17.An upside-down "Spider-Man" kiss Senritsu heard the old, worn-down leather of Kayoos saddle give in around the rear belt a second before it actually ripped and it was as loud as thunder. She hung like a wet sack of earth in the air, with one foot still hanging in the stirup, the other leg hanging down and her arms held up as if she still tried to grab for Kayoos old saddle but yet her arms were frozen in the middle of the movement. Kurapika blinked. The wild, panicky beating of his heart slowly easing with every other breath and with that song easing and slowing down, so was his grip on her shoulders easing up just a little so his nails would nolonger dig painfully into her back. Liek in an insticnt Senritsu reached up with a hand, carefully and gently tapping her fingers against his wrist to calm him.

"...Well than," Senritsu held up her short arms much too theatralically to be serious. The air was cold, almost icy and the forestcrowns above their heads were very beautifully visible from the way she hung unelegantly in the air, but still she stretched her neck to look up to Kurapika. " I am defenseless and at your mercy.", the woman dramatically placed a small hand on her chest, arching her back like a victorian maiden ready to faint. Senritsu did not lasted a second before quiet, melodic chuckles started to drench her words: "What do I have to do to get that mercy, oh so great Waka-Gashira of the Nostrade family, mhmmmmm?" Senritsu had to hold her breath to not laugh right against Kurapikas lips, but she still chuckled loudly against te other leaning forward down to her and into the small little pecks that would have turned into a more deeply kiss if the laughter would not have broken out of her eventually in a melodic song.

At least she was laughing until the leather of the rear-belt was completly giving in an there was suddenly nothing but air holding up her leg.

The crown princess’ words reminded the high captain of himself and of his burning desperation for life and adventure, away from the imprisoning castle walls. She was as beautiful and as wise as her mother and she was the crown princess all expected of her and yet, part of her was somehow as reverent and deviant as her aunt and uncle, the forest called for her in ways not adequate for royalty, even the elven sort. And yet, she was still a child, her child. He had seen her grow before his eyes, had taught her how to use a bow and arrow, played and sang with the princess as she slowly grew into a beautiful woman. To see her unsafe was he last thing Deileryn expected. Under his watchful eye, Amaryllis would never know danger and discomfort.

“Do not say such words. As the crown princess your safety is most important. No harm is coming your way so as long as I’m around. Are you attempting to rebel?” he teased her instead, intending to lighten her grim thoughts.
