
Send me a ship and I’ll give you my (brutally) honest opinion on it
FoxLeia: Time-Travel, obviously, but they have immensely funny energy depending on how you approach it. I like the idea of Leia having a problem and Fox just offering to kill someone for Leia because he can't think of a way to make it better. Alternately, Leia runs around causing problems and stealing things and being sneaky in disguise, and Fox is the unfortunate person that's charged with finding and arresting her, and now they've got this flirty catwoman-and-batman thing going on. (Fox has been informed that he cannot just shoot her, because... reasons? The Chancellor and the Jedi are all very insistent on this.)
Obitine: It's not about the happy ending, it is about the YEARNING. This is my other main Obi-Wan ship (the first is Quinlan). They spend twenty years pining and then they just bitch at each other and I love them so much. They adore each other but there's no way either of them would be happy if they left their duties for each other. Love them.
ObiBail: They're not in love but they're good friends and regularly hook up when Bail is on Coruscant. I don't imagine Obi-Wan ever getting in the way of Bail/Breha, but I do think both of them kind of want to invite him more permanently into their bed, and refrain because Jedi, but like. They maybe pine a bit.

The tags in question:
#how dare you pit these two against each other #the two characters i was considering nominating #i'm going to have to vote fox though #mostly because i like fics where obi-wan is overworked but it gets better #and fics where fox is overworked and it gets worse #(then eventually better)
So @spookypanda04 here you go:
Obi-wan (overworked but it gets better)
Loyalty resonating in the silence by Charming_Piranha (39k)
Quinlan Vos has stood by his best friend through the frankly staggering number of trials Obi-Wan Kenobi has endured. This one will not be any different.
Or: Quinlan teams up with the clones and a bunch of others to force the galaxy to take some responsibility for their own shit and not just dump it on Obi-Wan. It becomes bigger than anyone ever could have imagined.
Something you forgot to tell me by Argentee (3.5k)
When Anakin Skywalker gets pulled from Active Duty to see a mind healer, Obi-Wan finds himself burdened with even more work. Thankfully he's heard that Commander Fox has the Good Stims.
This somehow saves the Republic.
Someone Else Decide by BigFatBumblebee (9.3k)
It’s nearly Obi-Wan’s life day, and all he wants in the Galaxy is a day away from making hard, life-changing decisions.
Fox (overworked but it gets worse then better)
This is an underlying theme for most of the Corrie Guard whump fics I read, but here's some examples. Mind the tags.
Lighthopping by postapocalyptic_cryptic (7.6k)
Commander Fox is boxed in on all sides.
Now who's fussing? by One_Real_Imonkey (1.5k)
Fox is tired, so tired his body is shivering, but he has to get these last few bits of work done. His little siblings disagree.
I'm F.I.N.E. by ScreamHoney (4.5k)
Commander Fox is F.I.N.E. If "F" is for feeling overwhelmed, and "I" is for "I'm not alright", if "N" is for not being able to sleep, "E" for every night.
[BONUS] On Call by LBibliophile (1.6k)
Fox always thought that the role of a Commander was to lead, to give orders. Instead, he seems to spend his days running to other people's beck and call.
Preliminary Poll 28: Star Wars

Half-Formed Fic Ideas That Probably Won’t See the Light of Day
Several of these are rooted in @one-real-imonkey‘s fics because they write things that please my brain.
- Very firmly off one of @one-real-imonkey‘s clone time-travel AUs: it’s around ten years after the events of the fic. Jedi Master Plo Koon is paying a visit to Mandelore for Handwave-y Reasons, but mostly so he can check on the Mereel quints and the Fett twins. (He still has no idea why one of the quintuplets latched onto him in particular, but he returns the young man’s caring as best he can.)
Jedi Knights Obi-Wan Kenobi and Quinlan Vos are along for some nice, mostly safe practice diplomacy in front of their padawans. For some (inexplicable to the Jedi) reason, the reaction of four out of five Mereel quintuplets and the blond Fett twin to Padawan Secura is: “Bly is going to hate this.”
(Bly’s reaction is he needs to be on another planet right now, kthx.)
