Luckily, according to today’s test results, my Old Pa won’t have to have open heart surgery this time. He will have a second bovine replacement valve installed by a far less invasive method where they enter through a vein in the groin, one week from today. The original replacement valve that was installed 4 years ago is failing due to calcification. Apparently this is a common problem for dialysis patients. He is pleased that soon he will be just a little bit more bovine. Old Pa has always had an affinity for cows. 🐄
