Belter alert - Proper Italo House Claxon! It can only be Funk Machine -I've Closed the Door. Released on Flying Records from Italy in 1991. I finally tracked this record down with the help of a good friend of mine. I had heard it everywhere back in the day but it kept slipping through my fingers then I forgot what it was. Listening to an old Sasha tape reminded me what an excellent record this is and I managed with the big mans help to track it down. It's all about the Lungo mix on this 12" Heavily influenced by Charvoni and Always There, this slice of Italo House heaven this really does tick every box. It brings back so many memories personally, but listening to it again, I'm pretty certain you could still drop this now and get the same reaction. This is essential for any new listener to Italo House who have been turned onto it by Joey Negro's new compilation.