Jango also spends the next several days dealing with Rex’s breakdown over Padawan Skywalker.
- From another of imonkey’s clone time-travel AUs, specifically “A Second Chance, A New Family”: Jango sits with the vode until one of them wakes up. He has a lot of questions about his past now that he’s found out he’s a clone of someone or another.
Rex wakes up first. Rex is Very Confused by a young Jango calling him vod and talking as if he’d been on Kamino with them as another clone. Well, talking as if he’d been somewhere with them as another clone, and that they might have “known him before he was rescued.”
- Based off the general idea of Palpatine secretly restricting the Coruscant Guard’s communications to cut them off with the rest of the GAR. So the Guard thinks they’re sending messages to their non-Guard friends that are getting ignored, and the GAR thinks they’re sending messages to their Guard friends that are getting ignored.
Palpatine’s efforts to isolate the Guard fail to account for the fact Gree is a weird bastard who is good at seeing from other people’s point-of-view. Fox hasn’t responded to any of his messages in the past year, but they’re marked as read? Fox is in charge of defending Coruscant from Separatist threats and doesn’t have transit downtimes like Gree does. Fox never accepts his invites to drink at 79s? The Guard does have to do a lot of military police work with drunken vode, Gree can see Fox not finding 79s relaxing. He’ll bring himself and some booze to Fox. Fox can’t relate to him as a frontline commander and he can’t relate to Fox as Guard commander? Good fucking thing they’ve got other ways to relate to each other. Also, Gree knows how to tell stories that don’t require the listener to have his exact experiences to enjoy them. Why does he put in all of this effort when Fox doesn’t seem to? Friendships take work to maintain, and he’s not going to fault Fox, who is basically always on deployment, having to focus on his duty.
Palpatine actively clouding Gree’s mind so he thinks he’s already visited Fox? Works once, until Barris asks him about his visit with Fox because it’s one of those nice, non-war things she can talk to him about that aren’t just her telling him about her studies. Gree realizes he “forgot”, sets multiple alarms on his next shore leave so he doesn’t get caught up in other things.
Senator being a dick to Guard shinies? Gree is an amateur xenologist and familiar with this particular culture. What said Senator is claiming as an insult is not an insult in their culture. It’s very... Coruscanti of them to find it insulting. (Senators do not appreciate being Judged by clones. Gree does not appreciate people terrorizing shinies. One of them is going to back down, and it sure as shooting isn’t going to be Gree.)
Palpatine rerouting the 41st to have their leave on someplace not-Coruscant and forging the paperwork to make it look like Gree put in the request? “Commander Offee, can you request Commander Tano to check with Commander Fox if he has any requisitions unique to [the planet in question]?” “You want to know if he wants a souvenir.”
Just a mix of Palpatine’s efforts being thwarted because Gree is perfectly willing to give Fox the benefit of the doubt in regards to communications, especially since Fox always seems happy to see him when he comes by the Guard base, and Gree having two Jedi to stumble face-first into Shenanigans as Jedi are wont to do.
- After the Temple bombing arc, Fox shows up at the on-Coruscant GAR barracks with booze. Rex is Not Impressed. Fox didn’t bring it for Rex, so Rex can stay Not Impressed. He brought it for his brother whose baby Jedi just got unmasked as a terrorist willing to frame her best friend.
Gree appreciates the booze, and also Fox’s willingness to get into a knockdown, drag-out fight with him, because no one else will, and he needs some catharsis.
Some ARCs don’t clear the training room they have their fight in when Fox tells them to. Said ARCs come to regret this decision as Fox and Gree use them as obstacles in said knockdown, drag-out fight.
Someone calls one of the other CCs about the time the knives come out, because it looks like Fox and Gree are going to kill each other. (They are not. They are much too good at hand-to-hand to kill another vod without meaning to, and neither mean to.) (They are also being a lot more careful with the knives than it looks like. Frankly, they’re more careful with the hand-to-hand than it looks since neither of them has broken bones.)
