Hi there, I might be kind of obsessed with the idea of rbr charles or rbr lestappen so I need to hear the thoughts of some people who might not be in the "lestappen gate 2023" bubble as I am :)) Do you think this can actually happen and become reality? (After all Charles is better of with rbr than ferrari, that's for sure.)

redbull have never had 1-2 teammate finish before this year. ever. it doesn't make sense to fire the driver who finished 2nd in the championship which is exactly where you want him. if checo's lawyers were worth any salt im sure he had a stipulation like you can't fire me for this unless you're willing to PAY pay. checo has a contract til 2024 which redbull is willing to play out. if you've heard newey, he said next year's car is supposed to be even better 🤞 somehow

if checo completely forgets how to drive next year and the grid is super competitive, I can see him being midway switched into the season which redbull is known to do -- but they would do it with someone internally, like they did with kyvat and max, or alex and pierre. as in, they'd be looking at daniel or yuki, since liam lawson is already waiting in the wings.

now 2025 is the Great Unknown, many contracts are expiring apart from max's. here's why it doesn't make sense for charl to go to redbull in 2025: regulations change in 2026. presumably redbull is gonna be fucked by it, like they were fucked by 2013 reg change or merc was fucked by 2022. both maxywaxy and horner have raised some concerns about the reg change. they're getting Ford as their new engine partner, with no clue how that's gonna effect the car -- cause the current Honda is what they're winning the championships with. we can expect redbull domination until 2025, but after that it's anyone's game. so if charles is signing with redbull in 2025, he's coming into a very strong car and a team that's been centred around 1 driver for 9 years at that point. and that's his one chance for sure to fight for the championship. he doesn't even get 1 season's grace period of acclimatising as max's teammate because he doesn't know what 2026 regs will do to the car, if he has another shot. that's a lot of pressure, where even p2 is seen as a failure.

one of the reasons charles is so highly rated is because he puts up a fight against max, like the first half of last year when the Ferrari was faster, or this year when the redbull is slow on certain tracks. if charles moves to redbull, p2 is the MINIMUM of what he's expected. look at how fans do not rate any of max's teammates, cause unless you beaten him it doesn't count. everything chal does in redbull will be held with max's yardstick measure, a team where max has been longer, the only car max has had to drive while charles needs to adjust to it.

I don't think anyone is unbeatable, lewis wasn't, max isn't. but max is the best driver in that redbull.

redbull doesn't want or need 2 drivers fighting for the championship. they need a competent second driver. the valtteri or mark webber buffer. charles is very much the face of ferrari and regarded as the better driver, why would he go to redbull to play max's second fiddle? charles has world champion ambitions, redbull already has a world champion they're happy with -- why invest in another very expensive driver? when they can get a more willing team player, or even look for a younger talent they can move to the seat for 2028? redbulls favouritism predicates on performance, so if charles outperforms max you can expect redbull to be in "let them race" mode, like they did when rookie max outperformed daniel. but that means charles only has 2025, his very first year in redbull, to not only adjust as max's teammate but also beat him.

finally, we don't know if charles wants to move to redbull. we know he loves ferrari, for better or for worse. before max's extension to 2028, charles got the longest ever f1 contract extension with ferrari -- and that's before charles had anything to his name beyond being called predestined.

you've seen how the mclaren went from p19 p20 earlier this season to genuine podium contenders. this is the kind of magic turnaround every team is hoping for. if mclaren are championship contenders next year, every team will know you can change shit up in only 1 year. that's sunk cost fallacy if charles makes a high risk little reward move to redbull and suddenly the ferrari is a championship contender.

the tifosi love him, he wants to win a championship with ferrari, he already got a taste of what it feels like by winning Monza and the first half of 2022 season. I truly think as long as ferrari will have him, and as long as charles can endure, they're in this marriage of misplaced devotion. because the love and childhood dream is so strong for him. seb didn't leave the team until they fired him, you think he wouldn't waste another decade in the ferrari if they'd have him? and that was a 4x wdc.

If you enjoy lestappengate, if you want to speculate on it -- go forth and find your peace and joy. that's none of my business. it doesn't make sense to me, but that doesn't mean it can't make sense to you.

