Neil loves his name. One time he wrote his name in his notebook with a heart instead of a dot above the 'i'. Aaron caught him by looking over his shoulder and laughed so hard he almost passed out. Years later on the invitation for Katelyn and Aaron's wedding Neil's name is written with the heart. Andrew thinks it's just how Katelyn writes, but Neil knows that it's Aaron trying to piss him off.

"Why are you writing Neil's name with a heart?" Katelyn asks her fiancé as they are filling out the wedding invitations.

Aaron looks at her with a diabolical smile on his face. "It will piss him off, you'll see."

{just some silly headcanons i thought abt watching Terrifier 2, switch/dom! gender neutral! reader and a little nsfw under cut, crying, spanking, mdni!!}

general head canons:

- he’s completely mute, as we saw when he gets stabbed through the foot, he cant even scream in agony. youre not gonna convince me he’s just so good at staying quiet he didnt scream.

- he knows asl but never bothers to use it really (cynical and just assumes most people wont know asl).

- but if he has an s/o he would genuinely get emotional catching them practicing signing in private (it’s mostly so they could understand what he was signing but it was also nice to be able to sign back).

- starts to use asl a lot more once he knows someone can understand him, and he’s more than willing to meet you halfway when youre first learning, either spelling or miming words you didn’t know yet to try and teach you.

- he probably also traces words on your skin (mostly for his sake, he doesn’t care if you can tell what he’s writing) or uses half assed one handed signs when you’re cuddled up or in a position where you cant see each other’s hands as well.

- still mimes a lot of stuff in character cause it’s what he’s used to.

- basically doesn’t give a shit about making it easy for people to understand him other than his s/o.

nsfw hcs:

- yeah he’s even silent in bed, but dont worry he’ll still show you how good you feel with his ridiculous faces and how grabby he is.

- if he’s subbing he does that batting his lashes with a pouty face to beg (its not so innocent looking though when he’s on his back, legs folded up to his shoulders while he leaks on his stomach waiting for your strap/cock).

- but its hard to deny him when he uses those pretty eyes and blonde lashes to get his way.

- loves to be mandhandled a bit, wants to be spanked till he’s silently sobbing every once in a while. (maybe wants you to make him cry with more extreme play if you’re up for it. go nuts cause the neighbors wont hear a thing.)

- has a few hand signs that are used as safe words, so it’s important you can always see his hands even if he’s tied up.

Currently obsessed with the concept of mutual and acknowledged hanahaki. Like two people who both have hanahaki for each other, and who both know about it, who both know that the other loves them and still aren’t cured.

The flowers stay, not because their love isn’t reciprocated, but because they don’t belive in it, or because its temporary, because the other deserves better, because they have complicated history, because they both already have significant others, perhaps the love isn’t enough because they both can’t put that love first, maybe their ideals and lotalties come first for both. Its not unrequited love, but its not quite enough.

- he's so rarely injured but I think when he is, he's very sensitive to the pain and considerably weakened but still very Smile Through The Pain lol

- he's not often made nauseous by things but overly processed foods do the trick lol he absolutely Hates smelling that shit

- super noisy when he's sick. a constant low static buzz but also he's groaning and moaning and grumbling the whoooole time

- his hearing is very sensitive when he's not feeling well and he'll go as far as covering his ears when it's too much

- if he's ever truly very sick or injured and not much is helping him heal or get better, Charlie know now she can enlist Rosie's help, seeing how much Alastor trusts her...and Rosie Alwaysss knows what to do <3

- going off a point on the last ask...Alastor with a high fever mistaking his caretakers for his mother...it's namely Charlie and Angel Dust, and they realize too that during these times Alastor doesn’t understand where he is, and they think he might believe he's back on earth. Talking about New Orleans or his radio show...and interestingly enough, Husk is the only one he names correctly...Angel Dust is very suspicious about this and ends up finding out they knew each other for a while when they were alive 😔😭

Kent Connolly?

Thank you for request! Kent Connolly is probably one of my favourite ghouls!

Pretty good at drawing! After the war he had a stint where he'd make one-shot continuations to comfort himself. I'd say 20-25 before he got burnt out. He either, lost, destroyed or sold some of them.

He still does draw and is trying to remaster the comics. He does commissions! MacCready commissioned him to make a "get well soon" card and small doodles when he sends letters to Duncan back in D.C.

He's always been pretty insecure, but, at some point he gained some confidence. Unfortunately, during Vic's reign over Good neighbour obliterated that. His men once destroyed a few of his comics.