- Based off @silverxsakura’s “Your father wants me dead”: Gree gets decapitated by General Yoda during the execution of Order 66. Gree wakes up as a cadet on Kamino with a scar around his neck he definitely never had before, but everyone acts like he’s always had it and are Concerned that he doesn’t remember that. Also, Weird Things keep happening around him.
Fox gets killed by Darth Vader. Fox wakes up as a cadet on Kamino whose temper is a lot more volatile than he remembers it ever being. Also, when he’s really deep in his fury, his eyes turn sulfur-yellow, and Things Happen. The rest of his cadet squad are freaking out that he’s forgotten he has to hide that from the longnecks.
Neither have noticed that Wolffe keeps reaching up to rub a scar he doesn’t have yet.

Hey d'you know the origins of Quinlan Vos/Fox ship? I keep finding it and I'm curious if it's one of those Fan Things that took off or if they went on an adventure together at some point.
To my knowledge, they have literally never met or even been in close proximity in canon. I remember last, like, April or something @forestgreengirl went full Galaxy Brain and decided that Vox would be a thing and single-handedly paddled that canoe into fandom’s collective consciousness.
As for why they work so well together, I think it’s partially a matter of feasibility (Fox never leaves Coruscant, the only Jedi who seem to never leave Coruscant are like, really really old, but Quinlan could feasibly spend a lot of time there because he’s a Jedi Superspy and he doesn’t have his own battalion of clones (at least, not in current canon)). Quinlan shows up for his one (1) clone wars arc and seems imminently shippable, but the only clone he interacts with is Cody, and fandom has decided that Obi-Wan has near-exclusive Cody dibs (the other obvious choice is Fandom Bicycle Obi-Wan Kenobi, and there are a fair number of quinlan/obi fics). Most other clones tend to get paired off with their Jedi, but Fox doesn’t have one of those, so he’s single and ready to mingle, so to speak. So it’s partially a case of Pair the Spares.
Also it has to do with personality. Quinlan is, in disney canon, a relaxed, easy-going, hypercompetent, humorous guy who’s also kind of an asshole. Fox has absolutely no canon personality, BUT he certainly has a fandom-assigned personality. Fox’s fandom-personality has changed over time, which was kind of interesting to watch. A while back, Fox was characterized as proud, brash, in-your-face, kind of a slut, cocky, etc. Now, he’s uptight, repressed, extremely stressed and sleep-deprived, cares deeply for literally everyone even though he hides it, slow to trust, doesn’t open up easily, kind of acts like a dick, is really abrasive, and really, really needs a hug.
I think the change was due to some Fox Discourse that went down where some people reacted to people basically hating on Fox for arresting Ahsoka and wanting his men to shoot to kill when they hunted her down, killing Fives, and serving Darth Vader. There was kind of a tidal wave of posts defending Fox, and at first it was like “Fox was following orders, it wasn’t his fault, and of course he would have his troopers shoot to kill Ahsoka, he thought she was a murderer and he knew she was armed and dangerous, and he killed Fives because he was doing his job and he saw Fives reaching for a gun, that’s not unreasonable even though it is tragic” and then it quickly progressed to “Fox was probably mind-controlled by Palpatine when he killed Fives” and “Fox flinched when Anakin yelled at him to he’s probably used to people hurting him” and all of that resulted in the New Fox Personality, as well as several things that we have zero evidence for in canon but Fandom accepts as Fact:
-all the other clones hate/strongly dislike the Coruscant Guard
-Fox constantly has to forge the chancellor’s signature
-Fox is terrified of Palpatine, and he Knows that he’s Evil
-Palpatine is mind-controlling Fox and Fox has memory gaps where Palpatine takes over
-Fox is ridiculously stressed and sleep-deprived and constantly on the verge of a breakdown
-Fox is constantly abused/yelled at my senators and he hates every single one of them
-Fox tries to keep secret exactly how stressed and fucked up he is
-Fox has between 0 and 1 (one) friends
don’t get me wrong I FUCKING LOVE these Fox tropes it’s just kinda funny how we’ve built this whole narrative framework by wholesale pulling it out of our collective asses (fun fact: Old Fandom Fox had a lip ring, New Fandom Fox has graying hair).
anyway, laid-back, relaxed, funny guy and upright asshole who secretly needs a hug is like, one of the top three ship dynamics in existence so when people saw Quinlan Vos paired with New Personality Fox, they were like “oh that is some GOOD SHIT” and anyway that’s my thoughts on how Vox became a thing thank you for coming to my ted talk

Welcome to day 6 of random Star Wars shitposty headcanons!
