Sandrine skipped NextGen with another training concussion…not sure whether Montreal is just the only training camp honest about concussion protocols (the others definitely hide their injuries), or if it’s also the case that they’ve got too many teams and safety isn’t where it should be as a result.
it is worrying how many of the skaters get concussed. maybe it's not the total number of teams at the school that would make it too much, but how many are on the ice at one time. and all these years of training videos, vlogs, glimpses of practices - they don't seem to have more teams on the ice at a time than other busy schools? they routinely practice at other rinks in the MTL area, so overflowing Gadbois's not an issue
every team competing is doing elements where accidents can happen - i don't know what IAM would be doing differently than everyone else that would cause them to have more head injuries?
it wouldn't be pretty, but sometimes it feels like everyone should be wearing protective head gear. singles skaters too. pairs teams especially
