🔳🌳🔳 What creative ideas do you have for makeshift, temporary plant stands and tables? Especially ones that are both PRACTICAL and GOOD LOOKING and inexpensive. The cinder block/metal grid “table” (on a surface of gravel) fashioned here has an industrial rugged vibe that looks handsome while in use but can easily be dismantled later. It’s pressed into service here on a somewhat large scale large scale here, but a smaller version would have the same functional good looks. Our #throwbackthursday this week is the #ikeahack bookcase/room divider/whiteboard in my #makerspace. My #office sits at the intersection of the garage, workshop, kitchen, and our main living space. It’s wide open to all of these rooms, (which can be great or chaotic depending on the day) so I wanted to find a way to have it be open but also feel private and cozy at the same time. So, we decided to make use of some old #ikea #bookcases we had from our poor college student days to create a little barrier for the room. We stacked the two book cases on top of each other, glued and screwed them into place, and added side supports so it couldn’t tip over (#toddlerproblems).
