loveless flowey is so sooo important to me. as an autistic loveless aro with ptsd the idea of post pacifist flowey being able to accept himself as who he has become instead of feeling that his existence is somehow wrong is so touching. he should be allowed to be okay with being flowey. like the whole... Thing. is that what loveless aros feel and think is consistently deemed as something inhuman, and it's extremely isolating (please read this if ur confused on lovelessness <3). flowey thinks he can't possibly ever understand or be the same as everyone else because of his trauma and lovelessness and it's understandable, especially in a world that claims monsters are literally made of compassion and love etc

flowey clearly cares about those around him from the way we've seen him interact with others, but it's not really something he can personally view as "love". he struggles to understand himself and the way he feels about who he used to be-- the "old" him who "could" love. the idea of loving anyone is so tied to the past that he already views as separate from who he's become, that he can't really understand what love is even Supposed to feel like anymore.

i really want him to be okay with who he is now even if it means not ever being able to feel the way he did before his trauma, because that's the reality of it. we can't just make the way we feel go away. flowey is constantly punishing himself for the way he feels and him saying that he did the right thing even if things didn't turn out perfect is suuuuch a huge step. he has to make amends with himself and allow himself to just. live without punishing himself just for existing

i could talk at length about how a lot of his actions during his resets were likely a result of subconscious self destructive behaviors and control issues due to trauma BUT that's not what this is about i just think. loveless flowey. being able to say he's loveless and not viewing it as a shameful thing that somehow makes him less than anyone else. is so So important. it's like buddy u just understand the world differently because u have trauma u gotta work through and thats okay

pretty much i just wish that lovelessness wasn't something thats looked down on just because we don't feel what we're "supposed" to feel in the way others feel it or whatever allo people say. some people are aro some people loveless some people are aplatonic and we shouldn't condemn anyone for it because it's not something that Should be condemned. it's just how some people are and i adore the idea of flowey just allowing himself to Be

undertale: yeah so there is this character named flowey that used to feel love but doesn't anymore even if he tries he doesn't feel love anymore and he is very scared and depressed about this and doesn't talk to anyone and thinks he is broken and life is not worth it. what a tragic made up scenario am i right everyone. anyway he plays god to distract himself for his suffering and blah blah blah things happen he feels love for a little while again but actually ends up not feeling love at the end! And we later see him have a healthier happy life even if he doesn't feel love! What a crazy made up scenario right guys

Alright, it’s finally here, I worked on this like all month and it’s STILL somehow late, but I finished my pride month piece !! I’m so happy with it ! I had a blast with this even if I desperately wish I released it on-time, but oh well. I did enjoy making this, I tried to have each of them show off their respective flags by wearing accessories that to me felt in character for them. Alphys wearing enamel pins, Papyrus wearing stickers, Asgore’s flower crown, Mettaton’s feather boa and earrings, Sans literally just scribbling his flag colors on a shitty piece of paper and taping it to his forehead, etc. I also gave Papyrus and Alphys paraphernalia related to their special interests. It was definitely Frisk’s idea to wrap that gay ass ribbon around Flowey’s pot, though. Don’t worry he’s not homophobic lol, he just doesn’t care and doesn’t wanna be part of this picture. I did make Alphys and Mettaton’s proportions slightly off and it kills me a little but oh well. I also deliberately made this in a CMYK color profile, because I wanna make this into prints, someday. If that’s something you’d be interested in, please sound off in the replies ! I’d love to hear ! These are all my personal headcanons for the characters’ identities. I’ll list them in order from left to right (ironically saving probably the gayest character for last) in case some of the lesser known identities or flags get lost in translation.

ok my genuine thoughts on uty it was very cool and fun ! i love all the animations!! I’m not good at verbalizing Things I Like About Things so this post is kinda just nitpicks. but overall i really like the game ! don’t get it twisted!

