Jack Champion x Photographer!Reader
Part 1/?
☁︎ Fluff
Summary: y/n is a photographer for the new scream promo and Jack thinks she belongs in front of the camera rather than behind.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
"Y/N did you double check the SD card was empty?" My best friend and work partner, Leah, shouted from down the hall. "Yeah it was the first thing i did this morning,"
Leah and I have been working together ever since college where we met during our photography course. We have been inseparable since both landing a job at a highly praised magazine company.
Today is going to be a great day as we have been given the front cover photoshoot with full creative control too. It has been my childhood dream to have even a small picture but another front page? The feeling never gets old.
Leah and I finish packing all of our equipment into the car and we start the drive down to the studios in LA. As it’s kind of a long drive Leah starts our little road-trip with our favourite song. We scream the lyrics and laugh when the people, in the cars that pass us, give us strange looks.
To save our voices from any extreme damage, we put on some less energetic music and go over the plan for the day. “Wait, have you seen the cast for Scream 6?” Leah suddenly asks.
“Yeh like sorta… no not really” I answer scrambling for my phone. “Well we know Jenna from the Wednesday shoot so that’s less worrying right?” I say as I wait for the list to load.
“Oh yeah I forgot you did that! Do you think she will remember you?”
(Scream VI Groupchat POV)
Jenna- how close is everyone to the studio?
Devyn- I’m parked outside
Melissa- the shoot starts in half an hour
Devyn- I LIKE TO BE EARLY OK?!
Jasmine- YOU DIDN’T HAVE TO BRING ME THIS EARLY TOO THO
Liana- wait you guys drove together? You could’ve invited me 🥺
Jasmine- use that emoji again and I will become ghostface
Liana- 🥺sowy🥺
‘Jasmine’ has left the group chat.
Mason- Jenna this is your fault
Jack- What the hell did I just miss?
Jenna- HOW WAS IT MY FAULT?
Mason- YOU ASKED THE QUESTION
Jack- Jenna, Mason is the reason we are running late please don’t kill us.
Jenna- thanks for actually answering jack, mason I’m going to kill you
‘Devyn’ added ‘Jasmine’ to the group.
Devyn- see you guys soon!
(Y/N POV)
“ I doubt she will remember, I didn’t really speak” I answer, as I start to cringe over my previous shoots without Leah. Leah is literally my rock, and she knows this as she looks over to me. “You will be great, I’ll be there if things get too awkward, and you have all your notes on your phone and in your notebook.” I give her a smile as I reach for said notes to calm my nerves.
When we arrive at the studio I already see two of the actors and they wave as we walk past their car. I feel a lot less stressed as I see that everything is clean for us to set up our equipment. Leah and I finish in a record time thanks to my meticulously drawn plan of the placement for lights and tripods.
One of the producers walks in to check if we are ready. He lets us know that two actors are going to be late but it won’t ruin the shoot. As he leaves to alert the cast Leah stands next to me to make sure I don’t run away.
“OMG it is you!” I hear a voice come round the corner. “I thought I recognised your name, guys this is the talent who created all the Wednesday promo!” Jenna exclaims to the group before walking over to hug me.
“It is great to see you again Jenna! And it’s lovely to meet all of you too.” I say to the room. “I’m Y/N, this is Leah and the stylists are in the other room.” I start to explain the plan for the day.
“So any questions?” I ask after I realise I’ve been talking rambling for too long. “Oh last thing, sorry, if at any point you feel uncomfortable or awkward in a pose or something, just let me know and I will sort it as fast as I can.” I let the cast go to their stylists, who they knew from set, and walk towards my camera and laptop to make sure everything is loaded up and ready to go.
“She did remember you.” Leah said in a hushed giggle as my face starts to go red.
(Jack’s POV)
We are late. Mason is late. So I’m late. I hate being late to these things. Especially when it’s people I’ve never worked with before, although I think I remember Jenna saying she’s met one of the photographers before but that doesn’t calm me down one bit.
“Hey man, chill out” Mason interrupts my internal panic. “They won’t mind, you can charm them with your good looks yeh?” He suggests. I widen my eyes to show I don’t agree. “Fine, I’ll apologise in my own way and you do it how you want too.” He sighs, jokingly.
When we finally arrive we are pushed into the changing rooms so fast that I don’t get to apologize for our lack of punctuality. I quickly change into my costume before jumping into the makeup chair, next to Mason. Once the artist has finished I text my mum to tell her I made it and left it on the vanity. I headed out to the studio once Mason was done too.
"Look who decided to show up!"
Tumblr media
Part Two will be their meeting! Or should I say meet-cute?
Also (shameless plug) I really want to be a photographer so I would mean a lot if you followed/checked out my Instagram:

Coming To An Understanding #9
Melissa makes her way into the house, waving as Gerald pulls away from the kerb to take his rather worse for wear wife home.  It had been a while since she and Barb had a girls’ night out.  Which for them meant a good meal and too many cocktails.
Closing the door behind her, she puts her bag down and tosses her coat onto the hook before making her way into the house proper.  She freezes on seeing you asleep on the couch in the dim light of the TV screen.  You had come round before she had gone out, the shower at your apartment broken.  She has a vague memory of you offering to pick her up, but she hadn’t expected you to stay.  She hadn’t even seen your car outside.
She pauses in the doorway to the living room, toeing off her heels and tiptoeing into the room.  If you looked comfortable she might consider leaving you to sleep but you’re slumped at an awkward angle and she knows you’ll be sore if she leaves you where you are.  Taking a deep breath, she quietly approaches the couch, perching on the arm of it as she tentatively reaches out to gently touch your shoulder.
You stir, grumbling as you feel yourself being jostled.  Blinking slowly, it takes you a few moments to realise where you are, and that what has woken you is Melissa’s hand on your arm.  “You were meant to call.”
“Sorry,” she replies sheepishly.  “Gerald dropped me off.”
Sitting up, you frown.  “Why are you sorry?  It was me who fell asleep instead of coming to pick you up.”
She ducks her head.  “I didn’t mean to be so late.”
“There is no too late when you’re out having a good night,” you tell her as you stretch.
Melissa looks up, soothed a little by your gentle smile.
“You have fun?” you ask.
She nods.  “Yeah.  It was good.”
You take in the small smile she manages as she replies, but something is off.  Quite what it is, you’re not sure.  “What’s wrong?  Too much to drink?”
“I didn’t have that much!” she snaps.
You flinch at the abrupt change in tone and volume.  “I didn’t say you did,” you offer hesitantly, your smile replaced by a frown once more.
She sighs, shaking her head.  “I’m sorry.”
Reaching across, you put a hand on her knee where it bounces in agitation.  After a moment, she covers your hand with her own, her fingers tracing yours.
“Joe only used to wait up for me to start a fight,” she admits quietly.  “Tell me I’d stayed out too late, that I was too drunk, or tell me…tell me I looked like a slut or some shit like that.”
You let out a long breath, finally understanding her hesitancy in actions.  She was scared.  Scared to wake you.  Scared of what your reaction might be.  You turn your hand over where it rests on her knee and lace your fingers together, squeezing tightly.  “I’m not him,” you tell her.  “If I’d known it would’ve made you uncomfortable I’d have gone back to my apartment.  I only stayed because I figured if I was picking you up your place was closer.  I tried to wait up because I wanted to see you, make sure you were okay.”  You pause, waiting until you see her glance at you from behind her hair to offer her what you hope is a reassuring smile.  “Are you okay?”
She leans into you and you shift so you can wrap an arm around her shoulders.  “I’m okay,” she says finally, and you press a kiss to her hair.  “I’d kill for one of your grilled cheeses though.”
At this, you laugh, pleased at the change in tone. “What the lady wants, the lady gets.”  You give her shoulders a squeeze before standing.  “You want to get ready for bed and I’ll bring it up?”
“You think a few drinks means I’m okay with crumbs in my bed?”
Shaking your head, you laugh once more before leaning down to kiss her.  “Fine, you go get into something comfy and I’ll have your grilled cheese ready by the time you’re done?” you suggest.  “Not that I don’t appreciate the outfit, for the record,” you add as you help her up from the couch.
“Oh yeah?” She smirks.
You shrug.  “Like I said before you left, as much as I like it on, I’d love to take it off.”
She looks at you for a long moment and you can see the cogs turning.  “I want to let you but I want a grilled cheese and sleep more.”
At this, you can only chuckle.  “And I am not offended by that.”
*
As Melissa appears in the kitchen in an oversized t-shirt and fluffy socks, face free of make-up and hair in a messy ponytail, you smile.  She looks downright adorable.  Hopping up on the worktop, you smile as she snags half of the grilled cheese from the waiting plate and comes to stand between your legs.  She tells you about her night between bites, her hands animated.  You love watching her so open, more herself than before.
Your heart still hurts for her that Joe failed to find joy in the little moments with her.  Failed to realise how lucky he was that she came home to him, even if that was slightly drunk in the early hours of the morning.  You’re not so naïve to believe that your relationship with Melissa will be without its tough times, but no matter what happens, you make a silent promise to be the woman she will never be scared to come home to.  You love her and everything that makes her Melissa, and you vow to be the person she feels safe to be herself with.
As she finishes her grilled cheese you make a quick clean up of the kitchen, fetching her a glass of water and painkillers.  Just in case, you tell her, before taking her hand and leading her up to the bedroom.
As you brush your teeth side by side, she smiles at you in the bathroom mirror, nudging your shoulder with her own.  Grinning back at her as you finish up you lead her to bed, turning off the lights as you go and laying on your back as she curls into your side.
“I love you.”
Her words are quiet in the darkness of the bedroom, and you’re glad she can’t see the tears that gather in your eyes at her gentle admission.  It’s not the first time she’s said it, but somehow, after the events of this evening, they hit different.  “I love you too,” you whisper back, pressing a kiss to the top of her head.

Growing into the Job, Post 407: Babysitting, p2 (Breakroom Interlude One)
“What kind of tea is that?” Melissa asked, as she sat her big butt down in the old breakroom. She’d spent most of her day in the new wings, helping get things ready, but was back in the office this afternoon. Her feet, even in these new pumps, were killing her. She felt the heels might snap at any time; she needed another pair now that she was getting so much heavier. “It smells like licorice.”
“It is kozieradka i koper włoski,” smiled Katarina, currently the medical records clerk here at FHMA, “Fenugreek and the fennel.” She, too, had been working on the other side of the building all morning, in the just-about-ready Regression Clinic. They’d just put in the new chairs and had the parturition canal delivered. “Is good lactation aid. Bring in more the milk.”
“Mmm,” Melissa nodded, feeling a little twinge as she glanced down at her blonde co-workers chest, which seemed ready to burst the buttons of her crisp white blouse, to the point where gaps were puckering below her neckline. “Looks like you need to pump?”
“Yes always need to pump,” Katarina chuckled, grasping one big breast through her top, squeezing, “Is…how do you call it…’full time job’.”
To that, Melissa giggled, and took a sip of her own tea. Peppermint, with some honey. “Speaking of, we’re going to need to put someone new here at the medical records desk, once you start up in the new clinic next week, right?”
Katarina shrugged. “Don’t know. Maybe,” she replied, “Medical record job here easy, boring. Maybe I keep doing it too? No need hire new girl.”
Melissa loved Katarina’s accent. Polish, right? It was adorable.
“Okay, sure,” the tall brunette beauty agreed.  “But once you get too busy just let me know. We can find someone.”
Katarina nodded, took a sip of tea.
“How are things in the clinic? Getting ready?” Melissa asked. Under the breakroom table, she kicked off her heels. Ahhhh.
“Yes, good ready,” the young blonde answered, “I meet Dr. Chou for first time, new therapist, from Evolution.”
“Yes! She’s great isn’t she?” Melissa beamed, “She’s on the team that takes care of me there.”
“Ah yes good,” Katarina smiled, “Also tub getting installed soon. Shanette calling first clients for next week, before she leave for her trip, doing schedule. I saw you have appointment with-?”
“Oh yes I’m so excited for it!” Melissa giggled, feeling herself flush and remembering how cute he looked this morning when she left him all snuggled up under the covers. Randi had better be being nice to him today! She and Jay's relationship had been growing so well, but she knew with some professional help they could go even farther.
Another twinge, right near her nipple. “Hey can I try your tea?”  Melissa asked.
“Sure,” Katarina replied, sliding her white mug across the table, with a hint of crooked smile.
Melissa took a slow sip. “Mmm tastes kind of like maple syrup?”
Katarina nodded, took back the tea as Melissa slid it back towards her. “Is good in smoothies too.”
“I bet.” Casually, Melissa tucked an errant lock of her thick, dark hair behind an ear. She’d been wearing it up all day but parts of it were starting to misbehave. “I like your eyeliner,” she said, admiring the blonde’s makeup. Despite having the twins and a husband to care for at home, Katarina always looked so nice. Having only known the Polish girl for only several weeks <check this>, Melissa already felt a nice connection with her. She was a straight shooter, for sure, no nonsense. And really pretty. Plus, Katarina had let Melissa feed Jay her pumped breastmilk recently haha - maybe she liked it, giving him his milk-. She felt like she could talk to Katarina about something she’d been thinking about. As a mom, she might have some insight.
“So, um, Katarina,” Melissa began again. The two women were alone in the breakroom, still. “You know Dr. J and I have been getting really close?”
“You are the girlfriend-boyfriend, yes?”
“Yes yeah. We’re trying to be really open, really honest with each other now.” Well, I’m doing the best I can without freaking him out. “And, so, for a while, I’ve been able to, like, read him really you know what I mean? Like, I know what he needs, almost know what he’s thinking…?”
“Yes yes?” Katarina nodded, leaning in towards the table, listening. She’d write this down later, in her report. Or maybe not. “Is very normal, you are in love.”
