Another Swiss biscuit, and this one is much more internationally known: the children’s favourite, the Spitzbuben!

Obviously the classic jam colour is red, but we sometimes make some with orange or passion fruit jam, and obviously I had to do a mysterious green jam to complete the trio of hearts. Side note: Grian’s iconic face silhouette is actually perfect for this, I’m considering making these IRL.

For this advent calendar I’m planning to do a lot of art sharing one of my favourite Christmas traditions: biscuits! Christmas biscuits are a big thing in Switzerland, with plenty of different classics that will be baked in batches over the Christmas tin, with many discussions and opinions on the best ones!

Chräbli, the biscuits above, are one of my personal favourites, so it’s no surprise that they should be assigned to one of my favourite life series members, Gem. But more importantly, I thought that the traditional ‘branch’ shape kind of looks like the antlers so often associated with her,