Idk how to explain it, but he kinda has Silver Shroud pretend to advise him on stuff or help take care of himself. Like, somedays he can't really bring himself to make food or live for the day, but the shroud in his head encourages him to do so. It's helped him this far.

He and the other pre-war Goodneighbour ghouls actually get together 4 times a year to talk and have a support Group. Kent brings pre-war holotapes and movies.

Pre-war he'd volunteer at shelters and would work at a comic book store.

Sportacus and physical affection!

adapted from some writing I've been doing, based my reading of the character from some of season one, some info from a podcast episode, and a little projection on my part so shhhh -It has been said that he's a words guy but he adapts easily to other love languages and especially uses touch to communicate. If you celebrate a victory expect him to pick you up and twirl you -His skin is so soft. There is not a single greasy spot, not a single rough patch. Nuzzling him is like cuddling a baby. -Are you coping with a rough past? Do you have a body that tells on you for eating giant slices of cake every day? Good news! Sporty doesn't care. He will willingly touch your rolls, moles, stretch marks, and scars and handle them all with the upmost reverence because they're what make you you! He loves every bit o' you -He will tickle you with his mustache. This will sometimes be intentional -He is a big spoon, he LIVES for holding his partner like a cherished stuffie -Don't like making the first move or initiating contact? Not comfy leading in ballroom dance? Sportacus is a natural born leader himself who loves to woo his partner with his strength and confidence. He's especially fond of taking charge so once he's made sure this is what you want he is HOLDING that HAND and you are getting DIPPED -Do you need to make the first move or initiate contact? Not comfy following in ballroom dance? As a natural born leader, Sportacus also knows the importance of delegating responsibility. He is patient and easily adaptable and more than comfortable being the one dipped on the dance floor. He won't be taken aback if you give him the first smorch. He lu <3

-Speaking of, his partner being comfortable means the world to the hero. Expect him to pad you heavily with pillows if you wanna spend some time on floors and shift his own body to make sure you can breathe and that your ribs aren't popping and that the circulation to your arm isn't being cut off. No it does not matter how much you weigh, if you're most comfy using him as a pillow you will not hurt him. This is Sportacus we're talking about guys c'mon -Because that head is shielded by that infernal cap of his, his scalp is veeeery sensitive from the lack of contact. He will melt like putty when you run your hands through his hair -Sitting down is kinda boring... but not with you! Cuddling with his favorite person provides Sportacus with PLENTY of stimulation. He will never get tired of you he promise <3 -Emotional comfort is just as important! If you have intrusive thoughts about people who didn't touch you kindly, are afraid it might happen to you, or want to be eased into the world of physical contact due to sensory issues with someone you trust, he will reassure as many times as you need that you are safe and he will never be those people, offer arms/hands for chewing on, and take it as slow or as fast as you want. He loves you and not getting to touch your hair or smth isn't at all a dealbreaker

- Because he is very active his blood circulation is very good and he is usually warm to the touch, perfect for partners who need a lil extra! - Because he is very active, his own body is well padded and comfy. Those muscles were MADE for hugging baybey~

Jasper as a character is so interesting because he ends up a Confederate because he can't actually empathise with the slaves and because he simply accepts cruelty around him, and then when he becomes a vampire he literally can't ignore others suffering because it hurts him, but even decades after he becomes a Vegetarian he still can't get a hang of it partially because he still can't see humans as *people*. Idk there's smth to be said about him becoming a vampire because of his own cruelty and then being eternally in horrific pain because of said cruelty that fucks.

Jasper's whole life is a curse & i love to see it

here we have a Confederate supposedly so empathetic that he acquired a "gift"... yet not so empathetic as to recognize he was fighting for the enslavement of an entire race. despite seeing the consequences of slavery literally every day. now, the man who spent his last human days denying the humanity in others is forced to spend his immortal life being slapped in the face with their emotions. forever. hueeueueueu-

yeah, i would call that "gift" a curse, actually.

if Twilight weren't a horror story, we might see a discussion between Jasper/Bella about how immortality forces you to confront the darker side of your nature (e.g. "there will come a day when the societal beliefs imbued unto you leaves you standing on the wrong side of history"), & Jasper's journey with finding love & humanity. OR, y'know, he could've just had ONE (1) line where he says "yeah i'm not proud of my service." simply, if Twilight weren't a horror, Jasper could see the error of his ways & change for the better.

