Adjust & Recalibrate 🔥 These are the two words I wrote on my whiteboard on Sunday evening. And then Monday happened. Boy, oh boy was it ironic that not even 12 hours ago, I had these two words as a sense of grounding for the week. Monday was a normal Monday, and then I call our apt. complex…ready for it…?! 😳 I asked them when they would need a move-out notification. Was it 60 days, 90 days…I couldn’t remember. Well, come to find out they asked me why I was moving out in January, and I said: “Well that’s when the lease ends.” “That’s confusing b/c we have your lease ending in July 2021.” What?! LOL! 😩 So the details of this story aren’t what’s important, but it’s the message behind that is. I am a planner. I had in our calendar that we had a 7-month lease and by some awful miscommunication at the resigning, the manager had us sign a 12-month lease instead. 😣 So, what do you do in this scenario? Apparently the message was on the whiteboard: Adjust and Recalibrate. In the big scheme of things…it’s not the end of the world. But! When we have been separated from our belongings for a REALLY long time…we had plans to move and be reacquainted with our things. It kind of stinks, but life moves on. 🙌🏼 What do you do when life throws you challenges? How do you adjust and recalibrate to move forward the best way that you can? I’d love to know!
