Was meant to go to the DC Stand up for Science rally on Friday but got sick the day of with what I thought was a minor sore throat and cough.
....have been coughing and maintaining a fever pretty near 100 for over 24 hours now. Fun.
(also if I'm still sick when I'm meant to be teaching- this will be the second in a semester where I don't get to do this particular lab, which is really annoying because I came up with a mini-activity to try to help the students understand things better, and haven't actually gotten to try it out yet)

If anyone is looking for a way to volunteer in their community, check with your local food bank/helping hand/etc. The one I volunteer for is desperate for help, and even if you don’t have a ton of time, there are things you can do to help out that don’t take all day.

went out for woodfired pizza downtown last night & it was good but i felt bad cause there was only 1 person running the kitchen
