My heart felt so heavy listening to Friday try and save O’Connor, what an enigma that man is. I am ROOTING for Victoria, where is Yaretzi to help her shed this self-hate and embrace her sunlight?? 🥺 I also loved that Harrow and Victoria had a moment of power but let’s not forget that they are actual children, they left a friend behind in a burning building during that same moment … And OUGH Writing Desk! It’s so interesting to finally get a glimpse at his actual motives and how it may be too little too late!! 

📞 YAY @thespcpodcast is back!! I thought the premise of this episode was so interesting! Let the nice vampire do their good work! The exploration of how therapy needs has changed with time and how different age groups often seek different things was such an insightful bit of world-building. I’m so excited for more.

FLASH REPORT: The Pokémon Company sends all toy plushies to Southern Californian YouTuber [#RadyoBanderaEXCLUSIVE]

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA -- The popular self-animated YouTube creator known as JaidenAnimations (whose real name is Jaiden Dittfach), received an exciting package in the mail from The Pokémon Company (TPC). The company sent all of their toy plushies to be featured on her channel, per Jaiden's recent YouTube video and tweets last Thursday (April 20th, 2023 -- Pacific local time).

Dittfach, who creates animated videos about her life experiences, expressed her gratitude and excitement over the generous gift, just before she started her own animated YouTube channel. She even joked that she now has an entire room dedicated to Pokémon plushies.

On Twitter from Wednesday afternoon, Dittfach shared photos of packages containing hundreds of stuffed Pokémon of all shapes and sizes. Fans of the channel were thrilled to see the collaboration between JaidenAnimations and TPC.

However, some viewers are concerned about California's hoarding laws that prohibit excessive hoarding of items that pose a fire risk or prevent people from safely moving through their homes. It is important to note that there is no clear evidence that Dittfach first violated these laws, but it's worth exploring the potential consequences.

According to Shouse Law Group (SLG), which was based in Wilshire Boulevard, the said city and state... Hoarding violations in California resulting in fines of up to U$D1,000 (PHP56,020) per day in each continued violations.

Additionally, the authorities may order the removal of plushie objects that pose a public safety risk, which can come at a significant cost to the responsible individual. While Dittfach's love for Pokémon may have resulted in a massive collection of plushies, there's no indication that she's violated California's hoarding laws.

For now, she can enjoy her new collection and continue to create entertaining content for her followers, as of this writing.

The tidbit about Funimation digital purchase-to-own options going away reminds me of what happened with Jmanga back in the day.

The site was launched in 2011 as a manga-exclusive streaming service. Like, a way to get interesting manga titles to western audiences. It had a very janky payment model (you had a subscription that gave you points, which you then used to buy books), but it was sponsored by a number of major Japanese publishers and had some titles nerds such as myself might like. As a young fan with a little disposable income, I bought into that hype and paid for more than one title on it. (Poyo Poyo was one of them, Hoshi no Samidare was another.) Sure, the purchases were going into your jmanga library and you couldn't download a pdf, but what's the difference? It wasn't like the site was going away, right?

…You know how this story ends. Site didn't even last 3 years, shuttered in March 2013, and all those digital books you digitally owned? Suddenly you didn't own 'em so much. Not the only time the internet taught me that media only owned via streaming or DRM aren't really owned at all.

I still have a few DVDs and a few books of manga on my shelf that I bought years before Jmanga then, but I got no copies of those books digital or otherwise. I miss 'em, too.