HOWEVER. Twilight vampires are "mentally frozen" when they turn, so Jasper is likely still a racist who does not regret his service. no matter how many times he is confronted with his cruelty, he won't change. meaning whatever life he chooses, his gift dooms him.

wow! eternal curse!

we see evidence of this frozen mental state in his decision to go vegetarian. he doesn't switch bc he feels bad about killing humans:

"I could feel everything my prey was feeling. And I lived their emotions as I killed them. [...] You've experienced the way I can manipulate the emotions around myself, Bella, but I wonder if you realize how the feelings in a room affect me." (Eclipse, Ch 13)

note the dehumanizing term "prey" & the focus on himself. he laments not that the human lives he's taking have value but that their dying moments harsh his vibe.

the irony! trapped as an empath while never possessing the ability to be an empath! CURSE CURSE C-

herein lies a bigger, juicier curse: Jasper is, himself, (hot take) enslaved in the sense that he will never know freedom, philosophically speaking, due to the choices he made in life. the series tries to paint him as a master tactician & competent leader; fanon often paints him as a free-thinking amoral black sheep. in reality, he simply obeys the commands of higher authorities & abides by their worldview regardless of how toxic it is to himself or others.

in the beginning, he had María.

he entered the Southern Vampire Wars not by his own volition but stayed because he was content not having a choice. however one feels about María, the fact of the matter is 1) as a newborn he was stronger, bigger, & faster than her & could have run away or overpowered her, 2) had the "gift" to identify emotions & could KNOW when/if she was malicious or manipulating him, & 3) could have escaped by influencing her emotions to make her disinterested in him. at any time in the 100 years they were together, he could have left. he talks about never knowing a life outside the war & discovering "options I'd never dreamed I had." ok???? run 100 miles in any direction & you would have seen a life outside of war. BOI-

instead, he took comfort in being submissive & adopting someone else's ideology. not only did it remind him of his past, but it meant he had no need to reflect on his actions or beliefs. he prefers others dictate his worldview & order him around even if it means being unhappy. he only left because he was going to be assassinated, & even then, it wasn't until someone else told him another life was possible that he "realized" another life was possible.

notably, the period where he's most free— living with Peter & Charlotte— is his rock-bottom where "the depression got worse." but, again, not because he realized the value of human life: "I was so wearied by killing [...] even mere humans."

then he meets Alice.

Alice, who has visions of being vegetarian & converts him so they can live with the Cullens. Alice, who dictates how her family should live their lives to the point where she manipulates them. Alice, who goes so far as to dress the Cullens, who orders Jasper to wait in the car while she & Bella go shopping, who Jasper refers to as "truly [...] one frightening little monster" because for all his experience she can still beat him in combat.

his eternal soulmate is authority.

despite being unhappy with his vegetarian life, as it makes him feel weak & coddled & a liability to everyone around him, he follows the lifestyle because Alice tells him to.

then there's the Volturi, another authoritative body. "We owe the Volturi for our present way of life," says acclaimed bootlicker Jasper Hale, who in the same moment shudders at the atrocities they committed, yet strangely sees no other way for a governing body to keep the peace... so... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

but, since Carlisle outranks the Volturi as an authoritative figure in that he more closely aligns with Jasper's new worldview, Jasper sees no problem deposing the vampiric governing body if it means his sister-in-law of like 2 months can keep her demonic spawn. so i guess we don't really owe the Volturi that much

to his credit, we see glimmers of him questioning his leaders: 1) his decision to leave Maria, 2) his considering switching diets to defeat Victoria, & 3) going against the Volturi. but, again, these decisions are all just a result of his self-preservation & submitting to the higher authority du jour.

in the end, he has the perfect storm of conditions that would allow him to escape the prison he's created, to find freedom & to love humanity unconditionally... but he won't. Jasper's ultimate curse is that regardless of whether he realizes the enslavement of his own self, he will never leave his cage because it's cozy & easy & allows him to never think for himself.

AAAANYWAY Jasper's life sucks & he's trapped in an eternal prison of his own making. lol

Choptop Being Taken Care Of

{just something thats been sitting in my drafts, fueled by my desire to take care of bobby and make him not feel so self conscious of his plate grossing you out}

ok but sitting on the couch with chop sitting on the floor in front of you while you gently clean and taking care of the healing skin around his plate while he blisses out and drools like a dog.

probably a little nervous to trust someone else with it but after he feels how amazing it is to have someone else scratch and put soothing lotions on his scalp, he asks you to do it almost every night.

you even see some hair regrowth if you take care of it for him. i like to think most of his hair eventually grew back in. its just really patchy around his scars.

