"May I take your drink orders?" the digital program asked.
"Beer," Jackie answered first. She added, "Uh, make it a Kirin."
Switch glanced around. The large number of broadcasting signals made her light-headed. "Uh, a Rum-and-Sparkle Cola," she finally ordered.
"A glass of wine," Mirror stated. "Syrah, if you please."
The digital creature nodded and flew off as it uploaded the orders to the bar. Jackie bounced in her seat.
"This is going to be great!" she stated to her two companions, "Just a mares night with us having a few drinks and checking out the menu. I see a cute mare there on the dance floor by herself. What do you think? Recently broke up with her coltfriend?"
"Ugh, control yourself," Mirror replied in disgust. "I'm not interested in picking up a date from this..." she waves her hand a bit, unable to find the word.
"Yeah, and I'm already seeing someone," Switch added.
Jackie shook her head. "Oh come on! Ain't like I'm talking serious hookups. We're just here to have a little fun."
A waiter walked up to the trio with their drinks. He gently handed them out with a smile. Mirror touched a few buttons on her commlink and tipped the stallion twenty bits.