I’m so sorry btw, some of these ended up kinda angst 😬
-Mandalorians have Flannel shirt energy. Like they just wear flannels in their down time. Always. Their pyjamas? Flannel. First date? Flannel. If they’re not on the battle field, they’re wearing flannel. Jango Fett wore flannel boxers for good luck. The one day he didn’t wear them Windu cut his head off. Boba now wears flannel boxers for good luck.
-Obi-Wan Kenobi gets more and more Scottish the more emotional he gets. Sometimes in council meetings they legitimately cannot understand him so they just smile and nod. It did however lead to a 13 year old Anakin learning some creative insults over the years. Everyone remembers the time Yoda caught the kids arm with a practice saber and the teen yelled “yer da sells Avon ya wrinkly green bawbag”.
-The clones drink an insane amount of caf. The problem is they all have very specific orders. The space starbucks employees hate them. One will come in and suddenly they have to make like 50 drinks. Some are fine - like Wolffe and Cody just take it black, and Echo will just get a tea. Tup just gets a hot chocolate. But then someone (looking at Fives because mans is DRaMATIC) will turn up in sunglasses and order a Venti Iced Skinny Hazlenut Macchiato, Sugar-Free syrup, extra shot, lite ice, no whip or some shit and hold everything up. That’s not even getting into Kix and the other medics (and probably Rex too tbf, my guy is tired) who order drinks with more espresso shots than should be legally allowed. Fox is banned for life or has a lifelong loyalty card and there’s no in between.
-Clones like camping. Just vibing under the stars together with crappy food and cheap tents. It’s good for team building, but also counts as training so they don’t feel guilty for it.
-After leaving the empire, Kallus really doesn’t like wearing a helmet because it reminds him of who he used to be, and he’s trying very hard to move past that point of his life. The ghost crew are super reluctant to let him on the frontline in case he gets hurt. Eventually Rex just makes him wear Gregor’s old chest plate and vambraces because his brother didn’t wear them and died, and he wouldn’t let that happen to another member of his family, regardless of who they used to be.
-Thrawn does yoga in the mornings and evenings so he can maintain his fight training schedule without pulling a muscle. He’s mad flexible. It’s very stressful on the ship cos officers will go to deliver messages and just find him in weird positions thinking. One new transfer once had to tell him about a rebel insurrection whilst the grand admiral was in the crab position. It was awkward.
-On a definitely unrelated note, Eli Vanto sucks at yoga and finds Thrawn being good at it infuriating.
-Dooku does all of his own gardening because a droid stepped on his carnations and he was not having that. (He also did not approve of Ventress’s snide “what in carnation?!” Comment when he informed her). Dooku is actually where Qui-Gon got his love for plants. He likes the way they feel in the force.
-Fenn Rau and Bo-Katan were actually pretty good friends. They’d fly around and chat shit about once a week just to relax when they were younger.
-Pre-Grogu Din Djarin always wanted a pet, but never had a way to look after them properly. So every time he was on a planet he’d go to shelters and play with the animals there to make sure they had fun at least once in their lives.
-At any given moment at least one room on a 501st ship is blasting cheese room music so that the troopers can unwind together for a bit before their next mission. It’s surprisingly effective given that they’re just dancing together.
-As a way to understand other cultures and find harmony with the force all of the Jedi learn an instrument. Yoda played the piccolo, Dooku played the flute. Qui-Gon played the bongos, Obi-Wan plays the violin. Anakin learnt the guitar, and one of the reasons he wears the glove over his prosthetic is so he can still play. But little Ahsoka? She got a wholeass drumset. She’s pretty good too, but she likes 3am to be her practice time. Quinlan is super proud that she took his advice. Anakin and Obi want to kill the kiffar on principle.
