love the implications that The Sandman, at some point, must have just straight up doxxed himself

like ok, in our world we know about him, we have our own myths about the Sandman, but not the Forge Keeper even though they’re probably about the same level of known in the dream world. Of course you could logically say that the dream chasers just carried over stories of the Sandman to our world and the unaware dreamers caught onto it and *boom* Sandman tales, but why just the Sandman? Why not the Forge Keeper too?

So no I don’t think the dream chasers were responsible for the waking world finding out about the Sandman, especially when the Night Bureau seems pretty set on keeping the waking world and dream world separated.

WHICH MEANS, that at some point something must have happened, either Sandman getting a bit to chummy with some dreamers or straight-up accidentally doxxing himself to the waking world or whatever else, that resulted in the waking world having myths about him