“Well, yes,” Melissa responded, feeling herself flush. Love! Yes!  “But, like, I know it sounds weird but sometimes I can actually, like, see things, like his dreams or whatever he’s, like, thinking about. Like see it see it,” Melissa continued, pausing. “Can you do that, like, with your babies? Or your husband?”
“My boys?” Katarina answered, considering the question, pausing herself. “Is easy, I know what they always be thinking about.” Another pause. “Boobs. Always boobs. Bab…babies  and husband the same.””
Melissa giggled.
“But, Doctor…” Katarina asked, with new interest, “…what he think about now?”
“You mean, besides boobs?”
Katarina chuckled. “Yes, besides boobs.”
“Well, like I said, it was weird, but it was like I was seeing his memories or something,” Melissa said, “I saw what his mom looked like, when he was young, before she left him as a baby.”
“Yes?” This was new, Katarina thought. “Mother looked…?”
“A lot like me,” Melissa answered, “A lot like I look now.”
“Pretty?”
Melissa flushed again. “Yes,” she answered, “And thank you.”
“Big boobs?” Katarina continued.
“Yes.” Mine are bigger.
“Big butt? Big hair?”
“I guess?” Melissa answered, “He was just a baby. I think everything looked big to him.”
This was definitely going in Katarina’s report. Or maybe not. “Did she nurse him?” she asked.
Now Melissa definitely felt a twinge behind her nipple. “I dunno. I dunno if he knows.”
Unapologetically and a bit clinically Katarina’s gaze fell to Melissa’s massive chest. “Do you feel it, like..?”
“Coming in?” Melissa replied, “I dunno…maybe?”
Katarina nodded, and took a sip of tea. “Then I bet she did,” she offered, “But not enough. Never enough for boys. My husband same way. Weaned too early.”
Omigod these twinges!
Melissa’s mind was beginning to swim, building in excitement. “S-so…what’s it like? Nursing?” she asked, “The babies, I mean?”
To that, Katarina smiled. “So, like, the feeling of the milk coming in is warm, thick but sexy, like a build putting you on edge. It just build up, feels heavy and on display,” she began, “Is hard to ignore, can get very uncomfortable after a while if not squeeze, pump, nurse.”
Melissa, rapt, nodded.
“But the moment someone latches on and starts to feed,” Katarina continued, “each suck is like a short burst. Is like orgasm and washes over body in waves. You feel belly tighten and chest get light while the dziecko in your arms starts to weigh heavier. It is like…transfer of gravity, of weight, of love, and very very…how you say it? Pleasurable.”
“Oh my,” Melissa said, her tea forgotten.
Seeing her audience so interested, Katarina continued. “It is like to be inside him and let love overwhelm him, whole act of nursing is just drowning him in you with breast practically smothering his face.” She took a long drink of her lactation tea. “If not careful, you can smother. But now your milk coating his insides, becoming part of him, you providing nice experience, relaxing experience.”
“Relaxing?”
“Ha yes for you both. Better than massage, for mamusia,” Katarina chuckled, “just lay there cradling him while he feed and matka just becoming… almost like hypnotized by the rhythm of his sucking and the waves of gentle pleasure that come each suck. Sometimes come slow, sometimes fast and…how do you call it?…needy.”
“Needy, yes,” Melissa breathed, “Omigod I’m so jealous.”
Katarina could not help the proud smile that had crinkled her dimples. She played with her mug, cradling its warmth in her hands and then looking up at Melissa. “He have some of mine, again?” she asked.
“Yes, just last night, the last bottle.”
Katarina nodded. “You should measure him.”
“Oh god…Yeah, we did,” Melissa sighed, “Well, Randi did. She’s home with him now. She measured him just a couple hours ago.”
“Smaller?” Katarina asked, the pride shining through some more.
“Y-yes,” Melissa responded.
“That’s…how do you say?…hot, right?”
“So hot.”
Katarina chuckled, and pushed her mug across the table to Melisssa. “Is normal, how you feel right now,” she said, watching Melissa eye the steaming tea, “becoming mother-figure to man you love is natural. Is good step for you.”
Melissa took the tea, took another sip.
“I swear you are not going to want to give him a solid meal ever again,” Katarina added wistfully.
The idea of breastfeeding Jay was a true delight to Melissa. She already loved supplying him with warmth, now that his body supplied so little of it itself and he was beginning to depend on her for it. She loved making the money for them both, providing for them and giving him his allowance. She lived making his air, filling him with the oxygen of her kisses. She loved taking care of him and trying to keep him all to herself even to the point that often when they would kiss she would hold him above the ground so that the earth was no longer touching him. She would be his Earth. She loved holding him and carrying him around and cradling him so it was little wonder that the thought of being able to breastfeed him and provide all his body's nutritional needs was exceptionally exciting to her.
By this point, the urges were crackling through her like electricity. Melissa sat up, stood up, and pushed Katarina’s tea back across the table to her.  “I need a mirror,” she said, picturing the sink in the ladies’ room right before she stepped away. I’ve got some manifestations to do.
============================================
Thank you to PoisonedSugarPill for giving us a woman’s perspective on the experience of nursing. So…how do say?…helpful. And RiF for his edits.

my favorite mulder moments from s2
him having no faith in episode 1 after the x files are terminated, not even believing what he knows to be true regarding his sister’s disappearance
(and then being the moodiest motherfucker for the foreseeable future)
the fact that he got a fish in between s1 and s2. this brought me so much joy, you don’t even know
his monologue in episode 1, addressed to scully, who was not present: “before I could only trust myself, now I can only trust you, and they’ve taken you away from me… my life up until this point has been about seeing her again, but what would I do if they really come?” <- dear goddddddd. sometimes you get some lines that cut right to the heart of a character and this is one such example.
seeing his horrific workspace where he listened to audio recordings, a job he loathed- it was covered in sunflower seeds, pages with doodles, him stabbing an empty cup. truly a man with no fucks to give.
very very very fluffy hair in the early episodes
when episode 5 opens on him swimming in a big pool. there really was no narrative reason for that except we now know he swims recreationally and that is exactly the kind of thing i’m interested in knowing.
in episode 6, when he meets scully’s mom after her kidnapping, he listens to her say she dreamt of her being taken away, and hugs her
(and all throughout that episode, how he was told to go home because he was too close to the case, but instead got more and more involved. he even drove out to try and find her while falling asleep behind the wheel. dangerous behavior)
((and when he thinks scully is at the top of the mountain, he pulls his gun on the man who runs the ski lift to MAKE SURE he can get to the top as quick as possible. this one was WILD to me. pulling a gun on someone, just to get to her as fast as he can!!!!! he did not care about proper protocol! job be damned he was getting her HOME))
(and when they finally DO get duane barry, he sees scully's blood and hair on his wristband, and starts CHOKING him. you do NOT want to mess around with this man. he tells krychek that NO ONE is to interrogate the suspect but him. NO ONE. he is in what i affectionately refer to as bloodhound mode; there shall be no rest until an answer is sleuthed out)
trying to return scully’s necklace to her mother, who refuses to take it, so he can give it back to her
he has a lot of really emotional moments with scully’s mom, such as telling her she can’t give up hope even as they are picking up her gravestone in episode 8, which he cannot bear to look at
when scully is found, he bursts into the hospital, screaming at the doctor and saying he’ll do anything to figure out what they did to her, to the point where he had to be escorted from the room
(also love when he’s waiting to hear news on how she is doing, and he’s pacing his apartment, bouncing a ball, entirely unable to sit still, he’s so terrified)
after she is found, x tells him to walk away and never look back, and he immediately disregards this information to go chase down whoever knew anything about scully’s disappearance
when her family decides its time to remove her life support, he refuses to go in with them, looking the saddest and wettest a man has ever been
“you could spend the rest of your life finding every person that’s responsible, and it’s still not gonna bring her back”, says melissa. “including myself?” he asks. always taking the blame.
breaking into CIGARETTE MAN’S HOUSE. gun to his head. why her, he asks.
his confrontation scene with skinner, who refuses to accept his one-sentence resignation letter, and who tells him of his own demons. allowing for some skinner lore and deep connections to be made.
again in episode 8, he’s waiting in his apartment for the folks who took scully to arrive so he can kill them, but melissa puts him into his place- “why is it so much easier for you to run around trying to get even than just expressing to her how you feel? i expect more from you. dana expects more from you”
so he leaves his apartment and the one chance he’ll ever have to know who did this to her, and instead goes to sit by her bedside, holds her hand, and talks to her comatose body
(then, we he returns to his apartment, which has been ransacked by those involved with the crime, he falls to the ground, sobbing)
but how BIG he smiled when he heard that her eyes were open!!
in episode 9, when he finally has her back, how he helps her out of the helicopter when they fly to a distant volcano research base <3
also, in episode 10, when they’re being driven to a farm, and he lets her take shotgun so he can lounge about in the back
when he drops this banger line while sitting at a picnic table in episode 12: “i’ve often felt that dreams are the answers to questions we haven’t yet figured out how to ask” (and then does not elaborate)
at the aforementioned picnic table, the detective vaguely describes seeing some sort of symbol, and he immediately realizes it was the logo for the 1939 world’s fair, which is SO funny to me. because WHY does he know that!
when he lifts the caution tape over scully so she can bring her umbrella to the rainy crime scene in episode 13 <3
talking to a random guy in a town they’re visiting for an investigation: “you know andy” “no, I don’t” “well, andy knows you” <- another instance of him being famous in the nerd community
all the times he starts rambling about different belief systems, like the idea of obtaining a new soul in the ep 13, or the concept of wicca in episode 14
when they go to the refugee camp in episode 15, and a child tries to sell them a good luck charm, which he pays a nice $5 bill for
getting hit by a car in episode 16, and then making some dumbass quip about how he should have used the crosswalk
going back home when his "sister" is found, tucking his mom into bed with a kiss
then his dad confronting him, blaming him for losing his sister in episode 17,  leaving him crying as he tries to process the grief of getting her back just to feel guilty for her death
(don’t worry though- it wasn’t really her. but damn, he thought it was, and this scene was devastating)
finding his faith again with scully at his bedside after almost dying of alien poison
when he goes for a jog in florida (episode 20), arguably the hottest and most miserable of all continental US states, in a sweatshirt and sweatpants. and i cannot explain this behavior. he is deeply peculiar.
on the investigation of the sideshow performers, he flirts with the man fixing scully’s pipes to get him to leave. or as i call it: “weaponized bisexuality”
when he slides through a tiny trap door in a haunted house to come and find scully. great visual gag. i chuckled.
feeling sick at home, taking advil in his slutty little tanktop in episode 25. then proceeding to go wild because he was being drugged. don’t worry, he ends up okay. thanks only to scully.

Fours a Franchise
Part 12
Tumblr media
Wordcount: 8,567
Omfg I got the flu for a week, had a family fued that lasted months between my aunt and...EVERYONE. But thankfully my younger cousin I'm super close to is living with her Dad/My Uncle now after months of this bs so finally there's peace, then in-between this fued and my cousin moving out I got covid and ong I have been foggy headed for 2 weeks afterwards I'm just starting to feel like my normal self again....THEN Wattpad kicked me out of my account. From September till now has been an out of body experience in a bad way 🙃
So thank you all for your support and patience I appreciate it 🖤 but I am so done wracking my brain over this chapter so we're just winging it rn bc I want to write and get past this hump to finish this story then start on 5. So if I missed info or a typo or misplaced lore from previous books *No I did not*~
Annnnddd my motivation with recent Scream news.
The news of Scream 7 is so disheartening and screwed up with Sam and Tara's actresses. So I cannot promise I'm writing till 6 or 7 not only because I'm losing my hyper fixation for Scream after these 2 years but no Tara, Sam, Sidney and most likely no Stu because Matthew is a real one and wouldn't come back after how they treated Neve and Melissa so like? What's the point? This book and 5 I am for sure doing because Billy meeting Sam is a huge writing motive for me. 6 is iffy but 7? I am not. Not only do I not have the motivation to write that much more for this story but it's pointless with so much of Scream being written like bad fanfiction the last 2 installments...Hell, I could do that! But I won't because I probably won't even watch Scream 7 if they make it. The Studio has screwed over Neve and Melissa in ways that I really don't want to support.
Anyways, thank you for the patience. I appreciate all of you! ♡♡♡♡
—————————————
Ghostface grabbed your ankle and you hit the stairs. Hard. But the second they went to stab you, you kicked them as hard as you could in the knee sending them flying back and tumbling down the stairs.
Jill grabbed your arm. "Come on, YN!" As you both bolted for Kirby's room…Kirby had gotten separated during the chase and you didn't know where she was.
Jill locked the door and told you. "The balcony!"
"There's no other way out?"
"You can jump, maybe, I don't know." Jill rushed out past her lips as she got away from the door.
You breathed hard, looking down at the drop off from the second story. You couldn't think long as the door frame started bending; the wood splintering with each bang from the killer trying to break it down.
"That's two stories." You looked at her trying to form a plan. "...Get under the bed."
Jill looked confused, "Wha-"
"Just do as I say." You harshly whispered. "Get under the bed and don't make a sound or come out until I get you, okay? Trust me!…Go!"
You watched her go to crawl under Kirby's bed as you climbed over the railing.
Jill hid under the bed as you heard the door to Kirby's room finally break and the killer come inside. Slowly walking past Kirby's bed...
You made a gasp as you almost fell.
Ghostface darted out onto the balcony to see you descend onto the porch roof. You rushed down around the corner of the home and looked back to see Ghostface on the roof too. Staring at you through that mask before disappearing. You figured back inside to look for the others because you looked back around the corner to see they were gone.