(also still really jumpy if you sneak up behind him even on accident so please be careful or you’ll give him a real “nam flashback”)

did you hear about what Martin said about Susan and Linda on the Twitter space he hosted on the 27th? i thought of you instantly when he started talking about them and have been waiting for you to post your thoughts! :-)

HEHE YES IM THE ONE WHO’S QUESTION LED TO THAT!!!!!

Now for those who didn’t listen to that space, Martin said that Linda called her to say goodbye but never specified how it went of course. Besides “hey Susan I’m leaving sorry this is really impacting my mental health” “gaaaaaaaaaaey”/j

This is all a personal headcanon but I like to think that their friendship grew incredibly distant ever since Linda married Felix, Susan probably stopped talking to her altogether for a while and it would leave Linda very confused and upset. They might’ve started talking to eachother again a little bit as the series of events began to approach but only very brief small talk, maybe Linda complaining a little and giving Susan a few life updates and them both talking about stuff they’ve been noticing with others lately (especially Felix’s drinking), but nothing deeper than that.

I see Susan being extremely emotionally closed off to most people except maybe a select few that she knows very closely, so if you were to ask her what’s going on in her life she’d give you a very vaguely watered down version and not what’s actually going on or how she’s really managing herself emotionally.

So basically she used to be more open with Linda, but during that period she sort of just started treating her like a stranger.

So when Linda called her first to tell her that she’s finally leaving, Susan acted how she usually would, keeping it calm, understanding and respectful and wishing her luck, but she won’t really show any more than that. Or that she cried later and felt pretty bad that they couldn’t be so close anymore and that she’ll probably never be able to make up for herself acting so distant for the past many years again.

Of course this all comes from how I view Susan as a character myself though and also the fact that I refuse to pass up the idea that she has feelings for Linda. I like to think that she introduced her to Felix cuz Linda was getting more desperate to find a relationship and Susan was getting weird thoughts so in a panic she shoved her off to him so she could avoid the urges. They’ve been boiling within her since highschool and she always was able to push them aside or excuse them as “she’s just my very close friend I don’t have many close friends so she feels extra special” and as the years went by they began distracting her a lot from her work and were growing stronger and more unavoidable aaand they were really beginning to affect how she’d interact with Linda and you see Susan hates feeling like another has any control over her and Linda just wouldn’t shut up about hooooow badly she wants a relationship and hoooow many dates keep failing and Susan was at the point to where she was starting to get the kind of dreams that make you stare up at the ceiling in horror when you open your eyes in the morning so one day when she overheard Felix speaking about being single and wanting to start looking around, she decided to introduce her to him. Susan allegedly never finds a problem she can’t fix in some way so that was her solution.

They hit it off, Susan’s solution isn’t working for some reason cuz she doesn’t feel any relief at all and in fact feels worse but just sucks it up and just focuses on her work and looks the other way. Linda and Felix get married, Susan feels like throwing up the entire day and now feels somehow even more worse by now and suddenly whenever Linda wants to chat she’s suddenly always “busy” every time. Susan’s often busy anyways but you know yourself when there’s a difference between “shit I’m busy that day, let’s do Sunday instead” and “Sorry I can’t, I’m busy”, “I don’t know when I’ll be available.”

While Linda and Felix were dating, Susan probably assumed that she was just jealous that she couldn’t have a little fun at her age herself. When they got married, Susan told herself that she’s probably so depressed over it cuz it’s making her feel like she’s fallen behind others her age and that maybe she feels bitter that all of these people are moving on and going through these important life stages while she remains behind. Which made no sense otherwise cuz Susan couldn’t give any less of a fuck about starting any sort of family or going out. But that’s what Susan would tell herself that she feels so she wouldn’t have to think about it any further. By the time Susan thinks she’s over whatever it was, she begins having brief talks with Linda occasionally. Not often and still a bit distant, but way better than before.

So yeah can you imagine how shitty and guilty Susan felt that whole time of her weird bitterness toward Linda being in a relationship and not being able to approach her much anymore or how Felix turned out to be such a shitty husband.

If this headcanon is aligned with twf’s canon, she’d probably be dead before she even gets to actually acknowledge and accept her feelings as they are. Such is life though. Not like she could’ve done anything about it.
