I got tubes implanted in my ears this morning to help my hearing loss and regulate pressure in my ears. I woke up and immediately got assaulted by sounds. I HATE IT. why is everything so LOUD??? This is abject misery. I've been walking around with my hands over my ears bc *shocking* noise is noisy.

You know whenever a deaf /or hh person mentions that they don't like to use hearing aids and there's aaaalways that ONE person that's like "idk how you can handle that. you're so brave.🥺"

Frankly my dear, hearing perfectly is overrated. And I envy every one of you lucky chumps that can turn your hearing aids off. 😭

Yeahh, if anyone wondered where i went for the last couple of weeks art-wise, i was working on this- a FULLY RENDERED ANIMATIC IN TIME FOR THE LUNAR NEW YEAR because why not 🫠👌

good morning beloveds. i spent most the time before i opened my eyes internally wrestling with myself and trying to comprehend that last night did in fact happen and i am still miserable. in my mind i'm sending all of you the lb and all the oilers hugs. we shouldn't have had to go through that fr 😕❤️

oops I forgot to mention that uhh the new wand is done!! it’s been finished for a while tbh, I just procrastinated on gluing it all back together and taking a semi-decent pic. there’s only a couple key changes I made - re-doing it so it has the zig-zag bend ofc and coating the copper base part so it doesn’t tarnish and stays shiny :)

anyway THIS is as close to canon as I can make it!! I’m glad it’s done and I’m very proud of it but also I am never doing this again lol