You quickly used the opportunity to get your cellphone.
You faltered just a second...You didn't trust to call police because you did not trust Judy. You didn't care if she was out in the open when Jill's mother was killed. Partners. Besides, you did not have a good track record of using your one phone call for cops and either they don't show up, show up too late, or show up and make things worse with the killer. But you still had to call someone. Randy dead, Gale injured, maybe Dewey? Maybe just risk 911-
You heard a noise and out of reflex you accidently pushed a button on speed dial that you hissed a curse at. Too late, they picked up the phone as you frantically tried windiws.
As soon as it picked up you rushed out, "The killer's here at Kirby's! I need your help. 329 whispering lane-"
You yelled as you rounded the corner to try a window you saw was cracked open just for the killer to jump out at you. You gasped and stepped back as they tried to slash you with the knife as you dropped the phone on the roof and lost your footing. Tumbling off the roof before barely catching yourself on the gutter. Your fingers and hands burned painfully from the impact as well as trying to hang onto the thin uncomfortable metal with your body weight. The hand you injured from the knife stab a decade ago hurt the worst. Tingling and burning as you desperately tried to hang on.
You gasped looking up to see a knife and mask. The knife narrowly missed your hand as you let go and let yourself fall harshly onto the ground. Tumbling painfully before laying there a second from the impact. Robbie no longer screamed…Only the smell of flesh and hair and plastic burning as his body provided some fucked up bonfire in the front yard that blazed overtop a pile of dead leaves...And of course this house was about like Stu's with hardly any neighbors. Should've seen that a mile away.
"Shit…" You grabbed the knife from your boot and bolted, forcing your legs to move even if they didn't want to. Running back into the house before yelping at someone grabbing you. You went to stab them before she said, "No, no, no, no! Sorry, It's me."
You lowered the knife as you saw Kirby. She drew you to a corner of the kitchen to quietly talk. "Look, I tried to call 911 but the landlines dead and someone smashed the router...And my cellphone is missing. I-I don't know, I think I lost it while running I don't understand. "
Your mind raced with that.
But…Did she actually call 911? Or was she lying? Where had she been? Why didn't she go with you and Jill? Did she actually try to call or did she mess with the landline and wifi in her own house?...
You didn't have time to talk as you both heard heavy footsteps upstairs and Kirby opened the basement door and rushed you in, "Oh god. Go, go, go, go, go!" She urged before following after you and locking the door as you both quickly got down the steps as she informed you. "There's a room down here we can lock ourselves in. I heard you yelling at Jill; is she okay? Did she get away?"
You both made it to the room as you told her, "She's safe but where's the others? Trevor, Charlie?"
Kirby breathed out shakily. "I don't know."
You hissed through your teeth. "Did Trevor or anyone have a shoulder or arm wound? I shot Ghostface in the shoulder tonight before they escaped the barn."
Kirby mumbled, "I don't think so." All before locking you both in the dark room…Suddenly, you both gasped and jumped at a banging noise. Nearly jumping out of your skin as you instinctively wielded your small knife. You held your knife tightly as you both saw a bloody Charlie banging desperately on the glass door leading to the backyard.
"Kirby! Please, let me in!"
"Charlie?" Kirby breathed out, going to the door…Her eyes darted to his bloody hand and arm.
He looked where her eyes traveled and he shook his head. "N-No! I got attacked! Please, let me in!..." He kept banging his bloody hand on the glass while fearfully looking around. "Please! There is someone else out here, let me in! They burnt Robbie!...Jesus Christ, Kirby, they set him ablaze in the yard!"
You saw Kirby ponder and you told her firmly. Already having your hunch. "If you can't trust him; don't open the door…"
Kirby looked taken aback by that realization.
Charlie looked outraged on the other side of the glass. "My God! Let me in!" He begged Kirby with fear raising his voice a few octaves. "I don't know who's doing this but it's not me! Please!"
Kirby swallowed but with a tense look told him. "...Get away from the door, Charlie."
"Kirby! It's me!" Charlie whimpered with desperate pleas.
Kirby had tears in her eyes, voice strained as she ordered him. "Get away from the door, Charlie!"
Charlie's bloody hand slid down the glass as he cried out, "It's me! P-Please, Kirby! It's meee-" He whined the last part in a desperate sob.
Kirby shook her head, tears welling in her eyes as her voice cracked. And in the tiniest, crackling voice she told him. "...I'm sorry, I can't…"
You saw the struggle on Kirby's face. Trust no one…This could be a set up to make you trust her completely. You just stood back away from the door or windows with your knife ready. Back against the wall. Nothing behind the wall. Trust no one.
Charlie stepped away from the door into the porch light's view. "What the fuck?!" He yelled in outrage and disbelief.
Suddenly, Ghostface appeared behind him as Kirby screamed, "LOOK OUT BEHIND YOU!!"
Killer grabbing Charlie and banging his head into the glass right over the bloody handprint he left. Smearing blood on the glass before dragging him away into the dark…
You and Kirby looked taken aback, both staring helplessly…Then suddenly, whoever was doing this shut off the outside light. It was pitch black both outside and in the room now as your eyes adjusted to the darkness surrounding you. Back against the wall as you swallowed hard and tried to get your mind in survival mode.
And then…The lights turned on outside to see Charlie tied to a chair…So similar to the report of Steven Oarth's body found or that friend of the girl that worked for Randy.
"Leave him alone!!" Kirby yelled, banging on the glass with teary eyes. "Damnit, leave him alone!"
You stood back and watched in disbelief. Questioning everything. How did Charlie get tied up so easily? Was Kirby faking it? Where the hell is Jill? Where's Trevor? And now, you have no phone to call 911…It was on the roof…Then again, you called multiple times in 1996 that awful night and they didn't show up till a fire broke out...Apparently one body on fire in a leaf pile isn't enough. You felt cornered on your own here. The only thing driving you was to kill this Ghostface and find who they were. Honestly, at this point, in that order. Anyone dumb enough in this situation to run at you with that mask on deserved beat or stabbed and feel guilty about it later.
You saw Charlie bound and gagged in that chair. And you just stood in the darkness of the room helplessly watching.
Kirby's phone rang. Charlie's contact as she answered. In the silence of the room, you could hear the Ghostface's voice on the line talk to Kirby.
"Tell YN heads are gonna roll tonight! Tell YN this is all because of her! Or maybe she wants to take his place? I promise to be quick."
You gritted your teeth hearing the sadistic excitement in their voice. Oh how much you wanted to yank that phone out of Kirby's hand and tell them to stop being a coward and come get you then…But you knew better. Instead, you whispered to Kirby, "Keep them talking." You knew it was most likely one of them or both of them…But it could be an outside influence, someone not necessarily in the group just like Neil was.
Kirby tearily nodded as she sucked in a breath to keep Ghostface on the line as you snuck out of the dark room.
—-------------------------------------
Kirby stood there as you left, shaking like a leaf. "Please, let him go."
"I hear you like horror movies, Kirby. But do you like them as much as him?...Forget watching Stab. You get to live it!"
Kirby's eyes widened, "No! Nononono, he's the expert, not me!" As she locked eyes with Charlie who struggled against his ties.
"Warm up question: Jason's weapon?"
Kirby fumbled at first in her fear stricken state. "Uuhhh, it's a machete." She released a small sniffle and touched her head.
"There, ya see? You do know the genre." The voice is entirely too sweet. Mocking her before snapping. "Michael Myers?!"
"Uh, butcher knife."
"Leatherface?!"
"A Chainsaw! Please!" Kirby answered faster, desperate to save her friend as a small sob escaped her.
"Just ask YN if you need some help. Freddy Krueger?!"
"Uh, uh. Razor hands!"
"Name the movie that started the Slasher craze. Halloween, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Last House on the Left, or Psycho?"
"Psycho!" Kirby growled out through her teeth before the voice aggressively cut her off as Kirby kept pacing the doors window looking at Charlie.
"NONE of the above! Peeping Tom 1960 directed by Michael Powe; first movie to ever put the audience in the killer's POV!"
"Wha-" Kirby's breath caught in her throat as she clutched her head. "What? Please! Nononono, please just ask me one more question, just one more!"
"...Alright Kirby. Then it's time for your last chance question …" The voice so sinister on the other line as Kirby softly cried to herself. "Name the remake of the groundbreaking horror movie in which the villain-"
"Uh Halloween-" Kirby shook her head while frantically going over every horror remake she knew. "Texas Chainsaw, Dawn of the Dead, Hills have.. Eyes-" She scrunched her face forcing this out while trying to scrap her brain for every last straw she could grasp. "Uh Amityville horror, Last House on the Left, F-Friday the 13th, Nightmare on Elm Street, My Bloody Valentine, When a Stranger Calls, Prom Night, Black Christmas, House of Wax, The Fog, Uh…Uh Piranha!...It's one of those, right? Right?!" She demanded while staring out the window at Charlie.
…The line went dead silent. Everything stopped as the line was quiet, no attacks, no taunts.
"I was right?" Kirby gritted her teeth to go outside. "I was fucking right."
She opened the door, looked around, before rushing to her bound friend. "Hold on Charlie." She removed his tape from his mouth as he gasped and groaned at the feeling. Kirby quickly worked on untying him as she spoke. "He tried to trick me but I fucking won!" She smiled a bit as she got his hands free. Looking cautiously around herself in the dark as she tried to get the tape undone on his wrists and ankles. She helped him up and told him, "It's gonna be okay! It's-"
"Kirby." He said her name like it was a chore. "This is making a move."
Kirby gasped as she felt searing pain…A knife Charlie had hidden plunging deep into her abdomen. She choked on tears and air…And her eyes darted to the blood on his white shirt that he claimed was from an attack by the killer…It shifted as he stabbed and she saw a bloody gauze thickly wrapped up where the blood had soaked through from earlier…From us shooting him in the barn…She remembered him acting odd, noticing him wincing a bit when he sat down earlier but she thought it was nerves from stress…My God…It really was Charlie.
He killed his best friend Robbie. He stole Robbie's Dad's Crossbow. He stabbed Gale. He killed Randy Meeks…It was him.
Kirby's teary eyes looked at him desperately for an answer to the madness as she choked on her sobs of pain. He jerked it back out.
"Four years of classes and now you notice me?! All those times at the video store that you could talk Randy's ear off about horror movies like he's a fucking Messiah of horror while ignoring me?! All those years of teasing and leading me on in the friendzone and now you care?!" He demanded with angry tears in his own eyes as Kirby gripped his shoulder in pain gasping for air with wide eyes. Charlie yelled before plunging it back in her again. "Stupid bitch! It's too late!!"
Charlie gripped onto Kirby as her body went lax. Tears and choked whimpers escaping her as the pain felt like shocks coursing through her.
Charlie shhed her as he held her in a soft voice, "Shh, shhh. I know, I know. It's okay, take your time…Doesn't happen as fast in real life as it does in the movies, I know."
He smirked a bit as Kirby could do nothing but feel pain as the shock of all this slapped her in the face…
"C-C-Charlie…"
He brutally killed Olivia to look like Tatum's death. He hosted the party. He massacred Randy. Stabbed Gale. Set his so-called best friend on fire…Now? He was stabbing her to death and killing their entire friend group plus YN.
"Just like Sidney Prescott …Shh…I bet she suffered in that house, huh? Stab had her die instantly but I bet she gasped in pain too when Billy plunged his knife in her." He softly told Kirby.
He then whispered something in Kirby's ear that made her eyes widen…
Kirby choked out pained gasps before Charlie shook his head and shoved Kirby off his knife to let her lay on the ground. Taking gasping breaths like a fish out of water as a pool of blood.
Charlie looked close to crying and ran a hand through his long hair while he stalked back to the house. The night wasn't over.
—--------------------------------------
You tried to look for Jill, Trevor, your phone but couldn't find any. You put your small knife back getting  a much bigger one off the counter…Kitchen knife in hand and backup knife in your boot.
You came downstairs, that front door still open as you rounded the corner.   Opening the door to the bottom level Kirby was at last…But stopped yourself from calling out to her. It was too quiet…You wanted this Ghostface dead or caught. Wanted to help these kids. But everything in you screamed get in the car and get away.
You took a steadying breath and backed up the stairs a few steps. Knife in hand, eyes darting before someone grabbed you in a chokehold so tight you gagged as your knife clattered down the steps and you were jerked backwards.
Charlie's arm had you in a tight grip with his knife at your face. Blood staining his white shirt…And he seemed in pain with the arm he was holding you with. Blood on the shoulder you shot.
…You knew it.
He was pressed against a wall as he mumbled in your ear, “You know you learn a lot when you watch movies over and over. All the plots are about to ridicule you…Think you're gonna get away? Think anyone gets away?” His lips near your ear as you gritted your teeth and slammed him back against a wall.
As soon as he hit the wall he let you go and you grabbed your knife from your boot as you went to run out the door. You were getting out. You were outnumbered now. Just until help got here.
…But you got intercepted…When someone plunged a knife deep into your stomach.
You had been shot and stabbed but never in your gut like that. It knocked the wind from you, your body freezing up in pain as you fell back against the staircase wall. A choking gasp escaped your lips as you clutched your stomach. You went to slash at them, jolted by the pain you felt the second you moved your arm as it radiated down to your abdomen. Ghostface easily smacked that small knife out of your hand.
It clattered to the ground feet away and you felt all air leave your lungs.
The Ghostface came towards you, lowering their knife before taking off that damn mask you learned to resent…
Long dark hair cascaded out first followed by a fair complexion and a smirk on full pink lips…And your mouth dropped.
…Jill.
You shook your head. Shocked because she wasn't even on Randy's radar. And then your face soured as you realized this was just a decade ago all over again. Another one of Sidney's family is either jealous or wanting revenge.