As usual, hope you enjoy my shitpost. Any thought, criticism or idea is welcome. Have a goodun lads!

Fantasy au arranged marriage, pairing of choice involving Obi-Wan?
Is this... is this about the arranged marriage fantasy AU I abandoned for homework on the discord yesterday? Is that what’s going on here, anon? Are you on the discord server or does everyone just have this sort of thing on the brain recently?
In either case though I shan’t rehash that but do something else lol
Obi-Wan is born as the third royal prince in a mountainous, vaguely European country. The world is about at renaissance level technology, with a few bonuses due to the presence of magic (and magical creatures)
His majesty, King Qui-Gon Jinn, is a moral, stubborn ruler who is thought of fondly by the commoners but who is also quite unthinking at times, a bit neglectful and letting the nannies and governesses raise his children
His royal highness, crown prince Freemor is studious and quiet, and frequently works in the gardens. People are tentatively approving of him as crown prince, since he should be able to handle managing the kingdom’s graneries and other food resources well, but are worried about what will happen during foreign affairs, especially if they go to war.
His royal highness, second prince Xanatos, is... certainly aggressive and ambitious like is needed for foreign affairs, but there are too many rumors of underhandedness and selfishness for him to drum up support, especially by the public
Obi-Wan Kenobi, the third prince, grows up feeling the need to rise to his title. His brothers are already well-versed in their studies and have their own strengths physically. Further, Obi-Wan was told by a nanny when he was young that a true prince has a duty to help their citizens as much as they can and he’s never let that go
Obi-Wan, like all members of the royal family, also has the ability to use magic. And so he is sent off for a few years of his childhood to the academy run the druids/[insert magic pseudo-priest group here]. There he makes good friends with Quinlan Vos, a count’s son whose family is well known as sword mages
When Obi-Wan learns the basics of magic enough from the academy, he’s sent back to the royal family, where he proceeds to take a bre- proceeds to start studying even harder. (Obi-Wan has no chill)
Obi-Wan doesn’t take a break from studying combat, magic, politics, diplomacy, etc. (and becoming a pretty good dragon rider) until basically a few years later when Quinlan graduates from the academy’s full program and shows up to get Obi-Wan drunk. Obi-Wan’s servants quickly pull every favor they have in the palace to get Quinlan hired as Obi-Wan’s aide
Obi-Wan convinces Quinlan that he needs more experience in the real world, and that he needs to prove himself capable by his own abilities, not just the royal name. Quinlan agrees to help Obi get the experience so long as Quinlan comes along
Thus they begin their careers as errant knights
They gain a reputation for bad luck/chaos, and so eventually are only hired/requested when everyone’s sure some mission will go to hell anyways, in which case they’re very good at getting out of things in the best case scenario
During this time they also meet a certain disguised person from a certain royal family in a tavern and Obi-Wan of course flirts and tries to drink the man under the table
After a few years of this, with a few scattered months of being recalled home to the palace or sent to help protect a border from his father, Obi-Wan is called back to the palace again
It’s now that Obi-Wan finds out he has been promised to a neighboring kingdom’s crown prince to diffuse tensions, as there were two neighboring kingdoms seeming to be preparing to make a move. Obi-Wan getting married off to one prevents that kingdom from being able to attack and gets their support to help make the third kingdom back off
Obi-Wan is back for less than a week before he’s being sent off to his new life, which isn’t actually enough time to come to terms with his life getting completely uprooted and him apparently no longer being allowed to serve his kingdom how he planned to/was tying most of his identity to
Obi-Wan arrives at his new home the day before the wedding, and does not see his husband until part way through the wedding ceremony where they both take off their ceremonial veil/headpieces that covered their faces, revealing the man from the tavern
Crown prince Cody does not insist on having sex, although the are required to share a bed, and thus begins Obi-Wan’s somewhat awkward attempts to adjust to his new life
Obi-Wan attempts to be a perfect husband/married in royal, polite, keeping quiet, not causing trouble
He thinks that things are going well, and that he’ll be able to have a perfectly proper, tolerable life until he overhears his husband and a few of his brothers complaining about how distant and cold Obi-Wan apparently is, and how it seems like Obi-Wan’s birth kingdom didn’t really want the marriage
Obi-Wan runs away to the stable where his dragon is being kept, and stays with her for a while, cuddling up against he warm belly
He stays like that until he hears someone enter the stables and reflexively hides. Cody comes over to Obi-Wan’s dragon and takes care of her for a bit, checking her over and petting her and giving her a snack. Obi-Wan’s dragon clearly likes Cody (yes the dragon is Obi-Wan’s lightsaber, why do you ask?) and given the kind way Cody treats her, Obi-Wan can’t really blame her
