Sydney
We camped up in a lovely little town called Kiama. Our campervan a mere stone throw away from the beach. We slept for the night and had an alarm set for 5:15 to enjoy the sunrise!
Kiama is also known for it’s blowhole. Sea water creates so much pressure in a small cave that it shoots water out of a hole in the top, it is meant to look incredible during the storm. When we visited it was beautiful and sunny, so we only had “small” water bursts.
Not one of my photos, but a fantastic image taken of a proper blow! Reference: http://www.visitnsw.com/destinations/south-coast/kiama-area/kiama/attractions/kiama-blowhole
On our way closer to the Sydney city, we had a few stops at some of the temples. The first one being the Fokuangshan Nan Tien Buddhist temple, and the second being a Hindu temple.
Fokuangshan Nan Tien temple was at the top of a massive set of stairs, and I had to conquer them twice! (my shorts were too short - many apologies to the people who worked there, I did not mean to be disrespectful).
On the way up, there were cute Buddha statues!
This temple was so calm and quiet, with upraising quotes around. At the end I took away the message to live, but to live with respect for others and the earth.
After a tour of beautiful statues, and inspiring quotes we were on to the hindu temples. Much like the Buddhist temple, it was filled with beautiful statues.
After an eventful day exploring the temples, we were on to another river boat cruises around Sydney harbour. This time with 5 courses! Unfortunately this was the first day of rain, so our view out the window was obscured. Still, the lightening storm was amazing to watch! We also had a shock when we looked out the windows and there were bats flying around the boat!
If we carry on like this, I am going to have to start loosening my belt!