“Hello, Yn…” She tilted her head with a smirk. “Surprised?”
She got inside her mask to show a small camera. “See this? This is the part where the cameras…” It beeped as she held it up smugly. “Turn off.”
“Good.” Was the only thing you heard before a man's hand jerked her by the head and slammed her forehead against the staircase railing as she screamed in pain and anger. Billy had a firm grip on her hair.
“Jill!” Charlie went to defend her before Stu grabbed him by the throat and jerked him back.
“Where you goin’?” Stu taunted. Knife jerking back ready to stab Charlie repeatedly at a moment's notice. “After party's just starting man. Pretty lame if you ask me. Mine was a rager.” Stu jeered with an insane grin.
You couldn't help the relieved smile as you clutched your bleeding abdomen…They actually came back for you. They heard your call and came back.
The sound of a knife jerking out of a pocket sounded as Billy readied his hunting knife. Jill cursed and struggled. “Time to join the other idiots.” He murmured.
Stu grinned, “Hell yeah, man! Number one, baby! We'll always be the one-”
Right when Billy went to plunge his knife into Jill's side she jerked with a scream as he barely got her…Before a gunshot ran out and you saw Stu jerk back with a shocked expression on his face.
Charlie pulled out a gun leveled it behind him shooting again as Stu got shot right in his rib area jerking back from it before Charlie went to shoot again and Stu tripped backwards over a spare chair landing through the glass sliding door with enough force to fall through it.
“Motherfucker!” Billy hissed out ready to slit Jill's throat and Charlie quickly pointed the gun at us; grabbed us by the back of the neck.
Damn…This has happened too many times before.
“Let her go…Or YN dies.” Charlie mumbled, nervously licking at his lips as he fidgeted with you in his grip. You went to struggle, trying to elbow him and Charlie shoved it to your temple as you groaned in pain.
Billy really considered…He glared, Jill still in his grasp. Until Jill stabbed him in the leg. He yelled, accidentally letting her go as he clutched his thigh.
Charlie jerked you into the kitchen as Jill hissed, seeing a bit of blood where Billy barely stabbed her side before she kicked him to follow Charlie and You. “Move, asshole!”
Billy growled in his throat as he readied his knife to stab the ever loving hell outta her before Charlie pointed his gun at him while still having a painful grip on you. “You heard her.”
Billy looked ready to take the risk, not one to back down but hearing Stu groaning in pain among the shattered pieces of glass on the porch and you yelping when Charlie shoved you with too much force into the counter. Right where your stab wound was…He relented.
Walking as Jill told him. “Give me the knife.”
“Bite me, bitch.” Billy scoffed.
Charlie threatened with the gun again. “Come on, what's a knife gonna do with a gun anyways? Try to think.”
Billy scowled before dropping the knife.
Jill smirked. “Not totally stupid. Now walk.” She ordered shoving him as Billy dragged himself forward with her knife leveled at him and her pocketing his for now.
Jill called out Charlie's name as he forced Billy to stand beside you near the kitchen counter. “Already taken care of.” Charlie told her while shutting doors and she stood near you both with the knife.
“Get that other douchebag for the line up.” She ordered.
Charlie went to Stu dragging him through glass by his ankles as Stu groaned in pain, teeth clenched. His shirt too dark and bloody to tell where he was shot before Charlie heaved him with a groan and shoved him up to stand. Then shoving him near the counter as Stu tried to swing on him and missed. Just hissing in pain as he caught himself next to Billy, and to your surprise, Billy instinctively reached out to steady him.
Charlie blew air past his lips with a smirk and showed a camera from his pocket. “Damn, he's a big boy, huh Jill?…And guess what? I got great footage of my Robbie kill. Better than Marnie or Olivia even.”
“Good. We'll cut and upload it later to make it all traceable to Trevor.” Jill replied with the knife near your face.
You panted in pain while Billy stood near you leaning on the counter. His dark eyes scanning the room for any way to get leverage. Stu gripped the counter, sweating but looking murderously at both teens holding you all hostage right now.
If Charlie didn't have that gun? This would've been over with both of them dead. If YOU had your goddamn gun this could've been over before Billy and Stu even got here!
You stared at Jill, seething once the shock wore off realizing the last few days you and Randy were so nice to her; you were talking to the killer all along. Her and Charlie didn't seem to recognize Billy and Stu or if they did they weren't saying.
“Speaking of which-” Charlie opened the doors to the closet and dragged out Trevor who he threw on the ground bound and gagged with tape.
“Remind you of anything?” Charlie retorted towards you.
Yeah, did it ever. Only this time Billy and Stu were just as much victims as you were.
Charlie ripped the tape off as Trevor begged, “Jill pleas-”
“Shut up!” She cut him off with a yell as she stripped herself of the Ghostface robe.
Charlie got closer towards you, blood on him. “See everything I learned I learned from you.”
Stu shoved him away. “Get the fuck away from her, man.” He growled out in pain but this was a man that took so many stabbings when younger and still attacked you and flipped you both over a couch.
Charlie scoffed but he knew who had the power right now as he smirked. But…He looked at Stu longer. Almost trying to connect the dots.
Jill brought Charlie back as she mumbled, “Who are these guys anyways? Don't tell me they're your side pieces or something.” Jill jeered with a malicious smirk as you all said nothing. “You think my cousin Sidney had a shitty boyfriend, YN!? Here's one that fucks you, dumps you…And doesn't even make you famous.” She gave a wry smirk before kicking Trevor in his shoulder as he cried out.
Billy's eyes narrowed and his nostrils flared at hearing Jill was his old girlfriend's cousin. You could tell he wanted to kill her that much more.
Trevor cried out, “The fuck, Jill!? I loved you!”
Jill rolled her eyes, “Shut the fuck UP already!” Before kicking him multiple times as he yelled out in pain each blow.
Stu mumbled to Billy and you, “Mean ass girl, isn't she?” Sarcastically while he huffed and held his side in pain.
Billy asked, "How you holding up?"
"By my last bit of skin, man...Fuck. He got me in the side and lower belly." Stu huffed out in a wince.
"Fuck." Billy scoffed. "...You know what to do still?
Stu smirked, "Yeah..."
Charlie gave the gun to Jill, “I'm sure the cops would want you to have this, Jill. For your protection.”
The second that gun wasn't aimed, Billy and Stu tried to charge Charlie for it. Their street smarts and instincts ready to attack in pain or not but before they could Jill stabbed you in the gut again and the most strangled cry escaped you. It hurt your throat to scream with such a primal pain and it instantly made Billy and Stu falter just enough for Charlie to aim the gun at them.
You cried, tears in your eyes at that god awful pain as you clutched your lower gut.
Jill glared, “Do that shit again and I'll stab her in the throat.” She tilted her head. “Who are you anyways? Shouldn't you both be dead?”
Billy and Stu had no choice but to back off. And when Jill said that…Charlie's entire demeanor changed.
“Oh my God…No way…I-I thought you looked familiar but-” Charlie drew out like some star struck fan.
Jill's eyes widened too before she laughed loudly. “Shut the fuck up!...No way, Gale was right? Gale Weather's was actually right about you, YN!?”
You sniffed back tears, gritting your teeth in contempt but not answering her.
Charlie pointed the gun to each of them. “Bill Loomis…And Stu Macher. It's such a privilege to meet you two in the flesh!”
Billy sneered at him, “Great, another dick rider.” He grumbled under his breath.
Jill chuckled, “I can't believe it.” As even Trevor looked flabbergasted from the floor. “Wow, YN…Little Miss American Sweetheart is actually a treacherous lying snake. I mean, hiding two of the famous Woodsboro killers under everyone's nose and ruining Gale Weather's career over it?...Under different circumstances I'd applaud you.”
Charlie looked momentarily freaked out. “Jill…Jill, what are we gonna do I mean…This changes our plans! I-”
Jill took his gun. “Shhhh.” She softly told him in a way to calm him down. “It'll still work, Baby. Remember? I'm YN and you're Randy…Now, Trevor doesn't have to be Billy. We can work with this. I mean, who is going to question who the killers were with Billy and Stu here?”
Charlie's breath hitched as he forced a smile. “And this time, Randy gets the girl.”
She kissed him. Looking at you with the gun pointed the entire time.
Stu and Billy sneered. And the idea hit you. Charlie…Charlie you shot Charlie in the barn. He wants to be the ‘new Randy’...He was jealous and killed Randy because Randy got Kirby's attention, Randy was the movie expert, Randy was a cool nerd in school unlike Charlie.
You shook your head in disgust. “You'll never be Randy…Do you hear me? He was better than you in every fucking way!” You forced out through tears and clenched teeth. They stopped kissing as you practically snarled at Jill. “And you will never be me! You're nothing but a jealous attention seeking litt-”
You cried out as she pistol whipped you upside the face hard enough to jerk your head and taste blood in your mouth. Billy and Stu had to stop themselves from lunging at her, remembering the gun.
Jill looked at you with a glare as you coughed and wiped blood off your lip. Swearing she just knocked out a tooth.
“Don't you get it? You're old news.” She gave plainly.
You stood back up, blood on the corner of your lip as you tiredly clutched your stomach.
Trevor cried out from on the floor, “Jill, baby! Please, this isn't you!”
Jill gave him a bored look. Leveling the gun at him and holding the knife towards you. You swore she was gonna shoot him but instead…She looked at Charlie.
“Charlie…Ya know, now with us being able to pin this on thee Billy Loomis and Stu Macher…Trevor's role can change. We don't need another Billy or Stu…But we need a James. I mean, every final girl needs some fucked up shit to happen to her like her boyfriend being mutilated. Media will eat that up.”
Your eyes widened and you shook your head.
Charlie even faltered a moment.
Jill glared at him. “Do not chicken out on me now, Charlie!”
Charlie just shook his head swallowing. “Not chickening out…Just gotta make sure we film this. Are we good on time?” He started putting the Ghostface outfit back on.
Jill smiled, “Oh yeah, we're perfect.”
Trevor looked terrified and so did you as Charlie quickly threw Jill's outfit on, getting the mask off the counter and turned the inner camera on. He dropped down to Trevor and slid the knife threatenly over his neck.
“D-Don't!” You begged on deaf ears as Trevor gave a blood curdling scream as Charlie started doing what Billy and Stu did to your boyfriend back in 1996 in that field. Billy and Stu seemed both unfazed or annoyed at best while you closed your eyes and covered your ears screaming over Trevor, “STOP IT!!”
The sounds of him screaming in pain, flesh being ripped as Charlie pulled while sawing, the smell of blood. You felt ready to scream yourself as Billy to your shock drew you near with a hand on your shoulder protectively so you didn't do something stupid like lash out. Him and Stu watched the whole time. While this was the one traumatic thing that happened to you indirectly that you thankfully didn't see even if James was a shitty boyfriend. You closed your eyes and Billy had a death grip on you. You felt sick whether from bloodlose or this was debatable.
You shakily looked when the screams died down and wished you hadn't. Seeing Trevor bloody and half his face skinned off as he seemed to tremble and writhe as his body went into shock from the pain. You wanted to pass out or throw up and knowing Billy and Stu gleefully did this that night while calling you and…And hearing James sobbing and begging you to help him.
Billy's grip tightened on your shoulder as if he knew. His eyes narrowed. Stu tried inching towards a door and Jill shot the gun near the door as everyone flinched or ducked.
She said nothing, not wanting her voice on camera. As Charlie peeled his face the rest of the way off then stabbed him from sternum to groin as he choked and jerked and spasmed in pain on the floor.
And Jill just numbly watched…Watched a boy that loved her get this done to him.
Charlie took off the mask and shut off the camera with a bewildered smirk. “Holy shit…That was awesome.” He held up Trevor's face. “Hey, YN; wanna reenact TCM 2?” And tried to threatenly put Trevor's face on yours as you instinctively hid in Billy's chest. Trying to face away with an uncharacteristic whimper at what you were just forced to see. Like you were a scared teen girl all over again.
“I will staple that face to yours if you even try it! It'll be one hell of an improvement!” Stu jeered and weakly shoved him back as Billy put an arm over you.
However, Billy gripped you and forced you to turn around. You knew it was his way of silently telling you to be strong and you forced yourself to not look at Trevor or the face in Charlie's hand and instead glared at Jill. Feeling weak with blood loss and yet you had so much hate for her.
Jill smiled, “Now THAT is going to get views.” She looked at you. “See with you the world just heard about what happened but with us…They're gonna see it. It's gonna be a worldwide sensation. I mean, people gotta see this shit!” Jill chuckled. “It's not like anyone reads anymore.”
Charlie took off the glove and showed you guys a video of…Of Randy being killed. Of him on the ground backpedaling with an arrow in him. All alone in the dark.
“No please! Don't-” He got cut off choking in pain as he was stabbed repeatedly. “D-Don't hurt them…Don't hurt my kids and wife…D-D-Don't hurt YN…Please-” He pleaded with blood near his mouth before screaming in pain again as Charlie stabbed him repeatedly and the video cut off…To a close up of him hanging…Still twitching barely alive as he hung there…Guts out.
Tears welled in your eyes as your breathing got shallow. You were trembling with so much rage and mind shattering devastation. Seeing your best friend in his final moments tonight in pain begging for his life…For yours even after your argument. Even after everything he didn't hate you.
“...I'm gonna kill you…You goddamn pieces of shit…” You forced out shakily through your teeth as tears rolled down your cheeks. “I'M GONNA FUCKING KILL YOU!!” Billy and Stu had to jerk you back, Billy the least injured having you in almost a headlock before you got shot.
Jill laughed, “God, you are so dramatic! So that goody two shoes love and peace for all; is that some PR move or-” She mocked as Billy jerked you and you were trying to fight him even in ungodly pain to get to her or Charlie.
