Hi, can you help me with a recipe problem? For some reason my hand prop for my food won't work and i'm not sure what i'm doing wrong. For the prop package i changed the name and gave the object definition and catalog a new instance, and for the single package i added a object tuning and put the name and definition under the prop affordance. Is there something else i'm missing/doing wrong? Thanks!

Hello, in case you did not do so, when you clone the object tuning, it's better to clone it from an EA food that uses the similar utensil type as your food. For example, if your food is eaten with a fork, then clone the tuning from an EA food that uses a fork; if your food is eaten with hands, then clone the tuning from a food that uses hands.

When I did that, (it's been a long time since I worked on recipes, so as far as I can remember) usually just replacing the prop definition ID in the object tuning would work fine. Make sure it's definition ID, not Instance ID.

Also, search for "245636" or "245635" in the food object tuning and you should see something like:

<T n="reference">245635<! --consumable_Anim_EatType_Hands--></T>

or

<T n="reference">245636<! --consumable_Anim_EatType_Utensil--></T>

Try changing the reference bewteen these two and see if anything changes.

I think that's all I've edited to make custom props work in my recipes.

But the recipes I've made don't usually involve other types of custom props other than foodHand, so not sure if there's something else I don't know about. If it still doesn't work, all I can come up with is to double check your ID numbers, compare your tuning with EA tuning, and search for words like "utensil" "prop" "hand" to see if anything is missing. Hope your issue will be solved soon!

DM Resource: Goliath Names

So, I keep name lists as a DM, and I don’t know if this is useful to anyone else or not. If it is, please reblog or like, so I know to make more.