I appreciate that every route has new information to offer but something About exactly that feels off. in ut no mercy there’s not really any important story information you’re Missing. in pacifist dalv mentions he thought you were a specter haunting him, I didn’t learn until watching a no mercy run that he was talking about how he witnessed the integrity soul’s murder. I don’t think we learn about their murder at all Except in no mercy. a lot of people don’t Like playing ut’s no mercy and they’re not missing anything by not doing so, so to put an important bit of information like that in a route I didn’t even want to watch originally WHILE I UNDERSTAND it’s a free fangame and they want you to Play It, it felt. Strange. like if you only play pacifist there’s just a lot of information you’re missing and things you don’t get answered. like finding out that flowey was the reason you fell through the floor only in neutral. pacifist actually feels kinda incomplete

on that note i LOVE how the game focuses on its own character and areas, the areas they Do reuse from ut being different Parts of those areas. i love how they make the underground feel bigger by utilizing the fucking Cityscape Skylines of new home and the ruins that you see in ut. but i didn’t like how little time you spend with toriel and how she never gets closure on What Happened To Clover after falling through the floor. her speech in ut to frisk about “they come, they leave, they die” didn’t feel Reinforced with clover, they didn’t even make it to toriels actual House. the collection of shoes in varying sizes doesn’t include theirs. clover didn’t really leave any tangible mark on her At All. i was anticipating clover to talk to her about the missing poster they’d been holding. and also i would’ve liked to have seen asgore in pacifist, not fighting him ofc, but maybe just walking around, in ut they mention he used to do that, maybe your friends could try to keep him from seeing you. i was hoping clover would at least Have Seen the guy they would end up surrendering their soul To

also i know it could’ve come across Bad and reductive bc axis is a robot but i think it would’ve been funny for clover and ceroba to present axis The Trashcan Parter With A Bow and he goes “NOT INTERESTED” that after the fight where they try again he goes “HEY MAN. IM AROMANTIC�� source: im aromantic. anyway axis was maybe the funniest part of the game he made me outwardly laugh like two or three times

i talked about this earlier but there's something really upsetting to me about posts that declare a character as inhumane because they struggle to understand love and have ptsd, especially when there's several actual things that the character has done that are fucked up like. idk. murder.

i tend to really enjoy characters that act out due to trauma and struggle to understand love because those are things i've personally dealt with. i understand why others may not like them but pinning their "inhumanity" on struggling to understand love is just. seriously?? amatonormativity is so deeply ingrained in peoples brains and it's really upsetting to see as a loveless aro. lovelessness seems to be a bigger crime to people than murder when it comes to character analysis lol

there's so much that can go into loveless character analysis. for example flowey struggles to understand love due to trauma and because of this he feels extremely isolated in a world where love is considered something that makes people who they are. he feels trapped in a loop as he tries to deal with his trauma on his own because he thinks no one could possibly understand. his decision to exhaust everything he could do in the underground is a product of helplessness, isolation, and untreated trauma that he and his family didn't know how to handle.

so it just feels particularly hurtful and dense when i see extremely complicated traumatized loveless characters labeled as Evil and Beyond Help solely because they struggle to understand love. especially when stories with antagonists like this are typically about coming to terms with your trauma and allowing yourself to move on from the past. these characters act out in situations like this because of ostracization and desperation to be understood and safe.

pretty much i think if you think a character is Evil ask if this is because they have killed people or if you think the issue actually lies in their lovelessness. i keep seeing people look at characters that do bad things and they go "THIS IS BECAUSE THEY CANT FEEL LOVE!! MONSTER!!!" this isn't me saying that you aren't allowed to dislike characters cuz that's perfectly fine i Get It but sooo many times i see a post like "this character killed people :/ theyre EVIL cuz they CANT FEEL LOVE!!!" hey can we maybe focus on the Actual Crimes rather than ur own arophobia if we're talking about reasons we dislike characters thanks

IF Asriel is aromantic so he hasn't even considered it. Why do people like that stuff? Gross. Even before he became a flower, he didn't understand that. Why do people wanna nuzzle noses and kiss? What is the POINT of putting mouths together? Ew. >:P

I do wanna write a secret page involving that at some point. xD Aroace Asriel just really vibes with me when the type of love Flowey laments the most in UT is platonic love, and it's like "YEAH BOI." As an aroace it's like "oh neat."

I hope DR Asriel is aro because that would be fire.