“Stop! Now!” Billy ordered in your ear. “...We'll get them…” He reassured while still holding you back as you stopped struggling and glared daggers at them both tears rolling down your face.
Charlie informed you. “Stole Robbie's Dad's crossbow. I mean that guy on Walking Dead just gave me major ideas and Robbie also…Lured Randy back to the party by recording you and Kirby. Poor kid had no idea he was helping me get Randy tonight. Jill took care of things at her house and Kirby's phone.”
You could only glare at him.
Jill told you. “We're gonna have fame you never even dreamed of.”
Charlie looked at Jill in adoration. “You were the perfect victim, Jill.”
Jill laughed like a teen girl getting away with sneaking out past curfew while Trevor bled out on the floor. “I was SO believable today, wasn't I? I mean, I told so many lies that I actually started to believe them…I really think that I was born for this.”
Stu huffed, looking tired and woozy himself. “Congratulations.” He sarcastically monotoned.
You got away from Billy as he let you go and you demanded weakly, “How could you do this?...Sidney-”
“Shut up!” Jill demanded, her smiling dropping. “Do you even know what it was like in this family being related to Sidney Prescott?! Sidney this and Sidney that and Sidney, Sidney, Sidney! She was always just SO FUCKING SPECIAL!” She screeched.  “And then you…” She pointed the knife at you. “I hated you just as much. What? You survive bad luck and get all this attention? Big house somewhere, never have to work, all these interviews and book deals because your life was hard?...You had your 15 minutes of fame NOW I WANT MINE!” She yelled.
Billy groaned as Stu tiredly mumbled to him. “Told you. Fame. You owe me 50 bucks.”
You ignored them and stared at her, shaking your head mumbling. “You'll slip. They always do.”
Jill gave a wry smirk, looking back at Billy and Stu who technically did get away with it before saying, “Come on Charlie, let's get this over with.”
Stu was losing a lot of blood and so were you as you both gripped the counters and Billy wasn't able to run. You all were pretty much sitting ducks right now.
Charlie handed Jill the knife. He started breathing puffs of air out of his mouth, bouncing on his feet as Jill told him loudly, “You've gotta be strong…And hold still! Okay?”
He nervously breathed, “Old School, like Billy and Stu.”
Billy made a face and Stu despite his condition let out a mocking laugh. Billy added over Stu's laughter, “That's right, real deep too. Don't be pussies now in front of your idols-”
Charlie closed his eyes saying “Come on, get it up-” Before slapping himself across the face multiple times.
Stu laughed silently hanging his head and leaning on the counter for support.
You stood there thinking you felt like you were in a Twilight Zone right now or a damn insane asylum from back in the day while Stu and Billy had sadistic grins on their faces eager to see some ‘fan’ that gave them injuries get stabbed.
Charlie smacked his shoulder shakily yelling at Jill, “Shoulder me, shoulder me! Come on! GET IT UP-”
You gasped with a slight satisfaction yourself when Jill plunged the knife right into his chest. Billy went from watching with interest to smirking with a dark look in his eye and Stu through his sweat and pain grinned ear to ear.
Charlie choked a gasp, holding his bleeding chest. “The heart?!- T-That's not how we rehearsed it!”
You finally spoke with an edge to your voice. “You said it. Billy and Stu…If Trevor became James. And Robbie was supposed to be Stu…”
Jill smirked to herself seeing it dawn on Charlie. She told him, “I know it's going against the script…But this is a franchise. Not a remake. And what the media loves is a sole survivor.” She whispered cruelly. “Robbie was your partner. Both of you jealous little outcasts but you…You were the idea man.”
She plunged the knife in again as Charlie gasped harshly falling to his knees. Hyperventilating as he bled. Shock written all over his face before collapsing in a pathetic heap on the ground.
You didn't care if it made you a monster too…There was some satisfaction. Especially when you remembered what he showed you on that phone. “You'll never be Randy, Charlie.” Was the last thing you said as Stu almost gave a little hollar of glee and Billy chuckled under his breath watching Charlie be betrayed and now only seconds from dying.
You glanced at Jill holding your stomach and like Stu things were getting blurry for you. “So…You killed all your friends…Now what?” You asked the bigger picture of what happens when all this is said and done.
Jill glared at you. “My Friends?”
She walked up to you and Billy and Stu tensed up a bit. It was 3 against 1. 2 grown men, a grown woman and one teen girl…Problem was 1 grown man looked ready to pass out, the grown woman wasn't far behind him, the other grown man had a fucked up leg now that couldn't move as fast and the little teen bitch from hell still had the gun.
“What world are you living in? I don't need friends, I need fans ….DON'T YOU GET IT!?” She snapped at you. “This has never been about killing you…This is about becoming you. I mean for fucksake all my friends and boyfriend had to die.”
“And your mother?” You asked, trying to be brave but staring crazy in the face again after so long…Worked on your mind.
“Collateral damage.” She mused with nothing in her dark eyes…Just nothing. “That's sick right? Well, sick is the new sane.” She whispered with a small smile eyeing you.
Even Billy and Stu didn't kill their own parents.
“You had your 15 minutes now I WANT MINE!” She yelled in your face. “I mean, what am I supposed to do? Go to college, grad school, work? Look around. We're all in the public eye now, we're all on the internet…How do you think people become famous anymore!? You don't have to achieve ANYTHING!” She gestured to you. “You just gotta have fucked up shit happen to you.”
You stared at her in shock at her logic of wanting to be you. To have your life. To want to be the victim, to want to have people whisper about you or treat you horribly or treat you like glass. To have a target on your back forever.
All of this…ALL of this pain…Because some brat wanted attention and to get by easy in life?
Billy and Stu looked just as bewildered as you. Stu finally gave a humorously dry chuckle while trying to breathe, still holding his wounds. “I mean…Okay idea but-”
She instantly shot him.
You froze as Stu got shot somewhere in the abdomen and went flying back. Billy went to lunge at Jill and got shot as well. He growled in pain and hit the counter. Wincing and slipping on his bloody palms trying to keep himself up. Stu laid limply and you tried not to hyperventilate at how messed up this was becoming because of one damn girl. Stu groaned on the ground coughing as he weakly held himself.
Jill laughed, “I WAS going to kill you all and blame Charlie and Trevor or Charlie and Robbie but now?...No…I think it doesn't matter if these two idiots live. Great! Because no one will question it. NO ONE. Billy Loomis and Stu Macher survived? They clearly did this and almost killed a poor innocent girl after slaughtering her friends.”
You shook your head with fearful tears in your eyes. Billy glared daggers at her sneering, “You dumb little fuck…You think I'm going down after 15 years?!” He grabbed a kitchen knife and took the risk of throwing it.
It went right into the arm that held the gun as she screamed and he instantly with his adrenaline pumping tried to grab it…You went for it too this time to help him instead of the other few times.
You gasped as a sharp painful cry escaped him…Jill stabbed him in the abdomen and jerked sideways.
“Billy!-” You went to attack her too, hoping for an opening. ANYTHING! You were gonna die and-
She jerked the knife out of her arm with an almost enraged scream and stabbed you when you least expected it. She made it look like you had an opening to grab that gun and maybe you did? But her determination was just that much stronger.
She plunged the knife deep into you as you saw Billy had tried to get up multiple times and kept slipping while trying to hold his own wound close and slumped down gasping for air…Stu wasn't moving from what you could see…And you just got stabbed again. Deep. Blood spurted over your hand. This felt higher than before.
“Sorry, there's only room for one final girl and let's face it…Your time's up.” She looked so pleased with herself. So giddy as you collapsed onto your stomach.
You laid there trembling, barely breathing with your eyes wide open in fear. You heard footsteps seeing Jill walking away.
Billy looked just as bad but your eyes locked with each other on the kitchen floor. “B-B-Bill-” You couldn't even get his name out.
He shhed you. Cringing and as quietly as he could gritted his teeth to drag himself over to you as Jill started going ahead and hurting herself…Absolutely trying to kill herself by stabbing you hitting her head on a glass picture frame while yelling in pain. Trying to make it all look like she was brutally attacked.
Billy shhed you again when tears started falling from your eyes…After so long of being numb…You didn't wanna die.
“I'm…I'm scared…Billy-” You just admitted it. Trembling like a scared child while bleeding out on the ground. Things were getting harder to focus on as he laid next to you on his back to keep his guts from pressing against the gash.
You never thought you'd ever give him the satisfaction. Not at that shed, not in your house, not in the closet, Stu's house, Windsor, the motel- Never thought you'd give him the satisfaction of admitting you were scared of dying but you were.
Your hand trembled uncontrollably and he shhed you again. Weakly telling you, “Hey…Shh…It's alright…Don't cry, she'll hear you. If she stabs us in the head or throat or heart we're done, kid.”
You shook your head trying not to sob as your head felt like you were gonna faint.
“You're tough. Okay?...You can do this…You've always been a tough bitch to beat…I should know…Don't let that brat win. Don't let me or Stu win either…” He told you with heavy tired eyes. His head lolling to the side to gaze at you. Both of you held eye contact before he reached out and so did you.
“Billy…I-...I never meant…I always wanted-” You knew what you wanted to say but…Getting it out.
He stopped you with another soft shh and held your hand. He held it tight. His own fear of dying present but his urge to put on a brave face for his ego…For you too; was stronger. It's like he knew what you meant and he released a soft breath of air as if a giant weight was off his shoulders.
“Mine…” He mumbled with a small tired smile. “You've always been mine…” And then his eyes just…Closed.
Mark entered your mind and you couldn't control the small whimper as you trembled Jill crashing into things in the background.
“...Billy?” You whispered. Trying to move but couldn't as you held his hand so tight it hurt. “Billy, wake up. Please…” You whimpered as you were so tired…So so tired.
The last thing you saw was black…And glass shattering as Jill threw herself on the coffee table…And then sirens outside.

One kiss means hello. Two kisses mean goodbye. Three kisses mean I love you.
What does it mean when there are too many kisses to count?
1 – Neck
You’ve never seen Melissa happier than in the kitchen, aggressively stirring a sauce that makes your mouth water almost as much as she does. She’s a vision; wooden spoon in hand as she sways, humming absently, hair pulled up high on her head.
It’s hard to keep your hands to yourself. Her hips move as she dances around the kitchen in a haze of fresh garlic and red lipstick. But Melissa has one rule if you’re going to be in the kitchen with her; No touching.
She never did specify whether that meant her or the food.
It’s easy to take your chances when she’s in a pleasant mood. It’s easy to sneak from your chair across the kitchen and into her space, wrapping yourself around her middle and taking in the way she feels in your arms. The easiest is when she spins you and you’re backed against the counter, red lipstick marking Melissa’s path down your neck.
2 – Cheek
“Are you coming to bed?”
You rub your eyes from your place against the headboard. The lamp on the desk illuminates her silhouette; her sculpted shoulders and beautiful curls. There’s faint scratching coming from her direction and her arm is moving, red ink marking the papers she shuffles through.
Melissa doesn’t turn around. She’s too focused, intent on the goal she’s set for herself—though you’re not sure what that goal is exactly.
“Soon, honey.” She responds.
Soon is Melissa’s way of saying ‘not soon at all.’ You begrudgingly remove your blankets and patter across the room. Looking over her shoulder, you read quick, sweet notes on graded homework. The most recent child doesn’t seem to have done very much, but Melissa’s little note in the corner is still encouraging.
A few of the better scoring kids get stickers. There’s a smiling strawberry you’d have killed to receive when you were in school and you’re almost jealous, even now.
You lay your hands carefully on her shoulders and lean in, leaving a sweet, lingering kiss on her cheek.
“Come to bed soon, sweetheart.”
3 – Forehead
When you use the key to let yourself in, you’re surprised by the silence.
Melissa’s house is many things, but quiet isn’t one of them. There’s always something simmering and popping on the stove, or a timer going off, or a smooth record playing from the living room. None of that greets you now.
You quietly set your things down by the front door and kick your shoes off. Her beat-up sedan was in the driveway, so you know she’s here—it’s just a question of where.
Checking the kitchen first, you find it empty. There’s a fork in the sink that you don’t remember from this morning. It’s a good sign. If she’s eating something, she’s not in trouble, just having a rough day; in which case, you know exactly where she is.
A trail of clothing from the bedroom door to the master bathroom leads the way. The quiet unnerves you a bit, but here it’s interrupted by the sounds of moving water. You breathe a little easier now that you know she’s here in the house.
Peering into the bathroom, you melt, “Rough day?”
Melissa is lying in the bath, hair pulled up, with a full wine glass on the floor next to her. There’s no spark in her eyes when she looks up. It twists your heart, bringing you to your knees on the mat next to the tub. You run your fingers through the bubbles on top of the water.
“You have no idea.” Melissa says, sounding beyond exhausted.
“What can I do?”
She looks almost shy when she looks up through her lashes, hesitant, “I wouldn’t complain if you made dinner tonight.”
You ache to lean over and kiss her lips, but kneeling on the hard floor is tearing up your knees. Struggling back to your feet, you do lean over and kiss her forehead. Melissa’s eyes flutter shut.
“You relax,” You murmur against her skin, “I’ll take care of you.”
4 – Lips
A hand grabs your waist and you spin with a smile on your face, surprised to find yourself face-to-face with a man you definitely don't know. You stop moving. His grin is wide and he looks you over like he wants to devour you.
“What’s a woman like you dancing alone for?” He asks.
“I’m not.” You frown.
Around you, your friends and Melissa’s pause, watching the scene cautiously. In the few moments Melissa had taken to go grab a drink you managed to attract unwanted attention. You seem to be a magnet for it anymore; just last month something similar had happened when you took Melissa out to dinner.
