remembered one of the plot points i had floating around with the nova au as a kid and it’s so funny i'm going to keep it. befriending a killer robot in disguise with an inexplicably large amount of knowledge on the mechanics of time travel is all fun and games unless you are shadow the hedgehog, in which case she'll kidnap an alternate timeline version of your dead sister drop her on your doorstep and not get why you’re freaking out and retraumatised instead of happy. nova is still learning about the concept of gifts please be patient.

#for those who haven’t seen my insane rambling about the nova au #it’s an au where metal sonic disguised himself as an organic hedgehog (named nova) to try and assassinate team sonic instead of doing heroe #and it uh. does not end up going as planned. she realises she’s transgender (to all the genders) and ends up in a qpr with sonic #entirely based on a mutual desire to eventually fight each other to the death when they hit their peak I might add it’s uh. a complicated #but. she also ends up being good friends (by her definition) with shadow bc they can relate to each other as adopted nonhuman robotnik kids #nova mostly bullies the shit out of shadow (she’s not trying to be mean she just inherently sees a need to assert superiority)#but she does try to be nice bc she cares about him she was kind of like a mentor for him in the au's version of shadow #she's just worse at it than very politely asserting dominance by trying to win at social situations.