I got one better about Daniel - I read that he was confirmed to drive in the pre season test BUT he won't be in the seat for 2025 and I just don't know where people take those rumours from - like it would make sense. I get that people are sad he left, he was funny but come on, can they just start placing him in the Audi seat and leave Sergio alone? Franco, from what I saw, is already signed by three teams and Lewis is trying to get him a contract with Mercedes so I say the rumours are completly released from logic at this point. Aboout the dating life of drivers - I never understood why people takie interest in that, I don't know why they feel this is important (my guess is that DTS and X brainwashed them to think that all public figures are celebrities who want the attention and they can't see the problem with invading privacy - which is horryfing) but I hope Franco won't become another target for the media. I wouldn't be surprised if he said something like that, after all Liam comes from Helmut's school of assholery so it would be very on mark for him but that's just another voice in the void. What new can he say when he is basically repeating everything Helmut said before? Yeah I saw the uproar (small but still surprising) supporting Sergio last week and idk what to think. Part of me says it's the KitKat x F1 colaboration that forced the media to not add to the hate but maybe they finally decided to think for a moment? (doubtful but who knows). Jos was weirdly quiet since his last comment (that was nice) about Sergio and it's either an early Christmas miracle or he got burned too much by the attention media turned towards him (maybe he is tired of seeing himself portrayed as a monster - he is awful and I will never feel pity for him but hate is hate and even he must feel something about this) that he decided to stay out of this.

My guesses about the future rumours and some predictions are:

Daniel will be racing in LV and only there becuase he matches the vibe of the place;

Yuki will win to annoy Helmut but the media ignores it completly and still say he doesn't deserve the seat;

Franco acctually signed with many teams to troll them and next year he races in different colours every week;

Liam goes full Marko and says some racist shit to get extra points in Helmut's book;

Checo and Max retire after Abu Dhabi and start their own team leaving RBR without money, drivers or engine - becasue Ford will go with Sergio, no way they'll leave their prince;

LV is such a mess of sucking up to random celebrities and showing the drivers like animals in a zoo that Max explodes and makes 10 minute long rant in curses only - all that live

The media will set a panel for a reality show and stalk Sergio with cameras asking him about his seat every 5 seconds until he breaks down or attacks someone;

I think Markorner will try at least once more to break Sergio mentally - so they either will accuse him of something and try to ruin his reputation or they will have something done to the car so Checo can't race or can't break or anything that could make RB20 worse than it already is. If the deal with the contract isn't done yet (which I think it is and Sergio showed all his cards - that's why Horner was so salty) they wil ltry once again to find a loophole.

Oohh, juicy! I haven't read about the pre season thing... lately a lot of news are saying that Ricciardo would have saved the constructor's title, like if the RB20 is a car that anyone can drive except Checo. Although a rumor about this is also that RBR doesn't care about the Constructor's title because they need time in the wind tunnel; they need that more than the money, apparently.

Franco is the hot rumor and will be until the season ends and we know his future. But I think the most accurate you said is the one where he will take turns to drive in each time one race, so he can see which team suits him better and all.

There's another rumor about *why* Checo hasn't being fired, and that's because apparently he has some osrt of role in the F1 movie? It was too wild even for me.

Too late for Franco not becoming a target of the media, I get why his manager kind of went off and told everyone to back off.

You know what's funny? The thing between Liam and Checo was weeks ago, and the media is still talking about it! And what disturbs me the most: RADIO SILENCE ON THE MARKORNER FRONT! They haven't said anything, and that's kind of scary.

The one going rogue was Checo's Dad. He really messed up, he's not media trained, he's used to be very visceral when they get nasty with Checo, but this year he had been a champ, not making declarations or saying anything detrimental... and then something happened and then he decided to just spill it all. Not sure what provoked this, but it was really unfortunate because the one paying the price, as usual, will be Checo.

My predictions for the next three races:

Lawson trying not to be the villain and failing, making him even more evil than expected.

Hulk winning in Vegas, just because he deserves it.

Checo and Max buying RBR and making it their baby.

The weird Domenicali rumor (is he leaving? is he not?) it's just so we don't see who is behind everything: CHECO, who owns all F1 and that's why he gets so many penalties and points in his superlicense, so they don't think about favoritism.

Hulk and KMag will marry in Vegas, mark my words.

Charlos divorce will be very bitter.