Catching a familiar flash of red hair in your peripheral vision, you relax slightly. It unfortunately eggs the man holding you on.
“You don’t have to play hard to get with me, baby.”
You offer a tense smile, eyes full of disgust.
“You see the redhead over at the bar?” You ask, nodding your head in the direction of where Melissa is propped against the bar, beer in hand, watching with cold interest, “That’s my partner. She’s not exactly a fan of others touching me, least of all strange men.”
Where anyone would see Melissa and recognize the threat in her stance and back off, he’s not smart enough to read body language. And since there’s no recognition of who your girlfriend is in this part of town, you guess he isn’t a local.
He takes Melissa’s demeanor and your words as a challenge. You’re relieved when he lets go of you, but then he’s puffing his chest out, and glaring over at where she stands.
“Don’t worry. I’ll handle this.” He says.
“You really shouldn’t,” You advise, but he’s already sauntering over in her direction. When she sets down her beer and stands up to be eye-level with him, you wince, “Fuck.”
You’re not sure what he says—you don’t care to, honestly—but it’s enough to suitably piss Melissa off. She offers up a cold, painfully fake grin, before reeling back and punching him square in the throat. He drops like a sack of potatoes.
A few people look over their shoulders, but look away just as quickly as they realize who punched him. He lays on the ground wheezing and coughing. No one moves to help him. They get back into their games, drinks, or dancing without thinking twice about it. You try not to laugh.
He hauls himself back to his feet, voice hoarse, “Is nobody going to do anything?!” He shouts.
No one does.
You’re smirking at him from the middle of the dancefloor. The man looks around helplessly before grabbing his things, storming out in a huff.
Someone at the bar says something to Melissa. She nods, laughing, and tips back the rest of her beer. You raise a brow when she meets your gaze. Motioning to all of the couples dancing around you, you give her a look. She pushes off the bar.
“What a show.” You comment when she’s in range.
Melissa scoffs, “Someone had to teach him some manners, honey.”
“If you say so. All I know,” You pause. Her arms are back around you, swaying you to the music, “is that it was very attractive.”
Her pink-painted lips pull into a smirk. She leans forward and captures yours in a slow kiss. If you didn’t know any better, you’d think she was trying to send a message, but you watched the nameless man stomp out of the bar already.
5 — Hand
You’re picking up and turning over the tomatoes, checking for any bruising or other marks, when Melissa kisses the back of your hand. Tomatoes forgotten, you turn. Her eyes are soft as she places another kiss in the exact same spot.
You tilt your head, asking fondly, “What was that for?”
“You’re beautiful when you’re picking out fresh produce, that’s all.”
Her smile is uncharacteristically soft. You know there is something she isn’t saying, but you won’t push, not when you’re enjoying the way she’s looking at you. It makes something in your chest melt.
“Just when I’m picking out fresh produce?”
6 — Temple
It’s always a surprise when you see her during the work day. Sometimes it’s passing each other on the way into work or like now, when you walk into the Cheesesteak spot on your lunch break, and she’s there with Barbara—and Janine, occasionally—in tow.
You’re on your way out and have less than five minutes to get back to your classroom at Addington. She’s walking in, laughing with Barbara while the other woman shakes her head. Both of them look surprised to see you.
“Hey, Barbara,” You smile, nodding, then look at your partner, “Hey, stranger.”
“Hey, hon.” Melissa smiles.
Checking your watch, you wince. Four minutes left. You give Melissa a quick kiss, just a ghosting of your lips over her temple, and then you’re out the door.
“See you at home!” You throw behind you.
The only answer is Barbara’s chuckle and her barely-concealed mumble of girl, you’ve got it bad to Melissa. It keeps a smile on your face the whole way back to Addington.
7 — …
“Don’t you dare stop.”
Melissa hums from between your legs. The vibrations make you moan out as your back arches, every muscle in your body taut as you’re thrown headfirst into overwhelming pleasure. Your hands are fisted in the sheets, nails digging into your palms even through the fabric.
When you come down from the high, you drop down, panting. You can’t even muster the strength to open your eyes. It feels like it’s been hours.
The bed creaks as Melissa shifts and moves to lay down next to you. You wrap yourself up in her, cracking your eyes only to find her lips, pulling her in and kissing her breathless. The taste of yourself on her makes you moan.
Your kiss provokes something and her hand starts ghosting over parts of your body, pinching and squeezing at your flesh. It takes your breath away. You ache even though reasonably you should be more than content with the orgasm she just gave you.
“Mel—” You start, but her pretty pink lips latch onto your neck, and the rest of her name becomes a strangled sound.
“I can’t get enough of you,” Melissa says into your ear between kisses, “You’re so addicting like this.”
A million clever little statements hang off your tongue, but the mere feel of her drives them from your mind. She’s driving away any sense of yourself the longer this goes on and you’re powerless to stop her. You don’t want to stop her.
Instead of saying something clever, you just moan.

Abbott Elementary - Having a baby with Melissa Schemmenti (Headcanon) - Part Two
Melissa Schemmenti/Female Reader
Classification: Fluff
Warnings: None
Word count: +1800
Part One | Part Two
Tumblr media
- The baby didn't have a name picked out until the birth, when Melissa looked at him she knew exactly which name from the big list you were going to choose. A name of Italian origin, simple, strong, beautiful and with a meaning to match, bringer of light. Suitable for your little human being who brought light into your lives, along with happiness and love. Luca Schemmenti;
- Luca was born with 6.2 pounds, 19 inches and completely healthy for a premature baby, perfect reflexes, intelligent, communicative and very bossy, gave work for the nurses, after two days in the hospital he was liberated to the relief of the new moms;
- Unlike what one might think, your wife prefers that you have no visitors in the hospital except Barb and the immediate family, considering it a very delicate and intimate moment to share. She also took hundreds of pictures, most of which were placed in a dedicated photo album to record each stage of the baby's development. There is a whole page especially for the first photo of you three together. In a few months your house will be full of framed photos of Luca;
- This woman would literally kill for her family, rest assured she will act like a 100% lion mother and devoted wife, you will both be in good hands. She will make sure you are all well and happy so there will be fresh meals, clean clothes, she will do the housework and help in every way, Melissa is a naturally protective person and her main love language is acts of service;
- Barbara was the best friend you could have in the first days of your child's life, as an experienced mother she has a vast knowledge of newborn care and basically teaches you everything you need to know, from the essentials to little tips that make everyday life easier;
- Luca is a bossy little boy, his needs have to be met quickly otherwise he will spend the rest of the day in a bad mood, sometimes he can be impatient, moody and have some attitude, even as a newborn, no surprise considering he is the son of the one and only Melissa Schemmenti. Like mother, like son;
- She hates being called by affectionate nicknames in public, but loves to give it to those she loves, Barb is one of the exceptions, you have several affectionate names and your son is no different, Melissa likes to call him by the affectionate Italian nicknames she gave the boy during your pregnancy (Tesoro, Amore mio, sometimes Bambino) and LuLu, her little LuLu. The teacher thinks it's cute and he seems to like being called that, especially if the redhead uses a baby voice, Luca always cracks a dimpled smile when he hears her;
- She is the best partner of all, Mel gets two weeks off to stay with you and give all the necessary support to take care of the baby, when your son cries she is the first one beside the crib, she changes most of the diapers, loves to give baths, talk and sing until he falls asleep, but her favorite things are cooking with Luca by her side in the stroller and choosing his clothes for the day, when you were pregnant she may or may not have bought an absurd amount of cute clothes and loves to dress him like a prince. Melissa feels the separation from this routine too much when she has to go back to work, secretly crying in the car on the way to school after dropping you both at home;
- The first month away is emotionally exhausting for the teacher, while at work all she can think about is how you two must be, you start doing video calls every break, lunch is the most torturous time because it's her favorite family time, she loved watching LuLu while making sure you eat well with homemade and healthy food. These calls calmed her heart and helped kill the longing, but nothing beats the feeling of coming home, finding her wife and son waiting with a smile and a warm hug to make the day better;
- It's cliché, but Melissa has pictures of Luca in the wallet, secretly waiting for someone to ask so she can show them all, then her phone gallery filled with pictures she's taken of the boy. The photo of him wearing the Eagles bodysuit is her phone's lock screen, the main screen is Luca lying on your lap being cradled in the nursery, she can spend the day staring at these two specific photos;
- The baby's nursery is decorated little by little, you were undecided about the theme, she painted the walls at least three times before the birth, choosing to keep it in yellow. Gradually the room has gained identity as Luca grows, when he shows interest in animals you start buying stuffed animals that he is obsessed with, suddenly there is a cute jungle-themed wallpaper, green blankets, themed decorations and a giraffe next to the nursing armchair that he likes to look at while falling asleep;
- If you feel very insecure about your body postpartum Melissa tries to assure you in every way that you are beautiful, always praising your body, kissing every stretch mark and that she loves each part of you. Thanking you for giving her a son, pointing out that they are memories of LuLu's home, where you welcomed and cared for him, and how you brought your baby into the world;
- In a few months you slowly return to work, coming to an agreement to teach part time so you can dedicate the rest of the day to your son, before you could even think about enrolling the baby in daycare most of the Schemmenti family offered to care for him during your hours, despite initial reluctance you left Luca with Melissa's parents, they simply love spoiling their grandson, this is a temporary option until you feel Luca is ready for daycare. Mel wouldn't mind if you preferred to be a housewife, the years of work have earned her a reasonable salary and we know that woman probably has many side businesses, the teacher always finds a way, so you staying at home is a possible option and she secretly likes this possibility;
- LuLu's six months arrive quickly and you face a dilemma, to continue breastfeeding the baby or not, the exclusive feeding of breast milk has been followed to the letter and this woman has been anxiously waiting for the time of introducing food. Melissa is that emotional support for both of you in this process, helping and respecting the time;
- The process of weaning becomes easier when your wife introduces other foods to him; at the beginning it's fruit, mashed potatoes and light meals, but when Luca's teeth start to grow Melissa can't resist giving him pasta, which quickly becomes his favorite food. Not surprisingly the boy begins to gain weight, turning into that baby of her imagination, with chubby cheeks, hands and feet, he is simply adorable and has indeed inherited Schemmenti's appetite;
- She is very worried at any cry different from him, a mom who suffers along with the baby and spends sleepless nights worried that something will happen. She has worked for years with little children, but they know how to communicate and say what hurts, so seeing your child suffer without knowing what it is and how to help makes her feel powerless, distressed. The teething moment was a nightmare, because besides Luca feeling a lot of pain he also became irritable, her co-workers were worried and then tried not to laugh when Melissa shows up one morning in a miserable condition and with the mark of two teeth on her hand;
- He is such a smart and precocious child, however you didn't expect Luca to talk before the first year of life, but one night while Melissa is preparing dinner with the baby in the feeding chair, he calls out to her by "Mel" trying to reach for the meal. The redhead brakes, not believing what she has just heard because your son is only 10 months old and has called her what you lovingly refer to her, letter by letter, waiting for an answer. Right away she cries out in tears for you to witness the boy repeat it several times until he gets some Penne Pomodoro. Melissa is sure to brag about it to everyone for weeks, teaching him new words and recording everything to watch like a fool over and over again, a month later she cries when he officially starts calling her Mama Mel;
- They are an inseparable pair, LuLu loves to sit on his mother's lap (usually playing with her necklaces), she takes him to Eagles games, he likes to sleep between you, share a plate with her and can be very jealous, he is that typical baby who doesn't like his parents kissing because he is jealous of one. You only realize this when he pushed you away from the redhead when you went to kiss her goodbye and made a funny face, which was supposed to be angry;
- Luca isn't just jealous of his mother, he's jealous of Barb too, you would easily be exchanged for the teacher since he is completely obsessed with that woman. She is his favorite person in the whole world. The little olive eyes light up when she shows up at Friday dinners, you have started this couples tradition and LuLu wants to spend the whole night on her lap, admiring and trying to communicate;
- And Barb is the first option to leave him when Melissa wants to take you out to dinner or do something different, followed by her parents, you have a good support network in this journey of motherhood, even the work team is there for you when necessary. She never imagined that one day she would have a baby and all these scenarios, feeling the love and support of the family is something priceless;
- A year after the arrival of the little bundle of joy you manage to settle into a peaceful routine after going through all the rough patches and first times in a first trip motherhood, your heart overflowing with happiness to see your prince so big, smart and healthy. Melissa insists on having a birthday party with everyone at home and thank god you recorded every moment, because this way you recorded Luca's first steps as he walks towards you to get the balloon shaped like One in the redhead's hand. It's another video that she would watch on a loop without getting tired. She picks him up in her lap and distributes kisses all over LuLu's chubby little face, then turns to you giving a gentle kiss on the lips, whispering thanks for that wonderful little being you brought into the world for her.
"You know, we could give LuLu a little brother or sister, I like the name Olivia.... Damn, Y/N! Just one of these doesn't seem enough."

Nikolai: Nobody died.
Melissa: WHAT KIND OF ANSWER IS THAT?!
—~—
Nick Fury: I know you snuck out last night, Marlene.
Melissa: Play dumb!
Marlene: Who's Marlene?
Melissa: NOT THAT DUMB!!!
—~~—
Nikolai: Are you sure this is the right direction?
Marlene: Certainly, I'm as sure as I am honest!
Amelia: In that case, we're definitely lost.
Melissa: Well shit!
—~~—
Nikolai: You're the love of my life and my best friend, I would do anything for you.
Amelia: I want you to eat three meals a day and have a decent sleep schedule.
Nikolai: Absolutely not.
—~~—
Melissa: Man, I only ever see you awake, do you ever shut down or stop running?
Marlene: Oh, I’m always running!
Melissa: The question is from what.
—~~—
Maria Hill: You know those things will kill you, right?