Obi-Wan, after a night or two to settle himself down, decides to make a concerted effort to actually being a good husband by his new family’s standards
He invites Cody to tea, which is awkward until Obi-Wan switches the subject from personal matters to the latest political/governance problem. He shows up at the training arena more, until he runs into a few of the other princes and gets to spar with them a few times. He shows off a few magic tricks to the curious youngest prince Boba, when the boy finds him in the library
The princes seem to respond in kind, inviting Obi-Wan to things and being very friendly and affectionate, especially physically, which Obi-Wan’s not used to
The day Obi-Wan sasses something at Fives that leaves the man sputtering is Cody’s “oh no” moment, not that Obi-Wan realizes that the funny look Cody’s giving him is his husband trying to refrain from kissing him
Cody starts actually trying to court Obi-Wan after that, not that Obi-Wan does more but obliviously accept the attention, not even suspecting that Cody’s feeling more than a slight increase in respect and friendship for a few months
And then Obi-Wan gets word that King Qui-Gon Jinn has died
Obi-Wan is able to convince his new family to let him go back for the funeral with a well-guarded but small (and therefore fast) retinue, which includes Rex and Wolffe (? Probably? Another brother who is very competent and is not Cody, because crown prince)
The funeral is somber and formal and very much unlike Qui-Gon Jinn, and Freemor’s coronation is smooth and as simple as a royal coronation can be. Obi-Wan gives Freemor a thoughtful coronation gift and leaves. Rex and Wolffe have also come to understand what made Obi-Wan who he is much better and are very much planning on telling Cody and their brothers
A few months go by in which Obi-Wan finds himself falling for Cody more and more, and feeling guilty because he’s decided that Cody is only looking at him as a good friend now. Cody meanwhile is a bit frustrated by his new and improved seduction strategy both clearly working and not being enough to get Obi-Wan to make a move
Before Cody can act on a decision to just kiss Obi-Wan himself, Obi-Wan gets word that Freemor has died in an “accident”
This time, the kingdom is getting ready for harvest, so they can’t afford to let Obi-Wan go back. Obi-Wan sends a letter of condolences and sends an equally appropriate but far less thoughtful gift to Xanatos for his coronation
A year and a half later, after getting the kingdom through two winters very successfully, Obi-Wan finally confesses to Cody that he’s fallen in love with Cody, even though they had agreed to be political partners at the beginning. Cody (who had backed off on the seduction after Freemor’s death) responds enthusiastically
As they’re settling into their new relationship and dealing with much teasing, Quinlan Vos breaks into the palace (much to the chagrin of prince Fox, captain of the royal guard) and informs Obi-Wan that Xanatos has quickly proved to be a tyrant who can’t handle/care about running the country well enough to keep people from starving, putting most of the budget towards himself and the army
Obi-Wan… can’t exactly depose Xanatos. Even though he was third in line, he gave up those rights when he married the crown prince of another country. And the more distant relatives, while not as cruel as Xanatos, are in no way good candidates for the throne
The obvious solution, the Fetts decide, is to invade the country and take it over. Obi-Wan can’t really find a good argument since all the planning involves trying to keep civilians out of the line of fire
Usually, taking over a mountain region is very difficult, especially if you’re from a coastal trading kingdom. But they have Obi-Wan there to give them all the information they need
They spend the winter planning and begin to prepare, get everything ready after winter, and march in mid-spring
By the end of the summer, most of Xanatos’s army is defeated, or defected once they realized their royal prince/Ben the errant knight is trying to save the country with his new people
There’s some cool epic battle where Obi-Wan breaks the siege at the capital where Xanatos is holed up by flying him and Cody and a few others on dragons straight into the throne room/castle
Obi-Wan fights Xanatos as two sword mages, but Cody gets in the killing blow, despite being injured/knocked out earlier in the fight
Xanatos is given the proper funeral for a disgraced noble, and the people in the capital throw a party (technically it’s a belated coronation celebration for their new King Jango Fett)
Cody and Obi slip away from the festivities to watch from afar, and start talking about plans on how to actually rule the new territory and help it out after all the damage Xanatos did to it
The conversation ends with Obi-Wan expressing that he’s looking forward to going home (which is the first time Obi-Wan’s called the Fetts’ kingdom home) and Cody takes a moment to get over his shock before kissing Obi-Wan as the fireworks start going off overhead
Have I ever told y’all that I write really long outlines, btw?