Nikolai, pouring another glass of whiskey: That’s the point.
Marlene, smoking a cigarette: We’re trying to speed up the process.
Melissa: *Nods while eating raw cookie dough*
—~~—
Nick Fury: I think we're missing something.
Amelia: Teamwork?
Melissa: Cohesion?
Marlene: Research?
Nikolai: A general sense of what we’re doing?
—~~—
Amelia: I’ve done a lot of dumb stuff.
Marlene: I witnessed the dumb stuff.
Nikolai: I recorded the dumb stuff.
Melissa: I joined in on the dumb stuff.
Coulson: I TRIED TO STOP YOU FROM DOING THE DUMB STUFF!!!
—~~—
Coulson: Anyone d-
Melissa: Depressed?
Nikolai: Drained?
Amelia: Dumb?
Marlene: Disliked?
Coulson: -done with their work... what is wrong with you people ...
—~~—
Marlene: Good morning.
Nikolai: Good morning.
Melissa: Good morning.
Amelia: You all sound like robots, try spicing it up a bit.
Nick Fury: MORNING MOTHERFUCKERS!!
Amelia: Just like that!

40 Minutes Of Mayhem: The Fiery Riot That Killed A Cultural Movement Forever
Tumblr media
Melissa Sartore
Updated April 22, 2024
On July 12, 1979, the term "disco inferno" took on a whole new meaning. As the "disco '70s" drew to a close, Chicago radio DJ Steve Dahl decided to speed up the process by promoting a Demolition Disco Night in between games at a White Sox double-header at Comiskey Park. He invited the listeners of his popular radio show to come out to the game and set some records on fire, and tens of thousands showed up to burn a farewell to disco.
But during the event, things got seriously out of hand; after a sluggish baseball season, the stadium hadn't seen crowds like this for quite some time. Riots, crazed fans, and crowd rushes can notoriously break out quickly at sporting events, and Comiskey Park Disco Demolition Night was a prime example of this. By the end of the night, disco records were in flames, fans were looting the stadium, and the White Sox had to forfeit their second game. Disco itself never quite recovered.
Tumblr media
Steve Dahl Hated Disco And Wasn't Shy About Saying It
In 1979, Steve Dahl got fired from a Chicago radio station that changed from rock to all-disco. He wasn't very happy about this, since he was a rock-heavy DJ, but he got a job DJing at WLUP. Bitter about his loss, Dahl found an anti-disco cohort in new colleague/DJ Garry Meier, and the pair found an enthusiastic audience for fellow disco-haters. Together, they kicked off an idea for a public disco demolition event.
Tumblr media
The White Sox Approached Dahl About Bringing His Pyro Party To The Stadium
The White Sox were slated to play the Detroit Tigers on July 12, a make-up double-header from games that had been rained out earlier in the season. The team already had a promotion on the books, one geared to toward teenagers. When Mike Veeck, son of White Sox owner Bill Veeck and White Sox promotions promoter got wind of a radio DJ blowing up disco records, he contacted the radio station to see if he would do it at the stadium.
The White Sox were struggling and attendance was down, so Veeck and Jeff Schwartz, WLUP sales manager, met to discuss the possibility of an event. Dahl had already mentioned he would be blowing up records at a local mall, so Veeck simply suggested Dahl relocate to the stadium.
Tumblr media
Dahl's Disco-Hating Fans Were Known As The Insane Coho Lips
In his campaign against disco, Dahl and his co-host, Garry Meier, created an army called the Insane Coho Lips. These were their devoted listeners and disco-hating followers and the ones the DJs invited to show up at Comiskey Park on July 12. Cohos, as they were known, claimed disco music represented elitism and consisted of purely vapid sounds. They alleged rock stars like Rod Stewart had sold out and shifted to more disco-oriented songs with tunes like "Do Ya Think I'm Sexy?" ruining music in the process.
At Dahl's behest, the Cohos descended upon Comiskey Park to bring disco down. They hung up "Disco sucks!" banners, and drank a lot of beer, ready to protest against the enemy.
Tumblr media
It Took Some Convincing To Get Dahl To Host The Event At Comiskey Park
Dahl wanted to blow up records but the thought of bringing a few thousand vinyls to Comiskey Park didn't seem very appealing. At the time, the White Sox were only averaging about 18,000 fans per game and an extra 5,000 wouldn't fill enough seats to make the event look like much of a success, in Dahl's opinion.
Tumblr media
Disco Demolition Night Had An Admission Charge Of $.98 And A Disco Record
Dahl's radio station, WLUP, was 97.9 on the radio dial so it was decided that Disco Demolition Night would cost $.98 for attendees, as long as they had a disco record, too. The White Sox hoped that their Teen Night promotion combined with cheap tickets, Dahl's following, and general animosity toward disco would pack in a big crowd.
Tumblr media
More Than 60,000 Fans Showed Up To The Game And Thousand More Jammed Up The Highways
The exact attendance of the game is in question - it was reported to be anywhere from 50,000 to more than 75,000 people crowded into the 52,000-seat stadium, but either way, Comiskey Park was packed with fans. Countless more tried to get into the game and some attempted to scale the wall to get in without paying. Thousands more tried to get to the stadium, tying up traffic on the Dan Ryan Expressway for hours.
Tumblr media
On The Day Of The Game, Dahl Wore A Fatigues And An Army Helmet
The first game started at 6 pm. The White Sox lost but had another chance to beat the Tigers in game two of the scheduled double header. In between games, however, disco was going to meet its destruction. A little before 9 pm, Dahl, Meier, and radio "Loop Rock Girl" Lorelei Shark drove out onto the field in a Jeep. Dahl was wearing military fatigues and a helmet in anticipation of blowing up a box of disco records that had been brought out onto the field. Dahl started chanting "Disco sucks!" and the crowd joined in, reportedly shaking the rafters.
Tumblr media
The Box Of Records Went Up In Flames And Fans Threw Records Around The Stadium
Dahl blew up the box of records and pandemonium broke out.  The explosion itself, which took place near the center field wall, blew flames 200 feet in the air according to some, only 30 feet by other accounts.  Smoke was everywhere and pieces of vinyl littered the field. As soon as the explosion took place, the crowds started to descend onto the field, still chanting "Disco sucks!"
Fans Stormed The Field, Stealing Bases, Bats, And Anything Else They Could Find
An estimated 5,000 to 7,000 fans ran onto the field at Comiskey Park in a mad rush. The fans who didn't get down to the field began throwing their disco records haphazardly in the air.  White Sox pitcher Ken Kravec, who was warming up for the second game, later said he remembered shoes and records flying by his head. On the field, the crowd started pulling up bases, looting the dugouts, digging up grass, tearing down batting cages, and lighting fires.
The Jeep carrying Dahl, Meier, and Shark made its way off of the field. They were whisked away by security and taken back to the press room to escape the chaos. Paul Natkin, a photographer for the disco demolition, recalled hanging on to the hood of the Jeep as the driver sped away trying to avoid the crowd.
Tumblr media
The Stadium Was So Damaged That The White Sox Had To Forfeit The Second Game
The damage to Comiskey Park was so severe that the second game couldn't go on. After an hour and 16 minute delay, the umpire Dave Phillips declared the field "unplayable." The White Sox had to forfeit, losing both games essentially. The forfeit on July 12, 1979 was the last one in the American League to date.
Almost 40 People Were Arrested For Destruction Of Property
Despite pleas by the game announcers to return to their seats, rioting fans continued to wreak havoc on the field. Dahl, Meier, and White Sox announcer Harry Carey all tried but nothing worked. Harry Carey hollered out "Can you hear me out there? OK! To make this an absolutely perfect evening, let's say we all regain our seats, so we can play baseball again!" and even started singing "Take Me Out To The Ballgame."
The Chicago police were called and began making arrests. Most of the crowd ran off when the cops arrive, but in the immediate aftermath of Disco Demolition Night, 39 people were arrested for destruction of property. There were only a few minor injuries.
Tumblr media
The Night Was Deemed Both A Disaster And A Triumph
With the rioting of the fans, the forfeiture of the game, and the destruction to Comiskey Park, the media decreed the disco demolition event a "mob scene." However, from the perspective of the people in the seats — and Steve Dahl himself — it was a wild success. The Veecks wanted to bring people to the Park and they did. Not everyone got in, which was another aspect of its success, but Disco Demolition Night definitely made a mark on baseball and music.
Tumblr media
Dahl Was Criticized For Being Homophobic And Racist In His Attacks On Disco
Because disco was had its origins in Latino, black, and gay communities, Dahl's actions were seen as an exercise in homophobia and racism. The disco "lifestyle" was the antithesis to rock music - white leisure suits and gold chains versus jeans and tee-shirts - and Dahl's attack was perceived as a social statement as much as a musical preference. According to Gloria Gaynor, rock n' roll promised egalitarianism... but disco actually had it. To her, "disco never got credit for being the first and only music ever to transcend all nationalities, race, creed, color, and age groups."
Dahl denies any homophobic or racist agenda and, in his own words, is "worn out from defending myself as a racist homophobe for fronting Disco Demolition."
Tumblr media
Dahl's Attack On Disco May Have Helped Kill The Whole Musical Movement
When Disco Demolition Night took place, disco was dominating the charts. Songs by Gloria Gaynor, the Bee Gees, and Donna Summer were number one hits during the first part of 1979. The Bee Gees had their last number one hit, "Love You Inside Out," on July 9th, just three days before the event. Shortly after Disco Demolition Night, there was a shift in music. By August and September 1979, New Wave hits by groups like the The Knack emerged and began to take over the airwaves. Some argue that New Wave was heavily influenced by disco while others see the attack on disco as a positive moment for the genre. In Chicago, disco continued on in underground clubs and was reworked by synthesizers, ultimately creating house music.

I'm a little nervous about posting this next character profile for the Pizza My Heart AU... because there is quite a bit of dark subject matter in it. This next profile focuses on Giovanni Monotoli.
WARNING: The following profile contains mentions of child death, spousal abuse, murder, and child abuse. Read at your own risk.
Giovanni Matzahfeld-Monotoli:
Our secondary antagonist. Melissa Monotoli's father, Giovanni is the richest and most dangerous man in the town where Peppino lives. Born under the name Joey Matzahfeld, he renamed himself after marrying his current wife, Gilda Monotoli. Giovanni was originally a blue collar worker from New York City who happened to get lucky playing the stock market and making business investments. Back then, he loved investing in small businesses because he got to watch them grow. After marrying Gilda, he met her brother, the infamous Geldegarde Monotoli, and even got a peek at his Mani Mani statue... an event that forever changed Giovanni. The Mani Mani statue awakened the evils in Giovanni's heart, and his formerly kind persona evaporated like water in the desert.
Since then, Giovanni became obsessed with wealth and power, flaunting it every chance he got and becoming incredibly narcissistic. He no longer invested in small businesses, calling every small business owner he met “a small fry” he was too good to deal with. He softened up temporarily when Gilda gave birth to twin girls, Melissa and Lena Monotoli. However, when Lena tragically passed away from SIDS, Giovanni's dark side took over once more. He angrily blamed Gilda for Lena's death. Gilda was FURIOUS, threatening to divorce Giovanni and take all his money. However, Giovanni threatened her back, saying if she tried that, he would make their divorce court case a media circus, and her life a living hell. So, Gilda stayed married to a man she hated, avoiding him as much as humanly possible.
Giovanni was particularly devastated by Lena's death because, in order to have his daughters, he had to turn to Pizzamancer for help at the time, as he had fertility issues, and nothing else was working. Pizzamancer made a fertility pizza for Giovanni to eat, and that's how Giovanni was able to get Gilda pregnant. Knowing he almost had two beautiful baby daughters, only to lose one, devastated him. After that tragedy, Giovanni refers to Melissa as his “most valuable treasure”. Despite this, he was not a good father to Melissa. Because Melissa was a bit spoiled by her mother as a child, she was often very defiant towards Giovanni. Giovanni would respond by disciplining Melissa... but he always went too far, yelling and screaming at her, cursing at her, and even hitting her. The worst part is that he kept this hidden from Gilda. Melissa could do nothing except cry, afraid to tell her mother what was happening for fear of making her situation worse.
Giovanni was previously the biggest investor in Pizza Boy's Pizz-Pizza. During that time, Totino the Pizza Boy often visited Melissa at the Monotoli mansion for playdates. There, Totino witnessed how Giovanni treated Melissa, but did not interfere since... well, he wasn't any older than Melissa herself, and Giovanni scared him. All he could do was comfort Melissa when she cried...
When Melissa nearly died at her eighth birthday party, it scared Giovanni half-to-death. It also infuriated him to the point where he tracked down the then-current CEOs of Pizza Boy's Pizz-Pizza and murdered them in cold blood. He managed to get away with it because the police failed to find any evidence connecting him to the crime. Apparently, the only way they were able to identify the bodies was through their dental records. Guardianship of Totino the Pizza Boy was given to Pizzamancer after that. It wouldn't be until many years later that Pizzahead figured out who killed his three parents. Needless to say, he isn't happy with Giovanni, and is still trying to plot the perfect revenge scheme.
Peppino also isn't fond of Giovanni. When Melissa told her father that she was dating Peppino, he laughed hysterically, thinking Melissa was telling a joke. When she clarified that she wasn't joking, Giovanni immediately disapproved of her dating “a small fry”, telling her she could do better than “a crappy pizza chef with a failing restaurant and a bad mustache”. Peppino nearly throws hands with Giovanni, but Melissa, knowing how dangerous her father is, warns him not to. While Peppino can't exactly die, he CAN get hurt, and of course Melissa doesn't want that. So, Peppino just fumes while Giovanni insults him, trying to figure out a way to humble his pompous ass once and for all so that he can date – and eventually marry – Melissa without any problems.
(I apologize if this is too dark for some people and I will gladly lighten things up if y'all want me to.)

Don't Let me Go
PART 2
Pairing: Melissa Barrera x Jenna Ortega
Content Warning: Dubcon, Toxic Melissa, Death threats, Abuse, G!P Melissa
Requested by: @screamqueen10
Summary: Melissa is toxic to Jenna and only wants her so when she finds out she has a kissing scene with Emma, she goes on set and decides to use her after the scene to show Jenna that they were each other's, no one else's.
Tumblr media
It had been a few months since Melissa had started dating Jenna, and it was starting to get toxic. Melissa was controlling her even, but no one knew, not even her friends. Jenna was going to keep it secret as she knew that Melissa had her nudes and would send them if she said anything. Hell, she even threatened to kill Jenna if she did and she would get away with it. Jenna didn’t question that as she was scared for her life. At this point, she was walking on eggshells everywhere. At home, on set, hell even at reward ceremonies. She also had to keep their relationship private except to her friends.
Melissa was on the Wednesday set that day with Jenna for one reason… she knew it was the kissing scene that day and it was with Emma which she did not like at all. That’s why she decided to go on the set that day, especially since she didn’t have anything to shoot that day. She was leaning back in a seat, listening to music as she made the excuse she just wanted to watch Jenna and listen to music. Everybody on set understood that and let Melissa be. Meanwhile, Jenna was shooting the scene as she was looking confident, inside though she was dying.
That’s when the kiss happened, and Melissa saw red. She was watching and gave a look at Jenna before she did a Morse code to her. ‘Bathroom in 10 minutes’. She then stood up and went to the bathroom as she was going to wait for her in a stall… then corner her as she enters. She knew not many people went to the bathroom while they had scenes to record after all. She waited around 11 minutes before Jenna entered. Melissa quickly walked out of the stall and pinned the shorter Latina against the wall. “You are late,” Melissa growled out.
“B-by one minute,” Jenna stuttered out, her heart beating rapidly. She knew she was fucked, literally and metaphorically.
“Exactly, still late. Now, what is Emma to you?” Melissa demanded. “She is just a friend, I promise. I love you too much to leave,” Jenna whimpered as she felt Melissa press against her and felt her erection. “Good. Take off your jeans and underwear, sit on the counter and spread your legs for me baby girl,” Melissa commanded ever so sweetly. Jenna nodded as she quickly tugged off the jeans and her underwear. She knew there would be no foreplay which made her scared because she wasn’t exactly wet.
Just as she predicted, there was no foreplay and Melissa just entered her when she did strip down. Jenna let out a cry of pain but Melissa just grabbed her head and kissed her roughly as she was thrusting into her hard and rough. Soon enough the moans of pain turned into pleasure and Jenna hated that as she was hiding her face in Melissa’s neck, starting to enjoy it as she was scratching at her shirt. “Fuck,” Jenna groaned out louder as her G-spot was being hit. Melissa smirked as she was soon marking Jenna’s neck, not caring if they would get in trouble. Jenna was panting as she was soon getting close. “May I cum please Daddy?” she moaned out loud. Melissa smirked. “You may but I am going to continue ploughing into you until you are begging me to stop,” Melissa growled out. Jenna nodded as she came, gripping harder while Melissa was thrusting into that spot, wanting to overwhelm her. She also wanted everyone to know what was happening. She was soon cumming inside but still kept going. Jenna was glad she was on birth control at least.
Eventually, Jenna was getting tired. “Daddy, please stop, please. Too sensitive,” Jenna cried out as she held onto Melissa. Melissa smirked as she kept going, knowing they’d been in there about 15 minutes now. “You’re improving. Let me cum one more time,” she growled out before she was biting into Jenna’s neck, Jenna cumming at the same time as Melissa. Melissa soon pulled out just as Emma came in. She was wide-eyed once she saw the scene before going into the stall. “Let’s get you dressed now baby girl then you can continue shooting,” Melissa spoke, acting sweet. Jenna nodded. “Yes… baby,” she spoke.
“Such a whore,” Melissa whispered out degradingly, not knowing that Emma heard her as she walked out with Jenna. Emma would help Jenna, she just didn’t know how.

other thoughts about the field where i died: the acting is incredible.
kristen cloke’s voice work?? just blows me away every time.
scully giving the exact right answer to mulder's question, and then throwing in some humor — which is what he does.
mulder not really wanting to believe in fate, presenting to melissa as choice, trying to convince her it is real when she doesn’t believe, melissa saying the infamous “i want to believe”
melissa wanting to “end this pointless life” — “if it’s true, no life is pointless” but she goes with ephysian & ends this life.
he didn’t know this woman, but she’s someone else he couldn’t save. (but you can’t save everyone and you can’t save someone who doesn’t want to be saved)
the implication at the end that ephysian was aware of melissa’s other personalities. her tears, her fear.
they’re too late and he finds melissa holding the picture.
i love that the entire episode scully is right there with them. during the raid, she’s ordering the men around and she notices quickly mulder is going off & not following the plan based on their intelligence. she doesn’t understand and he isn’t explaining but she follows him and then they hear melissa’s voice and stop them drinking the kool-aid.
scully stays a voice of reason for him “you didn’t even have the courage to tell skinner what you really believe” and “you’re only responsible to yourself mulder” and ‘why is ephysian a sociopath for believing he was in greece hundreds of years ago but you’re not when you believe you died in that field’ and scully is present for his regression & she goes through records to see if there’s proof, which she finds and hands over to him.
and ‘i wouldn’t change a day…except that fluke man thing’ IT’S BEAUTIFUL. scully isn’t front & center, it’s mulder centric. but she’s powerful & in control, she’s the one who finds something tangible he can cling to & use when he talks to melissa.
(and the way she tries to stop him putting melissa through the pain of a regression. she wasn’t sure melissa’s multiple personalities was real, but she acted as though it was. scully was so gentle with her, as melissa & lily and it fucking kills me every time. dana scully is one of the kindest, gentlest & most compassionate characters. as is her partner, and that’s one of the reasons their partnership works.)

Chris/Melissa + being intimidated by the strength of their own feelings
Usual post-6B sandbox, PG-ish, also on ao3.
Oh not again.
Melissa is well aware of her track record with relationships and her taste in men, which is to say that in the grand scheme of things the whole ex-husband incident is more notable for how long it took her to get out than any of the behavioral issues she spent close to ten years trying to ignore and everything since that, well…
At least she never makes the same mistake twice. At least however this one ends badly will be a fun new adventure until-
At least this time the red flags are more subtle than usual.
Melissa has a type, at this point in her forties, and Melissa knew damn well this was going to happen from about the moment she laid eyes on that man three years ago, she’d just… thought it would be an affair, at that point, and something that would make things complicated for everyone in her life, and not-
Let’s just say supernatural coparenting was not the expected turn of events. She’s still dealing with that life development, and the whole developing emotions about someone who’s along for the ride with her due to what she assumes is primarily a lot of guilt thing…
Her instinct is to avoid entirely, and she tries, and she fails.
It’s one of those midwinter midweek evenings, about a year after this started happening, about a year after it felt normal to have someone in her age bracket and not desperately needing her attention around on a regular basis and she’s not really sure how that clicked so quickly, and… they could stay like this forever, she thinks, pretend those few kisses never happened or blame that on adrenaline or something, and she could keep a crush to herself, and-
“What are you not telling me?”
Or she could forget that she has a potential partner who’s decent at reading body language and this isn’t going to be as easy as she wants. Dammit.
Melissa is still tempted to avoid completely, but… she can’t, not now, not with Chris looking at her like he’s wondering who he needs to kill or at least threaten to maim to make her life easier and he would and-
“We need to talk.”
She knows that phrase never goes anywhere good when a woman says it – they both know it, apparently, given he’s now looking at her like he isn’t sure whether he needs to protect her or himself – and she knows it’s a bad move here and she’s out of good ones and-
“Then talk.”
“I don’t… what are we doing? You and me, this awkward-“
“If I did something wrong-“
It’s like dealing with a mirror version of herself, she thinks sometimes, except a different and more visible flavor of fucked-up and-
“If you did something, I’d say. I’m not scared of you.”
“Still-“
“I actually like you. And you’re a way better idea than I’ve had in a long time and that’s not saying much and it’s still enough that I have spent the past year fighting the desire to lead you upstairs and the more I get to know you the more I want and-“
“And you haven’t because…?”
“If I mess this up, there will be even more consequences than usual and I can’t-“
“What if we don’t?”
She’s quiet for a moment, braced against the kitchen counter, not sure how to respond, not sure-
That’s what she always wonders, isn’t it? And then things go badly anyways, and-
What if this one doesn’t go wrong? What a temptation. What a dream.
“You can’t promise me that,” she says almost too quietly.
“I can at least try. Version I heard, that’s more than-“
“I would prefer not to know what the boys told you about my past… I’m assuming they left out exactly how much they-“
“I’ve been on the receiving end of two vivid and completely different shovel speeches in the last few months, and somehow the human one was more-“
“I would prefer not to know,” Melissa repeats. “Plausible deniability.”
“We don’t have to do any of this, but if you want to…”
“Is it what you want?”
“I’m not sure I’ve ever been asked that question.”
“First time for everything?”
Chris answers by clearing the distance between them and kissing her forehead. “Clear enough for you?”
Not at all, but… they’ll figure it out. Eventually.

The 65th Grammys: A Show to remember.
The 65th Annual Grammy Awards was by far The Best Grammy Program that i've seen since Michael Jackson died. To Me, it started a little disjointed w/ Host, Trevor Noah; but Stevie Wonder & Smokey Robinson, along w/ Chris Stapleton & 'Wan Mor' set The Bar. Lizzo rose it even higher, & EVERYONE following her had to Bring It! The majority of the performances were Great! I haven't been able to say that about a Grammy Show for years. Everyone did their Thang, but I was especially proud of the Tribute to the 50th Anniversary of HipHop. It was fun to see LL get hyped about his Love for The Culture.
One Thing that stood out to Me, was the progression of HipHop Music over the years, as it played out On Stage. The Original Concept was Message Driven; there were few curses in the lyrics. The transition to profanity laced lyrics came on abruptly during the Tribute. That's the way Record Producers introduced it to Us; the difference was, for every 'Too Short', there was a 'Guru'. That's not the case today. That said, I think that it was well done- kudos to QuestLove & his Production Crew, as well as All of the Performers... Busta Represented, but Missy KILLED IT! One writer commented that the Tribute was 'somewhat chaotic', but she was showing her ignorance of The Culture. 'True HipHop Heads' saw a consistent narrative of Passing The Mic, from Artist to Artist- throughout the generations. Styles change, but The Method stays the same.
I haven't seen The Grammys in Years, so I don't know when they eliminated Male & Female Categories. It's curious- are they intentionally creating a Free for All in each Category; or are They consolidating Categories out of necessity? There were many more female artists nominated than men... I'm not a Harry Styles fan, but I found his acceptance speech sincere. I have my critique of Beyonce, but I commend her on making Grammy History. Her work ethic is legendary, so the achievement is Hard Won. Samara Joy's win for Best New Artist was a pleasant surprise. Her acceptance speech was pure & heartfelt. I remember hearing her for the 1st Time, & wish her well. As for Lizzo's win- all I can say is: About Damn Time! The Woman is a Force. I hope that this win allows Lizzo to get the Respect she deserves as an Artist.
A particular Truth that stood out to me throughout this Program, is the contribution of Black Music to the overall Global Culture. This is important @ a Time when Other Groups either downplay, or take Credit for Black American Music Trends. I appreciate All of the Genres featured, but from Stevie & Smokey's performance, to Lizzo, Mary, the HipHop Tribute for The Departed, to the 'God Did' performance- U can feel a Special Energy in each. These performances were Soul Stirring. Each brought their A- Game, & it made for an excellent Program. In contrast, Steve Lacy confused me. He 'kinda sorta' reminded me of Lenny Kravitz, & his band reminded me of Mint Condition. Both sounded like 2nd Generation copies.
I found Sam Smith & Kim Petra's performance of 'Unholy' to be dark & heavy, in comparison to the other performances on the Program. It seemed to play up to the Urban Legend of Hollywood Parties & Satanic Rituals. I found myself wondering:: Did they place a ritual in the middle of the Program? I'm reminded of Lil Nas X's Grammy performance of 'Montero'. Trevor Noah's 'devil' reference afterwards was warranted; the whole thing bothered me. Clearly, I'm not alone. I always looked @ Sam Smith as a 'Boy George' type, but I guess he sees himself more as a 'George Michael' type... I think he's wrong.
In contrast, Luke Combs reminds me of a pleasant mix of Clint Black & Kenny Rogers- 'Old School' Country. Brandi Carlile's performance of 'Broken Horses' reminded me of a mix of Bonnie Raitt & Melissa Etheridge - Powerful. Harry Style's performance of 'As it was', reminded me of Classic 80s British Pop. I thought it was a well done, 2nd Generation effort; especially when compared to Steve Lacey. Bad Bunny had the Honor of setting off The Program. I think he brought energy, but his band lacked the dynamic of the other Artists. I can't help but think that The Miami Sound Machine, or Pit Bull would've brought a stronger dynamic to their musical performance.
All in All, the 65th Grammys was memorable. The performances stood out, but the Tribute to Dr. Dre, along w/ Grammy wins for Willie Nelson & Bonnie Raitt made it special. It was a very thoughtful mix of Old & New... The Motown Sound continues to stand the Test of Time; Stevie & Smokey made it look easy! Future Nominees know to bring their Best Effort.
-I'm curious to see what Next Year's Program will look like.