(Also, side note: King Jango has a somewhat strained relationship with most of his sons. He raised them with very high expectations and little praise, and would not give them any responsibilities he didn’t think they were ready for. This led to, among other things, an almost co-dependent kind of closeness between the brothers. Jango, however, is more of a jerk than a bastard in this AU, so when his younger brother Alpha came back from abroad he was able to beat some sense into Jango, literally and figuratively. Boba is significantly younger than the rest of them and is being raised much more properly, but Jango is still in the process of mending his relationships with his other sons)
#ask meme thing#arranged fantasy AU#Codywan#I'll write a quick bit of prose after lunch#Anonymous#look at least this outline was only like three and a half pages

ok but a dragon riders au
so all of the force users are dragons
but they’re also shapeshifting dragons
kind of like a weredragon I guess
This is still set in the star wars universe, but there are no jedi or clones(technically dont worry all of them still exist)
While the force users are dragons they communicate telepathically
The dragon riders come from a specific family/clan
its the Fetts
Its a huge family and not everyone becomes a dragon rider
I mean have you seen how many of them there are
Most of them live on concord dawn
once one becomes a dragon rider, they gain one of the leaders of the Fett clan
Basically, most of the captains/commanders match with their Jedi
Just like not every fett becomes a rider, not every dragon bonds with a rider
The dragons also form their own council(the jedi counsel)
the bond just kind of clicks in randomly when the right rider and dragon meet
it can really happen whenever
The dragons being dragons isn’t genetic its just *jazz hands* magic
The dragons and their riders jobs are to defend the republic
a few of the dragons and riders are together and a few dragons are together
Dating isn’t really a big problem in this au
Quinlan and Fox are bonded and the first thing Fox thought was, “not this guy please.”
Fox has heard so much about Quinlan from Cody because Obi Wan and Quinlan are friends(obi wan and cody are bonded)
Fox actually warms up to Quinlan pretty quickly pretends he doesn’t
he warms up to him in more ways than one, aka they’re together
Fox learning to ride Quinlan is the funniest stuff. Quinlan joking does some dumb stuff and Fox is Not Impressed.
Quinlan as a dragon is large and purple with a yellow stripe down his side. He has longer claws than other dragons.
Obi Wan and Anakin are together in this
Them hanging out in dragon farm is like watching two very large loth cats
they are often seen just laying in large fields and napping
what can they say, raising their adopted daughter is exhausting
Anakin is a black dragon with red tipped scales. He has large red spikes going from his neck to his tail.
Obi wan is a sandy(lol) colour with a shorter body and large wings. He has white horns that are shaped like ram horns.
Rex is Cody’s younger brother
Since Cody became a rider before Rex, he advises Rex on saddle designs
a lot of work goes into working around the spikes on Anakin’s back
Ahsoka hasn’t bonded with anyone yet and is just kind of being raised by anakin and obi wan
Her dragon form is smaller right now. She’s orange with white wings. She has two long, straight horns that have the same pattern as her lekku. She still has her face markings in her dragon form
Shaak Ti is an extremely large dragon who can cuddle with all of the vode in her dragon form
